Parfums MDCI La Surprise & L’Aimee ~ new fragrances

Very frustrating
Today it would be impossible to launch a perfume like Poison de Dior, for example. Brand interlocutors now mostly have a marketing approach. Furthermore, to alleviate the burden and responsibility of a launch, we now work with ten teammates on the development of a fragrance before it is tested. We are not looking for the best fragrance, but for one that will not displease anyone. We work for two years on finding an audacious accord for which we spend two years more smoothing. It’s very frustrating.

Nomenclature Fluo_ral ~ fragrance review
If you’re already familiar with niche line Nomenclature, you know that their fragrances pay homage to various significant aroma chemicals, “clandestine infiltrators that spark off fragrant revolutions.” Nomenclature’s latest release, Fluo_ral, was developed by perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer to showcase the synthetic note Calone®. (I won’t be including that registered trademark for the rest of this review, but since Nomenclature uses it, there you go!) Additional notes include rhubarb, blackcurrant bud, tomato leaf, rose, pink pepper, Somalian incense and cedar.
Don’t be confused by the pun-ny name: Fluo_ral is not a floral perfume…
