Robin I love your SOTD and the hat reminds me of something. Back in the 90’s I had a beautiful black felt hat with a black velvet ribbon. A coworker saw me driving and instead of seeing the sophisticated young woman I was he saw-a witch’s hat. He meant no offense but I still laugh over it 🙂

Back from Toronto and I made one purchase: Theodoros Kalotinis Coffee Addict, dark bitter coffee plus a splash of caramel syrup, practically photorealistic. I suppose I didn’t need another coffee scent, since I already have and love CSP Vanille Café and Mugler Pure Coffee, but this is SO dark and so single-minded, without the CSP cream-and-sugar vibe. It’s great stuff, and at $75 CAD it’s practically free. (Bought samples of 5 other TK scents because I didn’t have much time for sniffing. Will report later.)
I’m in the remnants of yesterday’s PdN New York Intense this morning. Not really CP-compliant, but oh well. Long day yesterday — logged two hours of volunteer time (total, but for two separate organizations), and that was after work and after making dinner. I should *never* have allowed myself to get talked into being on the Grad Committee for my kid’s school. I’d been so good at avoiding parent committees in high school, until now. I’m still trying to figure out this apparently Canadian thing where we have a Grad dinner / dance for the parents and kids, and a Grad prom for the kids, and all of this (which comes to over $100k) has to be paid for and organized by parents, not the school. (I went to high school in the U.S.; the funding aspect and the parent dinner / dance are all new to me.) Ockeghem Teen is basically disinterested in both events, of course. Sigh.

Left the house at 5am to get a kid to the airport (she’s going to Japan to sightsee for 2 weeks!!) so it’s gonna be a 12 hour day for moi before I get back home. I went with Eternity Now because it has great lasting power. I don’t wear this one enough and forget how good it is….
