Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 14 July 2026 9 Comments

Chanel will launch Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu in August. Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu is a flanker to 2001's Coco Mademoiselle, which was a flanker to 1984's Coco. The name references the brand's Coco Crush Fine Jewelry collection.

Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu was developed by Chanel house perfumer Olivier Polge, who notes...

The identity of this [new] perfume is really the connection between this ambery woody accord and the fruity accord that is very strong, that catches you right away when you smell the perfume. It's grapefruit and lychee accord. There is a rosy sweetness in lychee that combines very well with the ambery woody note.

***

COCO MADEMOISELLE CRUSH ABSOLU is an affirmation of the self. It is not about conforming, but about revealing oneself, surprising oneself.

Additional notes include rose, jasmine, patchouli, vanilla and vetiver.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Crush Absolu will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

What a ridiculous name, for a Chanel at any rate.

I am not liking it either, but whatever. I guess maybe it attracts the jewelry fans? Or makes it seem like it’s all a cohesive offering?

You’re right–whatever. As long as they keep producing the good stuff…

I’m suspicious of the ambery woods, but will try it when I see it.

Terrible name for a flanker. Crush makes no sense when used in this context, regardless of its fine jewellery provenance.
