Carthusia Intenso di Sandalo ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 17 June 2026 2 Comments

Italian niche brand Carthusia has launched Sandalo, a new addition to the Intenso collection.

Intenso di Sandalo is an intense and enveloping creation, transforming one of perfumery’s most iconic ingredients into an olfactory narrative that is elegant, refined and surprisingly modern.

The opening is vibrant and luminous. Sichuan Pepper delivers a sparkling, spicy freshness, a dynamic aromatic spark that runs through the composition with energy and character, introducing the fragrance with an immediately distinctive presence.

At its heart emerges the Mediterranean soul of the creation. Helichrysum, the wild flower that thrives under the sun and sea breeze of the Italian coastline, reveals golden and aromatic nuances, evoking sun-drenched landscapes and an authentic connection to nature. Its facets intertwine with unexpected touches of Licorice, adding depth, elegance and an intriguing contrast between sweetness and shadow.

In the base, the undisputed protagonist is Sandalwood. Smooth, creamy and enveloping, it unfolds in all its richness, creating an intense and long-lasting trail. Its warm, velvety character merges with the aromatic notes of the composition, achieving a refined balance between strength and softness.

Sandalo was developed by perfumer Giuseppe Imprezzabile aka Meo Fusciuni.

Carthusia Intenso di Sandalo is €145 for 50 ml.

This sounds good, and I found myself appreciating the prose. It’s distinctive, clear, and truly conveys information about the scent, rather than invoking vague dreamy images or using purple prose. Nice job, my compliments to the advertiser.
