Carthusia Intenso Collection ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 21 March 2025 Leave a Comment

Italian niche brand Carthusia has launched the Intenso collection, with three fragrances: Basilico, Ginestra and Mirto.

Three iconic raw materials, interpreted in a new way, telling stories of authenticity, nature, and that unmistakable elegance that sets Carthusia apart. Each perfume is an ode to the evocative power of nature, designed to surprise brand enthusiasts and captivate a new audience in search of unique and unforgettable experiences.

To bring Intenso to life, we renewed our prestigious collaboration with Italian Master Perfumer Luca Maffei, joined, for this special occasion, by the celebrated Parisian nose Antoine Lie. Together, these two talented artists have enhanced the purity and modernity of the ingredients, creating compositions of rare refinement and longevity.

Intenso di Basilico (above left) ~ "Intenso di Basilico transforms tradition into a contemporary olfactory experience, with a fresh, vibrant, and irresistibly modern composition. The opening is an explosion of energy: Bergamot and Mandarin bring a bright, citrusy touch, while Pink Pepper adds a lively, spicy note—an audacious accent that immediately captures attention. At the heart, the undisputed protagonist is Basil: fresh, green, and incredibly contemporary, it intertwines with the airy lightness of Tea Leaves and the floral delicacy of Jasmine. The base notes wrap the fragrance in a warm and sophisticated trail. Cashmeran, with its soft, woody texture, blends with the earthy depth of Patchouli and the elegant freshness of Vetiver, creating a finish that is both enveloping and dynamic, designed to leave a bold and unmistakable impression."

Intenso di Ginestra (above center) ~ "The fragrance opens with a burst of freshness: refined, luminous Neroli intertwines with sparkling Bergamot and vibrant Lemon Leaves. At the heart, the narrative deepens. Broom Flower Absolute takes center stage with its warm, enveloping essence. Alongside it, Jasmine adds a soft floral elegance, while Tuberose amplifies the sensuality of the composition. The base notes reveal the sweetness of Vanilla, blending with the creamy richness of Sandalwood and the velvety softness of Musk. Together, they create a trail that wraps around you, caresses the senses, and lingers—like the memory of a sunset slowly fading on the horizon."

Intenso di Mirto (above right) ~ "The top notes open with an unexpected, intriguing energy: aromatic, resinous Juniper Berries blend with the velvety warmth of Davana and the spicy freshness of Ginger. At the heart of the fragrance, Myrtle—an undisputed symbol of Mediterranean nature—finds a new voice through the delicate, romantic embrace of Rose and the golden touch of Osmanthus. The base notes reveal a captivating and well-structured trail. Soft, caressing Musk intertwines with the warm, woody nuances of Cedarwood and Patchouli, delivering a finish that seduces and lingers, leaving an unforgettable impression."

Carthusia Basilico, Ginestra and Mirto are €145 each for available in 50 ml.
