It's a teapotless Tuesday (Bond does not drink tea, sorry), plus National Paper Airplane Day and Miles Davis’ birthday. RIP Sonny Rollins. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in vintage Dior Eau Sauvage, a scent that would work for any Bond, in my opinion. I might just wear it all week.
Reminder: 5/29 will be Shaken Not Stirred Friday...for Ian Fleming's birthday (on Thursday the 28th), honor the James Bond character howsoever you like. You can repeat the theme of a 2008 poll (name your favorite James Bond actor (the choices, for anyone who can't remember the entire line-up: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig) and what fragrance you think their version of Bond would wear) or any of the questions from a 2018 followup we did for Sean Connery's birthday, you can scent your favorite Bond movie, you can take inspiration from a specific film (or book!) locale or character, whatever you like. Thanks go to Lovestosmellgood for the idea!
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2026, where I'll try (but usually fail) to have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
I can’t think of Bond today because it’s too hot. Yesterday topped out at 92F and was still in the 80’s after sunset. Today will be even worse. So even though I have fond memories of being dragged to the theater as a kid by my mother, who was a HUGE Bond fan her whole life life, read every book, saw every movie, I just can’t be bothered with him today. James has plenty of ladies and surely won’t miss me.
I’m in Bronze Goddess again. I’m cooked like a bad steak- well done, dried up, and charred. 🥵 Hope it’s more comfortable elsewhere.
