Christian Dior will launch Dioriviera, the latest addition to their upscale La Collection Privée Christian Dior fragrance series, next week. Dioriviera is the collections' first new perfume developed by house perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. The name Dioriviera has been used for the brand's summer capsule collections since 2020.*
"The inspiration for the Dioriviera scent came to me in Provence: the southern sun, May roses in bloom, the warm breeze through the leaves of a majestic fig tree, the only spectator by my side. Back in Paris, I began working from this idea to create my first fragrance for Dior. Dioriviera has the carefree beauty of modernity, with a solar scent that conveys the love story between Christian Dior and the French Riviera." — Francis Kurkdjian
CHARACTER: Created as a getaway, festive and hedonistic fragrance, Dioriviera incarnates a solar state of mind and an epicurean art of living.
FAMILY Floral fruity. Fig and rose: a solar and addictive duo, a dazzling and unmistakable olfactory shock. Dioriviera eau de parfum is an ingenious incarnation of the southern sun, May roses in bloom, and the warm breeze through the fig tree leaves.
Christian Dior Dioriviera will be available in 40, 125 or 250 ml Eau de Parfum.

*Or earlier, I am not entirely sure.
Honestly I’ll try it. It sounds lovely.
It does sound really nice. I admire FK but don’t always love his style, so we’ll see.
Sounds like something i would like to try, not sure about solar notes though!
Plus, I do think that’s a great name.
Sounds lovely – and I am into the smaller bottles on offer (40ml).
I read Kurkdjian expects a Dior fragrance he is making to be released fall 2023. I really hope so. While this Riviera one sounds nice, I’ve actually been wanting a new Dior perfume for a while that’s not in La Collection Privée. I had Poison, Dune, and J’adore when they were brand new perfumes before any reformulations and I am hoping for something new to come out that is just as memorable and iconic to me and in a beautiful bottle. But, I should probably set my expectations lower.
As an admirer of his creations(Le Male,my first love!!) I’d like to sniff this.
Oooh fig plus rose…I love each of those individually for summertime. Is there another fragrance that combined them? Because this may be hard to find and out of my budget.
I thought this was a disappointing first outing from Francis. It smells exactly (literally) like Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria Nerolia Vetiver, which isn’t fantastic to begin with but with Dior’s version costs multiple times more.
