The daily lemming

Posted by Robin on 27 February 2023 4 Comments

A lemming for fans of the dearly departed Rodin Olio Lusso line (with props to whomever mentioned this in the comments the other day): a limited edition Jo Malone + Rodin series, which apparently launched last summer. At the US Jo Malone site, you can currently find the Jasmine & Neroli Luxury Body Oil ("Envelop skin with this sumptuous body oil. Massage in to enjoy an uplifting, sensorial experience. Enriched with evening primrose and sweet almond oils that nurture, it smooths on to leave skin feeling velvety soft. Infused with an exquisite scent to inspire the senses and help cultivate feelings of calm"; $136 for 109 ml), plus Jasmine & Neroli Luxury Face Oil ($96 for 13 ml), Jasmine & Neroli Luxury Oil Gel Cleanser ($70 for 180 ml), Jasmine & Neroli Luxury Hand & Body Cream ($88 for 100 ml) and Luxury Face Cream (not shown; $95 for 50 ml). Yes, it's still spendy!

An odd collaboration considering Lauder owned both brands but jettisoned the Rodin line in 2021. Hmmmm….

I am guessing this was their way of pleasing the fans without having to maintain a separate brand structure.

I didn’t even realize that it had been discontinued! I bought the face oil once, and loved it, but didn’t repurchase because of the price. Heading over to the Jo Malone website now!

The perfume was great too but I would never have paid the price anyway.
