It’s the first Friday of 2023, plus Three Kings Day. RIP Fay Weldon. Our community project for today: wear a fragrance to match Viva Magenta, Pantone's color of the year for 2023.
Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration, writing a new narrative. [It] is powerful and empowering. It is a new animated red that revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression without restraint, an electrifying, and a boundaryless shade that is manifesting as a stand-out statement.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I'm taking points for the cherry cough syrup + raspberry macaron in Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Black Perfecto.
Reminder: 1/13 will be True Colors Friday. Tell us your favorite color, and wear a fragrance with that color in the name, or that reminds you of that color, or that has juice in that color, or ... ?
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2023, where I'll try (but obviously sometimes fail) to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
I won’t be alone in wearing SL La Fille de Berlin, which is not only a dark magenta in colour but also smells of dark, slightly scary roses, thorns and all, my favourite sort of rose.
The local Yves Rocher closed up shop on the 31st. I went there hoping to find some clearance bargains but they hadn’t marked anything down, not even the Christmas limited-edition things in any significant way. They were boxing it all up instead, to send back to corporate, presumably. I likely would have bought a couple of the newer scents (Cuir de Nuit and Sable Fauve) if the price had been right. RIP YR.
Fille de Berlin here, too. I love this scent, and I love the new limited edition bottle. This is a case of the colour of the scent matching the scent itself.
Too bad about the YR closing-I like their products, and I think the price is pretty good.
Hope everyone has a decent Friday, and I look forward to reading what everyone is wearing 🙂
I wish we had Yves Rocher out here. Instead the only place I ever see them is Germany. That’s annoying that they didn’t mark anything down, though.
Scary roses are my favorite, too. Joining in wearing La Fille de Berlin.
You all smell beautiful!
All the YR holiday stuff is on sale online, the only way I’ve ever been able to purchase. Since you seem to like many of the same scents I do, I highly recommend the Cuir de Nuit and Sable Fauve – my favorites of that line. I’ve bought them in the past when they were on sale.
Well, phooey on NO closing sale or bargains for YR! Is is completely gone in your area now?
Hello all!
🌹Rose Tonnere for me, which might be lacking a bit of fruitiness for true Magenta but I think it works. I’ve been using this bottle a surprising amount. Fabulous stuff.
I’m off to work but tonight I’m going to see a screening of the new Tilda Swinton movie, The Eternal Daughter. I’ve been looking forward to it but it didn’t get a theatrical release here!
Stay safe!
Jealous — I want to see that one. A local indie theatre is going to have it soon, though, I think. The problem is that they always play movies for just one or two nights, and they’re usually nights I can’t get away.
That happens to me all the time! Luckily I’m free tonight. I hope you get to see it soon.
Do report back on the movie!
I’m wearing Jacomo # 08 today. I confess I thought of it because of the magenta design on the cap and magenta letters, but I actually think it fits. It’s an upbeat and confident sort of scent with its combination of fruit and spice. Lots of cardamom and ginger, tea, milk, and honey. Like I said, it’s confident and not aggressive. It has a sense of fun to it. Might be a tad too sweet for my taste on many days, but it’ll work today.
Gorgeous bottle that definitely fits the bill.
I think magenta letters & cap is a perfect reason to pick it! No need to overthink a Friday project.
I’m with Pyramus in La Fille de Berlin, from the only full bottle of Lutens that I own.
A very good choice for your SL representative – I love it.
I’m in Mohur Extrait! The rose, the bottle and the box, all fit the CP. I’m claiming all kinds of points today. 😀
And you smell fabulous!
Thank you allo!
I think you could also claim points for your avatar!😀
I think I will. Thank you MTG!
I am very curious to try theextract! I have the EdP but don’t want to be redundant if they’re too similar.
Very much want to see The Eternal Daughter! I watched the official trailer and was, of course, enthralled by Tilda Swinton’ s performance.
Enjoy and report back if you don’t mind.
P.S. E-mail me if you’d like to try Mohur Extrait. I’m at arzeznik in the insufferable land of comcast which also has a dot and a net at the end.
You’re so sweet! Thank you! I’ll reach out later tonight (and let you know how it was!)
I’ve heard all sorts of wonderful things about Mohur in EdP and extrait.
I prefer the latter (although it’s been a while since I’ve smelled the former). Let me know if you want me to send you some. See above for my contact info.
Happy Friday all!
Chanel Egoiste for me. The sweet, stewed red fruit in this is spiced with cinnamon and sandalwood, and it conjures up a shade close to Viva Magenta.
I haven’t tried this scent, but I like your description. 🙂
I’m with everyone earlier this week who wore Lyric. I have finally opened the box for my new bottle, and I should be able to smell at least the rose part. (I can smell my rose soap, at least.)
Hooray for smelling!
2nd that, what a relief!
YES for being able to smell!
Scent twins! And great news on your returning sense of smell.
I’m claiming CP points in Lush Rose Jam. It’s maybe a bit more pink than a true magenta, but it certainly has the volume tuned to the same level.
It looks like this CP will shape up to be the battle of cherries and roses!
Rose Jam is a good one.
I think Rose Jam is perfect.
I gave some thought to Rose Jam today. It was definitely a contender.
Durga Poppy Rouge for me, which fits in name only, I think. But I love it, and it’s the only bottle for which I have a back up.
“Name only” is plenty!
Happy Magenta Friday!
I’m in SL Tubereuse Criminelle because the color could be considered magenta-ish (well enough to get CP points at least 😊) and I love it. Because of the opaque gratte ciel bottle, I didn’t fully appreciate the color until I decanted some to carry in my purse.
The Tubereuse Criminelle I saw at Barney’s (R.I.P.) was green!
My SL TC is also a dark, reddish brown.
Crazy! Wonder what’s up with that? Does it change color that much with age or did the color change with a reformulation? Hmmm….
That one is an amazing (and shocking) tuberose perfume!
My TC is gold, but either way, you smell fantastic!
I think I can take points with ELdO Eau de Protection.
FYI-I corresponded with Jeffrey Dame yesterday via email and he will have Cassis, Rose and Sandalwood again this summer. I know some of us thought it was discontinued. Also, in January (now) he is offering a new gardenia scent in small bottles.
I have the Gardenia in my cart right now. Lol.
Funny.
Glad to hear the Cassis Rose & Sandalwood is once again available. I ❤️ this one!
Oooh, I bet the gardenia fragrance will be lovely!
Thanks for the info on both Dame perfumes!
Did you ever try his Gardenia soliflore?
I did not. I have a few gardenia scents already so never tried that one.
Wearing SL Bapteme du Feu for the CP. The cinnamon, fruity, woody notes, and the juice color are a very nice match for Viva Magenta.
Happy Friday! 🌹
That is perfect. Yay!
Thank you!
Perfect color!
Indeed! 🌹
I thought Of that one too. Lovely scent! So interesting.
Btw, You smell wonderful!
Thank you, Allo!
Perfect!🌹🤗
🌹😊
Love this one. Just checked and Ebay is your friend on this one! I’ve (mostly) sworn off back up bottles, but the price is right for your first bottle. 🙂
It is an unusual and interesting perfume. My bottle is less than half and I may replace it once is finished. Ebay and FragranceNet are both “price friendly” on Bapteme.
This feels like a darker red, but I went with JM Velvet Rose and Oud.
That’s a good one too AnnieA.
Going along with Socks’ idea for CP points with Amouage Myths Woman. I love the ombre with magenta bottle, and the scent is warming to me. But given some of the reviews it has on Fragrantica, I’d say one does need some boldness to wear it! It was love at first sniff for me, carnation, ambergris, and some sweetness coming from some of the other notes. An elegant animalic floral – and with oakmoss. Robin, you smell wonderful in Black Perfecto. I think Guerlain created a great signature perfume with BP, for people who like a cheerful, lingering scent.
I just looked it up, and that bottle really is something!
That bottle is gorgeous.
Oooooh, a carnation Amouage?? Sounds fantastic!
Aw, you noticed my extremely late post, and now I’m late to the party again! Warms my heart 🙂
Hey perfume friends!
I’ve been lurking this week. Just trying to get back into the swing of things. I went back to work on Tuesday and I’m so thankful that 1. it was a short week, 2. I no longer have a position where I am on my feet for my whole shift and 3. I no longer work 12 hour shifts! I’ve been reaching for easy scents all week….Tam Dao, no 5 L’eau and Glossier You. I am feeling much better each day, just a little stuffy nose and slightly stiff neck are hanging on for symptoms. Luckily, (knock on wood!) no one else in my family has gotten it.
Today’s my day off and I had a dental cleaning this morning. I’m back in Glossier You and can’t even really smell it on myself, but about half way through my cleaning the hygienist says to me “random question, but what perfume are you wearing?” Me, with shocked face “you can smell it through your mask?!” Hygienist “yes, and you smell fabulous!” You guys, I never get perfume complements! It totally made my day, and helped to make a dentist appointment pleasant.😆
If only all dental appointments were like that. Glad you are feeling a bit better, hope your weekend goes well.
Ha, right? Thanks Kanuka!
Glad you are feeling better!
Thanks Kris!
Glad you are feeling better and Woo-hoo on the compliment!
Thanks lillyjo! Hoping we will get some sun this weekend! I don’t know about you, but we have not seen the sun since Christmas Eve.☹️ It’s really starting to bum me out.
I think in December we had something like 2% possible sunshine.
I think I might see some next week.
Congrats on the perfume compliment! 👏 and wishing you continued improvement in both feeling better each day and job ease each day!
Thanks Laila!
I’m glad you’re feeling better, and so happy to hear you got a compliment. You smell great!
I started burning a glossier candle today (the orange blossom one) and it’s really awesome. Kicking myself that I didn’t grab the you scented candle at the same time.
Thanks sistine!
Ooh, I bet that candle is great.
Perfume compliments always send me over the Moon!
Me too!🤩
Hooray for a perfume compliment and feeling better!
It’s feels so good to be feeling “good” again!
Glad you are getting better. Perfume compliments are the best!
Thanks LizzieB! They are!😀
SOTD = Tom Ford Lost Cherry
CP-compliant!
Thanks for your comments on repurposing wide-mouth candle jars!
I’ve always lamented the fact that I expect all banks to be within a short 10-15 minute drive from my house. One such bank is PNC Bank where I was last at in late 2019 or early 2020 … going through highways and underpasses etc etc even though technically it is not far. Now that interest rates on CDs are quite good, I am not satisfied with nor should I be on getting barely $1 per month on a balance that could buy a decent new car in cash. Anyway, I finally found one on my way home on Tuesday right on Madison Ave. – of course I passed this 99.9% of the time but just never thought to register it on my brain. Anyway, I went today to close my accounts and will be ready to convert them to CDs at another bank. At this time, I wouldn’t accept anything lower than 4% (APR is lower due to how the accrual works).
I have two more banks to deal with but hopefully they will go smoothly and I can convert there, assuming of course that the interest rates ate favorable.
Not sure if you have a financial consultant/planner, but they can also find you good rates on CDs. In fact, ours found us a good rate from a bank we go to, however if you would walk into our bank, they can’t give it to you. How crazy is that??? Pretty bad when the broker can get it for you, but the employees at the bank can’t.
I know it sounds stupid as a consumer, but as someone who’s worked in financial services for a long time, it doesn’t surprise me. Advisors are a different channel and the pricing is different. A bank’s retail pricing for individuals will generally be somewhere around mid-market, looking at what their competitors are offering individuals (unless there’s some reason they really want money in that vehicle or don’t). Advisors will be looking for higher returns on investment vehicles, and so the bank prices competitively for that channel, but what’s “competitive” is different.
All these – 👍
No. I have been managing my own finances but one never knows. My relationship bankers keep asking me if I want to have one and the one time I did (to test him out), my investment has not grown much over the past 6 years.
My husband was a financial consultant for years. When he retired, we decided to go to a man he used to work with that went with a different brokerage firm. We have been very happy with him. My husband wanted me to be comfortable with our lawyer, accountant and financial advisor in case something happened to him. It has taken alot of the worry out of things for me.
Well you convinced me to start looking into cds for my son. He just has a regular savings account right now.
As long as he doesn’t need the funds in the next 13 months, he’s good to go!
Thank you, H, for this alert. Again, I say, every little bit helps.
It does! I really should have moved them last year but I think the rate has steadily gone up!
U.S. savings accounts are priced insanely low, I find (I have a U.S. account that’s paying me 0.01% right now…while the going rate in Canada is 1.5% on a savings account). So yeah, CDs make a lot of sense in this market!
Tell me about it. I wouldn’t cry over my one main checking account as the balance fluctuates quite a bit but the savings – ugh. It almost doesn’t pay to keep a balance in savings.
Yeah. My U.S. bank will pay me more — all of 0.9% — if I keep $1mm in savings. Honestly? If I had $1mm in loose cash, why would it be in a savings account?
I’ve been getting notices from one of the credit unions I belong to about CDs. Now you mention something. Maybe the Universe is trying to give me a hint?
Maybe! Good deals all around!
I went with Lost Alice today. Both just because I felt like it, and for the CP…but not for the colour but because I think it ‘revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression without restraint, an electrifying, and a boundaryless [scent] that is manifesting as a stand-out statement’
Good reason to wear it,
You smell great, I love that one.
What a happy-sound perfume…
So, I am thinking of the character Magenta from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, the maid with the amazing hair. Not to be messed with. My perfume choices are a bit limited in the cool domestic department so I’m going with Lush Lust, spray it on and watch the drama unfold.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show – still one of my favourite movies!
Perfect!
Yes to all of this!!
I just recently rewatched Rocky Horror!
Perfection!
Nice take on the CP, Kanuka!
Love this idea for the GP!
I found myself idly wondering what perfume Magenta the Maid would wear earlier this week. Never came up with an answer.
Love it!
Currently in Lost Cherry today. Was up really early for a doctor’s appointment and now at work.
Great choice!
We’re twins today!
Commando today. Just dropped in to wish everybody a happy and prosperous New Year. And my wish for lily-jo: a short winter!
Aww thanks!
I wish you a Happy New Year!🌞
Always glad to see you!
Happy New Year to you too!
Happy new year to you!
Happy New Year Amyitis! Hope that everything is going well for you so far in 2023.
Happy 2023 Amyitis!
Happy New Year to you too, Amyitis!
Wafting up a storm in Bois de Paradis here, which I’d say is about as potently magenta in character as it gets.
Nice call, always glad to see PdR 🙂
I can still smell the last traces of last night’s Fille en Aiguilles. It’s not magenta in colour or smell, but it’s in the ballpark.
I love this scent so much-you smell great !
My pick is April Aromatics Wild Summer crush, with notes of grapefruit, mandarin, yuzu, and other citruses – blood orange, perhaps? – plus Uhuru Rose Otto. All of these bring intense shades of pink, including magenta, to mind. I like grapefruit and blood orange now and then but I do love Cara Cara Oranges and I would like to alert everyone that they are in season right now in US and you owe it to yourself to try them, it you can find them in store. They have beautiful dark pink flesh and unique flavor that’s like a sweet orange with hints of blackberry, raspberry, and rose.
Makes me want to look for them! 😋
Oh, many thanks for the heads up on the Cara Cara oranges! They are delicious!! 😋🍊
Your perfume sounds great! Love the name of that rose. Makes me think of Lt. Uhuru in the episode where she got to sing. What a sultry singing voice.
I’m with you on cara cara orange love. Tasted them for the first time last season, yum. 👍🏻 🍊😋 Thanks for the PSA!
Happy Friday!!
SOTD!
Givenchy Ysatis, from my vintage bottle. If you squint the color of the packaging could be magenta, but to me it’s more about the description of the color above that ties in with Ysatis.
It’s a joyful exhuberant perfume, and some might say a real challenging experiment for a guy to wear an 80’s powerhouse perfume that was marketed at mostly women.
Love these big bouquets from that time!
My other choice would have been La Fille du Berlin of course.
XO’s!🌹🤗
I wore Ysatis back when it was launched, great scent!
Still is!I can imagine you rocked Ysatis!😉🌹
I remember Ysatis-was years later till I found out I was pronouncing it wrong 🙂 You smell great!
Thanks Carole!
Not sure I’m even pronouncing it correctly either!Haha!
Ysatis fan here! It was my first grown-up perfume when I was 18! ( about 6 years ago 😉)
Haha!
Well,it really is perfumey!😉🌹🤗
I love Ysatis too. Honestly, I can see how it would be surprising as a man’s fragrance, but setting aside the marketing, it just smells wonderful for all!
I’ve long ignored the precribed “for men” or “for women” and have been wearing whatever I want!
I’m thinking Byzance today, have not worn THAT epicness in a while.
I’m wearing Fils de Joie this morning for the color of the juice. It almost perfectly matches the color of the year if you hold the bottle up to a light. Plus, I love the scent.
Great pick!
I am wearing SL Chypre Rouge .
Taking advantage of these couple of days before starting to work next week.
Cooking, reading and relaxing at home.
Pretty much my plans for the weekend too!

Happy Friday ya’ll
Happy Friday ltsg!
I was going to wear Lost Cherry, but last night my samples of the new Guerlain Jasmin Bonheur showed up. So I sprayed myself with the whole 2ml sample this morning to get a really good picture of it.
It is very perfumey, not a fresh jasmine, with no indoles. I definitely smell the rose, lots of bergamot and a bit of iris. In feel (not scent) I would say it is closest to Rose Barbare or Cruel Gardenia. It is being compared to Misia, Après l’Ondée and Insolence on fragrantica but honestly I don’t get that at all, there is no violet and not much iris on me.
You smell awesome. I still have not sniffed Lost Cherry, and now there are two flankers. I’d like to try Bitter Peach, too.
You smell good. This sounds something I should try.
Do you love it ? Is it full bottle worthy?
It is definitely a spring perfume and I think I will enjoy it in that season, layered with my Korres Jasmine body cream. It hasn’t dethroned all my other favorite jasmines, but I do plan to buy a bottle. There is a limited edition Matisse decorated box and special cap that will be released first, that’s the one I reserved at Bergdorf Goodman.
Perfumey you say? Sounds good to me.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Jasmin Bonheur!
Partial points for me wearing Le Cri today. It has notes of raspberry and rose but is really more an aldehydic musky thing on me.
Have a great weekend!
You smell great, I love Le Cri.
I like Le Cri as well. You smell very nice.
For today’s cp, when I looked at the color itself, my immediate response was ‘raspberry,’ not rose nor red. And to me, as a seasonal fragrance wearer, ‘winter’ + ‘raspberry’ = Givenchy’s original Hot Couture, and that is my SOTD. It is just as warm and comforting yet sensual and sexy as I found it to be when it debuted. Although I do like the color Viva Magenta and I do wear this color sometimes, I don’t think the written description fits this scent; to me it describes a true, clear, vibrant ‘red’ fragrance and that is not what this one is.
No special plans for the weekend, just pizza tonight and putting away some of the holiday decorations this weekend – at least half of them are ‘winter’ decorations so they will stay up til Valentine’s Day. Weatherwise, while I’m grateful to not be living in California or Buffalo, our news is reporting that despite our mild temps we’ve had only 90 minutes of 🌞thus far in 2023 but are promising some this weekend. Boy, do I ever need it!🤞
May the ☀️ shine on all NST’ers this weekend!
Pizza twins!
Enjoy a laid back and hopefully sunny weekend Laila!
I skipped the CP because I just can’t associate smell and color. My hand reached for Santal Massoia. Can’t argue with the hand!
It’s our wedding anniversary today. Tonight we’re having a mellow night of pizza and wine, and tomorrow we’re going to the art museum and a very fancy dinner. I’m not sure I remember how to do date night makeup!
Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary, Sistine! 🥂
Happy anniversary!
Happy anniversary! Enjoy both the pizza and the fancy dinner. 🙂
The Hand is Always Right
Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary, sistine! And yes, you can’t argue with the hand.
Have a really wonderful day and happy anniversary
Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your double celebration 🥂!
Joining others in wishing you a very happy anniversary!
Happy Anniversary, sistine!
A very happy anniversary, Sistine!
Happy anniversary! You smell wonderful.
That sounds like a perfect anniversary weekend, enjoy!
Happy Anniversary!🥂
In my fragrance/color synesthesia, La Fille de Berlin works well for the CP. I wore that yesterday and planned to wear Lyric today even though that one is more red with a bit of gold (in my version of synesthesia). But anyhoo, after all that, I went with Stella!
Oh, I love Stella. Have not worn that for years.
The almost record breaking warm temperatures have moved on from my location. The temps are now back at a seasonal average. No more running around without a coat or jacket for me!
SOTD = Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme. I always think of Lucasai whenever I wear this one. I sniffed Samsara, and that one wasn’t the right color, even though it smelled fantastic. I couldn’t find either of my samples of La Fille de Berlin but came across Rose Anonyme during my search. One little whiff was all it took to convince me that YES! We have a winner and a color/perfume match! 🌹🌹🌹
I always think of lucasai too.
Perfect! I was tempted as well!
The cold was a bit of a shock for our after dinner walk tonight! Brrr.
More rain, but the temps are above 50 so quite comfortable other than that.
I’m in Une Rose de Kandahar from my lovely big cobalt pentagonal bottle. Such lovely stuff, not really magenta to me, but as previously mentioned, more of a deep beet, cranberry, raspberry damask colored scent. For some reason I always picture a medieval dress a la John Williams Waterhouse’s Jason and Medea, as well as many other examples of dresses painted by the pre-Raphaelites. I think I’m just a frustrated romantic at heart.
Happy FriYAY! 😃
Speaking of FriYAy! I have been thinking of JadainGA. Hope she is well.
That rain is something else! Stay dry!
She is back on IG with her SOTD, started January first! Good to see here there! Whenever I FriYAY, I always think of her. 😀
Commando for no good reason. Kept meaning to put on Borneo 1834 but was so focused on an unprecedented desire to organize my home office that the fragrance never happened. But there was much shredding.
Wanted to post a link to an essay on the new Pantone magenta by Kate Davies, one of my favorite knitwear designers and a historian. Apologies if it’s already been shared here.
https://kddandco.com/2023/01/06/magenta-matters/
Shredding is a very under rated sport! 😀
Great essay! Thank you for posting, skalolazka.
You are welcome! Kate is a terrific scholar and writer; if you are interested in textile history and knitwear design, her blog and books are a treat.
I already wore Lost Cherry on Monday because I had a craving after seeing that TF is releasing two more cherry perfumes. So today I opted for DSH Eau Cerise to still cover the cherry bases. Thanks to another NSTer for mentioning it earlier in the week thus reminding me about it!
On an unrelated note, I’m curious what you thought of your new Stroopwaffel fragrance?
I like Stroopwaffel, but I don’t love it, at least not yet. It’s less overtly gourmand than I was expecting and more perfumey gourmand. It smells very nice though, but so far the two times I’ve worn it have been during busy days where I can’t pay much attention to it. I’ll wear it again soon on a work from home day when I’ll remember to really sniff it and gather my thoughts better.
Thanks!
Well, I chose to indulge in a bit of fantasy for the CP. I’m imagining myself in a black velvet sheath gown (and imagining that I have the physique to pull that off, which I emphatically do not), accessorized with a deep magenta feather boa, elbow-length magenta kid gloves, and magenta silk stiletto heels, and I’m holding a raspberry martini in one begloved hand and a magenta silk fan in the other. My scent? Cuir de Russie, of course.
Well, you look AND smell fabulous! Magenta gloves sound divine. (I am now imagining a pair for myself!)
They do sound wonderful, don’t they? 🙂
Love it! 🩷
Excellent! I think this might win the cp.
Ooh, my first win! I was channeling Angie though, so she gets partial credit. 🙂
Magenta reminds me of the 80’s.
This morning I put on a dab of LouLou. I thought it was a pretty good match. After it wore off I decided to switch to Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid. I would say the bottle is magenta.
After working tonight I will have the weekend off. I need the rest because next week is the dreaded INVENTORY! Yes… again. Lol.
Happy Weekend everyone!
Oy vey, again! Have a restful weekend!
Dang! That inventory seems to roll around about every 6 weeks! I HATED it when I was in retail. Absolutely HATED it! I hope it goes fast for you! 👍🏼
This reminded me of a job I had when I was barely 21, working for a beer and wine distributorship. Once a month we had to do after-hours inventory, and the warehouse manager usually plied me with a small dixiecupful of something like cold duck, which was a kind of wine sweet enough to go down really easily for 21-year-old me. Ahh, good times.
The Inventory Strikes Back… yuck! What a pain.
Taurerville Rose Flash over here. Definitely qualifies as self expression without restraint. One spray last at least a full day. I was considering it for last week’s Jane Austen theme for Lydia Bennett, the epitome of romantic self expression without restraint!
RF is fabulous, tho I am biased toward all things Tauer. You smell great.
Nice!
sotd = Myrrh Eglantine
not really a magenta scent, but roses seem to me a best choice (of many best possibilities) for a fun Friday playing with perfume.
I tossed the stash of bottles and samples, looked for something else, but ME grasped at my fickle heart. Thank you, NSTers and Robin, for the scented adventures. 🙂
Plus you do smell great tiffanie!
La Baie des Anges for the project today–the rhubarb and grapefruit give off magenta vibes to me
Perfect. I wish I had more rhubarb fragrances.
Late to the game today…. I wore Kenzo Amour from the magenta bottle, so I think that works. I rarely wear it, but it’s a nice scent.
Oh good call!
that’s a beautiful bottle! 🙂
