Next year, Amouage will launch Odyssey Collection Chapter III Escape, with four unisex fragrances: Guidance, Lineage, Purpose and Search.
Four new perfumes are joining our esteemed Odyssey Collection, in a new third chapter, titled “Escape”, inspired by faraway lands of Oman and the mystic aroma of Frankincense, revealing hidden and unexplored facets of the precious treasure of the Sultanate.
Guidance ~ "The delicate strength of femininity. A spellbinding and novel interpretation of the Amouage triad of Rose, Frankincense and Ambergris, Guidance reads like a poem, smells like an embrace, and feels like a word of wisdom." Developed by perfumer Quentin Bisch, with additional notes of pear, hazelnut, saffron, jasmine, osmanthus, cistus, sandalwood, akigalawood and vanilla.
Lineage ~ "The mineral shores of Masirah. A song of salty incense, of mineral warmth and summer meditations, Lineage is the scent of traveling far from home to get closer to yourself." Developed by perfumer Karine Vinchon-Spehner, with additional notes of ginger, Sichuan pepper, pink pepper, saffron, fenugreek, myrrh, vetiver, patchouli, benzoin and labdanum.
Purpose ~ "Shamanic Awakening. A vertical totem of mineral woods and stellar sparks of spice, Purpose is a shamanic awakening, the scent of feeling at peace, of finding your roots, of being complete." Developed by perfumer Quentin Bisch, with notes of bergamot, pink pepper, frankincense, pimento berry, rose, sand vetiver, sandalwood, papyrus, saffron, suede, mystikal and akigalawood.
Search ~ "Citruses within Burning Woods. A tale of trying and reaching, of life overcoming shade, Search captures the virile energy of resilient minds unafraid to fight their inner darkness to become their ideal self. Developed by perfumer Alexis Grugeon, with notes of lemon, lime, mandarin, frankincense, black pepper, elemi, cade, vetiver and guaiacwood.
Amouage Guidance, Lineage, Purpose and Search will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I want to be excited but I’m not. I used to DIE for news of a new Amouage, but their most recent releases made me so sad. It’s hard not to hope, though.
I have not been excited since Jubilation, which is so old it’s hardly the same brand 🙂
These sound a bit odd, but I’ll sniff them out of curiosity.
The names sound odd, or the descriptions?
(I am personally really put off by the names.)
Both actually.
