Hermès will introduce Violette Volynka, a new fragrance in the brand's luxury Hermessence line, in September.
Violette Volynka was developed by Hermès house perfumer Christine Nagel, and combines violet from Tourrettes-sur-Loup (in the Alpes-Maritimes department of France) with a Volynka leather note.
The Violette Volynka Eau de Toilette from the Hermessence collection is an elegant, unexpected encounter: between masculine and feminine, between two unique materials which mirror each other like two alter egos. "I opted for Volynka leather top notes. Its scent is so strong that I wanted to pull it in the opposite direction by pairing it with a delicate flower: violets." Christine Nagel, Hermès perfumer.
Hermès Violette Volynka will be available in 100 (€245) and 200 ml Eau de Toilette (and probably the 15 ml size as well).

Ooh, sounds lovely!
Oh I agree. Violets and leather, yes please.
Yes. And I liked her last group of Hermessences.
Leather and violets. Perfect for autumn.
Yep!
Man I really want to try this.
🙂
Sounds like name of a high level spy at the height of the Cold War. Perfume sounds nice, too! Currently hanging outdoors because of a fire alarm. *Le sigh*
Ha, it does! Sorry about the fire alarm, hope it is over by now.
Agree. Sounds like a Bond film female lead. 🙂
Ooooh..sounds sniff worthy. I am flip flop when it comes to the leather violet combo. The Mona one was nice from what I can remember
Could be a winner! I’m more a fan of Christine Nagel than I ever was of JCE. (ducks!)
Well…sounds like I need to make my way over to an Hermes again, doesn’t it?
I have not been THIS excited about an Hermes!
Definitely on the want to sniff list. I was looking for a 4th when I got my new to me Hermessence last week. I ended up with a bub of Santal Massoïa since the Cedre Sambac didn’t appeal to me.
On the plus side, Myrrh eglantine layers nicely with Santal Massoïa…
