Eris Parfums Scorpio Rising ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 1 February 2022 15 Comments

Indie brand Eris Parfums has launched Scorpio Rising, a new fragrance.

Say the word « Scorpio, » the astrological sign for those born between October 23 and November 22, represented by the scorpion, and a reaction of fear or at least awe usually follows in response. In keeping with its boldly beautiful fragrances, Eris Parfums’ SCORPIO RISING pays homage to the passion, mystery, and power of Scorpio by featuring an overdose of spices on a smoldering, ambery base of woods, incense, smoke, and leather. Like the astrological sign it's inspired by, SCORPIO RISING is beautiful but dangerous, magnetic but formidable. And very, very addictive. Are you ready to play with fire?

“SCORPIO RISING, with its overdosed cocktail of spices, is a dangerous, spellbinding beauty that will envelop you in its glowing, magnetic sensuality.” —Antoine Lie, Perfumer

The notes include pink and black pepper, clove, cinnamon, cardamom, immortelle, incense, cypriol, Atlas cedar, guaiac, saffron, sandalwood, ambroxan, cashmeran, vetiver and leather.

Eris Parfums Scorpio Rising is available in 50 ml Extrait de Parfum, $180.

I AM a Scorpio! This is just screaming my name. Maybe that’s why I’m drawn to spice, Amber, Oud, leather, wood characteristics. I’m not a floral gal. I can appreciate them, but they’re not my first choice.
I want a sample of this very much.

Well crap, I went to order a sample. $15 but applied towards a full bottle later. That’s an expensive sample but if you like it a nice deal. BUT, they’re charging $10 shipping? For a tiny piece of cardboard with a teeny spray sample! That’s ridiculous.
Sorry, I’d love to try this but I refuse to encourage gouging for shipping. I’ve sent plenty of samples out to others, bubble wrap, a small padded mailer, it’s never been more then a couple of dollars.

Oh dear, so $25, that’s too bad. Looks like you do get the shipping back too if you buy a bottle, but if you don’t, that’s a lot.

Maybe order a sample from Luckyscent instead?

My bottle just arrived! I will open it tomorrow. Perhaps a candidate for a split although it would only make sense to do a minimum of 5mL each.

I would probably do a split for 5ml. It sounds wonderful.

As a Scorpio, I’d be very interested, too. (But am I ready to play with fire? ???)

Scorpio is a water sign, so those flames in the image make me giggle ? Too bad about the sample price, my son is a scorp and I would have tried it if they charged a fair market rate.

I just ordered a sample from Luckyscent for $4. Several different samples for a $4 shipping, a much more reasonable price.

I pre-ordered for my birthday and though I really enjoy it, it’s much less fiery than I expected. Very sandalwood incense with lots of spices up top.

Real flowers are one of the joys of my life, but for some reason I can’t do floral perfumes. But this? Oh yes. Sounds wonderful. Thanks for telling us about all of these new and exciting fragrances.
