Shiseido Ginza Murasaki ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 25 January 2022 9 Comments

Shiseido has launched Ginza Eau de Parfum Murasaki, a new fragrance for women. Ginza Murasaki is a flanker to 2021's Ginza.

The delicious trail of a purple carpet of violets under a magnificent tree.

Notes for the woody fruity floral include Fuji apple, pomegranate, violet, jasmine, wisteria, freesia, sandalwood and cashmeran.

Shiseido Ginza Murasaki is available in 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum.

Isn’t it a lilac flower behind the bottle?
    Looks like to me
Would be lovely with a true lilac perfume but they are hard to come around.
I like the notes of this, minus the apple ?

      I’m thinking it’s wisteria?

        Ah that makes sense
Just looks like a lilac to me-sorry ?

The bottle reminds me of a pink version of Lubin Idole. A little wider, but that cap seems dead on.

So the original Idole cap was an elongated mask, with the “chin” part angling in front of the bottle. Similar shape to this, but in this case the bottom black part is inside the bottle and the top part (the cap) is a separate piece.

Sorry if I am restating the obvious, hard to tell if it is clear or not.

Ahh, I see it now. I thought the elongated chin was on the back, not inside.

Hmm, it sounds like it might smell very nice, unless they have made it so “subtle” that it barely smells like anything at all…I loved the original Zen, but more recent efforts by this house have left me wanting more, you know?

Original Zen was good! In all truth I have not tried anything by Shiseido since then, unless I’m forgetting something.

I admit my ears perked up at the mention of Murasaki, but after reading the notes, I’m afraid this will not work for me…
