Diptyque's holiday collection for 2021 is out. We start with "...a trio of limited edition scented candles with gold-coloured lids, decorations in actual gold paint and colours that call to mind malachite, lapis lazuli and cornelian. Each of the three scents is a unique interpretation of a winter classic, and hence the ideal accompaniment for the holiday season: Flocon, an olfactory transcription of snowfall, with light, velvety notes of white musks blended with those of mimosa, a winter flower; Biscuit, with the spicy flavours of festive end-of-year desserts enhanced by the density of patchouli; and Sapin [see close up below], the fragrant freshness of mountain pines intensified by the woody notes of an open fire." The 190g candle with gold lid is $78; the 70g votive is $42 (or a boxed set of 3 is $126).
Also available this year, a home fragrance diffuser (shown at top, $190), the giant 1500g Ambre indoor / outdoor candle (shown top right, $370), a 600g Feu de Bois / Wood Fire candle (not shown, $195), and carousels in two sizes (the large with a 190g Baies candle is $128; the small comes with Feu de Bois and Ambre in a 70g, $134). Scented tapers in Baies, Ambre or Feu de Bois are $25 each. There is also a rotating lantern ($85, it does NOT come with a candle)...
...and of course the Advent Calendar ($425).

I adore Diptyque’s holiday candles!
I love them too. These are really pretty but far from the best they’ve ever done (or at least, far from the most tempting to me personally).
The best ones was late 00/early 2010’s.
The last few years I skipped, because I hated the print design. Call be superficial, but I like be candles to be pretty while smell lovely đ
This year, I like the design and the scents is great. I skip Sapin tho. I never been into pine candles. I like pine in nature but in candles they give me a splitting headache.
I agree, late 00/2010 were fabulous! Pine in very small doses is all right, but it can quickly become to muchy/much.
Sapin makes my plastic tree smell real, I have used the home spray for a few years for that purpose. The wood fire candle is terrific, but as a Californian I now find the smell to triggering to enjoy.
I am not a Californian anymore, but woodsmoke candles in general freak me out at least once while burning…ack, my house is on fire, oh, right.
Fortunately, years of wholesome and happy interactions with burning forests has made both woodsmoke and recently-charred-landscape deeply happy scents for me, in spite of all the evacuation drama. I’m so grateful for this olfactory armor, given how often we smell smoke around here!
I like Thymes Fraser Fir better. A much better price point. But Biscuit is in my cart as I type ?
I got Flocon and Biscuit today
Flocon is like a lighter version of the Mimosa candle with some musc. Charming.
Biscuit smells like, you guessed it, biscuits..very lovely.
Biscuit does sound tempting.
âDecorations in actual gold paintâ – Is gold paint now a luxury selling feature ?!
The carousel adornment made my little lemming run all around in his cage. I had to calm him, because the website says you only get your choice of candles in-store. Online the three offered are scents I was less interested in. But gosh that is attractive. If it does not sell out….
