Diptyque holiday candles 2018

Posted by Robin on 20 October 2018 7 Comments

Diptyque has introduced their Holiday 2018 candle collection, Légende du Nord, decorated by Pierre Marie.

...a winter collection that awakens the spirits of an imaginary folklore. The scented candles take on magical powers, each representing one of the spirits from the legend.

Amande Exquise (above left; red) ~ "A new scent for the winter season, Amande Exquise by Diptyque is inspired by the bell of the bear spirit. Spreading delicious aromas of almond and tonka bean, it is the perfect gift for any fragrance lover this festive season."

Sapin De Lumière (above center; green) ~ "Inspired by a stag appearing in the twilight forest, the Sapin De Lumière candle by Diptyque is new for the winter season. From the light an enveloping scent of fir trees comes to life, warmed by the delicate, neighbouring cedars." Sapin De Lumière is also available in a 150 ml room spray.

Baume D'Ambre (above right; blue) ~ "Inspired by the rising winds, bringing with it the song of the mermaid and the perfume of her pearly hair, Diptyque's Baume D'Ambre strikes a gracious accord between vanilla and benzoin resin, enhanced by the freshness of lavender. "

The Diptyque Amande Exquise, Sapin De Lumière and Baume D'Ambre candles are available in 70g mini (burn time 30 hours) or 190g (burn time 60 hours). There are also coffrets in both sizes, and a set with the Sapin De Lumière candle and room spray. All can be found now at Harrods in the UK.

YES! But will we get them in the U.S.? I can’t really afford it, but want.

Yes, we always do! They will be on the Diptyque website and at the stores that carry Diptyque.

Last year the large candles were $70 each.

They do, usually, become available in the US, at Diptyque stores, Neiman Marcus, Beautyhabit, Aedes, Luckyscent and others, none of which I am affiliated with, by the way. ????
I have found the Sapin (fir) one to be very similar from one season to another and it has been a perennial favorite for me, but the other ones have been hit or miss.

And I saw them in person last year at Saks!
