It's Tuesday and French Fries Day. A very happy 81st birthday to Sir Patrick Stewart! What fragrance are you wearing?
I spent much of yesterday in bed, and am feeling great today. I'm in a tiny, weather-appropriate dab of Andrea Maack Coal, but I'm guessing I'll be in something light and citrus-y before the day is out. (Providence Perfume Co Tangerine Thyme is queued up on my desk.)
Reminder: 7/16 will be Nordic Friday...wear a fragrance inspired by, or made by a brand from, one of the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden).
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the Royal Copenhagen Mega Rose teapot ("In an inspired collaboration between Blue Fluted Mega-designer, Karen Kjældgård-Larsen, and visual artist, Mette Hannemann, the limited-edition collection Mega Rose pays tribute to Blue Fluted Mega in airbrushed hues and blooming roses") appears to be sold out in the US. You can find it at Magasin in Denmark for 1.399 kr.
Tea today is Rose Himalaya from Mariage Freres. My oldest sniffed my tea tins this morning and said this was her favorite of the bunch.
Ortigia Sicilia : Ambra Nera
Notes: spice wood, labdanum, oak musk, galbanum and amber resin
I think you must smell great, LTSG!
Never tried this but the bottle is lovely, must investigate further.
I got a chance to experience this one thanks to hajusuuri.
Curious to know if anyone else has tried anything from this line?
The bottles are beautiful and so are their Kaftans -dont look!
I just googled those bottles and the brand and oh my goodness: tres beautiful!!
Yes, everything is beautiful
Wow, that sounds like a beautiful fragrance!
Have this in the candle format, and will break it out come winter. Once it’s gone I’ll still be keeping the glass jar *and* the box. Alas that I will never have the matching caftan, or caftan lifestyle…
Ortigia, I adore their bath oils! I just used Geranium last night. I really should explore their perfumes. And the bath oil bottles are lovely too, heavy and nice designs.
SOTD is a spray of Vanilla Banana, it’s a hot day.
I only have this in the bath oil- but I know that you smell glorious! In summer heat this would be intoxicating!
How is everyone in the “know” and I am just finding out about this line..and its Italian..mama mia
The bath oil is pure luxury in the winter- it scents the entire floor!
Have told this before: researching whether I could get more Ambra Nera shampoo based on a sample encountered whilst traveling caused my fall down the rabbit hole. I do have the perfume now and it is spicy amber wonderfulness. Joining you with Ambra Nera as SotD.
We smell good twin
Today it’s a sample of Penhaligon’s Endymion, a fairly standard lavender fougère. Unobjectionable, that’s all I have to say about it.
Better than objectionable, I guess! Hope the day is better than the fragrance.
Hmmm, faint praise indeed.
I am wearing Roger & Gallet’s Tubereuse Hédonie. A summer appropriate tuberose cologne/tea type of a scent. Refreshing yet satisfying.
Currently drinking strawberry rhubarb iced tea!
That iced tea sounds nice! I am drinking some iced Jiaogulan at the moment.
Please pass me a glass of this tea, this sounds good!
That tea sounds good!
Who makes your strawberry rhubarb tea?
Scandi week is going to be entirely from my sample stash. Today is 19-69 Chinese Tobacco, another Swedish brand. It’s an airy tobacco with a twist of ginger. I’m quite pleased with it!
This sounds really nice!
I’m wearing Nicolai Vetyver.
Ahh, that’s a nice vetiver. You smell great!
I’m in Iris Dragees again today. I wanted to wear something soft and lovely as my hubby and I are off to get the 2nd shot in a couple hours.
Good luck! I hope you don’t have any side effects.
Thanks sistine! I’m so thankful to have it done!
Yes. Sharing the hope for no side effects.
Thanks Lizzie! It’s a relief to have it done.
Woohoo! Congrats on getting your second jab.
Whoo hoo for that second shot! I hope that your side effects (if any) are mild.
Thanks Jalapeno! I’m also hoping for mild, if any!
Good luck with your second shot!
Thanks Kelly; very grateful for it! And looking forward to travelling hopefully soon!
30*C are back in Poznań so I’m wearing Mandarino from Laboratorio Olfattivo today. Nicely refreshing, a bit more bitter than sweet
Enjoy the ☀️ weather
Lucky you, we still have rain and more rain.. Enjoy the weather
Yup here in The Netherlands as well…. Rain… But also very muggy. Humidity is quite high here these days.
Morning all! My SOTD is Narciso Rodriguez Musc for Her Oil Parfum by Narciso Rodriguez. Something fuzzy and cozy.
I’m very slow in waking up today, three cups of coffee and still dragging my heels.
I’m loving everyone’s tea, strawberry rhubarb sounds so delicious!
I was with you on the slow start today! I hope you eventually felt awake and ready to take on the day!
Tomorrow I will try out another one of those videos after my walk in Central Park
Also on Team Slow to Wake today. Blurrrgh.
Testing Goldfield & Banks Silky Woods today. So far a lot of silky woods. In a good way. The silkiness makes me feel quite delicious.
From IG – “MrCologne” code gets you the bottle plus 2 7.5mL travel sprays (Bohemian Lime and Pacific Rock Moss) good until July 17.
I don’t always agree with him but some codes are quite good and this was the first one I’ve seen.
thanks hajusuuri. I have worn for 8 hours now and its just powdery residue.
Saved myself a lot of clams.
I sought out a sample of that one and quite liked it but found it similar to Absolute Aphrodisiac with the latter being a bit more feminine w/ more vanilla.
I’m wearing She Was an Anomaly for a day of errands and chores. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
Oh, I like that one! I have the smallest size and keep it in my nightstand sometimes for bedtime, but it’s nice anytime. You smell great today.
I’m in the very lovely L de Lubin this morning – many thanks to Vee who included it in our recent swap along with a couple of other Lubins that I’ve also fallen for. L reminds me a bit of 24 Faubourg, but it’s lighter and possibly a bit more floral. In any case, it’s wonderful!
So happy you are liking the Lubins!
Is Donatella going to get an earful about Lubin next time?
Signs point to “yes”. ?
I should be more excited about the Nordic week especially since normally it is right up my alley. I love winters, chimneys covered in snow, I love Christmas, I love deep scandinavian woods… By the way is anyone else on here a fan of Moomin? I have a collection of Moomin stuff (of course) including Demeter colognes and solids with Moomin. I gotta get ’em out.
SotD = B & BW Japanese Cherry Blossom. Surrounded by a ohhh so gorgeous veil of this beautiful fragrance thanks to the most lovely PL67!! ???.
I am in both lotion and the perfume, Japanese Cherry Blossom has been my favorite of the line since it first came out in 00’s. Very special to me.
So as You see I am just going more and more sideways on the CP with each passing day… ?
The cps are just for fun, so sideways is always fine
I still feel like I should jump right on the wagon of the nordic week… I have a yellow Moomin Demeter in citrus but I am well “saving it” since You can’t get them anywhere anymore… I used up all the other ones!! I thought I still had a few drops of Moomin Finnish Winter or Norwegian Wood or whatever it was called but the bottles are completely empty… I remember I was going to save them too but liked wearing them too much…
Spritzed some of my JM ginger bickie decant, with the hope/expectation it truly will turn up in the fall as a holiday exclusive and I can then buy a big bottle.
Glad you are still enjoying it and that it finally got to you.
Glad you were able to stave off the cold, Robin. I’m wearing Messe de Minuit, thanks to a lovely NSTer. I had wanted to try this for many years. While I’m not sure of the age of my sample, I’m guessing it may be the last of the reformulations of MdM. I read it as orange spiced tea with honey. If I squint hard, I can see a bit of incense and cathedral, but I certainly don’t get the heady atmospherics that the 1994 version seemed to have evoked in people. Oh well, maybe I’m just too prosaic… ?? Be well, everyone!
NST’ers are the best: I was able to try MdM also because of a kind gift! It is very classy.
I should give my sample of MdM a sniff and see what I can pick out. I suspect that mine is a later formulation, too.
The original was definitely not orange spiced tea with honey!
Trying Korres Morning Mimosa which is a lovely fruitchouli…Top notes are Mimosa, Pink Pepper, Grapefruit and Pineapple; middle notes are Ylang-Ylang, Rose and Jasmine; base notes are Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Musk and Patchouli.
I blind bought 4 from this line from SkinCareRx (no affiliation) as they have them for less than retail ($38 for 50 ml vs. $48 on Korres’ site) and then had a 25% off code for the 4th….so $28.50 a pop….that’s good cheap fun, folks.
I had been eyeing Midnight Dahlia (based on a best new and affordable article on Fragrantica) for a while and tried that one yesterday…a fruity patchouli w/ amber…also very nice. The pyramid notes listed on the bottles are quite accurate for the two I have tried. I bought Cashmere Kumquat and Vanilla Freesia too.
I realized many of my vanillas were more fall/winter so I have had to branch out into spring/summer vanillas to appease the Goddess Vanilla.
you are the Goddess Vanilla
The Goddess Vanilla has a worthy High Priestess!
Hi there!!!! I am still alive. ?
Project/job absorbed most of my energy and time.
What was left of time and energy I spent on horse riding, some running and painting (watercolour). And watching a lot of tv (streaming services)
Perfume (and everything else) took a backseat ?
But just this weekend I decided to order a few samples.
…and i hopelessly fell in love with Spell 125. ?
I hope everyone is doing fine!!!!
I miss you guys.
I will try to visit NST more often again, but…its still hectic , also because social life is rebooting again now lots of folks get vaccinated around me and restaurants are open again…
Riding and running are much better than staring at a screen. And eating out after all this months is priceless!
Socialize while you can!
Nice to see you and yay sor Spell 125!
Yay for all the things you listed and especially a rebooting social life!
Glad you stopped by, especially with a potential lemming!
Nice to “see” you and glad to hear you’re able to go out and see friends IRL again!
Enjoy socializing IRL, and when you can, pop in to tell us all about it.
SotD is Replica Beachwalk in memory of my stepfather who passed away this weekend.
The weather here is rainy and is a match to my mood… wishing I could be there physically with my mom and sister. Tea is a basic orange pekoe with a bit of milk and sugar (same way he used to fix it).
I am sorry for your loss.
I’m sorry to hear about your stepfather. Sending you some comforting hugs; I love that you made his tea.
Thanks. It’s the little things that bring comfort… tea and listening to some of the music that was always present in our house growing up.
My condolences on the passing of your stepfather. Hugs.
I am sorry about your stepfather. I hope his tea brings you some comfort. Sending virtual hugs.
I’m so sorry for your loss, how nice that you are enjoying his favourite tea.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you warm hugs.
Sorry for your loss! Sending hugs to you and your family.
Big hugs and so very sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry to learn this. Sending hugs.
I’m sorry to hear about your stepfather. Big hugs to you and your family.
So sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family. The ways you are remembering him today are so thoughtful.
I’m so sorry to hear that Kinuknits, and hope your mom is ok.
Thanks. She is hanging in there now that most of the shock has worn off. It helps that two of my siblings live nearby (my sister is staying with her temporarily) so she has family with her. She sent pics of the sunset at the beach they used to enjoy since they both retired… hence my choice of Beachwalk probably for the next little while.
“Shopping” in my box of packed scents and stumbled upon Narciso white cube. Had to go for it. So beautiful.
Watched the crew working in the next door duplex this morning. Fascinating how they move earth so efficiently. They’re filling in the sides of the foundation and packing gravel in what will be the crawl space. Luckily, we’ve been walking up early…they started work at 7 am. But I’m happy to see the big mounds of dirt be diminished.
Finally baked my rustic peach tart. Peaches can be so finicky. The first one I cut into seemed to not be ripe or ripening oddly. Still rock hard on inside but soft on outside. Second was same, but the third peach and the rest were at perfect ripeness. This seems to be the way of peaches…they can be a crapshoot.
Mmmm… A peach tart. Yum!!
It’s so easy! Flour, sugar, ginger, nutmeg and a store-bought pastry round.
Yum! Looks so amazing!
Oh my gosh, this looks like straight from a foodie magazine. Looks amazing!!
Totally agree with you on the dice roll of how tasty or not peaches can be. When they are good, they are wonderful. But when they are bad, they are horrible. ?
I believe there is a Seinfeld about fruit being a crapshoot too. Just bought some hard nectarines and wondered if they would ripen…occasionally they don’t but within about a day they are soft, juicy and delightful…the mysteries of stone fruits.
Drives me nuts when grocers don’t make brown paper bags available for peaches…helps them ripen much better.
Loki week continues in Black Lotus from Floral Street- a peppery powder leather, very much in keeping with the majority of MCU Loki when causing chaos and mayhem. Unisex & rather sexy, honestly!
Went for Agent Provocateur today, because cool and rainy again. Nearly all our tomatoes in our garden got brown rot, because of the extremely wet weather. My poor boyfriend worked so hard with nursing the plants etc and now we have to throw them all out.
Oh no about the tomatoes! There is nothing as good as home grown; wish I could send you some.
Oh no! SO frustrating to put in all that work and then that happen.
Agggh! That must be super frustrating. Poor tomatoes.
How is the rest of your garden faring?
The rest seems to be fine. But tomatoes hate to be wet.
That teapot is gorgeous, Robin. I’m glad you were able to avoid the cold, and I hope your husband is feeling better.
ToTM was Numi Aged Earl Grey + Bengal Spice. I’ll be drinking a cup of Cultured Cup Snow Peach white tea pretty soon. An almond butter Rice Krispie bar will go with it. I made a double batch so I can take some to my sister’s house tomorrow. I’m in a book club that meets in her general vicinity, so will be staying overnight. The following day I’ll be having lunch and a sniffa with Calypso! ?
I’m in Byredo Sunday Cologne today with a little La Tulipe on my shoulder. Both have faded, so it’s time to try something else. Have a good day, all!
Enjoy your meet up…that sounds delightful!
Thanks! I’m looking forward to it.
The new community that I am in has a book club and I am anxious to join! Your Rice Krispie bars sound delish.
Oh how nice that it’s built in to your community! I hope you love it.
Have a wonderful time! Visiting a sibling and meeting up for a sniffa sounds like heaven.
Thanks sistine! It will be a nice little vacay. ?
Wow, that sounds so awesome! Enjoy!
Sampling Milestones from TSVGA. BIG smoky oud with a touch of florals. Fortunately it’s my day off because this is nowhere near appropriate for work.
Hope it was a fun day off, thegoddessrena.
Just pray for us,for my country, and for me.Will not go into details, but the 3rd wave of Covid is here in full swing, political unrest has lead to serious looting, destruction and violence.South Africa is burning down, and I am not sure how this will end.I am scared.Just pray.
I came here to seek a little beauty and distraction tonight.Hope you all are well!
So sorry to hear this.
I read it in news today as well, so scary ?
Lets hope your country will find some peace and quiet soon ?
Take care ?
I am thinking good thoughts of safety and healing for you and your country.
Also sending out good thoughts, Johano.
Hugs, peace and prayers to you… hoping you are safe and stay that way.
Praying for you Johano. Stay in touch.

Echoing Jalapeno – sending you and your loved ones positive vibes and wishes for peace and health.
I am so sorry Johanob. Praying for your beautiful country to be restored to peace.
Sending good thoughts your way, johanob.
I saw some of the headlines out of South Africa this week. ? Sending healing and positive vibes your way. Do take care!
Sending love, light and big hugs.
I did not know about this – thank you for letting us know to send prayers and hugs.
I will light my incense tonight and send good energy for you and your homeland.
Sending you love during a scary time. I’m so sorry you must deal with so much uncertainty and danger. I hope meaningful peace and stability come quickly.
Send you much love and baci!
Sending prayers for you and for your country. Hugs and love.
Praying for your country and you. I wish I could send you a huge hug. Your posts always bring me a smile and brighten my day.
I’m sending love and hugs to you, johanob. I’m so sorry this is happening to your country.
Johanob, gosh, I had no idea, and it seems like I consume so much news I don’t know how I missed this. It seems to be on BBC but NYT has nothing I can find.
Thinking of you, that is all so scary, and right in the middle of this pandemic.
There was a NYT article on Monday, but I had to delve into the Africa section of international news to find it.
Fighting the cold weather with Myrrhe Impériale, an extravagance from Armani Privé.
The Prive line has some totally gorgeous bottles.
Posting a little early today since my schedule is all scrambled.
Commando. I had an emergency dentist appointment this morning because I chipped a tooth late last week. I noticed it Friday evening. My dentist doesn’t have weekend appointments, but I wasn’t in any pain. It turns out the chip was small and didn’t crack the tooth. All I needed was for the rough edges to be smoothed down. I got lucky, in a way.
Also, there was more bad news yesterday about my Mom. The situation is still evolving, but it looks like I will be back on an airplane to help my brother out again. I don’t know if she will survive the rest of this year.
So not the best day for me to wear perfume.
I’m sorry to hear there was more bad news about your Mom. Sending fortitude and virtual hugs to you, your brother, and your mom.
Thank you Vee.
Sending fragrant hugs to you and best wishes for your mom.
So sorry to hear about the bad news. Stay strong.
We’re fortunate that the PT/OT/rehab place my Mom is at now has been up front with us and not sugarcoated the situation.
Sorry to hear about your mom. Sending you strength and comfort! And glad to hear that your tooth is ok!
Thank you tulipani. I’m hanging in there.
I hope you will get to spend some meaningful time with your Mother, and I am glad you can go. I feel sure she knows you and your brother are there. Sending best thoughts and hopes for you!
A lot of things are still up in the air as of tonight MossyBerry. I was able to see my Mom back at the end of May, though.
Great, big hugs to you, Jalapeno. I am glad your tooth was ok. Very sorry to hear about your mom.
Thanks She-ra. Today was a bit of a roller-coaster.
I am so sorry!
Thank you Lovestosmellgood.
I’m sorry to hear about your mom, friend. Hope the dentist wasn’t too terrible. Hugs.
My dentist is awesome! And she was so happy that it was “an itty bitty chip!” in her words.
A dental emergency PLUS bad news about your mom is a lot to deal with. I’m sorry, and hope you get some good news soon.
Thank you missionista. Good news would be a nice change, for sure.
I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom; sending you hugs.
(And very glad your tooth was mostly OK).
Thank you Gail for the hugs. (And I am still ridiculously pleased that I didn’t have to get a crown for that tooth!)
Oh Jalepeno, what a rough time.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Thanks sistine. Appreciate that.
I’m sorry there was more bad news about your Mom. I’m sending hugs and prayers your way.
Thank you Nancyleandros. Not unexpected, but not easy to deal with all the same.
Oh jalapeno, I am so sorry to read this. Wrapping you in strength and love.
We are chipped tooth twins. Good news your tooth didn’t crack.
I’m sorry to hear that you chipped a tooth, too! Is there something in the air?
Hope that yours gets taken care of soon.
Jalapeno, I am so sorry…was really hoping you were going to have a period of calm soon.
Thank you Robin. It would certainly be appreciated, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon. It’s a long hard grind right now.
I’m sorry about your mom. Feels like a no perfume day for sure.
Please take good care of yourself!
I started the morning testing two Kierin NYC samples: Left wrist: 10am Flirt, which is a gorgeous gardenia-fig-sandalwood that I could not stop sniffing. Right wrist: Nitro Noir, which to my nose was a red berry (lingonberry or maybe red currants) with patchouli; apparently others get a lot of iris, but either I got none, or I need to work on identifying non-powdery iris. I liked both, and I have a feeling I’ll take advantage of the discovery set discount to get a FB of 10am Flirt.
Post shower I am in Sonoma Scent Studio’s Forest Walk, thanks to SheriG’s efforts to help me find my HG forest scent. To me FW is a photorealistic deciduous forest, in the late fall a few days after a heavy rainfall; the petrichor is gone, but the leaves on the ground and the earth beneath them are still damp, and there are thick streams of sticky amber sap clinging to the tree trunks. So amber, wood, earth, and decaying leaves (but in a good way). My HG will have less amber and more cypress or juniper greenery, but wow does SoScSt deliver on what they promise with the name here.
Drinking darjeeling today.
I love your description of Forest Walk! I don’t get that from it, there’s something in the musks that really bother me, but I often have *wished* I did!
Has anything come close in your Forest Scent search?
As of now, 8 have advanced to the next round (When this mythical next round will take place and how many contenders I will allow is yet to be determined, but as long as I’m still having fun I’ll keep round one going). In no particular order:
-Regime des Fleurs Falling Trees (which kicked off this search)
If I had to choose, I’d say Bindebole is in the lead, and I haven’t tried it yet, but I think layering Bindebole with Hinoki and Zagorsk would probably get extremely close to what I’m searching for. ???
Robin, I’m so glad to hear you’re feeling much better today!
Wore Sketch (Maison Violet) this morning, but the tuberose was very prominent on me and I washed it off. I don’t think I want tuberose in my ambery scent, but if you’re a fan of tuberose, this is quite nice and different. I might copy FearsMice and spritz on some Messe de Minuit soon.
I just got my bottle of Sketch. Still in the package but I intend to wear it next week.
I hope the weather will cool a bit for you to wear Sketch! It doesn’t strike me as a warm weather scent.
ooooh, tuberose is a favorite for me. Thank you for the tip!
The first couple of times I wore it, the tuberose didn’t really stand out, but it has the last two times. It seems unusual to find tuberose in a warm, amber type scent.
Is Sketch a sample, or a full bottle?
Thankfully just a sample! It’s lovely, just not for me.
SOTD = Maya Njie Tropica
Woody tropical fruit bowl (what Byredo Pulp was supposed to be but did not deliver to me).
In other news, a friend of mine passed away on Sunday morning, 3 days after surgery for a blood clot. I am garnering courage to call his widow to express my condolences. He had been planning for retirement since our 30s and it is sad that he cannot enjoy the fruits of his labor. 3 kids, with the youngest having finished Ivy League college on a full scholarship. They live in Texas (not the 2 older boys) and the memorial service will likely be in NJ next week. Gone too soon.
I’m so sorry to read your sad news, hajusuuri. Your phone call will surely be very difficult. I hope your kindness will give you and his widow some comfort today.
Very sorry for your loss. The call will be tough but appreciated. Big hugs to you.
So so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Sending you hugs and prayers for his family.
When my sister was able to look back and remember who called and kept calling after my brother in law died suddenly, this hard call will mean everything.
I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. We never know how long we will have. Sending good thoughts for the difficult call.
Oh, what sad news, I’m so sorry for your loss! Don’t dwell too long on it, just call!! You won’t regret it.
I’m sorry about your friend. It will be a difficult, but I am sure it will mean a lot to his family to get a call from you. Sending virtual hugs.
I’m sorry for your loss. it somehow seems extra hard when it’s a friend/contemporary.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Gone too soon is always so hard.
I’m so sorry about your friend. You will know exactly what to say.
Thanks everyone. I called her after I left this post. It was a shortish call and well-appreciated. The memorial service is next Friday and I will take a personal day off to attend.
Oh no. So sorry to hear about your friend. Gone too soon has an especially sharp sting. My sympathies.
I’m very sorry for the loss of your friend.
Oh, I’m so sorry hajusuuri. So glad you were able to call (that is so hard) and that you’ll be able to attend the service.
SotD = Bogue MEM
MEM is both odd and sublimely comforting. Lavender works wonders for me. I really should get a FB before it disappears. It’s always the good ones that get away. But the price and the consumer guilt (!) hold me back. That’s a good thing, I guess.
LOVE the teapot up top today. My Danish grandmother’s china was one of the blue and white floral patterns from Royal Copenhagen. That teapot could kickstart my collecting tendencies were I to see it in a shop. Funny thing is that the teapot is about the same price as a bottle of MEM.
You smell lovely, NSTers!
Same with prices and consumer guilt holding me back!
If perfume took less space and money I’d be drowning in it. It’s a problem for sure.
I don’t have enough consumer guilt. I say get it now.
no time like the present, and perfume is a perfect present IMHO.
If you would really be bummed out by missing out on MEM, then go for it. In these crazy times, a happy-making perfume is a Good Thing.
good advice, Jalapeno! happy-making is important these days for sure.
I love that you can mix and match all the blue & white Royal Copenhagen…I can see collecting it too. But I have enough things to collect already!
exactly that! I have four blue and white “Blue Nordic” dinner plates I saved when my grandparents’ home was being sold. None of them match exactly, each is from a different decade, but they look great together and mixed with my white IKEA dinnerware.
I generous dose of Cashmere Mist this morning. Not that popular but sometimes it’s just easy and nice! It’s really stuck in there throughout the day but that may be because I used about 10 sprays haha.
Easy and nice just works sometimes. I love that you did 10 sprays!
Unintentionally CP compliant in Vilhelm Mango Skin, from a sample. Meh. This sample’s getting thrown into the “bath bowl” to scent some future soak. Fruit. Flowers. Nothing to really offend or keep my interest.
Spent the morning dealing with “customer service” that was neither customer nor service oriented. Finally managed to resolve my issue, went for a walk to calm down, and now I’m scented in Bombay Bling. BB never fails to cheer me up. Also, finished Andy Weir’s latest. Some similarities with The Martian and much, much better than his 2nd book.
That really sucks when “customer service” isn’t! Definitely an aggravating experience.
I’ve been wearing PdE Aziyadé for the last few days. Really looking forward to having access to more stuff next week.
Your perfumes will be so happy to see you!
Yay for more perfumes!
Day 2 of Agonist for the CP with The Infidels. Amber, rose, spice, patchouli. Bourbon vanilla is also listed–maybe. Sweet but also dark after around five-six hours. Not my top choice from this line, but definitely acceptable. Our weather is overcast, rainy, with thunderstorms, but not very hot today. This is a good choice.
Sotd was Bvlgari Aqua Divina, from a generous Nster. I think it’s too soft for the humidity here. I went well over 8 sprays and my skin just ate it up quickly. It was nice while it lasted though. I chipped a tooth today. Thank goodness there is no pain, and it gives me a reason to continue wearing my mask! I think I am the last person in the city to do so.
I still wear a mask in any retail situation. Did so in Home Depot earlier tonight, in fact.
Oh no on the chipped tooth! Glad that you are still wearing a mask. I will be too even after my 2nd vax kicks in.
If you makes you feel any better lillyjo, I am starting to feel like the last person in NJ wearing a mask. I am debating trying to find one that says “Vaxxed & Masked” on it bc I’m worried ppl think my mask means I’m not vaxxed, when in fact I am just terrified of covid. ?
Ooh, if you find that mask please report back! Great idea!
