Happy Almost-Friday and happy Earth Day (and happy 83rd birthday to Issey Miyake)! What fragrance are you wearing?
Inspired by perfumelover67 yesterday, I'm testing Providence Perfume Co Irisqué.
Reminder: on 4/23, wear one of your "top 10 of spring" fragrances (unless it's fall where you are, in which case wear one of your "top 10 of fall" scents)
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Good morning Y’all,
It’s chilly this morning! What happened to SPRING? 🙂
I’m fighting back in warm and cozy Rebecca Minkoff EdP! Definitely my favorite find of 2021 so far….
I haven’t tried that perfume but I am sporting a pair of Rebecca Minkoff boots today. https://images.app.goo.gl/kzQoDYqJDJ9CGEz57
Perfect winter to spring boots since its in the 30’s this morning and I am a NYer that is refusing to go back to black clothing 😛
Those boots are super cute!!! I bet that soft leather smells like the perfume! It was 35 in Atlanta this morning! COLD!!!!!!
Here too! I am wearing a sweater.
Oh, those are super cute boots!
It’s not too bad in Millbrae, 50 degrees. Still a little chillier than I’d prefer though!
Happy Earth Day all!
Following Robin’s choice for sampling an iris fragrance, I am in Bukhara thanks to a generous NSTer. This is a very iris focused gender neutral scent.
Still sampling my birthday teas..Kids tried this green tea and gave it too thumbs up. Notes are organic green tea, organic cardamom seed, organic cardamom pod, organic vanilla pieces, natural flavoring. They said it tasted like cake.
yum, i’d love a tea that tastes like cake!
I’m generally in favor of things that taste like cake. Except maybe scrambled eggs. Or roasted broccoli. Don’t try to make those taste like cake. But otherwise, bring it on! ?
Bukhara is really pretty!
Ears perk up at the mention of cake… I do love how you describe your tea experiences. We have 10 boxes in rotation at the house, Mr. SmokeyToes always wonders if that’s too much but it’s gone soon enough (and stored in a dark/cool cupboard) that I never worry.
these samples are really small, for a few pots of tea. It was a sweet birthday gift, but I am pretty loyal to Mariage Freres. At the moment…
The company august uncommon is based in CA. My favorite so far is their coffee tasting tea. LOL
I’m wearing Maria Candida Gentile Hanbury.
Oh nice, you smell great PriscillaE!
After a week of exploring and enjoying the Gallivant Explorer set ( my favourite is Amsterdam, and Bukhara). I’m wearing an old spring favourite today, Fleur de Chine, it’s such a shame Tom Ford discontinued this one, it’s a real old school (chypre) beauty.
I am enjoying Bukhara today
I love Fleur de Chine! I nursed my decant along for some time. You smell lovely.
Morning. Second day of Jo Malone for me. Today its Red Roses. Still not sure what to wear later in the day when it wears off.
Drinking caramel rooibos tea and having a couple of lotus biscuits. Yum.
Pass the biscuits!
PdE of the Day is Wazamba.
Robin, I’ve really enjoyed the bird pics this week. Happy Earth Day, all.
I’m glad!
You smell wonderful! After thunking my decants over the years I finally bought a fb of Wazamba and I want to wear it all the time!
Thank you, ringthing. Congrats on that full bottle!
Mythique for me today
Oh, lovely!
Oh, you just gave me an idea for what to put on! I’m late to this due to being kept awake by cat antics until 5 a.m. last night. Slept til 11:30 and finally just had my shower.
Spending some time in Avignon right now. Only 9 more days until vacation and I can’t wait!
Nine more days! NINE. More. Days!! (Say it with me now!) NINE. MORE. DAYS!!! 😀
Oh yay, hope they will fly by.
My SOTD is Nocturnes by Caron, a lovely white floral with stephanotis, lily of the valley, orris, cyclamen. It’s lovely and not really ‘me’, but it fits for today. I wanted something pretty and powdery.
I am soooo sleepy, on my third cup of espresso. Training at 10, then I’ll head to the gym to wake me up. 🙂
We purchased a new couch and I’m so excited for it’s arrival in a couple of weeks. Our current isn’t old, but it’s not the most supportive for my back.
A new couch is a good thing, hope it will be better for your back. When we shopped for a couch I quickly removed all that was called lounging sofa from the list, I could now get up from these, too low. I must have gotten old
I bought a lounging sofa for the den last year and seriously, my husband has to hoist me out of there — I am old AND short.
Living room sofa is my size 🙂
I liked the current couch until I sat on a nicer quality, firmer couch. This feels so much better. Now we have to watch the calendar clock down to delivery day. I am not the most patient person…
I waited SIX months for a sofa last year, not kidding. Stupid lounging sofa showed up in about 2 weeks, ha.
Done buying sofas now for a very long time.
I love new furniture!
We are getting a new mirror that should be here May. We only ordered Sept of last year!!
I love new furniture too — if I wrote an essay about what I did during the pandemic, most of it would be about furniture, and waiting for furniture. (And the rest would be about paint colors, ha.)
Your scent sounds so pretty. I don’t think I have tried anything from that house. Do you have vintage or current?
Good luck with your new coach! New furniture is so exciting!
I have that scent too and really like it. Another idea for what to wear soon. Thanks!
Seeing your post and seeing the notes, I somehow thought of Queen of the Night. They aren’t really that similar, but there it is. ?
I’ll dig out my sample and wear it tomorrow if I can find it.
Yay for a new couch! We are in dire need of a new one, but I find shopping for that to be an utter pain in the rear end. It took us years to get the one we have, since I was/am so picky.
Happy Earth Day!
Today this week to support our planet I tried repairing the handle of our small Moka pot. This is the SECOND small moka Mr. Teebear has managed to break in the last year! In all fairness we are both clumsy before coffee. Probably a temporary fix at best (it required glue, and glue+stovetop temps rarely work long-term) but I’ll cross my fingers anyway! E6000 is powerful stuff.
Wearing Angela Ciampagna Rosarium which with its incense and rooty flowers scent straddles winter/spring, much as today’s hideous weather does ?
Duct tape fixes everything.
That’s what I use! And it works!
I am extremely clumsy, I manage to break everything. I joke that the reason I married Mr. SmokeyToes because he fixes things that I break. ? ?
I’m in Fougère Emeraude by Les Indemodables from a sample sent to me by Pixel. This really is a stunner. Scratches a similar itch to Chanel’s Boy, and although I love the aesthetic of Channel’s Boy more (look, bottle, and cap). I might prefer this perfume. I’ll have to test them side by side.
I’m strongly considering adding Boy to my collection. I didn’t expect to like it as much as I do. I LOVE the opening.
If you don’t mind, how does FE compare?
They are smelling remarkably similar to me at the moment. Testing them side by side, the advertised notes notwithstanding, the Les Indemodables smells less powdery and I get a hit of something that makes me think of orange blossom. Boy is more powdery and a tiny bit drier, with something ever so slightly edible in there–maybe the coumarin? It is hard to imagine someone loving one and hating the other, although which one is preferable really depends of course.
Thanks Oakland. I guess that I need a sample.
My spring couldn’t do without Jul et Mad Aqua Sextius so I’m wearing it today 🙂
Ciao Lucasai-I am 50 pages away from finishing Wings and Ruin. The Sara Maas series is really good. Next will either be the next book..or Crescent City which is sitting on my night stand.
I am reading this out of order and wish I didn’t. I read Court of Silver Flames first and I still haven’t read the first book. In Court of Silver flames I fell hard for Cassian but now involve with Rhysssss… Curious to know who is your favorite?
I’m in Vanille Farfelue by Dame. Which means crazy vanilla? idk about that, I’d say it’s a work friendly, safe vanilla. I do get quite a bit of aldehydes so if you love vanilla and aldehydes I’d say it’s worth a try. I’m a few hours in and it’s growing on me.
Today is my daughter’s first day of high school. Went to ll bean yesterday for her to get a new back pack, flowers are so middle school. lol. I can’t wait to hear how her day went.
I get more aldehydes than anything, but I like it! Super good luck to your daughter!
I like it too! It was a free sample and I transferred it to a small decant so I could spray.
Thanks! She had a good day.?
How exciting for your daughter and for you.
Thanks Aurora, I’m so excited for her to be able to see her friends again.
First day of high school, that’s exciting!
It is!?
High school is a big change! I’m so glad she had a good day. ?
Exciting for both of you! I hope that it went well today.
I’ve proving that retesting can be rewarding in ELdO Rien. The first time I tried it, I felt like it was overwhelming and almost “buzzing” at me somehow. I wore a tiny spritz last night and a full spray today, and I’m loving it! Nothing to do with Spring, but it feels like winter today anyway.
Yep, sometimes 3rd time is the charm 🙂
Satin Doll by Ys Uzac for no other reason than the fact that dear Kanuka was mentioned here this week and I seem to remember that she likes some Ys Uzacs. I do hope her treatment is going well and that it works. If you are reading, Kanuka, there are still loads of daffodils in Luxemburg.
Adding my good wishes for Kanuka.
Me three.
On March 14 or 15 she was starting her 5 weeks of radiotherapy, so that must be over? And then she was to have surgery.
I’m in a healthy dabbing of Chanel Sycomore this morning, from a manufacturer’s mini. It is truly a lovely scent, but I’m not sure I would assign it to spring – on me it’s more autumn, or maybe all-season. One of its notes reminds me a bit of Paracelsus – need to investigate further to figure out whether I’m imagining things.
Well, the two don’t actually have a lot in common, as it turns out, but it could be the tobacco note they share, combined with cypress and juniper (Sycomore) or cedar and woody notes (Paracelsus), that is tricking my brain. As time has gone on, Sycomore has become more resin-y/woody and there is less and less similarity between the two.
You smell marvelous in Sycomore. I’d never heard of Paracelsus or the house before, but I’m adding it to my “to try” list.
Oh, do try some of the Soivohle line. I think jalapeno who posts here often has tried far more of them than I have and can tell you more about them, but the ones I’ve sampled have been very well done and Paracelsus is heavenly.
I get a bit of weed in the sample I have of Sycomore! I laughed like a maniac when I noticed that.
Driving down to Mom’s in about an hour with her birthday cupcakes. She lives on the coast, so hopefully they don’t get too banged up. I’m tempted to swing by a store and look for a cupcake carrier, but I’m not even showered or breakfasted, yet.
I wore Lys 41 yesterday, which I think of as more of a “summer” scent than a “spring” scent, but it was nearly 70 degrees, so that seemed right. On the beach today, it’s only going to be in the 50’s, so I will go back to something warmer to keep me company–maybe Ambrasine. I like it’s salty amber, and it seems right for the briny beach air.
You smell great Marjorie Rose, and hope you & your mom have a lovely celebration.
You smell lovely Marjorie Rose, enjoy celebrating with your mom, happy birthday to her!
Don’t worry about the cupcakes, I’ll eat the damaged ones! 😉
Many happy returns to your mom, enjoy those cupcakes, no matter if they are a little squashed.
Belated Happy Birthday Wishes for your mom!
I’m continuing my sampling from BDK Perfumes with Tabac Rose today. A little spicy at first, then it gets sweeter with some chocolate notes and tobacco. It’s lovely so far (I’m only about a half hour in).
Trying to distract myself from the noise of suburban leaf-blowers by huffing my wrists, and succeeding only partially. Wouldn’t it be better if everybody’s lawn care folks got together and chose a single day to use these infernal contraptions? Instead, one neighbor’s yard gets done on Tuesday at 7:00 a.m., another’s on Wednesday mid-morning, today’s is at 8:30 a.m. Time to breathe in scent, and remain calm…..
I read last year that the city of Portland will be replacing their leaf blowers with electric ones over the coming years. I’m so grateful! I wish everyone would do that–they are so much quieter. I hope you survive the noise without too much annoyance!
Marjorie Rose, it’s become a pet peeve. They are just so obnoxiously loud, and it seems like not a day goes by without somebody using one right outside my window, usually at a very early hour (it gets really hot here by mid-morning). Electric versions would be marvelous!
Lisa D, I have a couple BDKs to test this week too, including Tabac Rose, but I’m going to have to be in the mood for rose before I try it. Yesterday was Gris Charnel, which has great top notes and middle section, but the drydown to me was fairly boring. I wouldn’t mind a decant, but let’s face it, since BDK only sells 100ml, I’m never buying that thing. Still, nice to sample.
Yes, I really liked the top notes for Gris Charnel, too. I’m a sucker for top notes, and can sometimes talk myself into purchasing a full bottle of something I don’t need because of those first 10 minutes………
They have travelsprays of some of their scents now! I know what you mean, I will never finish my 100ml Rouge Smoking…
I’m going to sample the Rouge Smoking tomorrow!
Hi Lisa, I liked Gris Charnel last night. A bit spicy, sweet, cardamom that quickly developed into a creamy sandalwood fixture. Only three sprays and it didn’t really last, but my skin had a nice winter dry day yesterday, so it is worth revisiting.
I’ll give the Tabac Rose a chance later and compare with you.
Sorry about the neighbors! I live among chain saw lovers. ?
Chain saws — oh, goodness, I don’t know if I could bear it!
With you 100% of the leafblower hate. What’s wrong with using a rake or a broom?!?
Another great bird pic!
I am in Woman in Gold compliments of Hajusuuri…and it is lovely! Citrus, aldehydes, flowers and vanilla…what’s not to like??
Oh, I like that one, and I like it compliments of hajusuuri, as well! You smell wonderful.
You smell great!
At least 5 sprays of Camellia Chinois from Maitre Parfumeur. It’s a very fresh and herby tea scent, but a bit heavy on the musk. Still nice enough for spring.
It’s arm enough to sit on the balcony, so I made an Americano cocktail with Campari, white wine and soda. Very nice and refreshing
Sitting on your balcony in spring, drinking a cocktail and wafting gorgeous scent — what a wonderful image that evokes!
I’m wearing the lovely “Le Parfum de Thérèse” by Malle Editions de Parfums. I finally bought a bottle a couple months back and couldn’t be happier after having nursed decants for many years.
Happy Earth Day!
Also, Robin, I see you’re testing Irisqué and I’ll be curious to read a review if you do one of it. I have to say I love a lot of PP creations but was sadly disappointed with that one. I’ll stay tuned to see your take another day.
I tested my sample last night. It was a hectic evening so I didn’t really pay attention but I didn’t like the opening. It had a mild funky oud smell to my nose. Typically oud is not a note that I like paired with iris.
Charna frequently uses oud in her perfumes but it could have been something else. I will test it again but it could be that it’s just not for me. PL67 wore it yesterday and had a different impression. You can look at yesterday’s thread for her take, if you are inclined.
I would also like to read Robin’s impressions of this scent.
I would not say I was sadly disappointed, I would just say that I would have liked it better without (or with less) oud. I do find it really enjoyable to wear (especially after about 10 minutes, when the funky part fades, and then for the next hour while the iris is strong) and I’ll drain my samples with no problem, but I’m not sitting here figuring out how to afford a bottle 🙂
Me either which is probably for the best!
Interesting. I wish I had gotten more iris. I just got a muddle of a scent. And I like oud.
If I’m saving up money, it will be for Vientiane.
And I will take bottles of Samarinda and Branch & Vine 🙂
Congratulations on your bottle! ??
Says she who is nursing her second decant.???.
You smell GORGEOUS!
Since our temperature have dropped and there were snow flurries this morning, I went with Irises by TRNP. It’s a beautiful warm iris scent. I just love this one.
Snow flurries, yuck! Quite cold here for late April too though.
I think we all just want spring!
Snow flurries? Yuck. Every time I imagine moving back to NY in retirement, I remember how grey and slushy Spring can be in the North East.
Temps dropped to low 40’s and super windy which made it feel even colder. We had snow flurries and sunshine at the same time. Luckily it’s not much, just weird…
Chanel 5 L’Eau which I love for spring and summer. I also love the bird pics you’ve been finding, Robin. So beautiful! Still enjoying our sunshine while it lasts as rain will be returning soon.
SP – you smell lovely! We visit friends down south who have assorted bird feeders on their porch. It’s so much fun to sit out on the porch and have birds flitting about.
Just butting in with an observation – we’ve had a hard freeze 2 nights in a row and the birds don’t sing when it’s below freezing! My husband and I were talking this morning about how much we have missed them the last couple of mornings. Here in the Midwest we wait for the birds to return every spring, get used to them again and miss them when they get cold.
You smell great! I really salute Chanel for offering it in that cute and affordable little 35ml bottle.
The 35mLs are the bomb!
You smell great!
Jour Ensolleille, which I think of as a more summery scent. But I’m happy to wear it.
It was warm enough to chat with a friend on the phone while sitting outside in the sun. Kitty Agnes spotted a woodpecker this morning that she found quite interesting. She’s up in the window now hoping for his return.
And I think she’s in love with the fireplace…
What a lovely perfume you’re wearing! And I used to have a kitty named Agnes 🙂
How is Agnes kitty doing in her new home?
We think she loves it. She seems relaxed and has a routine of taking a late-morning snooze under the bed in the carpet.
Robin, that’s a lovely bird pic! Pretty color combination.
Scent: Perris Monte Carlo Mandarino di Sicilia, in honor of a sunny day. Not springy at all, I would say. I’ve been wearing it about 20 minutes (I’m guessing), and we’re in the drydown stage. It’s nice; I’ve enjoyed the sample.
Notes, per their website:
Top notes – Green Mandarin Capua, Bitter Orange, Yellow Mandarin, Petitgrain Paraguay
Middle – Jasmin,Geranium, Orange Blossom
Base – Cedro, Amber, Musk
Tea: mint tea
Spring scents: I love the list of iris scents that are popping up here; things to check out! I wore a lot of Demeter Dandelion last month when I was desperate for spring.
I am curious about the Perris Monte Carlo line..anything stand out to you? I have only tried the Arancia
I’ve only tried Mandorino & Arancia, so I haven’t explored them enough to say. The only thing I can say is that these are good enough that I would consider trying others…
Ditto from me! I love love love their Ylang Ylang and Patchouli Nosy Be. Also as mentioned yesterday their tuberose one.
SotD = Ostara for Earth Day
Works better for me on a cool or cold day like today. Ostara is a pretty and odd perfume, or pretty odd, depending on the moment. Sometimes it smells transparent like a fresh daffodil, other times there’s a dense golden almost-syrupy feeling that takes over.
Joining TeaInTheGarden to say how lovely the bird pic is up top today! 😀
Perfect choice for Earth Day!
thanks, LizzieB! 😀 the connection made me smile when I spritzed Ostara this morning.
Glad the birds are appreciated because more to come 🙂
yay! my young adult son works in a parrot/bird shop, so we’re bird fans around here. 😀 My instagram feed is thick with birds!
Love the picture!
SOTD = LUSH Confetti
This was a spur of the moment buy. I was at the mall on Monday and had a semi-longish wait (1 hour 45 minutes) before someone can help me organize my Mac purchase. I have not spent much time walking the malls (nor do I want to) and it seemed like a perfect opportunity to walk around. Anyway, I stopped by the LUSH store because Inwanted to see what other body sprays were available. NONE, other than a mini Rose Jam as part of a gift set! They’re also all out online. The SA said it was because of supply issues. In any case I landed on Confetti, initially because of the green juice but it also smelled pretty nice – green, violet, nutty with a hint of coffee.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CN-jEBEh-DE/?igshid=12kz0543wv9c0
The owl you chose is a perfect color match for the juice!
Now that I looked at it again, the greens really do match and complement Confetti!
How was the shopping experience there? I haven’t been back to my Lush store because it looks like they have alot of rules about sniffing.
Yeah, I got in trouble at mine.?
Ditto
They’ve cut down the number of products by about half in order to fit people although I don’t ever recall it being crowded ever. I kept my mask on the entire time having the notion that sniffing perfume was not an acceptable reason to remove it temporarily to smell better. Although I could have spritzed the various stuff myself, I let the SA do it. She was also kind enough to ask me if she should overspray (yes!).
So you could smell it through the mask?
I was just sniffing shampoos the other day and really could not get anything through that K94 at all.
Oh, violet, nutty and coffee sounds intriguing! I always want to love Lush scents, but there’s something in their base that drives my allergies nuts or gives my skin hives. I LOVE the Rose Jam shower gel. I’m happy to enjoy it on others, just can’t do it for myself.
I got sick of my Rose Jam shower gel and thunked ot with a little bit left. I’ve jad no problems with the perfumes although I do the spray and walk into the mist method so nothing concentrated lands on skin.
I haven’t been to the LUSH near me since last November-ish. I’m currently using the last bottle of Rose Jam shower gel that I picked up then.
It’s always fun to stop by a LUSH.
Speaking of LUSH, has anyone had any luck with dupes of Kerbside Violet or should I just keep scanning the e bay?
Several months back, I was going to buy online the last bottle of Twilight in stock at my local store and pick it up curb-side — and it slipped right through my fingers! Somebody online was ahead of me in checking out, and got that bottle. It hasn’t been in stock anywhere (that I could see) since then. Lucky that you like the Confetti! There for a while I couldn’t see your Instagram posts, but now I can again; I do like that owl in today’s pic.
Very busy day with meetings since early this morning.
Wearing Bvlgari Au the Bleu. Another spring favorite! ❤
Back to read comments later.
Happy Thursday, everyone! ?
See ya later tater!
FYI, there’s a bottle of Au the Bleu online for under $30. Don’t know if you need a replacement or not….
I have a bub of Au de Bleu, but a bub of a bub is always needed. Checking online right now!
You smell lovely! Au The Bleu is so calming.
Thank you Tulipani. It is indeed a very relaxing scent!
The only bottles I find of that one are the humongo sized ones.
That’s a good size for a split.
Right now I am sniffing some of my bottles, and deciding if it is time to rehome a few of them. Not going to add to the perfume herd just yet.
SOTD is Keiko Mecheri Camellia, from a sample. Might just wear it again tomorrow, it’s a really pretty magnolia scent.
Oh nice, there aren’t enough of those.
I third the ravishing bird, Robin you make stellar choices.
I was in R&G Amande Persane during the day but I applied Jasmins Marzipane this evening, it is very floral and less marzipany this time, no complaints as I love a jasmine scent.
Dinner will be soup (pea and mint) with artisanal bread.
Love Jasmine Marzipane. I get mostly floral in that one.
I was surprised at how floral it really is.
Very Spring-y dinner! Sounds delish.
Yes, it is a ready-made lovely soup, very fragrant.
I’m intrigued by Jasmin Marzipane. It sounds really beautiful – not surprising with Dominique Ropion at the helm.
It is really floral and lovely, are you in Europe? If yes, I’m in the UK and can send you a sample.
TDC Tokyo Bloom. Def in my top 10 spring fragrances, and
one that I ONLY wear in the Spring. Always makes me happy
Glad you are happy then!
I don’t think I have any fragrance that I wear only in one season, but I will have to think about it.
I started out in 10 sprays of Arielle Saturday, and I’m close to thunking the decant I swapped for during the last swap meet. I’ve thunked two decants and at least one sample, so I’m thinking this will go on the FB list. Or at least the “swap for” list!
Thanks for the kind words yesterday about the Wild One being sick. She has allergies, not kennel cough, thank goodness. Evidently, it’s an especially bad year for allergies. So she’s on some meds for that plus a very small amount of a steroid for her throat. Here’s the sweetheart of our world:
https://www.instagram.com/p/CN-ucV4hJKE/?igshid=vmr1pe29ygr3
What a love! So glad she’s on the mend 🙂
Me too, allo. She’s a sweetie.
Glad to hear the pup is on the mend, she looks so sweet!
She’s joining us humans in suffering from bad Spring allergies this year.
Awww, I’m sorry allergies are getting you too!
Adorable!
Thanks, Petunia!
Beautiful! I hope she feels better soon! ?
Thanks, M. I’m glad your Yei is feeling better. He’s had a tough time, poor baby!
Yay that it isn’t kennel cough, but Boo for allergies! At least you found that out quickly.
I found out from the vet that dogs can take Benadryl for allergies, Zyrtec as well. Once she finishes these meds, I may try her on one of them if I absolutely have to.
That doesn’t sound so bad, then. How’s The Wild One at taking meds?
Surround it with enough sharp cheddar cheese and she’s good to go! ?
Hope your girl feels better very soon!
I think she’s on the mend! ?
SOTD is Lost Cherry to match my red sweater. It’s going strong all day!
Have any of you smelled the jams colognes by Jo Malone? I’m so curious!
I am waiting for mine to arrive.
I’m in Guerlain Vetiver – stole it back from Mr. allo. It’s so fresh and green. It makes me happy.
You smell great 🙂
Thank you! I just wished it lasted longer 🙂
Wearing my oldest friend, the one who knows me from waaay back and who always has my back, Chanel 19 edt. Love. Perfect for spring or any time I need to just smell like me – 19 is it. Gives me courage, too.
You smell amazing!
You do smell great! It is a perfect scent!
Good stuff!
Just realized I was scent-less, so I sprayed on Jolie Madame to remedy that situation.
We are back to sunny, windy weather today. At least my overwintered plants got a few hours of sunshine outside. The geranium already has 2 flowers in bloom; I’m pretty excited about that!
Yay for the geranium!
Thank you! I was a bit surprised to see them!
You smell wonderful!
Thank you Petunia.
I’m wearing Box of Eels today after a fruitless attempt to buy peat moss at the garden centers. I went to three and no one had any. Is peat moss a seasonal item? Anyway, I am back home now, eating chips for lunch and thinking about where to hang the new art piece that arrived yesterday. I might have to switch some stuff around.
That is weird, but it does seem like everybody is out of everything, still.
Song of the Day: https://youtu.be/rBrd_3VMC3c
Wowza, it got chilly overnight! Good sleeping weather, and a good day to make a batch of chili. ??
SOTD = Clinique Wrappings EdP paired with Pacifica’s Persian Rose Body Butter. I smell purty!
It was awfully windy and freezing last night and earlier this morning here too. Winter was back to say goodbye!
How is your MIL doing?
She was sad to see us leave.
I haven’t heard anything else, so I am going on the assumption that no news is good news, and things are going well enough.
Smelling great! Hope your weather swings back soon.
Oh, I think my area is well and truly on the Springtime Weather Roller Coaster. I saw a couple of days where temps might hit 80 in the next week!
Nice and cold and windy here…no complaints ?
The cats are enjoying having the heat on. They’re camping out on the vents again.
I felt kind of guilty about burning fossil fuels on Earth Day, but I had to turn on the heat again. The cat obliged me by lying on my feet this afternoon.
SOTD is Jo Malone Cedarwood & Juniper, which on my skin is apparently cedarwood & cumin. Thankfully it isn’t a sweaty cumin, just a toasty, mildly spicy one that pairs with the cedar nicely. Not at all what I was expecting tho; I never both to read the note descriptions on Jo Malones because isn’t that what the name is for?! I can get a couple more wearings out of my sample and I’m tempted to use one of those to layer it with a vanilla, just to play around.
Drinking a hodgepodge of bagged teas today instead of a proper pot, but it reminded me how much I like the Taso Orange tea.
I too am loving the birds this week, Robin. A robin build a nest at eye right next to my kitchen window, so I’ve had the pleasure of checking in on her multiple times a day the past two weeks. I’ve name her Connie, and her eggs should hatch any day now. Hatchlings in the nest are my favorite sign of Spring.
That’s pretty cool! And Mama Bird isn’t freaked out my your comings and goings in the kitchen?
Apparently not. I may be hidden by the reflection off the glass.
Mother Nature! That’s a wonderful story.
I was going to follow thegoddessrena with Mythique but when I opened my perfume cabinet, Debut was in front of it and I reached for it instead. Linden blossom and lily of the valley, you can’t get much more springy than that! I don’t remember if I posted this yesterday, but I did go see my doctor about my bad cat scratches, and he prescribed antibiotics, which are giving me that usual yucky feeling.
Oh yum, you do smell great!
Glad the antibiotics are not making you sick. My mom had to take a course for a cat bite just recently.
Hope the scratches heal quickly and cleanly —
I am wearing some TF Lavande Extreme. It is from a sample and I knew even before I tried the sample, that it would be 100% “my” type of perfume as the name says it all… One day I will get a full bottle of either SL Ecens et Lavande or TF Lavande Extreme and I do not even favor one or the other… I don’t care if it is SL or TF – they both represent the most beautiful lavender to me.
Hopefully the TF Lavande Extreme will still be around when you want to get it.
I do want to try the Lavande Extreme — hope it’ll still be in Nordie’s when I work up the courage to go back inside a store…
Better late than never. Today I wore Carven L’eau de toilette. Perfect for spring, although it was cold and windy here today. It was also worked well for my dentist appointment this morning. It’s light and clean smelling. It looks like I won’t be able to put off getting a crown. Ugh to teeth.
That’s too bad. I hope that you aren’t in any pain.
Better that it all gets taken care of now. I know that your wallet will be very unhappy but putting it off further can cause some nasty problems.
My mom always said she put all of her money where her mouth was, sigh. But at least you can be sure that you actually need the crown. (On my last visit to the dentist I was dumb enough to buy expensive prescription toothpaste that I probably don’t really need.)
Sorry about the dental work!
Sorry you have dental work to deal with! It’s a drag to get it and then another drag to pay for it. ?
