Amouage Boundless & Material ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 6 April 2021 6 Comments

Amouage has launched two new fragrances, Boundless for men and Material for women.

Boundless (shown) ~ "With Amouage Boundless Eau de Parfum Spray, he will see the land as truly boundless. When all around is lacking ground. If he can fall, he'll take it all into a sky of perfect bliss. To hold it still, with peaceful will and once again bring voice to fullness." With blood orange, cardamom, ginger, elemi, vanilla, benzoin, guaiac wood, oud, papyrus, cocoa, tobacco, oak moss, frankincense,  myrrh, vetiver and patchouli. "Boundless is a burst of joy, a fleeting euphoria, translating the vertical tension that empowers those who want to enclose in their hands the immensity of the world. This ardent and vivacious energy echoes that of sunlight bouncing off the dewy leaves of the jungle, flickering in rays through a flower-studded canopy and grazing rainbow-barked trees before vanishing amongst gnarled and misty-kissed boughs. In Boundless, this rite of spring comes alive through tones of spices, clear and crisp, dancing in the shade of deep and somber trees..." Developed by perfumer Karine Vinchon-Spehner.

Material (not shown) ~ "Amouage Material Eau de Parfum Spray, for lustre and luxe. Going jungle deep. Material Girl, you'll find in it, the essence of your jungle spirit." With elemi, patchouli, vanilla, benzoin, guaiac wood, oud, osmanthus, frankincense, labdanum and tonka bean. "Material is a paradox – through materiality, it evokes immateriality, teaching us to look beyond appearances and to realise that what matters is often unseen; an experience akin to standing in a grove and seeing in the sweltering shade a multitude of textures and manifold hues of wood and leaf and bark; all coming together into one. Material is not a mere study on Vanilla: it is Vanilla untamed and unleashed..." Developed by perfumer Cécile Zarokian.

Amouage Boundless and Material are available now at Escentual in the UK, £245 each for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

A bit of a new direction for them in metaphor isn’t it? But I want that men’s scent!

Maybe? I can’t even tell. Amouage PR did send me new descriptions…see above. They said what Escentual used was wrong.

    Material looks like this: https://www.escentual.com/amouage/amouage143/?source=aw&awc=2991_1617737195_d1b6a122d5ef1d91105d1ac790a3b9df

I still prefer Enclave colors but I might give a new Amouage a try eventually.

Oh oh I love that red bottle. I was bored reading all of the ad copy until it started mentioning “a study on vanilla.”
