Amouage Love Hibiscus ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 3 March 2026 8 Comments

Amouage has launched Love Hibiscus, a new floral fragrance in the Secret Garden Collection. The last in the series was 2024's Love Delight.

An inviting, mysterious, Nordstrom-exclusive fragrance that represents the light and shade that characterizes vivacious, uncompromising femininity.

Fragrance story: From the moment it begins, Love Hibiscus ingeniously presents both of its main facets at the same time: a Hibiscus note tart, berry-like and herbaceous and an appetizing Sugar-coated Palmier accord sweet, buttery and caramelized. Linking them together, with their citrusy, woody aspects, are a delicious Passion Fruit and a generous proportion of Frankincense. Finally, Sandalwood, Indian Papyrus and Vanilla bring the heft and depth that renders the whole perfume indulgent and sensuous.

Additional notes include bergamot and orris.

Amouage Love Hibiscus is available now at Nordstrom, $395 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m surprised by the frankincense. Seems like that would overwhelm the hibiscus and passion fruit?

It is the brand’s signature note, and it is not always heavy at all.

Sometimes frankincense can have a citrus-like topnote that resembles lemon. I can see it being a good match for passionfruit.

If you know of a frankincense like that, I’d like to try it JP!

Sorry my reply was dense. Meant to say do you think this amiuage will be like that? I’ve never smelled one of their line.

From what I understand, Amouage’s house style has evolved somewhat. I am only familiar with some of their older scents which are quite complex. Some of them even have a bit of the 1980’s “everything but the kitchen sink” vibe to me.

I haven’t tried any of their newer offerings yet.

          Hope this helps!

There have been a couple of passionfruit + ouds recently, but the oud overwhelms them for me. I’m curious to see if the frankincense and woody notes here give a similar vibe but without over powering the passionfruit.
