Happy Almost-Friday! (And happy 51st to Queen Latifah). What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm taking points in good old Prada Candy.
Reminder: 3/19 will be Foody Friday...wear a gourmand or foody fragrance (this is a repeat project from 2015).
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: a 283g tin of Toot Beer candy ("Hammond's old fashioned Root Beer Drops are a nostalgic favorite packaged in a fun, giftable tin. Tastes like a tall glass of Root Beer Soda in a piece of candy!") is $12 at Hammond's.
In L’Aromatica Kulfi.
On my second cup of coffee with a pinch of cardamom and few drops of almond extract.
Expecting rain at anytime now, but at least is warm.
Happy almost Friday! ?
I love cardamom , in anything!
One of my favorite spices too! ❤
Same.
I’m excited for my L’Aromatica samples to arrive (hopefully today) so I can finally try Kulfi.
I hope you like them! I have a full bottle of the original Kulfi and is delicious!
Continuing my Chanel week (following SmokeyToes idea) in Coco.
I am wearing
The EdT, EdP and a few drops of the parfum from my Chanel fragrance wardrobe that I have kept all these years.
I smell spicy and sexy.
Coco in parfum is on my list for someday!
WowZa! You smell fantastic!
Those candies sound delicious!
We’re having a remote learning day because of probable tornadoes. That’s s a sensible way to use technology – to keep school buses off the road during severe weather.
I’m wearing Provision’s Maitri over their Manifest body oil. My husband asked what I was wearing when I was just wearing the oil. I said “an incense-y body oil”. His comment: “If church incense smelled that good I’d be way more likely to attend services.”
Be safe if extreme weather is in your forecast, and peaceful no matter what your weather will be today!
Oh my! Stay safe!
One of the side benefits of teaching remote during this time might be an ongoing ability to shift to it for snow days, etc.
Our school district is already doing this for snow days. The kids hate it!
Fingers crossed sistine!
I briefly saw some footage of tornados on the news last night and yikes! Stay safe!
Hope that your wild weather has passed on and you have the “All Clear” now!
Prada Candy! Mmm, you smell fine Robin. They should’ve made Candy Man many years ago…
I’m in Ambre Ayanna from Maison Incens.
I’d probably buy a fragrance called “Candy Man” unsniffed!
I imagined that perfume years ago but somehow Prada never made it real XD
Quick, patent the name!
Forgot to mention – Poland is going into another lockdown on saturday.
As some journalist on the radio said accurately today, it’s “livin la vida lockdown” LOL
I’m sorry Lucasai. Is it the whole country? I hope it doesn’t last long.
Yes, the whole country. For now it will be until April 9.
Oh, no! Is this in anticipation of Holy Week and Easter — trying to squelch people’s plans to travel or gather?
Ugh, so sorry. Hoping we are done with lockdowns here, but you never know.
Ugh, saw your story at the gym. Was that your last session before lockdown!
Yikes. That’s a bummer.
I’m wearing CSP Vanille Abricot. My full bottle went bad, but fortunately Beautyhabit included a sample vial in my last order!
I bought the Dr. Sheffield chocolate toothpaste recently mentioned in a lemming post. It’s likje brushing your teeth with brownie batter! I like it a lot, but my teeth didn’t feel as clean (possibly psychological) so I’m using that for “touch up” brushing and regular mint toothpaste for morning and night.
Ha – I wondered if I would feel that way about the chocolate toothpaste. Your plan sounds good!
Oh, my. Not sure I would find that enjoyable at all. Chocolate doesn’t sound clean and fresh in my book.
I have a toothpaste with watermelon and mint, very nice.
HUGE thanks!! I am already used to non-mint toothpastes, so if it did not taste like plastic, I want some.
Time change combined with a 7 AM (!) meeting is a torture for a night owl me. So, no perfume for me yet, I will put on some after a shower (scheduled in an hour, after the second meeting is over). On the positive side, I got some time to check-in to my favorite SOTD thread (even if I can’t report my SOTD yet).
Time change really hit me this year too. And who does a 7am meeting?!
Evil Morning Larks (as opposed to regular Morning Larks), who dismiss Night Owls as lazy. Cousins of the Evil Extroverts, who get the restaurant staff to sing Happy Birthday to Introverts who have already explained that they really don’t want that attention.
??
You are my people!
LOL
I would definitely say “hell to the no” to a 7 AM meeting.
At my work I noticed that people start sending emails around 5 or 6 PM. I guess it’s all the people working from home and sleeping longer or what.
But I go normally to the lab every day and I work until 4 PM so these emails always wait for me until next day morning.
We didn’t change time in Poland yet but it’s coming in less than 2 weeks now.
7am meetings are sadistic even if one isn’t a night owl.
Good morning!
Scent of late last night/early this morning: Demeter Gingerbread. I may try to do Condensed Milk or Chocolate Chip Cookie sometime this week.
And I have that solid perfume of LUSH Cardamom Coffee…Another week where I have lots of options.
I need to get a little bottle of condensed milk, that one is so nice.
I’ve had a lot of fun playing with the Demeter samples I got in 2019. Very early in 2020, pre-shutdown, I got 1 oz. bottles of Pink Grapefruit and Rosebush from a little Demeter display table at the local Boscov’s, and found Baby Powder at Marshall’s. I’d been able to sample the Pink Grapefruit and Rosebush. The Demeter Baby Powder was a $10 blind buy, but I find it very pleasant and soothing, so that was a success. lol! The 1 oz. bottles at Boscov’s were $10 also, if I remember correctly.
Spent some time with Infusion d’Iris this morning but now in Tobacco Vanille right now. Making a little shopping list. Even though there was some Costco talk today, I don’t think that my folks will make it up there today. But coffee is on the list since we are completely out.
Completely out of coffee is an emergency in my house
I don’t even drink it (home made coffee, that is), and of course I never run out of tea, ha.
Wearing Rundholz April.3.1968 today, a huge animalic incense bomb. Since winter is nearly over, need to wear my heavy-hitters before it’s too late!
I was just thinking that…
Not foody at all today in Eau des Sens.
Made a vaccine appointment for next week (yay), but then got a report that our school has already reported several positive cases this week since bringing more kids back onsite (boo). I’m not a teacher who lives for summer vacation, but I really am looking forward to it this year.
Our schools are aiming to bring kids back next month. I’m one of only three parents in my son’s class who opted to stick with distance learning, but it just still feels too risky since no one in my family, including my 73-year-old father, have been vaccinated yet. I hope things stay safe at your school!
I loved Eau des Sens, I thunked my bottle last summer.
I love that it doesn’t smell like anything else I own. I thought I only loved it in the heat, but it’s hitting the spot on this rainy day.
Yay, good for you! I didn’t decide to go back for seconds, tried to find something else that’s just as unusual.
Your vaccine appointment can’t come soon enough! Stay safe!
2nd that.
Be safe and be well! Congrats on your vaccine appointment.
Hooray for the appointment!
No perfume yet…still debating what to wear.
Was just chatting w/ my 22 year old niece who has had lingering symptoms from Covid and her doctor referred her to a cardiologist to get everything checked. Ugh…feeling pretty sad.?
So sorry to hear your niece is dealing with longer-term symptoms — I hope she bounces all the way back soon!
Thanks, Isabella.
It is heartbreaking (no pun intended) to think of a 22 year old having to see a cardiologist. ☹️ I hope she can make a full recovery!
Thank you, tulipani.
Hopefully whatever lingering symptoms she has will clear up soon!
Thank you.♥️
That’s scary, I hope your niece is OK.
Thanks, Gaynor.
Spoke to my sister and she said they have a post COVID protocol for kids & young adults if they keep having symptoms of heavy chest, shortness of breath then they get referred to pediatric cardiologist to follow up to detect heart issues. I have read about reports of heart issues/damage even in people who had mild symptoms too.
She-ra, she probably already knows this, but they are reporting some good results with long-covid cases doing better after getting the vaccine.
Although of course you may mean something different so never mind if that’s not applicable.
I heard this too, Robin.
Yes, thanks Robin…have heard that too.
Hope that your niece gets some good news.
Hope your niece fully recovers and stays positive through the challenge.. Very hard for her to deal with this. I’m sorry.
I think I get negative CP points today. I’m wearing Cristalle EDT as I needed a spring-y herbal break from sweet. Cristalle isn’t really entirely unsweet (not bitter), but it’s definitely not gourmand. I only have a large sample and now feel a bit of pressure to buy the bottle. I’m worried they may do a way with it or reformulate it beyond recognition. I’m sure for those of you who wore it way back when, it already seems different. It was very much not my style then–I was busy with Je Reviens.
You’re joining me for Chanel week! WOO!
Cristalle was my favorite in H.S.
You get CP points from me.
No CP points…don’t think I kept any gourmands from the packed boxes.
Yesterday was Fiori di Capri. (I have a BUB of this from eBay that is packed, because I wanted the old bottle out of reformulation concerns.) Today is Le Temps d’une Fête. I will never understand why this beauty was discontinued twice! I have a large bottle but still wish I had a back up.
It’s amazing how rarely the scents we all love are the best sellers!
Truth.
I’m in Amouse Bouche this morning, and smelling a bit like a Strawberry Shortcake doll served on buttered toast. It’s so darkly cloudy here today that during breakfast, my son remarked, “This feels like dinner!”
Oooh, I love that Strawberry Shortcake Doll smell. I hope the toy company promoted the genius who came up with the idea of scenting the dolls
I’ve been meaning to try Amuse Bouche for a while and now I’ll definitely add it to my next DSH order. Yes please to Strawberry Shortcake doll smell.
I tried Amuse Bouche by DSH several years ago. It’s fun but strawberry notes are difficult. Not sure if you will see this but assuming you like strawberry notes, you may like Fraaagola Saalaaata by Hilde Soliani.
Is it really spelled that way, or is this in the spirit of Alahiiiiiine? I generally don’t want to smell like strawberries, but every now and then it hits the spot, like a slightly guilty snack…
Yes! I confess that I had to look up the bizarre spelling.?
Nothing wrong with smelling like a strawberry if it makes you happy! We have to take any and all opportunities right now! I have my indulgences too, like Kate Walsh Boyfriend an orange frosted cinnamon bun of a fragrance..also Natori, a sweet aldehydic rose/plum. I have more!
I limit my strawberry to the shower mousse I got based on some NST recommendation.
Shalimar Parfum and Shalimar Powder
Double goodness!
Oh. Shalimar powder. (Quietly adds to fantasy shopping list.)
Broken pipe under the kitchen sink last night had my poor husband up until 6am this morn. cleaning and getting ready for what they just finished fixing today — ugh, at least it isn’t Monday!
SOTD: Le Labo 31 body lotion
Sorry for your pipe problem, glad it’s fixed.
Ugh. But you smell great!
Oh, serious ugh!! Hope he gets an excellent night’s sleep tonight.
Bleah for plumbing problems!
So sorry! Good man. Hope he caught up on that sleep.
P.S. I still have your decant of Gourmand Coquin set aside..,
SOTD is the very sweet Love Don’t Be Shy. I love it, and it feels like spring today and my scent matches.
Hammond makes delicious chocolate bars! I’ve had several of their flavors and have loved them all. Those candy tins would make nice little gifts! Cute packaging.
I forgot to mention…try the bar Pigs and Taters. Potato chip flakes and bacon. OMG! The PB&J one is good too.
Do you have the older black bottle or the newer white one please? Apparently it was reformulated and I was googling, just late last night in fact
, seeing how/if I could hunt down an old black bottle but it’s easier said than done. Also I don’t remember trying it but have become interested in it w/ the Extreme version being released to (generally) good reviews.
Very good to know, I had never heard of them. I do love bacon chocolate bars.
The three Chanel decants I ordered from eBay (from a reputable seller best I could tell) arrived yesterday so I’m taking a break from gourmand perfumes to wear Allure EDP. Ahh, what a trip down memory lane to my high school years. I’m still curious to try the EDT as I can’t remember which version I wore. Maybe I’ll be able to swap someone for a sample or small decant at the next swap meet.
What fun!
I ❤️ the EdP.
I’ve got a line-up of ambery-oriental perfume goodness. Laid out in front of my computer monitor this morning are: Ambre 114, 10 Corso Como, Labdanum 18, Bois Sacre Sandalo (Arte Profumi), and Laudano Nero—that’s the order in which I plan to wear them. I have a bunch of writing I need to get done, and I have been procrastinating terribly. So the perfume flight is set up as a reward system for every page that I finish. So right now I’m in the Ambre 114.
Amber is one of my favorite scents. Please tell me how the flight goes, I’m always on the hunt for new ambers.
I love the idea of the “perfume flight” and want to set one up ASAP! What a great way to get to more fragrances and to really savor each one.
Thumbs up for the perfume flight, and good luck with the writing!
Nice motivation idea. I’ve been procrastinating on some projects, too. Maybe I’ll try this out.
Less caloric than my usual incentives!
Great incentive!
Oh, what a great ‘carrot’ to motivate you!
SotD = Insolence EdT
Berries! with iris and violet. Feels like spring in a French candy store, but without the sugary-sweet toothache.
And I love the crazy bottle.
Just for giggles I requested a copy of Let’s Eat France from my local library. Over 400 pages –
“There’s never been a book about food like Let’s Eat France! A book that feels literally larger than life, it is a feast for food lovers and Francophiles, combining the completist virtues of an encyclopedia and the obsessive visual pleasures of infographics with an enthusiast’s unbridled joy.”
Last night I dreamed I was on vacation in Europe. I need some armchair-and-kitchen travel adventures in my life. No more pandemic sourdough banana baked-oatmeal bread for me, no way, no how.
I hope this isn’t a duplicate comment — our internet is spotty today. I will have to try Insolence — “spring in a French candy store” sounds heavenly.
Great choice with Insolence!
I own this book ( bought secondhand). You will LOVE IT!
I just saw that David Lebovitz recommended this book on his blog recently — it looks like a lot of fun!
The EdT is my favorite of the Insolence ones. I hope to wear it more this spring.
JHAG Mmmm…raspberry-floral with a vanilla-caramel base and a bit of play-doh. Never fallen in love with anything from this house.
We’re berry twins today.
My son likes to invent imaginary teas and offer them to me in menu format, and then serve me imaginary cups while I’m cooking. “Raspberry-floral with a vanilla-caramel base and a bit of play-doh” sounds exactly like something he’d offer! Last week it was “Moroccan tea with chestnuts, rose hips, roses, chocolate, and swirls of whipped cream with strawberries and cherries.” In tea form, mind you…
that’s so cute!
Shalimar on this rainy WFH day. Yesterday was Rhubarbe Ecarlate, which probably doesn’t really count as gourmand, but it seemed like a safe choice for an in-person teaching day. Not sure what I will choose tomorrow; it looks like I will be shifting to in-person teaching on most Fridays (in addition to MW), so will need to stick to more subtle scents. But maybe I’ll cut loose and douse myself in Angel when I get home.
ha! nothing beats Angel for cutting loose.
And I can almost imagine how nice Angel would be over the drydown of Shalimar.
If everyone has to wear masks, you may not need to cut back…
Good point — and we are really spread out on Fridays: each group of students will be in its own (adjacent) classroom to work on its project. Being in-person for this (vs. Zoom breakout rooms) was the students’ request, and I will say, after the fact, that they used the in-person time and the physical workspace really well.
Morning everyone! I’m in Chanel No. 19 vintage extrait, layered with the body cream (the cream is discontinued). I’m wafting loads of greens, iris, galbanum, and moss. My last class in the series was last night, it went late, I woke up late, having coffee late. I guess this is today’s theme…
The landlord is visiting with a termite inspector, I have to stash SmokeyToes, we haven’t seen any buggies but who knows how that will go. ST is not a fan of new people, I’ll hide him in the bathroom.
I just finished a series of seven books in the A New Orleans Witches Family Saga, written by Sarah Cradit. The characters were excellent, it’s about a woman from Ireland who has seven children each with their own ‘gifts’, and each book had a more dedicated story line to each child, and while it was relatively strong, the lack of using New Orleans as it’s own character was disappointing. I felt having a more vibrant description of the city would have added layers of texture and nuance to the stories. The last book in the series devolved into a quick wrap up of the story line, and the author had a cheat sheet at the end of the novel what happened to each of the siblings and their children, which I felt spoiled the experience, and deterred me if I wanted to read the subsequent series.
I’m currently reading Robin Cook’s Pandemic and The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion: by Fannie Flagg. I’ll let you know how it goes!
How did the termite inspection go?
I don’t know if the termite guy was supposed to tell me, but yep, they found termites in a downstairs apartmenet.
Who knows what comes next?? We’ll see and hope for the best.
No points, I wore SHL Black Gemstone today, very fitting for our snow showers this morning.
Holding off on the CP until tomorrow. Today I’ve got TF Ombre Leather on one wrist and Oud Wood on the other. the OL is giving me “younger brother who is so freaked out by the antics of his older brother, Tuscan Leather, and the stress it causes on their parents, that he tries to be a straight-laced, dutiful younger son” vibes. I like it, but I prefer the creaminess of Bottega Veneta for leather, and the mischief of TL for excitement.
As for OW – I’m getting a sharp coriander that I do not like. Or maybe I’m confusing coriander for something else, bc it is not a listed note, but either way, I’m not into it. I was getting an overload of coriander the other day from my old Cartier Concentree mini splasher; if not for the OL on my other wrist I might start to worry that my skin is emanating coriander on its own, but I definitely get it only on the OW wrist today. What smells like coriander other than coriander?
Sometimes dried citrus peels can smell a little coriander-ish to me.
Sotd is Fils de Dieu for some “savory” goodness – it reminds me of rice pudding which is one of my favorite desserts.
You smell great.
Thank you!
I love that one. It triggers some feeling of childhood for me though I still haven’t been able to figure out where I smelled something like it as a kid.
This is a great time of year to wear Fils de Dieu.
I have that, and this is a good reminder to get it out and wear it!
SOTD is Tom Ford London, for a chilly rainy day. We need the rain!
My house deep-clean project continues. Yesterday I took 14 bags o’ stuff to Goodwill, and I’m only halfway thru the clothes closet. Eep.
Wow! Way to go!!
That’s fantastic! It’s liberating to clean out the closets.
Dang. That’s alot of bags. Pretty awesome!
Woo hoo! Did your house heave a sigh. When I took 4 bags several months ago, I felt the happy sigh from the house. More to go!
Yeah, it’s like my house is losing weight. More to go here, too!
Wow, you must have a big closet! That’s a lot of bags!
Shoes. In their boxes. Soooooooo many shoes! And all I wear these days is slippers
Egads, that’s an impressive clean out!
No points for me today – or maybe partial points, because grapefruit? I’m in Jour d’Hermes, partly because I woke up at 4 am with a splitting headache and couldn’t face a heavy fragrance, and partly because Chanel tells me my bottle of Paris-Deauville will arrive today (and Jour should be all done by then)! Woohoo! Having yogurt and avocado toast for breakfast, along with an aspirin, a sudafed and coffee for the headache (which is nearly all gone now – phew!).
Jour d’Hermes is so light and refreshing, especially on a day when you just can’t.
Absolutely right – I love it always, but especially when things have conspired against me, as it were.
Definitely at least partial points for the grapefruit note!
Wearing (and loving!) Bengale Rouge today. It’s very grey outside and we’re expecting rain anytime now.
I’ve asked for Neil Chapman’s perfume book for my birthday next week. The book looks quite beautiful and I’m looking forward to it.
You smell wonderful! And you’re going to love Neil’s book, it’s so nicely done and enjoyable to read.
Neil’s book is lovely, I definitely recommend it!
It’s a great book! Enjoy!
*blinks*
How is Queen Latifah 51???!!!!
Am in Fresh Cream!
Right? And more importantly .. how did I get older than Queen Latifah?!
?
??
Love this!
From one of the great masters of gourmand fragrances: Maharadja.
I’m lingering over breakfast as I’m on holiday! Today and all next week. My 90 year old mother is coming to visit. It takes a bit of planning to make sure she’s organised to get to the airport and to book in visits to various cousins, but it’s all come together. She’s had a couple of health scares in the last week, but all is well, and the forecast is for a lovely day.
After my shower, which will be after some last minute housework, I’ll wear Remember Me from Jovoy. It’s my most gourmand perfume, to my nose, and it’s not too sweet.
Hope it’s a great visit!
That’s very exciting!
Have a lovely time!!
In Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance from a store sample. Raspberries, vanilla and some musk. Soft and sweet. Waiting for my son to finish filming the state basketball championship. He is going to make a highlight video and is working on getting a name for himself doing sports videos. Not bad for a junior. Next week is college visiting!
Good luck with those college visits! Will they be onsite, or virtual?
Dabbed on Slowdive from a sample. I love the chewy honeycomb in this. And those Root Beer candies are calling me!
I know, right? As I type this, I have a Beautyhabit box waiting to be opened and I have 3 tins of pastilles from one of Daily Lemming threads.
I remember loving Root Beer Barrel candies when I was a kid. ?
If I see them when out shopping I will still pick them up! I’m still a kid at ❤️!
My daughter went back to school today. It’s been a year this week since she’s been. I cried after putting her on the bus. So many emotions.
Dior Addict called my name today. She-ra, I know you are still on the quest for the perfect vanilla, but for me it stops at Addict, lol. It’s just so perfect! I suppose I should get a bottle before somebody decides to add ambroxan to it ?
Yay for your daughter going back to school. You smell yummy.
Thanks Aurora!
Yay for daughter and big hugs to you! A kind NSTer shared some vintage Addict w/ me but alas it wasn’t a love and I am not sure why…the Quest gets muddled at times in my head now.
I remember smelling it when it first came out, and it wasn’t a love for me either. It took me a long time to like vanilla but once I did, I went right back to Addict, and Casmir. My vintage decant is also from a kind Nster, I treasure it?
Okay, now I really need to revisit Addict because we share a love of Casmir.
Yes, better get a bottle soon! I assume that you have smelled the current version of Addict?
I have and I think it’s still pretty good. The vintage of course is better, the new one isn’t butchered… yet!
That could be a nice way to mark your daughter going back to school then. How was her first day?
Hooray for back to school!? and hugs to you, mom.?
Thanks mom!?
I have often debated adding Addict to my collection.
I debate it all the time. Once I bought it and gifted it to an ungrateful person and once I bought it and returned it because I told myself I didn’t need another perfume, lol.
You neeeed it! ?
When I got my bottle, I was looking for something else at the time. It’s such a great scent!
American cream today, a custardy lavender, smells very natural contrary to too many gourmands.
Aha! That’s what bothers me in American Cream, lavender! I didn’t know it was in there.
? Yes, it is very present in AC. Oh, so lavender and if I recall correctly orange blossom are not your friends.
Correct!?
HA! That must be why I like it so much! ?
That makes two of us, ?it is so calming and relaxing.
I pulled mine out as a candidate for tomorrow.
You will smell lovely if you select it, but I know your have a lot to choose from.
I remember sniffing American Cream at a LUSH store, but I’m pretty sure it was overwhelmed by the background aroma since I can’t really recall what exactly it was like. It came across as rather likeable.
In the before times I would leave the lush store to get a read on anything I sampled. That store is overwhelming. Lovely, but overwhelming.
And it gets better with every wear imo.
I was in failed sample #4 from Sucreabeille. It was called “Chloroform” and described as a white floral with “redolent indole” that was a scrubber on me. 100% hot dirty diaper. I’m sorry to have purchased a sample set and it has really put me off these little indie/online perfumeries.
In honor of Queen Latifah I switched over to the warm & beautiful Queen!
Hot dirty diaper has to be the worst smell ever! Yet, the funniest description!
I dunno, I think that fresh road-killed skunk in summer beats hot dirty diaper anytime! ?
Ok, you win!?
Lol, the sillage on that would be insane
Drip, drip, drip. Getting some much needed rain today, and right now the air is smelling fresh and clean.
Testing Poison Girl EdP and EdT against each other on a strip of paper today. They are similar to my nose, but the EdT is lighter and has a fresher orange note to go with the vanilla. The EdP has a candied orange note and a vanilla & tonka drydown. Not smelling what I associate with ambroxan in either perfume. Thanks to lillyjo for the nudge to have a sniff-off!
SOTD = Dior Poison Girl EdT. This perfume is definitely happier in warmer weather than what I have today.
I can imagine so based on your description. Regardless, you smell good!
Thank you!
I think sometimes I hallucinate ambroxan so you can’t really trust my nose! I do prefer the orange in the edt though.
There might be a threshold where you can detect ambroxan and I can’t. But I do know that I can’t be around JHAG’s Not A Perfume anymore. It annoys me! And I used to like it.
SOTD = Chanel No.19 EDP
CP fail today but eh! I was Zooming around like a chicken with my head cut off practically all day. My internet decided to be slowish this morning and I was fit to be tied but thank goodness, it got better!
https://www.instagram.com/p/CMkzTBuBBkQ/?igshid=1n920nnxhevcw
And I am on standby again as I am waiting for someone else to finish their work to get mine done. ??♀️
Someone I know used to have an “I Love Stress” T-shirt with a face drawn on it that looks like your knicknack. Sounds like you had loads of aggro today.
Who is this person? I’d like to give them mine. I’m good for now. ?
Everyone I know has too much stress, too.
Lots and my standby work didn’t pan out. Tomorrow!
Well drat! ?
But you smell really great!
Thank you!
Lol! Was not expecting that face!
I found it in a bag and wanted to put it to good use ?
You and others have inspired me to take the No. 19 EDP plunge – I’ll let you know when it arrives and I have a chance for a generous (at least 8 times) spray.
Woo hoo!
No points for me today in Fleur de Peau. I just love this scent and it lasts all day.
Sometimes it’s worth skipping the CP to wear what you want!
I’ve pretty much been doing that for a while now. I had a year of change and it’s been exhausting. Thank goodness for perfume!
I think of you every time I see Fleur de Peau mentioned. It’s nice it’s still a favorite ?
Awww. That’s sweet. I think of you when I hear Mugler fragrances mentioned. ?
You smell great! Also, congrats on shot #1 from your comment below!
You smell divine!
I had a weird day and am checking in late. Last night I slept like an absolute log. Finally got up at 10 so I could Zoom with family. Mom seemed good today. I had coffee and cereal and went back to bed and slept until 4. I guess this is my vaccine reaction. Not bad, and my only other side effect is a very sore arm. I’m ready for another nap now!
I’m wearing Memo Lalibella, because it’s cheerful.
About three weeks ago I got a mushroom kit. A friend had one and he had oodles of mushrooms, so many he was desperate for recipes. I followed the directions but felt like a failure because as of last night I had only one mushroom. But I looked today and have six, plus little baby ones! My friend said they literally double in size every 24 hours. I can’t wait to harvest some! The directions say there will be two more crops from this box. Yay!
Try a mushroom risotto, that’s easy and divine!
Good idea!
SOTD Vanille d’Iris by Ormonde Jayne. And my first vaccine shot!
Another one that I am curious about.
Thank you for the mini review of Green Spell!
I had my first shot last Saturday. I was super tired and had a slight headache. Can’t complain.
No complaints from me either, I’m just grateful and relieved. Arm is a bit sore. We’ll see how I do tomorrow. Vanille d’Iris is lovely, I’ll have to write more about it on my own blog.
I’ll be watching for your review.
Congrats on getting your first shot!
Thank you! Everyone at the vaccination site was so kind and lovely. I’m very grateful.
Hurray for the shot!
Congratulations on the shot! ?
