Happy Monday and happy Winter Solstice — watch for the Christmas star. Birthdays: Rebecca West, Frank Zappa, Samuel L Jackson. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm staying warm in Serge Lutens Rousse.
Reminder: 12/25 is Christmas. We will not have a community project, but there will be a holiday open thread (it will probably start on the 23rd or 24th).
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Floris Night Scented Jasmine. A spring scent on Winter Solstice.
Perfect choice…maybe I’ll end the day in L’Artisan La Chasse.
Ah yes! La Chasse embodies spring perfectly.
Oh wow. How lovely. A bit of spring hope in the dark winter.
Exactly. All these dark winter days made me want to wear a red lipstick and spring floral perfumes.
What a great idea!
Many thanks to Robin & other NSTers who recommended Numi’s Aged Earl Grey tea as a substitute for one of my giftee’s preferred unavailable earl greys. She likes it!
Ordered a new Chanel lipstain/gloss, and got to request samples of La Pausa and Cuir de Russie, so am looking forward to trying those.
Oh good, I’m so glad!
Yay for a new lippie and samples.
I love that tea too! 🙂
Wearing my favorite sample of the pack, Le Pavillon d’Or by Dusita. It is really good but toooo expensive. I’m curious about the other perfumes, might sample some more in the future.
Not sure if it’s still available but she was offering a Discovery Set at a good price.
I checked her website, and the discovery set was available for 59 euros.
Luckyscent has the Dusita discovery set (on backorder), for $55.00
Thanks for checking. She may have had it for €40 earlier in December.
I love that one, too. I also very strongly liked Splendiris.
All her perfumes are beautiful! Le Pavillon d”Or and also the newest one Moonlight in Chiangmai are both gorgeous.
Coffee, a bagel with a schmear of cream cheese and mmmmmm
Chanel
Le lion
I keep seeing so many mentions of Le Lion here that I am going to have to try this one out. There is no way I need a FB though, not even 75 mL and certainly not 200. If I really like it, maybe I can snag a decant of it somehow?
Enough people are buying FBs on here, there may be someone interested in providing decants, plus I’m sure they’ll start being offered on the site that shall not be named.
I’ve noticed many of the decanting sites don’t stock Chanel, not sure why. Chanel may be more aggressively litigious? I did recently order some small decant from a site called perfUUm, haven’t gotten them yet. Maybe someone else has ordered from them and can report?
I have a whole bunch of stuff that I am gathering together for freebies/swaps, so I am hoping someone with a FB might be interested in swapping a decant for one of my unloved bottles.
Chanel is definitely more aggressively litigious, as is Bond no. 9.
Love everything about this- the bagel and the Le Lion!
never met a carb I didn’t love
Guerlain AA Ginger Piccante for my happy holiday mood!
Happy Monday! ?
You smell wonderful and I can absolutely see how Ginger Piccante can put one in holiday cheer mode!
Thank you! ?
I recently found my bottle of Ginger Piccante, which I’m planning to wear on New Year’s Day.
Perfect scent to welcome the New Year! ??
That AA got a lot of love here at NST!
It is a spicy cheerful scent!
SOTD = Chanel No.19 EDP
Need to power through my day!

In other first world news, my two advent calendars are still going. I have skipped a few days here and there and had to double up on some of the chocolate (the tea can wait) but I will absolutely try to be timely this week. I consider this a victory since my last advent calendar lasted me only 1 day and then I got bored ?.
Tea and chocolate advent calendars? I need to get some like that next year. I had the l’Occitane advent calendar a few years ago, and enjoyed it. What kind was it that you got bored with?
The M. Micallef advent calendar from 2016 which seemed like forever ago and for perfumista cred, I should not be bored with one perfume a day. I think I was just too busy to appreciate the set! I still have it so maybe I’ll just think of them as “vintage”.
You smell fine
Thank you dear!
Smelling great today.
Thanks, KellyC!
Hope you have a BUB of that bottle! It’s your perfume bestie.
I will bet a gazillion dollars she does! If I lose, it just shows how my day has been going.. lol.
? I have 2!
I should have bet 2 gazillion!?
Is it possible to have book frustrations?
Venting so feel free to skip..
Early December Mr L wanted an out of print book that is expensive so I ordered online through book only website I have used in the past and I also ordered myself a book at the same time. Its shipped under the same shipping number and arrived yesterday. I was surprised at the packaging since his book is quit expensive, alas, I open it and there was only my book. I contact the bookseller and they are not able to provide an explanation to where the book is located. So I have nothing for Mr L for the holidays. Rats.
Chalk it up to 2020…sorry for the disappointment!
Are you at least getting a refund for what you paid for the book?
I had vexing gift experience also, although not as bad as yours. The item I received was defective and I had to send it back and come up with a different idea.
Oh no, I’m sorry that happened to you! What a disappointment…. Yes, 2020 is definitely a corker/humdinger of a year.
Oh, that sucks. Sorry. Crossing fingers for you.
Forgot my SOTD is Shalimar
I am trying now to re-purchase the book another way but I doubt it will be here by ?
2020 is ?
So sorry about the book, I hope you got refunded and will be able find another copy.
Somehow, I knew that… 😀
Sometimes if the gift doesn’t get to the giftee on time, we print a picture of it as a promise. My sis and I just did it for a porch bench gift that wont be ready till March.
Oh no, so sorry!!
What a letdown. So sorry to hear that.
Soooo frustrating! You smell great though.
Oh no!!! A vent is perfectly justified! Hope it manages to make its way to you even if not in time for the holidays.
That stinks! It’s always more disappointing when the package is for someone else.
That’s a bummer. ?
I’ve told giftees in the past that if I get it to them before January 7, it’s still on time. After all, there are 12 days of Chirstmas.
I’m wearing Alkemia Winter Solstice 2020 extrait.
Oh, you probably win Monday then!
Very appropriate. I forgot I have a perfume oil called Winter Solstice. Maybe I will dab a little before going to bed.
I’m with Robin. You win!
Wow. That sounds perfect.
Perfect! I have no idea how that smells, but it’s still perfect. ?
Parfait de Roses for me. Made bastilla yesterday. So delicious but a lot of work and now I remember why I go years inbetween times of makibg it.
It does look so delicious! I have never had it.
You smell delicious! Never tried bastilla but I am a very lazy cook.
LOVE bastilla. All that buttering between layers! All those different fillings! So delicious, though.
Oooh just looked bastilla up and that sounds scrumptious but yes, definitely a lot of work! Kudos to you for making it!
bastilla! Love it ? especially with powdered sugar on top.
YUM! It’s been ages since I’ve had bastilla. ?
Hi all, my SOTD is Shiseido’s Feminite du Bois, perfect holiday scent for me. Espresso and breakfast consumed, shoes on, and I’m headed out for a walk in a few minutes. I walked a total of 35 miles last week. Feeling rather accomplished (and pleasantly surprised).
No makeup save for sunscreen, I did a chemical peel yesterday, two layers each of Jessners and TCA 13%, so keeping it minimal until I’ve finished peeling. 🙂
Organizing the books I’ve read on Good Reads – turns out I hadn’t read as many books as initially thought and some need to be marked as ‘read’. I’m off December 24th through January 4th, which will give me plenty of time to clean up my account and work through my list.
I got my good reads update , what is your tally?
Hi L2SG, I read 58, but that seems short, I’m going to take a look later and double check to see if everything is on the list. How about you?
ohhhhh a Jessner…
I like the peels by Platinum Skin care, they are certified and effective, far less expensive than going to the Medical Spa.
Just sprayed Les Indemodables Cuir de Chine. I must be anosmic to some of the notes. I barely get anything from this. Very pale. Will switch to something else in a bit.
Finished up the last bit of work before I get to take the week off. Still need to do some end of year financial stuff for my business, but not doing it today!
I smell of Diptyque Eau Capitale layered with tutti frutti bathroom cleaner ??
It felt nice to sleep until 9 AM on Monday and not go to work.
It’s always delicious to sleep in. Enjoy your weekend, Lucas!
Enjoy your holidays!
Winter Solstice greetings to all in the northern hemisphere, and Summer Solstice greetings to the many of you in the southern hemisphere! The solstices and equinoxes are my favorite events to mark. I pulled the trigger (finally!) on two small Soivohle bottles last night, Cuir Beurre and the very lovely Paracelsus, so I will celebrate the solstice in dabs from the sample vial of one of those.
Yay for the days getting longer!
Love the winter solstice, we’re on the upswing now!
Yay for two new bottles!
Those days are special to me too, the change of seasons feels magical.
Congrats on your new bottles! ?
I’m still hemming and hawing between Paracelsus and a BUB of Wrappings. Which size did you get?
Also, have you tried Geranium Rose Mint from Soivohle? It’s a perfect summer ‘cologne’ type scent. Very refreshing.
I went with the 10 ml bottle on both (self-control – who knew I had any?). ? Have not tried the Geranium Rose Mint but it sounds lovely – will add it to the list! Haven’t tried Wrappings either, but it gets lots of love among NSTers so I should probably try that one someday too.
If you like Aromatics Elixir, then Wrappings will probably be in your wheelhouse. I’d consider them scented cousins.
Amouage Memoir today. I found an old sample of Rubj Edp yesterday and threw some of into my bath and onto my wrists. Something there reminded me of Memoir, so here we go!
Memoir is lovely.
Yes, it was one of my first big loves! I felt so fancy buying my first Amouage fragrance.
You smell fabulous, I wore it last week
Thanks! It seems very glamorous of a scent for poking around the house, but the pandemic is really helping me get over that. 🙂
MFK Amyris Femme Extrait today. Ahh, so pretty. And sometimes really pretty is just the thing for the last Monday before winter break!
Happy Winter Solstice, all! May our blessings be as plentiful as the days (eventually, and slowly) grow longer.
Noir Exquis from my wee mini bottle will be on tap today when I finally get going. A little ‘beautiful evening’ in honor of the Christmas Star, perhaps? My binoculars are going with me when I go out today; I’d like to get at least one glimpse of it.
Thanks for the reminder! I’m setting a reminder on my phone and setting out my binoculars also!
Woke up in Coco Mademoiselle Intense this morning and wore it all day yesterday. Post shower is no 5 bath products. Nobody really says anything about the perfume I wear but my mom complimented me on it. I might layer on some vintage extrait too. Going to finish up the stocking stuffers today. Have a strict budget of $20.
It’s funny….I never really wear No. 5 (I do like L’Eau and Eau Premiere) but I love the bath products! I don’t buy them for myself but I do buy them for my aunt and I always use them when I stay with her! You smell great.
Eau Premiere is wonderful and should start wearing it on a regular basis.
I love No. 5 body products, the oil is fantastic. If you enjoy Coco, the soap is spectacular.
How do you like the intense? Do tell!
It’s a flanker done right like Eau Premiere was. Noticed a faint but noticeable vanilla note. The citrus seems different but a little subdued. Will be blogging about it tonight.
How does it compare to the original?
Almost identical to the original.
No scent yet, hmm, where is my bottle of Ginger Piccante? Must find.
I think I’m about done with making Christmas cookies. And my stand mixer (which is dying) (again) (repaired it once before) held out just long enough. New stand mixer is ordered but who knows when it will show up. DH insisted that the new mixer be RED. Who knew he had a preference??? So RED it is.
We got a good view of the ‘Christmas star’ last night, could even see 4 of Saturn’s moons. Looking forward to seeing it again tonight.
I miiight have gifted myself some perfume for Xmas this year 🙂
I have a red stand mixer too, would have preferred something else, but you rarely get a choice at Costco.
So inquiring minds want to know, what might be under the tree for you this year? 🙂
Honestly, nothing fancy (at least so far). I think I am feeling modest or nostalgic or something. My holiday purchases are a couple of small bottles from Lush (Fresh As and Ginger), Estee Lauder Tuscany per Donna, and Ralph Lauren Lauren. Yeah I know the latter two are shadows of their former selves but, well, nostalgia.
I felt nostalgic recently too, ordered a small vintage bottle of Patou Sublime off ebay. Hope it arrives in good condition, batch code is from 1997.
Couldn’t find the Ginger Piccante, I wonder if I packed it away with the summer frags. SOTD is AA Granada Salvia instead.
What kind of cookies did you make? Glad you got a replacement stand mixer. I did without one until about 10 years ago and it changed my life lol.
We have a red ice cream maker. I always feel like there’s a sports car on the counter when it’s out.
Do you have a telescope or were those moons visible to the naked eye?
I have a red ice cream scoop – does that count?
Rose de Petra, from a small decant someone gifted me. Nice, and I like the Kardamom nite, but not a must have.
Did our holiday grocery shopping in a big delicatessen supermarket, so we also bought a loup de mer for dinner today. Fresh fish is hard to find here, so we will enjoy it with a good white wine, fresh baguette and a bit of spinach.
Mmm I love some good fish and white wine and bread.
That sounds sooooo good.
Hermessence Cedre Sambac and I am currently on my third cup of Assam Blend tea.
You smell great. I had a large teapot of Assam for breakfast, definitely my favourite tea.
You smell soooo good!
I am several cups of tea into the day too
And I have been drinking chai all day and just now switched over to the caffeine free stuff (rosehips & lemongrass).
Made a batch of lemon bars last night to give to a friend, had to test one for breakfast this morning, just to make sure they were okay of course. 😉 Washed it down with a litre of Assam tea. Wearing Aedes Musc Encensé.
Mmmm lemon bars are one of my favs!
Lemon bars (or lemon anything) are also a favorite for me. Glad you tested one to be sure!
If you need more food testers I am available 😉
Sweet!
A perfect breakfast. ?
???
Jennifer Warnes on the Ipod this morning, on a brisk but damp walk. I’m home and wearing Santal Kardamon. My sister sent me a fruitcake for Christmas (cue the jokes) so I’m having a slice and a cup of coffee for breakfast.
Hey, I like a good fruitcake! And yes, such a thing does exist!
Goodness, 2020 and the holidays have me all out of whack with commenting. I thunked my Bohemian Spice decant on Friday. Sad but enjoyed it while it lasted! Wore Shalimar both weekend days just because I should wear it more. Working from home today and haven’t even showered yet. Will probably wear something from a decant since I’m attempting to use them up.
I made cinnamon roll popcorn, peanut butter fudge, homemade Chex mix on Saturday. Then yesterday I made chocolate chip cookies (my hub’s fav), chewy chocolate espresso cookies, and bizcochitos (a traditional New Mexican cookie) yesterday. And yes, there are only two of us in the house haha. So I packaged some up and dropped them off on porches of some friends/coworkers.
I’ll be packing up cookies for friends and the local fire dept soon, I’ve made so many! Chocolate chocolate chip, espresso chip, gingerbread, orange cranberry shortbread, Russian tea cakes. We did polish off the whole pan of plain shortbread ourselves tho, oops 🙂
You two obviously need my address, too ?
Sounds delicious! You are wonderful to share.
I have so much flour a neighbor gave me from her 50 pound bag (her husband bought it at Costco during a moment of pandemic panic), I really should start baking today. ?
We always have pounds of different flours at home, but we always make out own bread. Did not make cookies this year though
Happy Solstice!
1) Am in Laura Mercier Creme Brulee in generous sprays- perfect for after a early morning spin & flow workout!
2) Installed my Christmas gift to myself- the induction range and microwave/convection oven. I got both from IKEA. Guys, now I am cooking with magnetic waves! *cue Star Trek theme*
I am VERY pleased: you get boiling water in 1 minute ; cooking oil to temp in about 45 secs! I did need to buy new pots and pans (my old pots failed the magnet test) but very worth it! I made fried shrimp- screwing up the first batch (the oil got way too hot) and then the second batch was perfect after fiddling with the controls.
The microwave/convection oven makes frozen dinners like lasagna and frozen pizza taste really good and really fast to prepare. The induction range included a convection oven as well, and I made roasted Brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes- all really fast and crisp outside, tender inside.
The difference in range capabilities is astounding. I am very grateful.
YOU installed it? Cue Wayne’s World “we’re not worthy” salute ?
Hee!
Youtube videos! Such a help!
Thanks for telling us about your new appliances, I will be in the market for some in the next year or two.
You are so welcome! And I will say this: the IKEA appliances are made by Electrolux/Frigidaire partnership and comes with 5 year warranty. That is peace of mind.
Ooh, thank you for this review! Someday Mr. Teebear and I would like a fancier kitchen. Probably pipe dreams, we’re both quote lazy on updating appliances, but you never know!
If your appliances are serving you well, leave them be! I know people who bought MCM homes and still have the original kitchen appliances- and they work superbly!
What I got in my house was basically the most basic and cheapest models for this house, which was used as a rental by the previous owners. It was time to switch out.
wow..congrats
Thank you!
Hooray! That’s wonderful. I know you’ll put them to good use.
Oh good, so glad all the new appliances are pleasing you! It is really nice to have a decent cooking setup, especially after a long time without one.
Thank you! It’s only been a couple of days and already I have no idea how I lived without it?! 🙂
DIY for the win! ??☺️
I’m wearing Copal Azur today, and smelling gorgeous. The semester is done, and I’m off work, so it’s fine that it’s Monday, for the first time in a long time.
Happy Winter Solstice, all!
Happy break between semesters!
Yay, break, and you do smell wonderful!
Last working day of the year!! Day-by-day, a lot of the year has dragged, but overall it has vanished very quickly. We have a long summer close-down, so I’m not back at work until 11 January. I think this will be the longest break I’ve ever taken at Christmas.
Celebrating the day with Majda Bekkali’s Mon Nom est Rouge, it’s gingery and sort of Christmassy, but also not a wintery scent.
Enjoy your break! 🙂
I hope your break is relaxing and refreshing.
In Cartier’s Oud & Rose, courtesy of Pixel, amped up very slightly with a spritz of A la rose–more to drain the dregs in my fb than that the Oud & Rose needs any amping.
In backyard bird news, we have an errant chickadee. Out back, we have two large, well-stock bird feeders that mostly make hundreds of passerine very happy–and occasionally contribute to their death by cat. We also have a hummingbird feeder set up on the side of the house, right outside the kitchen window. It too gets quite a lot of traffic, and makes washing dishes fun. Well. A single chickadee has now decided that the hummingbird feeder is his/hers, and spends its time roosting on the top, or pecking at the yellow plastic flowers at its base. The hummingbirds buzz it, dive bomb it, and click madly–but this chickadee is completely unperturbed. It can’t be getting a food from the feeder, so I think it must simply be enjoying annoying the hummingbirds. This has been going on for about a week, and the hummingbirds are getting more and more aggressive. Our younger cat has now taken note of the bird battles, and I am a little worried that it will end in tears for one or another of our feathered friends.
Omg standing up to aggressive hummingbirds is quite a bold move, they’re battle-ready little flying nuggets! Brave chickadee! It must be quite the scene out there. Hope they manage to steer clear of the cats.
I want to catch a picture of the chickadee with a hummingbird hovering. It looks so improbable to see the chickadee on the hummingbird feeder, and a hummingbird trying to shoo him/her. I have yet to have my phone out and ready in time to get the snap.
Our chickadees are very pretty–shiny brown with black caps. Here’s a pic from a website: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Chestnut-backed_Chickadee/id#
Ha! From time to time we get acorn woodpeckers on our hummingbird feeder. And yes, they’re chugging the sugar water, and of course paying zero attention to the buzzing hummers.
Drinking a new tea that I’m loving: Whole Foods Blueberry Chamomile which has a touch of licorice and vanilla.. really beautiful and not overpowering on the blueberry.
SOTD: Rose 31 (I know, boring me)
I cannot drink chamomile, but that does sound really good!
Do you also have a chamomile aversion? A calming, potentially sedating tea would be perfect for me – especially before bed but I just detest it. And I got a sample of Lush’s Dream Cream which soaks into the skin beautifully but it has chamomile in and I can’t take the scent. I use it sometimes for mosquito bites which it magically soothes but I couldn’t use it all over. Most people don’t love chamomile but I thought I was alone in the strength of my aversion!
It’s not an aversion, it’s that it makes me feel weird. It’s hard to explain but if I drink a cup of chamomile tea I don’t feel relaxed, I just feel off, and not in a good way.
Kusmi sent me a sample of their detox tea, and that also makes me feel really weird — it has guarana and mate, and I don’t know which one causes the feeling, so I now avoid both ingredients.
Oh, interesting. Thanks for the clarification!
Wearing Chergui today. It was supposed to snow like crazy today but instead we are having rain. I will gladly take rain over snow any day!
Ha, same here!
I would love to sample Ginger Piccante – some of You have mentioned it. Soft for sure: still sniffing my Imperial Tea enjoying it so much:)
I’m in vintage Opium EDT, my first full wearing of Opium at all! I received a sample of the vintage (not sure if it was EDT or extrait) from signing up for Jessica’s Studio 54 perfume talk a couple months back and decided I should snag a bottle after that sampling. Enjoying it today.
NICE!
So glad you’re experiencing the wonders of Opium! It’s really special.
Hello to all my NST friends! Today is the first day of my Winter Break. We are out for two weeks. It was nice not having to wake up with an alarm clock today. I just finished my Christmas shopping last week, and one place I shopped was the Estee Lauder counter. They always give me a lot of extra goodies. One of those treats was a mini spray bottle of Beautiful Belle. I did gift a few people with FB of this, so this is my SOTD. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again, EL really does make some good fragrances that don’t break the bank. Hope everyone has a great week!
Two kittens are on the premises now…feeling a bit overwhelmed but they are both sweet, love bugs. I had kind of forgotten all the daily joys that come with living with a cat or dog. My 7 year old said this morning…”it’s a pleasure having cats in the house but they kept us up all night.” We slept with them in her room to limit them to her room and bathroom. So indeed…we were up all night. 😉
Wearing Shalimar Souffle de Lumière from a perfume math free tester from FragranceNet and it’s quite nice for an unseasonably warm day…lots of bergamot and vanilla.
Also going to call and get an appointment with a chiropractor for my upper back. I have never been to one. Never had acupuncture either. ehaeheh since I am naming things not done. They appear to offer both services so maybe now is the time.
Thumbs up for new kitties and seeing a chiropractor! It did wonders for my back years ago.
Thanks…got an appointment for next Monday so I am hopeful.
I had acupuncture when we were trying IVF and it was amazing. I really should look into it again for general health/ stress relief once things get back to normal.
Yes I have wanted to get acupuncture for a while…but wasn’t sure for what ehaeheh ? But now the answer has revealed itself.
ConCATulations! Having a puppy or kitten is definitely going to keep you up at night for a while but to me it’s worth it in the long run.
Thank you!
Yay for kitties! One of my friends has started setting up mission-impossible type playgrounds for his young cat before bedtime (think ribbon mazes with toys and dangly things strewn everywhere) and he swears it helps his young crazy sleep a little bit more overnight!
Yes, I was googling and they say an hour of hard play followed by a snack before bedtime…and I will add a nightcap for myself. 😉
Wish someone would rig up something like that for me before bed! He he! Sounds cool 😀
I’ve been to chiropractors a few times when I’ve had an urgent pain situation. Both times very helpful.
That said, one of them did a hard pitch for some long-term program to the tune of $5k, financing conveniently available. Yeah, uhh, no.
No acupuncture for me yet, it’s something I’ve wanted to try and has been helpful for friends. On my post-COVID list.
Yes, I am very hopeful as most people who go seem to have very good results.
I’ve been eyeing that tester. Does it come with a cap?
Yes, it does. But I am happy to send you some too…just shoot me an email if interested. 🙂
Congrats on the cats but boo hiss on the upper back pain!
Thank you and thanks for sending the link re: your laptop stand too.
Skies here are socked in under a grey blanket of clouds, so no star- or planet-gazing for me tonight. (mope) ??⭐?
Other than that, getting things done on a Monday!
SOTD = Wrappings EdP. ‘Tis the season for it… ?
I almost did not have to read your SOTD to know what you’re wearing!
Maybe I’ll change it up later on this week. Then again, maybe not. I’m enjoying the groove I’m in.
Bottega Veneta. Today is the first official day of my break so I’m cooking chorizo and chickpea soup after taking all out moving boxes to the recycling depot and buying a fancy sourdough loaf at the bakery downtown. It’s been a great day so far.
Yay to all that! Hope you have a relaxing break.
You smell(ed) great today!
SotD Zoologist Sloth to celebrate a week of doing just that!
Yesterday’s khachapuri turned out great and today’s task was pizza with sun-dried tomato pesto, sauteed spinach, herbed ricotta and mozzarella.
Ask me if we have anything *besides* carbs in the house and the answer will be awkward silence, lol!
Sloth is my spirit animal for the nexg two weeks. ☺️
I was totally team sloth today. I wrapped a few presents and, uhh…
ha ha, go Team Sloth!
Today I did one thing on my to do list. Then I did another thing. That one wasn’t on my list, so I wrote it down and checked it off.
It was a satisfactory Monday. 😉
SotD = Ambre Narguile + zum mist Frankincense & Myrrh
Spicy! ? Smells like winter treats here. I’m wafting AN from my wrists, all the better for making the perfumista salute, and am enjoying frequent quick sniffs. A few spritzes of zum mist are floating around the house, so nice!
I feel especially festive today because AN comes from a bottle a lovely perfumista shared with me. My heart is full. ❤️
Now if I could just get someone at my house to bake cookies, I’d be in heaven. ??
You smell wonderful! Would be happy to bake cookies for you too. 🙂
thank you, cazaubon 😀 Ambre Narguile reminds of spice cookies so I’m covered for both perfume and baked treats today. I feel very lucky.
Maybe the daughter who is slow-poking her way into helping with the Christmas decors can bake the cookies?
my thought exactly 🙂 Today she made holiday cards for her friends, tomorrow she will deliver the cards with goody bags. Maybe on Wednesday she’ll be up for some holiday baking and decorating. Not holding my breath tho!
In Madame Carven which smells surprisingly modern with its coconut.
Hi Aurora! I should check this one out. I like Carven.
It’s lovely, Lillyjo, very honeyed with some tuberose which goes so well with it, I bet you would like it.
I’m working till probably 1 a.m. tonight. Last minute shoppers everywhere! Plus working with Mr. Sourpuss, plus snow! What a night..
I’m wearing Miss Dior Le Parfum. Through it all, I always smell great!?
Yikes! What a combo!
Time to spray more perfume, maybe?
Good wishes for this not so great night. You do smell divine.
Ack! At least you smell great. Wishing you an uneventful evening at work and a safe drive home.
Ouch! Hoping for an uneventful night and safe drive home!
Yikes. I don’t miss my days in a retail environment. There were years with no day off from Halloween to Christmas. I don’t miss working Christmas Eve.
Hope your work week improves and minimal holiday shopping drama!
Smelling wonderful and sorry you have to work tonight. I agree, keep spraying on!
I hope you have a relaxing sleeping time?
