Bond no. 9 Dubai Blue Diamond ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 6 November 2020 12 Comments

Niche line Bond no. 9 has launched Dubai Blue Diamond, a new fragrance.

Meet the newest addition to Bond’s celebrated, oud-centric Dubai Collection of oriental, Levantine and North African essence blends. Inspired by the east-meets-west opulence and culture of Dubai. Dubai Blue Diamond’s iconic silhouette bottle and cap features over 550 shimmering hand-applied Swarovski crystals in sapphire blue. The recipient of this gift will surely feel anything but.

Notes include ginger, pink pepper, rose, sandalwood and patchouli.

Bond no. 9 Dubai Blue Diamond is available for pre-order at Saks, $925 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I’m feeling fairly blue looking at that pricetag…it will probably sell out too!

I have no idea how these sell, or how many they make. I certainly never hear any of them mentioned here, but that means nothing.

        I think it means quite a lot,lol!
But that’s just my opinion, some perfumista somewhere is probably collecting and hoarding these,I’ve seen it on Instagram.

“The recipient of this gift will surely feel anything but.” But what? I don’t get it.

To me, this is the same market as the Avon Charmed Peacock, only more brand-conscious, which certainly is not a marker of quality. I guess it’s obvious that branding is everything but that always bugs me and I like to complain about it. :)

Just looks so cheap & nasty, although of course it’s anything but inexpensive! We were visiting friends in Seattle in 2014 (I’ve known said friend longer than I’ve known my husband, & we’ve been together for 34 years!) & of course I went to Nordstrom, where I had a lovely chat with the Bond No. 9 salesperson & he recommended High Line based on what I told him I liked – I wish I’d just bought it there & then as it’s so expensive here in the UK, never mind that I’d have to go to London to get it & these days (& for many years) I travel with just hand luggage so it wouldn’t be feasible anyway.
