It's Almost-Friday, and World UFO Day, and don't forget July is National Ice Cream Month! (Plus, Donatella will be stopping by shortly.) Birthdays today: Thurgood Marshall, Larry David, Jerry Hall. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Hermes Vanille Galante, from Erin's 5 Perfumes: Ylang Ylang.
Reminder: on 7/3, wear a perfume with ylang ylang, if you have one.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2020, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I am wearing the wonderful Marions-Nous by Oriza L.Legrand. It’s a classic aldehydic floral and probably my favourite of the line.
Tea is Swan Lake, again. Not sure whether I really like it or not. But it’s interesting.
I’m adding Marions-Nous to my to-sample list!
Do you think it makes a good wedding scent? (Aldehydic floral does sound charmingly wedding-y.)
If you like retro aldehydic florals, yes I think it would. Plus it comes in a gorgeous bottle with tassels.
Nostalgie by Sonoma Scent Studio is also a retro-style aldehydic floral, and it would make a lovely wedding perfume, IMO.
Perfume is better with tassles!
I’m not much of a bottle lover but I’m ridiculously fond of tassles, so yes I agree.
Those tassels make the 100mL bottles a lot more appealing than they would be otherwise.
I am wearing Lush Jungle body spray -cCypress, ylang, vetiver. And I washed with Lush Sex Bomb shower gel earlier (jasmine, clary sage, ylang). Lush perfumers seem to love ylang.
And I have just got an email from Sylvaine Delacourt on ylang. ? Do they read NST? ?
I got the same one and wondered myself…or if they saw me poking around on Fragrantica.
It’s a conspiracy! We are being watched!!
Off perfume topic but on topic – most of the shoes I see on IG ads are … green which is my favorite color ?
How odd! I never get shoe ads on IG–only jewellery ads, ha ha!
What a beautiful picture.
I’m in Samsara edp for ylang, jasmine and gorgeous sandalwood. I have a cute mini from a generous NSTer (you know who you are☺️) and the formulation is different from my full bottle. It’s better, smoother. It’s really working for me today. We are supposed to hit 90 today with 90% humidity so either I am brave…or foolish. Lol. Only time will tell.
My daughter doesn’t start her job til next week so we’ll be able to go up north for the 4th. Even though there is no parade, there will still be fireworks. It’s gonna be hot there too, so perfect beach weather. My favorite little beach is not well known so sometimes we luck out and have it all to ourselves.?
You smell exquisite. I wanted to wear Samsara this week, but it is hot and I am not so brave as you are. 🙂
Thanks! I’ll spend most of my day in the AC, so it should be okay.?
You are indeed brave!
My high humidity starts tommorow. I hope you get the beach to yourself. Happy 4th of July!
Thanks!
I hope so too, but even if we don’t it’s never very crowded and people are chill.
Happy 4th to you and your family! Hope you don’t have to work. My son is working up north and living with my parents for the summer so I’ll get a visit with him too.?
Oh yay! I’m glad he’s with them and you can visit!
I will be working the whole weekend, but I don’t mind.. really.
samsara..bliss
I will wear that one domani!
Samsara always makes me think of you.☺️ Songes and Shalimar too!
I have a thing for S perfumes ! HA
Samsara is one I might wear…given I’ll likely be in AC most of the day. I too have a little decant from an NSTer.
I don’t have many perfumes with ylang, but this is the first one that came to mind so I saved it for a non work day. Mostly AC for me too. NSTers are the best!?
I hope your beach is empty and the sun shines all weekend for you.
Aww, thanks sistine!?Hope you have a great weekend too!
You smell great!!!!!! I have a vintage mini as well and I need to wear it more.
That all sounds wonderful! Looks like we are mostly going to skip the 4th this year.
Samsara is gorgeous! Enjoy your holiday plans!
I’m wearing Frederic Mall Bois d’Orage aka French Lover, from a sample. I like it well enough that I may have to get a decant.
Check eBay…used to be pretty easy to find FM minis!
Mon Précieux Nectar
Thrift store find : dress with ? lemons
Pretending I am in the Mediterranean
Finished the Ferrante series
Don’t I wish I were there with you!
Yes! What perfume would you wear, clothing, oh god..what would we be drinking..??
Mentally packing my bags.
See you at the airport
Sounds lovely and makes me want to wear Dirty Lemon by Heretic. Boy is that one a gorgeous calming and interest capturing scent. I am ‘lemonning’?? it.
You are on ? ? ?
?
L-o capital L!? Have you ever seen the ad for that one? Naughty.?
going to look up the ad..
Just yesterday I was huffing an old sample of Mon Precieux Nectar. Love the lush sweetness of it.
I’ve been thinking of getting a dress with lemons on it for ages. I think I saw one at Kate Spade but I didn’t pull the trigger. Lemon dresses seem so happy 🙂
Now you have to watch the miniseries!
Yes…
Slept so hard it was like swimming to the surface.
We have been blessed with very cool nights for over a week. Still have a job, not furloughed yet. And did make mani pedi appt for tomorrow.
Post shower the last of my Eve sample. I tried Frost yesterday but there was no love.
Started watching Lennox Hill on Netflix the other night. It’s wonderful. When I was about 7? My grandmother had surgery there. I remember a dark brick building with small waiting room.
I love nights when I sleep well..
I had not heard of Lennox Hill and added to list, thanks apsara!
“Slept so hard it was like swimming to the surface.” a wonderful, apt description…I also hadn’t heard of this series but does look good…thanks!
It’s my day off and I am getting my oil changed. Free chocolate cookies are no longer offered, dang it! My Governor re-shutdown indoor bars yesterday. People can still drink outside. This plan won’t work in the winter here, I hope we are in a better place by then.
Sotd is Chanel Allure. I assumed it had ylang, but it looks like it does not. I smell great anyway ?
You do smell great. I love the peach note in that, and it’s just such a straightforward beautiful scent.
I’m curious about the eau Sensuelle, have you tried it?
No I haven’t. My bottle was either one my sister gifted me or one from my late mom. I had never tried it until I got the partially used bottle. Next time I am somewhere that has it I will sniff.
Chanel Allure is a pretty scent, I adore it.!!
I love Allure and looked it up earlier because I thought it has ylang, too. It’s such a pretty scent, it’s been getting a lot of wear lately.
Ahhhhh, that one was my signature scent in the 80’s for years & years. Go be glorious.
If you think it has ylang, I say, it’s the thought that counts! Fragrantica doesn’t list all the notes anyway ??♀️
Oh so true that they don’t! I’m taking points then!
Same for the bars here starting today. They are doing contact tracing and that seems to be where many of the new cases are originating. Fortunately my barfly days are loooong gone?, so I should be fine.
I would bet it’s been ten years since I’ve seen the inside of a “real” bar. I feel bad for the them, as so many will probably close permanently.
Oh I’m with you on the better place next winter. You smell great in Allure, enjoy your Friday, I now remember you’re always off Fridays ?
You might be annoyed about no free cookies with your oil change, but it is for the best.
Lavishly sprayed on Nomenclature Shi_So, to brave the hot temperature we are having today ?.
I am making a construction site visit early this afternoon for the first time since March. Not feeling so comfortable about it, but we are slowly trying to get back to “normal”. We are following all protocols, so everything should be ok.
Looking forward to the long holiday weekend! Yay! ?
Happy Thursday! ?
Hope the day goes well and safe!
Thanks Lillyjo! Enjoy your day off! ?
Hope the day goes well!
Thanks SmokeyToes!
Good luck later! At least it’s a nice day.
Thank you! At least is not raining today!
Have you tried a lot of perfumes from Nomenclature? What do you think of them?
I have only tried and own full bottles of Iri_Del and Shi_So. Iri_,Del is a nice, soft carroty iris. I like it, but it is very fleeting.
Shi_So is a great yuzu scent. Bright, sparkly and very refreshing. It has an unbelievable longevity and good sillage. I enjoy it a lot.
Thanks!
In LADDM as I finish up some little cleaning projects. I have a couple errands that I get done by this afternoon. I am thinking either Courtesan or maybe even no 19. It’s going to be really hot for the next few days.
I adore LADDM – you smell wonderful!
I love LADDM in heat. The bloom is moderate and it’s bone dry. Which is a good thing with humidity.
You smell lovely!
Hi all, happy almost Friday!
My SOTD is Samsara extrait by Guerlain (dabbed, so it doesn’t bloom too much) – it’s cool in SF today, I think it will be perfect and not overwhelm.
I’m bleary eyed from another night of fireworks. 😯 I put the insomnia to good use by finishing my book, The Late Show by Michael Connelly, fast-paced and excellent read. About to start the next in the series, Dark Sacred Night. Kindred by Octavia Butler is next, when it is available through SFPL. 🙂
I will be in Samsara tomorrow. I also have the extraict, somewhere…
Guerlain twins!
Enjoy your books!
Wish you were closer so we could exchange.
During the shut down, I became like a library, and lent out so many books to friends, and now waiting for some of them to be returned, since I didn’t read all the ones I gave out.
Nice! I may wear Samsara again tomorrow, depending on how warm it is. I am interested in starting the series you just completed.
*sigh* my must-read list grows ever longer, that’s what I get for working in a library! I wish we were closer, exchanging books and vintage clothing shopping would be at the top of the list!
I will wear Samsara then.
Almost twin!? I’m in the edp, I bet the extrait is fantastic!
I enjoyed The Late Show and the follow up. You reminded me that Connelly has a new book out, so I reserved it at the library. Heh. I’m like 157 in line for 35 electronic copies.
Being #157 in line sounds daunting.. I’ve been on waiting lists that moved pretty quickly!
oh, i like Octavia Butler. i read Kindred, which is good, but i loved the Xenogenesis series more.
Another scorcher, but I’m wearing Mitzah anyway since it was a gift from a friend I’m meeting for lunch today, our first restaurant outing since the plague hit. It should be interesting.
Enjoy!?
Have fun and stay safe!
Have fun! You smell wonderful.
I hope your lunch goes well.
Thanks! It was fun and it was nice to be out doing something normal.
Oh good!
In an effort to convince myself that it really is a work day, I am wearing two VCA Office Specials: Orchidée Vanille and Bois d’Iris.
I bet those smell wonderful together!
Agree. That combo sounds nice.
You smell great…I have both of those too! 🙂
Mohur by Neela Vermiere today, four big sprays.
This is my favorite perfume of all time. I recently noticed that the fill line is still in the neck, after years of owning a full bottle, and I resolved to wear it often and lavishly. No point saving it for special days. (Also, I used to be a timid one-sprayer, but quarantine and social distancing has changed that!)
I’ve upped my wearing to 8 sprays – doesn’t matter which perfume ?
Love it!!
You smell fabulous again ? spraying with wild abandon is so nice sometimes.
Oooh, you smell like heaven. Spritz away!
You smell wonderful 🙂 Being at home all the time with a scent-phobic fiance has made me a more timid sprayer. Oh well.
maybe you can desensitize him?
Wearing Zoologist Hummingbird today, which does contain ylang. It smells so good!
My husband’s garden is flourishing in the heat. Sorry if I’ve already talked about it here, but he built a rabbit fence around it and has used all these tips he’s picked up from watching gardening shows on PBS, I’m really proud of him. He planted six jalapeño plants, lol & omg…..they are prolific and while we love them, that’s a LOT of peppers! Not sure what to do with them all.
Nice to have homegrown veggies although I wouldn’t touch jalapeño – too hot for me!
Has he grown his facial hair back or was that someone else’s hubby?
No that was me, and yes, the mustache is back! Another week or two it should be back in full ??
I love the name Hummingbird for a perfume! How would you descirbe it?
Growing one’s own food is so satisfying. I definitely couldn’t have a veggie garden without a good fence to keep out both rabbit and deer. The rabbits are everywhere this summer, so the foxes should show up soon.
Zoologist perfumes are all supposed to have something to do with the animal name’s habitat, if I remember correctly. Hummingbird isn’t my usual kind of perfume, I smell maraschino cherries, cream, some musk, some other fruits and florals. It’s really good.
Oh good for him! Our fence is not groundhog proof, we have lost a lot of produce this year 🙂
But we had enough lettuce for us AND the groundhogs this year, and last night ate our first batch of green beans.
Our local food bank takes extra produce, but even then not sure you will find takers for that many jalapenos 😉
Jalapenos freeze well! Just remove them stems, and seeds if you want less heat, then buzz them up in a blender or food processor. The puree can easily last a year when frozen.
“The” stems. Ooopsie.
That’s brilliant, thank you! I always freeze bell peppers and cook with them all winter but I’m inexperienced with hot peppers. We’re going to trying smoking and drying some too.
I’m wearing Fils de dieu du riz et des agrumes today. Wow, it is just so perfect sometimes. I’m so glad I got this bottle free during the ELDO Black Friday sale!
Be safe, healthy and calm. This gorgeous scent is making me feel all of those things.
Free is how I like my perfume! And you do smell great sistine.
Felt so good to get a haircut! And the people in my place are so nice. It’s a big space, and they never feel full, so I had no issues. I was too ambitious in February with short bangs and layers. Didn’t care for how it looked, but it certainly served me well in the lockdown. All he had to do was clean up the now-long layers.
Terracotta today. I figured it must have Ylang-ylang. Yep. I sometimes get a plastic note at the opening but that was less noticeable today.
Made my peach tart yesterday. I think next time I’ll pile on more peaches – it’s very good, but flatter than I’d prefer.
Oh…and back to Rabbiting on the first day of the month. No more for me. I never remembered in the past, but did the past few months. So…I’m Now fully in the “this is bad luck” camp. I’m going back to blissful forgetfulness.
Did they charge you an extra Covid fee? I heard places are now tacking on extra fees for this.
No. I tipped well and will tip well again next time.
Good for you! My husband really needs to stick to his day job, my hair is longer on one side than the other, LOL…
Yay for a haircut and somewhat-flat-but-I-am-guessing-still-delicious peach tart. 🙂
Good to hear that your haircut went well! ✂
I don’t fit the CP today but I do smell warm and fuzzy in Arielle Shoshana Sunday. I woke up feeling a bit nauseated, so I needed something to settle my stomach. It’s helping a bit.
It’s my birthday month! I informed the fiance that he needed to give me a present every day of the month, but he says presents every day of the birthday month aren’t a thing and that the request is outrageous, the cad. I’ll keep trying to get him to see reason.
Any tips for how to make the most of the upcoming three-day weekend for two people locked at home with only each other? I’d love to do something more special than just have a two-person cookout and/or a lawn picnic.
Tell him he’s lucky you didn’t ask for something for every day of your birthday quarter. Here at hajusuuri’s place, every day is eligible for a birthday gift ?.
As to what to do, maybe do up a picnic and drive to a favorite (not crowded) place?
1. Go into separate parts of the house and make each other surprise gifts using found objects
2. Pick a favourite piece of music, maybe one you want at your wedding, and choreograph an entire dance of epic moves ( or learn one from youtube) …you can perform it at your wedding
3. Recreate a July 4, 1776 meal, no electricity , and try and dress appropriately and eat by candlelight
4. Read the Declaration of ndependence and discuss
5. Plant a tree and bury a covid 19 time capsule under it
Kanuka! I love all of this! Gosh, I should’ve sought your advice for quarantine special activities for months! Thanks!!! I’ll see how many of these we can do 🙂
Hilarious!
Kanuka, you are *good*.
SotD = Eau des Merveilles + Eau des Minimes
I’m wearing two scents because I put on one, ate breakfast, got dressed, then grabbed another bottle. Ah, well, I guess I shouldn’t make any important decisions or go base jumping today.
Time for a walk. I’m tending a friend’s Australian cattle dog, and she loves long walks, getting things done, and taking orders. It’s the life of a working dog, and it’s a good life. 😉
Happy Thursday, I’m thankful for all of you.
You smell doubly good. Enjoy your day with the dog.
thank you, Aurora! It was a good day for doggo and me. We went to the doggie beach for a walk and a swim. 🙂
Love cattle dogs. Always amusing when herding dogs try to herd humans.
ha! yes, that’s always fun, and this one tries to herd other dogs too. Doesn’t usually work well. 🙂
Yes to Hermès and Yes to Thankful Thursday! And my spell check seems to have gotten smarter as I don’t recall the accent on Hermès!
excellent! even spell check can learn new tricks, so it’s not too late for me 🙂
LOL, I have done that! Fortunately not with scents that clashed badly.
hee hee, yes I’m glad I accidentally layered two Eau de scents. They worked together quite nicely. 😀
Such a sweet post.♥️ My 7 year old daughter desperately wants a dog or cat but has quite lost interest in the fish tank we set up a couple months ago. ?
sounds about right 😉 at my house we have a goldfish because a neighbor was moving and their kids had lost interest. He showed up on my doorstep with the poor thing in a plastic bag, my kids saw it and said “Yay! we’ll take care of it.” A few weeks later it was clearly my pet.
I don’t want to go base jumping ever!
actually, I feel the same way 😀
Robin, you smell lovely. In Balmain Ivoire modern version. Has ylang-ylang in the notes and mainly smells charmingly of cosmetic cream, an expensive one, too.
Ooh, good to know!
Annie, I find it easy to wear, slightly powdery, less difficult to find than the first Ivoire (it too is discontinued though, so there is no Ivoire in production, sigh?).
Perfect description of Ivoire.
I’m having a Covid-related ongoing anxiety attack. Things have gone from bad to worse here in Houston. I hope our other Houston peeps here are all right. You know it’s bad when Galveston has closed all of its beaches and parking areas for the holiday weekend. I wish I could move to a more sane place right now.
Oh no! I hope your Zoom call with mom and brother went well yesterday. Maybe the bright side is no hurricane?
Another reason I’m so down. Mom was not at all well in the call yesterday. I mean, the call itself went all right, but her dementia has worsened, and there’s not much surprising in that after four months of being locked down. My brother wants to find a way to get her out but I’m not sure how or where or what could be done to keep her safer than where she is now. Even my limited coming and going, not to mention that of any staff we’d need to have for helpers, would put her at risk as much as where she is now, perhaps even more. Sorry for non-perfume-related moaning. Thank you.
This is so difficult. I’m sorry you’re going through it. Sending you comforting hugs <3
So sorry about your mother’s worsening condition. You obviously have given the situation a lot of thought.
That’s an incredibly difficult situation to be in Calypso. Hugs.
I’m so sorry to hear about your mom’s situation. She’s probably safer where she is now than any other place where you have to source for a caregiver.
A young colleague with whom I work every day is in the Houston area. She usually lives and works in DC, but moved back home when the virus hit so she could be with her family and her new husband, who had stayed in Texas for work (our office went entirely remote the first week of March). She and her family are also really feeling the pressure and the worry.
I am so sorry Calypso. It does sound like the home is doing all it can to keep your mum safe and at least all the staff are familiar , I guess.
The beaches are closed in CA too from what I’ve heard. Stay home and tell yourself you are safe there. I’m really sorry about your mom, this situation is just so bad for our elderly family members.
Hi Calypso, so sorry about worries for your mom. Such a difficult time. A friend here hasn’t been able to see her mom (who has dementia also) for months. It was really hard for her mom when they locked down – no visitors at all. But, they seem to have gotten through it for now and she’s traveling to see her mom soon. I guess outdoor visits will be allowed now.
We had the really scary time early here in NYC, and I’d say just staying close to home and doing the proper things will keep you safe. You can’t control other people, but you can control what you allow around you.
I am so sorry Calypso. It must be so hard to make any decision about your mom.
I am really glad they are closing the beach, and they ought to be doing that here but they’re not.
I hope that the bars aren’t open down the Shore this weekend!
Seriously.
Hang in there, Calypso. 🙁 I’m sorry your mom is not doing well. Big hugs to you. I can’t give better advice than LizzieB above I don’t think. Please stay safe.
Was planning to wear Boy, but this cool summer morning led me astray–in fact to Timbuktu (“And back again. I’d risk everything, for one kiss, everything! Yes, I’d do anything. (ANYTHING?) Anything, for youuuuuuu. . . .”)
Ha, I forgot that lyric! Perfect.
Happy Friday Eve Everyone!
My SOTD is Vesca by Henny Faire Co.
Believe me when I say a litlly bit goes a LONG way…lol.
Notes include: Strawberry leaves, rose de mai, galbanum, and Haitian vetiver.
Very unique rose fragrance.
Oh that does sound interesting. Very fruity?
We are fogged in here at my house today… I am listening to the trees drip fog on the roof. Very peaceful. I’m off work for the rest of the week, yesssss. And according to the water company, we don’t have water, but we DO, so I got caught up on the dishes. (Makes up for the day before when they said we would have water but we DIDN’T. For 24 hours.) They claim they will finish all the repairs today. Hope so, hauling buckets of water to the bathrooms is old already.
SOTD is Anthousa Fig & Vetiver. Very soft scent, mostly fig and florals on me.
I’m glad you have water again.
Don’t tell them it’s back on, maybe you won’t get a bill, lol.
Oh yay for running water!
Hope that your water STAYS on!
Couleur Vanilla for me today.
Feels like Friday but it’s Thursday! Off tomorrow, yay!
(Almost) flourless chocolate cake in the oven for my husband’s birthday today. Smells so good. We’ll have this after a lovely dinner of brick oven pizza, his favorite.
Happy birthday to the husband!!
Thanks! Heading out for pizza now.
Happy birthday Mr. Floragal! Or Floraguy? Or…
Thanks!
I love everything about this post…vanilla, pizza and flourless chocolate cake.
How do you like Couleur Vanille…it’s on my try list 😉 …
Yes, pizza & chocolate cake you can’t go wrong.
The scent is OK. I’ll finish this decant but won’t consider more. It turns tonka-ish on me for some reason. It takes a good 6–7 sprays to last through the day.
This is good intel…thanks! The position has been lowered appropriately on my list. 😉
Since we ran out of nested comments —
Tonka to me smells like sweet toasted earth (not soil but brownish, if colors can have smell)
Also, per Jalapeno below: “vanilla adjacent”
And it just went higher on my list.
It’s the tonka! But how would you describe the scent of tonka pls? I am *still* sadly not that great at picking out notes without guidance.
I’d call tonka “vanilla-adjacent”.
And happy birthday to the hubs!
Happy Birthday to your husband! Sounds like a great dinner.
???
Happy Birthday to your hubby floragal!
Decided to wear three sprays of Aromatics Elixir, which also contains ylang, although i cant smell it.
I did get a very short haircut yesterday, because i saw a salon opening in the morning and just asked, if they could give me a quick haircut. it was dirt cheap, just 25Euro and the cut is quite nice. Now i have all my bleached blonde cut away and now try to embrace my grey. Saves me time and money too.
I did that a few years ago, so nice not to have to deal with the colour any more.
Welcome to the grey club! My hair cutter yesterday told me he likes mine. Good, smart man.
I’ve probably got plenty of things with ylang ylang, but haven’t been quite focused enough to look. L’Heure Bleue for me today.
Hope the sun is out today. Frosty here at last.
Rahele!
So good!
Amelie Mae, ylang ylang and raspberry and rose…sweet!
Never heard of that one but it sounds delightful!
Lush!
Sampling Dame Peach Blossom, Violet & Vanilla today….nice but maybe needs more vanilla. 😉
Ha, of course I thought of more cowbell…
Guess what? more cowbell err vanilla appears in the drydown…wafting nicely now…woohoo!
🙂
Second entry today…. stopped up at a Korean beauty place that reopened yesterday. Unfortunately the items on sale online were not on sale in the store. Since they aren’t needs, I didn’t bother. Stores will have to figure some things out going forward. I was interested in some of their scented body lotions, but no testers obviously. And nothing behind the counter where the SA could control access. So…no sale.
Stopped in Bloomies across the street after. Chanel SA sprayed a few items on cards for me. The Guerlain SA was very nice. Made me samples of AA Ginger Piccante and Bergamot. And, she gave me a very pretty hot pink and white cloth tote bag to carry them in. They do custom bottling of some of the scents there also. Limited inventory but pleasant experience.
Today I received my first-ever sample order from Aedes. Wow, was that ever beautifully packaged! Color me very impressed. They also slipped in 3 extra samples! ??
SOTD = Heeley Eau Sacree Extrait de Parfum, from the sample stash. Yay for incense! ?
So glad to hear they still do beautiful packages.
And pretty sure they did my first sample order ever! Way back in 2003 or something.
And it didn’t take long for the package to arrive, either.
I’m wearing Tendre Madeleine today, and am smelling delicious.
It sounds delicious!
SOTD = Christian Dior Dune
I was following in SmokeyToes’ footsteps from yesterday! I will check out what’s happening over at Donatella’s perfume confessional.
Back in the office this week so I’m ‘fume-free during the days. Sprayed on lots of Bronze Goddess tonight in an attempt to chase the rain away. Let’s hope summer shows up soon!
I’m back to wfh next week so will be spraying myself silly.
