Dolce & Gabbana have launched Velvet Mughetto, a new fruity floral addition to the brand's Velvet series. The last was Velvet Oriental Musk.
Velvet Mughetto has been imagined as an allegory of the Sicilian spring: the mild temperatures awakening the island’s landscape and its delicate yet colourful blossoms.
The scent opens with sparkling citrus top notes of Italian bergamot essence. Cassis adds a dark fruity facet, while pink pepper brings a spicy, rosy note. At the heart of the fragrance, comes Lily of the Valley, the delicate woodland flower that gives the scent its name. Warmed by the balmy rays of the Sicilian sun, it blends with creamy magnolia and earthy patchouli to reveal a generous blooming bouquet. This finally gives way to milky, sensual base notes of warm and resinous sandalwood and cashmeran wood, which capture the light of the island’s sun at its highest.
Velvet Mughetto was developed by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur.
Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Mughetto is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.
