Parfum d’Empire Salute, Immortelle Corse & Acqua di Scandola ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 7 November 2019 13 Comments

French niche line Parfum d’Empire has launched Salute, Immortelle Corse and Acqua di Scandola. The three new fragrances join Corsica Furiosa and Eau de Gloire in the Heritage Corse collection.

Salute ~ "A tribute to the hospitality of Corsica and to its vineyards. This fresh eau based on vine leaves and wine dregs extract is livened by citrus. A powdery breeze of iris and musks evokes the angel’s share. The depth of oak casks anchors it in the island’s terroir..." Additional notes for the green woody citrus include mandarin. $110 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Immortelle Corse ~ "The emblem of the Corsican maquis, immortelle is highlighted by flame-colored ingredients - saffron, apricot and lemon - before fully expressing its fiery nature in woody, fruity, liquory, spicy, facets... The quintessence of a land set ablaze by the sun." A spicy oriental. $175 for 50 ml Extrait de Parfum.

Acqua di Scandola ~ (released in 2018 in limited distribution) "Scandola is a Corsican peninsula only reachable by the sea. Acqua di Scandola is a challenge: to offer a different expression of the sea in perfumery thanks to a special algae extract with clear and salty facets. Iodic, aromatic and mineral." The notes for the aromatic marine fragrance include algae, juniper berry and oakmoss. $110 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Parfum d'Empire Salute, Immortelle Corse and Acqua di Scandola can be found now at Beautyhabit.

I’ve heard about these 3 a little while ago but I had to keep my mouth shut. Now I’m waiting for all three to arrive at my doorstep.

Love the bottles! The notes sound good except algae in the last one!

It’s their new bottle design. And they won’t have 100 ml anymore from now on.

They don’t look nearly as cheap as the last iteration. I thought the original bottles were nicest.

2 of them almost meet the perfumista definition of “free” being under $100! I do appreciate that – will be sure to test.

Exactly — in perfumista math they are $10 a pop.

I got to smell these in August, my favourite is the immortelle, although the Salute was nice too.

Hi cazaubon, did you notice any immortelle or cumin in the Salute? The last time I blind bought a PdE, it was Yuzu Fou, and it had too much cumin.

I don’t remember any cumin in it.

I love these new bottles, and I like most of the Parfum d’Empires. Still want bottles of Wazamba, Cuir d’Ottoman and Le Cri de la Lumière. Really small bottles would be plenty.
