Happy Tuesday! It's also International Country Music Day and Constitution Day. (Plus, the swapmeet is open for the rest of the day.) What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm still at the beach. No perfume, but smelling like a creamsicle in Weleda Sea Buckthorn lotion. Tea at the moment is some very basic Irish Breakfast with a dash of cinnamon.
Reminder: on 9/20, wear a fragrance by Laboratorio Olfattivo, Lubin, La Via del Profumo, Les Parfums de Rosine or Liquides Imaginaires, if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter L.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the Ocean Jellyfish teapot by Hering Berlin is $614 (ouch!) at TableArt.
I’m wearing Paestum Rose, which I’ve been trying to find for a while. I’ve wanted a decant, but couldn’t get it at either STC or TPC. Finally I got an email from Scent Split about a sale, and found it there. I bought a 6ml decant. It was worth the blind buy. I’m really enjoying it. On my skin it started out as a very peppery rose. I’m looking forward to the rest of it’s development.
Just looked it up. What a promising sounding scent!
Ooh, thanks for the tip – I did not know about that site and was able to finally take Paestum Rose and Fat Electrician off my wish list! 6 ml is a lovely amount.
I really like that one & have been out of it for ages. If they sold a travel bottle I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
Oh, cool teapot but a bit out of my price range.
SOTD is AG Ninfeo Mio because it was mentioned yesterday and because of the weather. I won’t go into how ridiculous it it, but yesterday I looked at the temps arcross the US and it shook me right down to my DNA. Scary.
The flip side is I got some good news yesterday! To celebrate, I upgraded my old iPhone to a new one, so I’m excited to get it.
It’s ironic today is National Constitution Day. That’s about all i can say without getting political. ?
Happy Tuesday fragrant folk!
scent twins
Congratulations on your good news and new phone! I got a tax refund yesterday, woohoo!
Thank you! Congrats on the tax refund?? Any funds going towards new fragrances? Enquiring minds, ya know..?
I’m going to a Guerlain event Friday, as well as sniffing at the local niche shop, Etiket, so we shall see!
Yay for good news. And new tech is always fun.
? on the good news!
Glad to hear about the good news. Enjoy your new phone!
And I can’t say a word back to your comment about National Constitution Day without being political
SOTD is Profumi del Forte’s Corpi Caldi…I think it is full-bottle worthy.
I’m drinking my usual Stash Chi Green Tea.
Do tell us more!
Yes, tell us more! It sounds interesting.
Yes do tell!
Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio and a cup of Gunpowder Green tea
Hey twin, I like the sound of that tea! Explosive! ?
It is very tasty. Here is the description on the paper bag it came in:
“This lightly rolled tea is subtly pan-fired to make a lighter cup and mellow taste, and blossoms with a touch of honey.”
typo — I should’ve typed “tightly rolled tea”
Gunpowder tea is fascinating. One of my bosses brought some in and let me watch what it does.
Wait — did I miss something? I put the tea leaves into strainer thing, and then poured hot water over it. I will have to do a search on gunpowder tea now
they just unfurl, which is nice to watch when they can float around freely.
I drink gunpowder with mint almost every afternoon and I never knew it did anything either!
I am wearing Bengale Rouge today (my sample arrived in mail this afternoon).
To me its a cosy cuddly comfort scent Its exactly the smell i need to have on me or a scarf when standing in the cold rain, waiting for a bus or whatever….
Anxiously waiting for my sample too. Sounds lovely.
Just watched a video review and it does sound amazing. Give us an update when you sample it!
I unintentionally pre-ordered a bottle. I was able to put the bottle into the cart, finished, then read they are taking “pre-orders” now, and the bottle will be shipped end of October. D’oh! ?♀️
Woke up this morning to Mitsouko (current version) to say goodbye to my aunt. Wearing Hedonist today while looking at the travel set for Hedonist. I forgot how lovely it is. I think that I did have a liking for the rose flanker of Hedonist but haven’t smelled the cassis yet. Three 15 ml travel sprays for $135 on Luckyscent but I still am debating on this travel set, Avignon and Lonestar Memories are the three I am torn between.
I fell in love with the original when it came out- both the scent and the bottle. Would you be interested in splitting a travel set?
I started the day testing a free sample that came with a recent purchase, L’Aromarine 1936 Special for the ‘L” . It was just a basic vanilla scent so I washed it off and sprayed some Datura Noir. Ahh, that’s much better! I wanted to watch part 2 of the country music documentary on PBS last night but just didn’t make it. I hope they run it again soon.
Gosh, it’s been ages since I’ve smelled a L’Aromarine scent. All I can remember is thinking that one of them smelled an awful lot like root beer, in a good way, and that the labels were pretty.
You smell narcotically pretty in Datura Noir!
For an inexpensive perfume, it was well done. Thanks Lisa!
Wearing Beige to book club this afternoon.
that was my wedding perfume.
you smell lovely
I thought about you when I put it on, because I remembered you saying it was your wedding perfume. Oh, and the book we are discussing is “The Home for Unwanted Girls” by Joanna Goodman.
SOTD Cire Trudon Bruma which works perfectly with today’s sunny, mild weather. I think I can add this to the weekend “sweet” poll. I think this is a beautiful perfume, but would probably like it even more if it were a tad less sweet (and amped up lavender). I might try layering over some lavender lotion next time.
You smell great Elisa P!
Thanks Robin ?
That’s exactly how I feel about Caron Pour Un Homme.
Yep, same here with that one. Less sweet and less powder.
Cap Neroli for a day full of meetings. (First up is a monthly lunch meeting, which I actually look forward to because it’s usually good food!)
Today’s tea is Republic of Tea’s Republic Chai.
I took a lampworking class over the weekend and made 10 glass beads. Just went to pick them up yesterday, as they needed a few hours in the kiln. They’re really lovely! I’m wearing three of them on a necklace today.
I’ve made glass beads before, it’s fun!
Congrats on your beads! Sounds like a really fun class.
I have to try Cap Neroli
You seem to love that one
It’s my new favorite no-brainer neroli. Sophisticated and super easy to wear.
That’s sounds like fun. I didn’t even know you could do that! Do you have any previous glass working experience?
I’ve never worked with glass before, but I started making jewelry as a teenager and that got me interested in learning to work with glass and metal. So now I can check glass off the list! Metalworking is still on the to-do
Your class sounds like fun!
I used to collect lampwork beads, hoping to have time to make them into jewelry. I still have them so the jewelry making is not out of the picture yet but I have other priorities atm.
It was! I’m already signed up for level 2.
I’m also struggling with the “having other priorities” when it comes to actually *making* things out of all the lovely rocks and beads I’ve purchased. They’re sitting in my jewelry-making supply box, waiting…
That’s so cool and inspiring and wish I could see them! I always have grand plans, but I’m also a procrastinator. I’ve been making simple semi-precious stone bracelets- the elasticized kind so they’re a no brainer to make, but there are so many beautiful stones and beads out there!
Tne lampworking sounds really interesting.
That should have read The lampworkig class…
Tea is almond milk cappuccino made by my 2 littles ones even the most of the coffee grounds didn’t make it into the coffee machine. .
Dear Donatella, whom always forgives. I bought a new bottle of coco off evil bay and that is also my SOTD
in a thrift store dress today with is basically prints of Italian newspapers..
ciao amici
Too cute and your dress sounds amazing!
Every time I wear this dress I get lots of complementi!
Ben fatto LTSG!
Wearing copious amounts of Bruno Fazzolari Feu Secret and I can hardly smell it. A very discreet scent.
Money saved? or do you actually like discreet scents
Unfortunately I bought it blind, so I’m just going to use it up and not repurchase. It smells nice, just too faint.
Interesting. One of the things I like about Feu Secret is the amazing smoky sillage.
I love everything about Feu Secret – it has more than adequate sillage and staying power on me (lucky me, I guess).
Oh that’s fascinating, its not huge on me but its definitely there with two sprays from a sample vial.
Well, it could be my hormonal nose – with menopause I have gone through phases when everything smells too strong, and times when I can hardly smell anything at all. I will try it again later and see if I get a different result.
Ugh. This is starting to happen to me. I can’t deal with anything heavy these days- and it’s not the weather. And I’m having drastic love/hate changes with certain notes.
Would guess you are anosmic to something in there or having a problem with olfactory fatigue?
I think it’s hormonal.
L’Artisan Safran Troublant for a warm, sunny, beautiful day.
You smell perfect!
Thank you! ?
I still cherish a decant you kindly sent me a year or so ago? It’s almost gone, and I might just need my own bottle!
It is definitely full bottle worthy!
Oh, and I’m looking for recommendations on an aquatic rose – like DS & Durga Rose Atlantic but more fresh rose. Any ideas? I need to find out the name of those wild roses that grow on the atlantic coast and see if I can buy some of that rose essential oil.
I’ve layered Marni Rose with JM Wood Sage & Sea Salt with decent results. It was while I was frantically searching for something like Lostmarc’h Iroaz (unfind-able, or I would recommend that one).
Wish I could find that Iroaz too!
I feel like Jessica had reviewed a beachy rose perfume or two in the last six months or so. Maybe try and search/read through some of her reviews?
Oh, it appears to be MCMC Perfumes Maine that I remember her reviewing.
Aha!! I was just thinking about buying that one, will check for her review.
Rosine Ecume de Rose was a great beachy rose back in the day.
I think the roses you are referring to are Rosa rugosa and they smell heavenly. They have naturalized all over the coast of Rhode Island and I always look forward to the smell of salt air and these roses.
Yup, I’d agree with that identification, and expand the range to say “naturalized over a considerable amount of the Atlantic coast of North America.” I’m using USDA climate zones here, but I’d say probably north to Zone 4 and south at least through Zone 7.
The one that’s presumed to be the species or close to it has pink flowers with a delicious clove scent, and hips that are like tomatoes in color and shape. “Rugosa” comes from the wrinkles in their leaves. As noted above, they’re hardy temperature-wise, and less bothered by some harmful insects and diseases than various other sorts of roses. Bees love the flowers. They rebloom during the summer.
If you’re considering one for a garden, keep in mind that some varieties of rugosa rose grow 8′ tall and 6′ wide, and most of them are extremely prickly. Some of the cultivars are considerably less hardy than the species. One I think is very pretty is the ‘Alba’ variant on that original pink one. The flowers also have that lovely clove scent. Not all of the hybrids have that fragrance.
Try Rose Shot by Olfactive Studio. It. is. beautiful.
Wearing an old favorite, in anticipation of fall weather, although we are supposed to have 80’s here all week. by Killian Amber Oud. Yummy. Shortly after I came here, I was sent a sample of this by a generous NSTer, and as soon as I sniffed it, I knew I had come to the right place.
Awwww..
Good morning Y’all!
Did an easy reach for Prada Infusion d’Iris….it’s always the right choice!
Have a great day fragrant friends!
Air conditioning working yet?
That’s my question! How can anyone be expected to work in these temperatures with no A/C in GEORGIA?! I would literally die. Jada, I hope your chugging some ice cold Mountain Dew! Maybe some ice packs to your ground and axilla .. ?
*groin and axilla! Spellcheck must die..! ?
The AC is working so well that I have a sweatshirt on! HA HA HA And I am perfectly OK with that!
It got up to 83 in here….almost nauseating to sit here all day, but all is well again!
PS: Just added a fleece blanket to wrap up in….I wonder how long until the unit freezes up and breaks down again???
Why is AC always set at uncomfortable temperatures? I know the anser but it bugs me.
Woke up still smelling the Lolita Lempicka I wore to bed last night, and decided to just carry on with it today. Today will unfortunately be full of laundry and household chores.
Cool teapot, but the price is crazy. I’ve never thought to put cinnamon in tea, will have to try it. My cuppa this morning was Kusmi St. Petersburg. I don’t usually repurchase reas, with the exception of Yorkshire Gold and Twinings Strong English breakfast, but will probably end up getting another tin of the St. Petersburg.
Teas, obviously, not reas.
St Petersburg is one of my favourite teas as well! I have a whole vat and I think I will repurchase as well (I already used up a small tin and after that I bought a large one).
Its seriously good stuff.
I wore LL to bed last night too!
?
over the weekend I cleaned my tea cabinet..I found a few in the back that I haven’t drank in awhile!
I’m doing the same thing.
I buy cassia chunks from Penzeys, and put one in the bottom of my cup (and leave it there when I remove the tea leaves). My husband puts them in rooibos.
Ooh, what does cassia taste like?
Oh sorry it’s just a kind of cinnamon! I specified only because that is the one Penzeys sells in convenient little chunks.
Just looked these up, they sound great! I sprinkle cinnamon and /or nutmeg in lattes all the time. Never thought about cinnamon in breakfast tea before. There is a cinnamon based tea from Celestial Seasonings called Bengal Spice that I’m a big fan of. Great hot or iced.
The chunks are really nice to have for hot drinks — for anything else we use sticks or powder. I keep cardamom in a spice grinder for tea as well. My tea arrangements are kind of similar to my scenting arrangements, LOL…over the top.
St. Petersburg is my favourite Kusmi!
It’s the only Kusmi I’ve tried, but it’s so good. May have to see if they do samples.
I’m in Olfactive Studios Autoportrait today for its dry iris and incense vibe. We’ve been setting rainfall records here in the Pacific Northwest and the humidity, combined with my broken internal temperature regulatory system, is … annoying. To say the least. Hey, Weather Gods, when I said I was looking forward to autumn, I meant the sunny, cool and crisp kind, not the windy drippy kind. Sheez.
You have to be very specific when talking to weather gods. Don’t ever say, I hope we have a white Christmas, lol
Ha!
87 here yesterday. I’m just a hop, skip and a jump south of the Canadian border… The temperatures nationwide yesterday are beyond annoying and infuriating to me, having now entered the scary zone. ?
Come back to Oregon! We miss you, and I think it will be a while before we see temps above 60.
It is so humid and rainy! I was really looking forward to a drier start to Fall!
We are having that fabulous fall weather, come to Montréal!
I’ve always wanted to visit Montréal. The furthest east I’ve been in Canada is Alberta (drove up from Oregon about a thousand years ago, to watch a hockey game back when Wayne Gretzky was with the Edmonton team).
In Lutens Bas de Soie from an NST swapper–smelling of hyacinth, and weirdly I am also smelling lily of the valley. I wonder if there are chemical compounds the two flowers share ? LOTV is NOT listed in the notes.
Well I am all about celebrating Country Music Day. My husband and I have watched the first two episodes of Ken Burns’ country music documentary–it is so good.
I do have a caveat for Foxbins, that the program is a veritable landmine for ear worms. Stuck in my head at the moment?
Oh, no I never got over those blue eyes
I see them every where
I miss those arms that held me
When all the love was there
And we haven’t even gotten to Johnny Cash (although June Carter has made a couple of appearances already
)
Between the Ken Burns and the return of Great British Baking Show, it will be a good fall for TV.
I am wearing Bel Ami and I smell delicious.
You certainly do! Are you in vintage or current?
Vintage! I don’t even want to think about the new one, though someday I will have to as my mini is small.
Oh, so envious of you! I have a reasonable-sized decant of what I assume is reasonably current, and it’s nice, but I’ve always wanted to try vintage. Someday!
I’m wearing J’adore, from a mini. I will wear something else for work tonight. I’m in one of those perfume funks right now. Good thing I have the theme to Hello Larry in my head to cheer me up, lol?
Does anyone else remember that show? C’mon Portland people, I know you do! ?
I avoided that ear worm by never having heard of Hello Larry in my life!
Same here – I had to google it, and one of the first items that came up was an article entitled “Worst Television Theme Songs”. Guess I’m glad I missed it entirely!
Did it say what the best one is?
LOL! That is hysterical.
It was only on one season I think. McLean Stevenson from MASH and Kim Richards from the Witch Mountain movies.
I think I will stick with the earworm I had today instead. “Train, Train” by Blackfoot. Remember them?
HA, no! You people are all trying to give me earworms. I just got rid of a weeks long earworm and do not need another.
Why do we get such bad earworms anyway? Why can’t all my earworms be Bob Dylan or something?
I remember!
Hi all, SOTD is Halston Couture by Halston.
Another full day of interviewing candidates. Sore from yesterday’s spin class. Everyone have a great day!
I feel you, my yoga class nearly killed me last night!
Hi All!
1)In a cloud of white musk (sorry Kevin) in Sylvaine Delacourte Dovana on this grey and rainy day!
2) Made steak with romanesco sauce last night=- sweet potatoes and green beans on the side. Ingredients for sauce were partially from the garden and everything else was in pantry or grocery section at Target. So very good, and honestly I wonder why I bother with cafes or restaurants now.
I really loved the one Sylvaine Delacourte musk that I tried…wish I could remember which one it was!! Anyway, I’m sure you smell grand.
I got a big bag of green beans in my last CSA share and am thinking about what to do with them. Might just go the easy route and saute with onions, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce…
I love fresh green bean just steamed and then sauteed with olive oil and garlic, squeeze of lemon.
we also ate green beans for dinner last night..
Your meal sounds fantastic!
It was killer!
I had a mini-meltdown at the gym this morning – some sharp pangs of frustration, stress, and generalized despair at the state of, well – everything in the world, really, but mostly the ridiculousness of bureaucracy in all its forms. I had some friends with me, so a couple of hugs and I managed to pull myself together.
Now, post shower, I am awash in Parfums de Marly Herod, which is making me feel so much better. It is wonderful that perfume can so influence my emotional outlook. I am in a cloud of cinnamon, tobacco, incense and pepper!
Sorry Lisa D! Hope you are still feeling better.
My sympathies, Lisa D. Sometimes I need a meltdown just to clear the air. No fun, but I feel better afterwards.
Hugs!
I hope that you are feeling less stress now.
Charm from Opus Oils today. I fly out to Austin at 2 AM, so sampling while I pack.
Safe travels!
SOTD = Guerlain Ginger Piccante
…from my brand spanking new bottle. Wowzer! Beeg ginger, citrus, pepper, woods, and musk. Spicy! ???

***** Medicare rant. Skip ifnot interested. *****
Since August 23rd, I kept getting a call from a number in Maryland. No message except last Friday, so I called back and got voicemail and I did not bother to leave a message. It was the supposedly impartial company hired by the QIO (Quality Improvement Organization) affiliated with the junky Medicare Advantage program (Medicare Part C – remember NEVER sign up for this; stick to Part A, B and Medigap). They wanted feedback on the Level 2 Appeal I did from waaaay back in the 3rd week of June. ? I wonder if my Level 3 (Federal) appeal had something to do with it? I answered yet another call yesterday, let the person go through her spiel and just told her what is the point, she (my mom) passed away. What I should have said was “Do you wish to speak to the Beneficiary, meaning my mom?” If the person said yes, my response back would have been “OK, you can speak to her once you figure out how to resurrect someone,” and gauge her reaction. Seriously? Fool me once, shame on me (I gave them my feedback for the Level 1 appeal), fool me twice, shame on you. I hope to get the case file in the next day or two so I can send back additional supporting documentation on the violation of my mom’s rights to information. I hope the judge also sees the pattern of the QIO and the “skilled-nursing” facility (SNF) withholding information. The Medicare system is ripe for abuse – denial of coverage means Medicare does not pay and the SNF gets paid more because they are no longer limited to the negotiated rate but can prey on the consumer. I figured out that the SNF got an extra $55 per day for the first 30 days and $130 more per day past the 30 days. Both Medicare Advantage and this particular SNF are for profit. It’s a lucrative arrangement if the $s are coming out of someone else’s pocket. Believe me, they did a credit check for ability to pay and decided which patients to deny coverage! This feels like David vs. Goliath but I will forge on!
You go, hajusuuri. I had some moments this morning when I was just too frustrated with the little bureaucracy I work within (a community college), so I’m all about the rant today. Taking on Medicare sounds like it’s going to be a long haul.
Sending surges of fragrant fortitude your way!
Thanks for tackling this. They get away with it because fighting it is so complicated people get exhausted and give up. That is why they made it so complicated. Sounds like you have a clear case. Encouragement, encouragement.
The color in that bottle is gorgeous!
I wish you so much luck in your fight!
and am so sorry you even have to go through this.
Gorgeous bottle!
I have been wanting to stop by the Guerlain counter and smell the new Mon Guerlain intense. anyone smell it yet?
Sorry about your troubles, this too shall pass..
I saw a FB review of the intense, they liked it, I hope to try it Friday.
do report back!
That is so aggravating about the Medicare abuse! I hope you get justice.
Ugh. What Meredifay said. But I will add that it starts with SNF documentation, or lack thereof. My friends FIL is back in a hospital (in NJ), transferred there from the rehab he was at briefly. Her husband discovered that while questioning the rehab MD about his father’s condition, that the MD didn’t know anything about the patient’s history or why he was at rehab, and admitted this to him!! ? I told him to start asking for copies of care records or recording conversations. And this is a “good” rehab (Kessler)!
Anyway, I hope you get a good outcome.
My sympathies with the Medicare woes. The system makes no sense a lot of the time. I spend so much time justifying equipment for patients because someone else has gamed the system. I recently had a ridiculous time getting someone’s prosthetic leg approved after his amputation!
Thanks for posting about something that has got to be a difficult thing to plow through.
Good for you Hajusuuri! Best of Luck. Can you imagine what will happen when all us baby boomers enter medicare?
I’m a baby boomer with Medicare. I have to say my experience with them has been incredibly good, even better than some insurance I had had. I will send you all good Medicare vibes!
Lubin Kismet for today’s cooler temps and rain. It’s a balsamic amber vanilla with citrus top notes. Very nice and making me feel warm and cozy today.
I have a decant of Kismet that I forgot about. Thanks for the reminder.
Petunia, I have a fb of Kismet I can send your way if you’d like it. Beas doooottttt Beverly attttt geeee maillldot commm.
I found a L in my samples, so i wore Perles de Lalique today. Would be nicer if i could smell it longer than an hour.. ISO e super anosmia….
Chickpea salad with Tomato and Salami for dinner. Now wearing a bit of Narciso for Her from the freebiemeet.
Your dinner sounds lovely!
Spritzed from a decant of Fève Délicieuse . Will I empty one this month…?
Le parfum du 68 by Guerlain, for the L. on the sample vial. This is powdery and almondy and perhaps tonka-beanish to my nose. Nice enough, but doesn’t do much for me. Happy Tuesday!
I never did try the parfum I don’t think…
It’s a crisp and sunny spring morning here – just delightful! It seems appropriate for one of my few L perfumes, Nuit de Longchamp by Lubin.
Ah, a double L! That should be extra points.
It’s been an absolutely gorgeous late summer day here: bright blue sky and temps in the upper 70’s F. More please! ???
I’ve been watch the new Ken Burns documentary on country music for the past couple of nights, and have been mildly shocked to hear how much of it is familiar to me. Country music was my dad’s thing.
SOTD = Providence Perfume Company’s Rose Boheme EdP, from the sample stash and Jepster. Wearing this is like seeing a rose age in reverse. It starts off a dried rose potpourri and gets fresher as time goes by. Plenty of patchouli in this, so patch-phobes should give this a wide berth. ?
Well I am delighted that you are trying out the Rose Boheme….it was a little too patch for me, but I do love me some rose. What a great day out there today!!
I’ve enjoyed quite a few of your samples. ?
Ooops. Shoulda done a better job of proofing my copy… “watching”, not “watch”.
I am enjoying the documentary as well. Although, I’m having a hard time staying awake to watch it. I’m probably missing half of it each night.
Rose Boheme was one my early loves when I first fell down the rabbit hole. I have a small bottle but don’t wear it so often anymore. Charna had a fire in her shop a few years ago and lost much of her authentic raw materials so it was probably refo’d. My bottle smells lovely (rose, patch, tea, oud) but is a cold weather scent for me.
I know a fair amount of classic country music…I was a waitress in a place with a country jukebox. I hated it at first, then it all grew on me. So looking forward to seeing it.
Finally checking in….spent the day clearing stuff out of attic and garage to go to an auction….I just smell stinky, but after a shower I will be delightful in some Chanel Paris-Deauville.
I have to try that chanel!
Me too. I really hope it shows up a the next splitmeet.
that is not too far away!
Isn’t a shower after a good bit of work a great thing? ?
I really need to catch up on Ken Burns’s work. SOTD is Shalimar Souffle Intense. Afraid it tends to turn cloying. May not be a long-term keeper. I may have to attempt scrubbing it from my chest and putting on something else.
I am paying for fresh air and yard work. I rubbed a big blister on my right thumb mowing the grass on Sunday and now have an infected thumb to show for it. And I’m right-handed! Got one of my partners at work to prescribe antibiotics for me. Hoping they will be kicking in by morning.
I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Oh no!
Wearing the residual drops of my OJ Ormonde Elixir from my sample vial. It seems to have just the right amount of Oud, it is never overpowering and still smells much the same as OJ Woman, but perhaps a tiny bit less floral? The longevity is good and I can’t commit to the sillage yet since I was outdoors mostly but I did get a nice breeze by & backdraft that reminded me who was smelling good!
Wearing some L’Heure Bleue edp tonight. I took a few neglected bottles out of their boxes and arranged them on the dresser for a change of pace. I will try out a few rotations and see what stands out.
Lowbrow tv enjoyment has been The Very Brady Renovation shown on HGTV. It will be fun to see it when its finished.
I’ve been wearing the osmanthus fragrances I got, and enjoying them.
You must smell great then!
SOTD generously applied SJP Lovely. I haven’t worn this since spring and found it to be a nice change from my summer rotation.
