Another Monday, plus Leo Tolstoy's birthday. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in (original) Dior Eau Sauvage.
Reminder: On 9/13, protect yourself from bad (Friday the 13th) juju with a Fierce Force Field Fragrance. Adapted from a suggestion by chocolatemarzipan.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image is detail from the Fall 2019 Dior ready-to-wear campaign with Ruth Bell and Selena Forrest.
Feu Secret for me today. I’m having a clumsy morning, apparently, so I chose FS for its calming qualities.
I feel ya. I tripped going up the stairs yesterday and have a deep bruise on my elbow. I hope Feu Secret protects you from more clumsiness. ?
Owww!!
The good news is that I actually fell up. Much better than down. ?
Absolutely! Slipping going down stairs is horrendous, and I’m glad you only hurt an elbow. My mishap this morning involved reaching (in the dark) to turn up the bedside radio, and instead of bracing against the nightstand I inadvertently “braced” against the edge of a small tray on the nightstand where I put the remains of my tea from last night. Chamomile flew everywhere. Luckily it was pretty weak – it seemed to come up out of the rug without staining. We’ll see when I get home tonight!
That is an awful way to begin the day. Especially on a Monday. I hope your rug is okay.
You smell great SheriG! Steady on.
Eau Sauvage is probably my all-time favorite men’s fragrance. You smell fantastic, Robin!
I’m in Gucci Memoire d’Une Odeur. Once Ulta puts out a coupon I’ll get an FB.
Since you are interested in a fb purchase, I’m interested in your thoughts about this scent! I’m not familiar with any Gucci perfumes except Rush and the brown edp from 2002, both of which I love, but I like the notes in Memoire d’Une Odeur. A lot of the reviews mention a lack of longevity and the press release uses words like transparency etc.
Sure! On me Memoire is a hazy, slightly-sweet, chamomile floral. The floral note is a generic, scrubbed-clean jasmine, but the chamomile note adds an interesting twist. It’s like that whiff of dry-herbal, slightly-minty air you get when you open up a fresh box of chamomile tea. On me, the chamomile note sticks around through the entire development of the fragrance.
Memoire lasts about half a workday on me, but ymmv. I think “transparent” is an apt description, and it is pretty linear. Some perfumistas would probably call it boring…but honestly, “boring” perfumes are kind of my thing
It sounds really nice! Love the smell of chamomile
Please test before you buy! It lasted all of five minutes on my scent devouring skin and I gave it 20 sprays.
Thank you! I don’t wear it as often as I should. And I did not even know Ulta did coupons.
Ulta pretty much always has a coupon available, but they don’t always apply to “prestige” products like perfumes.
Aha. Thanks.
ITA on the Eau Sauvage! It’s perfection. But it’s not for me, and I could not convince DH to wear it, so it remains idealized perfection.
Which is sometimes the best kind!
Yes. ?
On my second cup of coffee and smelling beautiful in Hermes Iris Ukiyoé
you smell lovely
Thanks, Barqs!
Beautiful subtle iris. You smell nice!
Thanks! ?
Minnesota weather seems able to read a calendar – it basically becomes summer June 1 and stops being summer August 31. I wish it was as precise about restricting winter to Dec-Feb! I am sad because I loved lake swimming all summer, but happy that I’m in the mood for non-summer perfumes again. Wearing Omnia today.
You smell great! It would be wonderful to have winter confined to Dec-Feb! I’m in the lower Great Lakes region where the words “lake effect snow” make you sit up and pay attention, and while I love winter it needs to end by March
Pennsylvania is not usually so strict, but this year it seems to have gotten the same memo.
Same here in Montréal this year. 50F/10C when I got up this morning.
Regina, wouldn’t it be nice if winter didn’t drag through March and April, lol! Spring arrived very late in Massachusetts this year, but autumn has come right on time. My favorite season forever.
SotD is a spritz of vintage Molyneux Vivre from a decant I hurriedly grabbed. Unfortunately, this has turned. An unintentional thunk.
It’s cooler here but smokey from fires…:p so a cool vanilla..Shalimar Souffle
Rose day. Noir de Noir and the new Little Flower. Little Flower is a very very soft rose, like a sachet-type scent. It’s pretty, just will need to spray a lot. Will see how it wears through the day. ?
Jessica’s review got me interested in Little Flower. Plus, great bottle.
SmellBent Gypsy for a cruddy Monday. No fall in sight, just grey skies, rain, and a bucketload of dreary. Ugh. This is what’s in store all week. T-Rex is back in her fleece and I may end up having to buy her a puffer jacket of her own. Ah, cruel, cruel weather…
On the flip side, I smell GREAT! ??
You DO smell great!
Another flip side – she would look fab in her own puffer jacket.
A puffer jacket would be too darn cute!
T-Rex would totally rock a puffer jacket!
Trying the new reformulation of Angel EDT. It’s pretty watered down…but with Angel, some might see that as a good thing. The DNA is still there, but it fits in more with the copycats that it does with it’s mama. And I have several of the copycats, so I’m not tempted in the slightest. New bottle is pretty though.
I always thought the Angel star bottle (not sure of the concentration) the one that lies flat, was one of the most beautiful bottles. I just loved it.
I agree, I have that flat bottle in a mini. It took me 10 years to appreciate Angel but I rarely wear it and this mini will last forever, I prefer a couple of the flankers much more than the original. The bottles aren’t nearly as pretty, though.
This one is flat (I think? I’m wearing from a carded sample but that’s what the picture looks like) and is pink and blue instead of just blue.
I saw it in person, it’s actually only flat in the front. The back bottom sticks out, so it’s like a built in stand. I don’t like it. Lol
oh….forget I said I liked it then!
I’m just mad at Mugler for replacing the original. I’ll get over it?
Rainy Monday calls for Atelier des Oris Iris Fauve.
Aren’t iris perfumes just great for when it’s raining? it’s probably because many iris scents kind of match the mood of a rainy day. Or some of them are dewy as if it just rained.
I’m counting down the days until my vacation.
I often crave vetiver on rainy days.
I’m with Lucas and Iris!
Yay us!
Vetiver is quite a warm note, so that makes sense too!
They are! Grey, rainy days perfectly match the grey, purple, melancholic aspect of iris. Comfy and beautiful!
Great that we agree. Didn’t we just mention the other day how much iris matches gray or purple hues?
Happy Monday, y’all! I already got my luck for the week! A grasshopper landed on my windshield and took a ride with me early this morning, and according to many cultures it is a sign of good fortune. I’ll take it!
I’m wearing Perris Monte Carlo Arancia di Sicilia. I liked the juicy orange opening which on me leans a tad sweet, kinda like Tang. That faded quickly, and all I got was something that smelled like cedar, and musk. I had to leave the house for an emergency call, and rolled up my jacket sleeve to keep my elbow exposed for sniffing. Remember that fashion trend when guys rolled up one leg of their pants? I returned home, and decided to re-spray to see if I got the cinnamon, almond, coffee etc. Then all I got was straight-up sandalwood. Whoops – I sprayed on PCM’s Santal Pacifique by mistake. So now I have switched to the other arm with more Arancia, which is highly unusual for me as I usually don’t need a lot to test something, and I also like to save stuff for others. I guess it’s the notes listed for this one that have me intrigued, or maybe I’m just in a stubborn mood.
Wow, what a surprise that you didn’t smell any almond. On my skin it was quite pronounced, like an amaretto liqueur coming after a juicy blood orange phase.
It’s making an appearance now!
^_^
Mentally bookmarking Arancia di Sicilia so I can give it a sniff on my next trip to Indigo. That notes list sounds *very* nice.
I hope you will enjoy it! Indigo carries such great stuff that no one else has.
I’ll have to try it!
I love the Mandarino de Sicilia from the same line – it’s tart, near photorealistic mandarins all the way down.
Good to know! I have that one, Cedro and Bergamotto waiting in the wings.
I am wearing Hermes Neroli Dore and drinking a cup of Irish Breakfast tea.
You smell refreshing
Indochine today. Love the honey note and it feels very zen and calming.
You smell fabulous! ?
?
Haven’t picked out a SOTD right now but managed to reach a bottle of no 19 EDP from the piles of stuff that I can’t really motivate myself to organize. Since I heard that Chanel is discontinuing the no 19 bath stuff, I am thinking of getting a couple of the soaps. I had gotten a Chanel email last night about Coromandel extract. The half ounce bottle is $240 but the 1.7 ounce bottle coffret thing is $10,000. I nearly had a heart attack with the $10,000 price tag. I think I might put on Au Coeur de Desert. It feels so strange to be going into work at 4 today instead of 1 and work until my end time of 9, no wonder I am not able to get my car together.
I got that email and burst out laughing. Hey, the price tag includes a Chanel brooch – not made of any precious metals that I can see – and it comes in a custom box!
Me too! My guffaw sent my husband running into my office. I sheepishly pointed to the video of the Chanel box opening. . .
I just can’t believe Chanel at this point. They have gotten too expensive and the sizes are getting a little goofy. This is why Chanel isn’t my favorite house so much anymore, they used to have fairly reasonable prices.
Yeah that email was so funny. I didn’t click thru to the price since I figured it was in the “if you have to ask…” category.
Of course now I do have a lemming to sniff the new Coromandel parfum, which makes little sense since I haven’t ever liked Coromandel. But the lemming is real, people! I did think it was odd that the official note list didn’t mention patchouli at all since to me, Coromandel has always been all about the patchouli. But the Fragrantica reviews say the patch is still there.
I was never a patchouli lover myself but it’s pretty in Coromandel. I haven’t tried the edp but the edt is fab.
Seconded.
The lemming is real! (Words to live by!!!)
I’m not a Coromandel fan either, but one thing I will say for Chanel is that they’re the one house where the parfum really does usually blow the other concentrations totally out of the water.
I too am in No.19, as I needed the spine-stiffening. Happily, the dreaded meeting went quite well. Spent too much of my weekend running around trying to find any remaining soap at local stores, to no avail. Boo!
Right now, you can still find it on the Chanel website. When my paycheck comes, I will get a bar, maybe two.
Another gray chilly day but hot and humid weather is expected to return tomorrow and hang around for a couple weeks, so swimming isn’t over yet. I’m wearing Hypnotic Poison for a comfort force field today while I do the laundry and other mundane, necessary household stuff.
I am heading to the beach later in the week so hope swimming is not over here yet either! You smell fantastic.
They just finished jackhammering the bottom of our local pool out and it’s in the mid 60’s. Summer is definitely over!
Wow, it sure is!
Looks like NJ is supposed to have a couple of days in the 90’s later this week. I’d bring a hoodie to the beach just to be on the safe side, though.
Yep, could be chilly at night.
SOTD is Lollia Sleeping Under the Stars which is cheerful and calming. A bottle of Jangala should be arriving today but it isn’t here yet. Forgot to ask off for my birthday so I have to work today but I think I’ll get myself a bouquet of flowers
Happy Birthday goddessrena!
Happy Birthday! ?
Happy Birthday! ???
Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday! Enjoy your flowers. ?
Happy birthday !!
Enjoy your special day!
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday!
Have a nice birthday
Happy Birthday! Enjoy your perfume and flowers!
Happy birthday!
I hope you found a perfect bouquet! Happy birthday.
Happy Birthday!
Wishing you a Happy Birthday! I think It should be automatic that we get our birthday off!
Happy Scented Birthday! ???
Feeling self-satisfied having finished an article this weekend in a bit of moonlighting work I am doing, packaged all of my perfume swaps, and am just a bit ahead of schedule on a large project I am working on today… SO am in a sort of self-satisfied frag, Diptyque’s Fleur de Peau, which reminds me of some of the Le Labo’s that hum a musk tune loud enough to be heard, but not loud enough to distract. This perfume would dot her i’s with a circle if she were in middle school.
Probably why I like FdP so much. I am a Virgo.
And congrats on being ahead of schedule!
Haha! I’m a Scorpio, so naturally I find something that isn’t shouting from the rooftops, breaking slate tiles, and trying to hug me, that is instead calm and self-aware, a little confusing (but nice!).
Good job at getting so much done!
Coolish day today here in Michigan, I am warm and lovely in Mohur Extrait. Best rose ever. Candidate for best perfume ever. This, Mitsouko, vintage Diorissimo EDP….and some one of the incense perfumes…
We intersect on the Diorissimo
I am not a fan of most rose perfumes, but Mohur EX just rings all my little olfactory bells.
Old Diorissimo smells so much better than the current incarnation. Old Mitsouko smells better than new Mitsouko, but new Mitsouko still smells better than almost everything else anyway. I always get comments when I wear it.
Perfume is so much fun . ?
Two tornado warnings here last night, and apparently one touched down just across the river from me in WA. No damage, cool phone footage. I had hail, wind, and buckets of rain for a few minutes. Today I’m sampling Flos Mortis. It’s in the menthol stage right now, looking forward to the emergence of jasmine and leather.
Here in Ohio, we are starting to see tornadoes. About 4 years ago, one touched down a out 6 miles from me and earlier this year, one touched down 10 miles away. Never used to have them before.
Yikes! We had one touch down within a few miles of my house in Michigan when I was a teenager. Some of my classmates’ houses were damaged. Haven’t had such a close call since then (knock on wood).
Hail, ugh.
Bletch on the hail and tornadoes!
Ugh-ly Monday. One of those days when I feel behind at 10:15 a.m., which seems impossible, yet I can’t shake the feeling.
Scent to the rescue: I’m wearing Captured by Candlelight, which one of you fab people sent me a while back. Super romantic, oriental vanilla that is supposed to smell like Christmas pudding. On me, it is much more sexy than festive. I’ll take either this morning.
This sounds amazing!
It’s lovely, lillyjo. As I mentioned, on me the gourmand quality seems toned down (though I’m a girl who can take a LOT of food notes in my perfume), but it is definitely warm and captivating.
By the way – no details are known yet but Andy Tauer is launching a new fragrance soon!
Uh oh. There are already too many Tauer’s on my wishlist!
Ack. Typing too fast and that apostrophe is buggin’ the crap outta me.
Ah, those wayward apostrophes! I get it.
SOTD is Xinu Copalba, my favorite vanilla incense. Not that I have any other vanilla incenses. But I do like this one a lot, so it is my favorite
I posted a few more things on the swapmeet late yesterday, hope someone wants them! A couple of decant lots…
That’s a nice one. I have Aroma M Vanilla Hinoki. The Xinu bottles are really cool.
Out of sheer laziness, I am wearing a sample of Montale Vanilla Cake that was lying on my nightstand. My perfume mojo is at a very low ebb.
Same here with perfume mojo :/
Sorry to hear it – I’m planning to wear something really good on Friday in an effort to revive it.
Yeah, Montale Vanilla Cake will not cut it on Friday!
It’s so bad I don’t even want to finish the sample, and I love gourmands.
News flash!! New Andy Tauer release out Sept. 18, L’Air des Alpes Suisses!
Wearing a cloud of Bat to warn away the equally fierce clouds of mosquitoes everywhere. I can’t say I’ve had any success, but I like the idea of it.
This has been the worst year for mosquitoes I can remember! Need more bats!
You smell marvelous.
I like the idea, too! If only it did work as a magic bat force field.
I wish I could have a potion that keeps mosquitoes away! They seem to find me especially tasty. If I don’t drench myself in bug spray, they find all the little places I missed. ?
Dior Eau Sauvage is wonderful…I wish I could get my husband to try it.
Coromandel for me, since there was so much discussion. I have a little decant but don’t dip into it enough. Will try to rectify that this Fall.
I did try 1957 at Bloomies yesterday evening on my way to church. (Figured it would be inoffensive). I sprayed on both arms…a number of sprays. Liked it at first.. but went almost completely anosmic within a few minutes. Oh well…
Wow. Three hours later and this is still going strong. Loving it.
Dior New Look 1947: one of those perfumes that I enjoy wearing but won’t replace the bottle once my current one is done (10 years from now probably
).
I had a decant of it and it was pleasant and powdery. Won’t get another decant unless one falls in my lap.
I feel that way about almost all of my perfumes… even when I love them, I rather replace them with something new and different. I never buy back-up bottles for that reason. I do miss the old Coco Chanel perfume, however. When I wore it as a “signature scent” (I hate that expression!) I had no idea that it could get reformulated. So, in hindsight, I do wish I had bought back-ups of that one. But generally? No. Perfumes can come and go, and it is alright by me :-I
I’m going to spend the week using evaporating decants. I did it this weekend too with Mendittorosa Rituale on Saturday and Eris Night Flower yesterday. I don’t think either are work appropriate, so they’re relegated to weekends or evenings.
Today I chose Lipstick Rose. I like it but will not seek out more after the decant is gone because it is quite strong and a bit cloying on me.
Me too, although I am shooting for an entire month, so we’ll see how that goes. I used up Meteorites, which was all about smelling like makeup.
Nice job using up Meteorites! I smell like makeup today myself.
I am trying do decide which perfumes to take with me for my trip, traveling tonight !! and also which perfume to wear on the plane, something light !!
Going back to Armenia again for a couple of weeks.
Safe travels! Enjoy!
Thank you
Bon voyage Hera!
Have a wonderful trip!
PdE Le Cri de la Lumiere today. I’ve been hoarding my decant, but like others, am having some evaporation issues with decants that have been hanging around for over a year. Though I guess if they’ve been rarely worn, I won’t miss them too much.
Wear it and thunk it ?
Yes, ma’am! ?
I am wondering if they plan to bring it back? It’s still showing up on a few websites but has been sold out forever.
They are going through a repackaging, everything should be back in stock hopefully later this fall.
Partly why I’m hoarding it. I heard about the repackaging (and resizing, I think) of the whole line. And I think repricing, not favorably ? It was a relative bargain in its first incarnation.
Sotd is my new layering experiment of Orange Sanguine over Alien body lotion. They smell good together! I did this at 9 am and can still smell the OS, pretty nice ?
I decided to go to the fancy part of town for grocery shopping. Turns out fancy people iritate me just the same as non fancy people. Maybe it’s just me? Nah.. lol?
Happy Monday ?
Happy Monday! ??
????
Lillyjo, all folks irritate me too! LOL
Happy to hear that the scent experiment was successful.
Glad I’m in good company!
This made me laugh!
Oh good!
I think fancy people can be more annoying than non. Of course, there’s probably someone looking at me going, “Darned annoying person.”
Glad your layering was successful! And i’m with you on annoying people.
Irritating people just seem to be everywhere, don’t they? Thanks for reporting on your perfume experiment… sounds yummy!
Sounds like a nice combo! And I find everyone annoying, fancy or not.
I have days when I feel very irritable about everything. I generally just try not to take it out on innocent people. I like to look up T-shirts with appropriate sayings. For instance, a person with a pet could wear an “I’m only talking to my dog today” or “I’m only talking to my cat today” T-shirt, depending. Sometimes I wear a T-shirt that says “0 Days Without Sarcasm.” I like the one that says, “I’m silently correcting your grammar,” but it can feel judgmental, depending where I am.
Several people I know like the idea of a T-shirt that reads, “You see my expression, and yet you’re still talking.” Even a teacher I know liked that statement. Perhaps it should be: a teacher I know especially liked that statement.
Around the Main Line, you can run into people who don’t ever bother to think about how privileged they are in comparison to others who don’t possess every trait that makes the privileged feel that they should be accepted — even celebrated — everywhere they want to go. One thing that I find especially grating is when I hear, “I don’t want to sound like a racist, but…” Just don’t say it to me, then. It’s that easy. I quit the club I was in where people felt comfortable having attitudes like that.
People who know me in real life are sometimes surprised by how patient I can be, but at a certain point I hit my limit. The people who know me very well recognize when I’ve reached the “Nope” limit. Or they *should.*
Have a good evening!
Life is getting back to normal after my mother’s visit. I enjoyed every minute of it, but having someone to stay for a week is disruptive to the usual routines. After a week off work, I’ve got a lot to catch up on.
I wore 24 Faubourg yesterday, which might just about be a force field fragrance, and I’m continuing the orange blossom theme today in Neroli Outrenoir.
A week is a long visit! You are a saint.
Moonlight Patchouli, which reminds me a lot of Bottega Veneta, just with rose instead of plums. Sadly i cannot smell patchouli at all. I prefer BV.
Just blind ordered a purse spray of this based on some mentions yesterday or day before. A comparison to BV is a good thing! I’ll have to see which I prefer…
I love both of those!
I guess I’m wearing a fierce field since I’m sporting Zoologist T-Rex, sprayed on pretty heavily! I’m almost scaring myself, ha ha! Still high summer weather here in Texas, whew. One way you can tell it’s fall is that the cicadas get really loud in the late afternoons. I love the sound.
That is indeed a force field!
I really like the phrase “fierce field”. There are definitely some perfume that qualify!
Sisley Soir de Lune
And I am so stressed by the crap that is going on at work that I have no idea as to what I even suggested for this community project …. LOL ? ?
I gained weight intentionally over the summer and I have already lost two pounds with the work stress ??
I’m sorry you are so stressed cm8. I know it’s been a rough year, work wise. Fingers crossed for some relief soon?
Ugh. I truly understand. If I could retire tomorrow, I would without hesitation. Employers are beating their employees to death. It really takes a toll on your health. I worked 9.5 straight today, no breaks and the work just keeps coming. I feel like a mouse on a wheel most days.
So sorry about the work stress.
Sadly, it sounds a bit like my job. We have a few of us in a lottery group at work and we all have the dream of winning and leaving at the same time.
Yuck. Sorry to hear that so many people are dealing with crazy amounts of work stress right now.
Eat lots of chocolate! And lots of deep breathing.
Oh no, that is not good. Do keep eating.
No perfume so far, but I did experiment with coffee, as I discussed with Jalapeno. I tried to get an iced decaf coffee, but the Starbucks barista said, “We don’t do that.” I ended up with an iced latte with vanilla flavoring, and put cardamom in what was left of it when I got home. I couldn’t really taste the cardamom, but I liked the vanilla latte. lol.
I knew none of the Starbucks vocabulary, though, so the barista did have to figure out what I was trying to ask for. As far as I was concerned, “iced Americano” was a fan fic reference to Captain America in a coffee shop alternate universe. If you understood that last sentence, it’s probably better if you don’t admit to understanding it. LOL
Sounds like maybe a cardamom simple syrup would be the way to get the spice into your vanilla latte. I’m not sure anyone makes that, but recipes are easy enough to find on the Internet.
I’m pretty sure I could do a simple syrup. Thanks for the idea.
Do you grind your own coffee beans? I just throw a couple of whole cardamom seeds in the grinder with the coffee beans. Heavenly. My beloved does not even complain. I have also put cardamom directly in the drip basket in my coffee maker.
Also, I inquired on your behalf to my daughter who is an ASM with Starbucks, waiting to get her own store. Decaf beans have very little flavor and most stores do not do iced decaf because it just does not taste very good. An iced Captain Americano, I am giggling, contains decaf espresso shots, much more flavorful.
Thank you for the information, and even asking your resident expert.
I haven’t ever tried to grind coffee beans. I do have a coffeemaker, and will experiment with putting cardamom powder in the drip basket with the coffee next time I get ambitious. lol.
SOTD = MFK Grand Soir
From a gorgeous RED travel spray muled back from Paris by shopfranceinc. Amber, benzoin, tonka, vanilla and labdanum: what’s not to love?
https://www.instagram.com/p/B2Mo_ZhhjtY/?igshid=1n021qirek7cx
In other news, our floor has 4 conference rooms that can be reserved and eight other smaller rooms (that can fit 2-6 people each) that you can walk in and use for a short time with no reservations (and you can’t reserve). Anyway, being that the 2 smaller rooms near me were occupied and I needed a room for a meeting, I booked one of the conference rooms. I was a little dismayed when I saw 2 people walk in 10 minutes before my time slot but since it was free, there was no issue at all. At precisely 10:00, I knocked on the door and waited. After 30 seconds, one of them got up, opened the door and really bitchily said we have the room until 10:00. I know her from a previous role and I think even she herself was shocked at her tone of voice. I just said it’s 10:00 and pointedly looked at my watch. They left, I dialed into my call using the big screen and went about the meeting. Now the conference rooms all have frosted glass up to eye level and the upper portion is clear so there is no doubt when the room is occupied with activity. Would you believe that 3 groups of people at different times just barged in without knocking? Believe it! How rude was that? We don’t have an “In Use” sign but it is very obvious when someone is in there!
Your SOTD sounds wonderful.
The people barging into the conference room? Not so much. I’d say that an “In Use” sign IS needed for them.
That red travel spray is gorgeous. Have you done an all red bottle theme yet?
I love Grand Soir, you smell great.
Sounds like it’s time to make your own In Use sign and tape it on the outside of the door when you go in.
Running late today!
SOTD = L’Artisan Timbuktu EdT. This is a case of “What took you so long?” I finally got around to opening the 50mL bottle I had purchased a while back. I get more vetiver from this when sprayed versus dabbed. It smells pretty darn good to me either way!
Sometimes I will wait awhile to open a new bottle, until it feels just right.
I’m pretty sure that it was good old fashioned procrastination on my part.
Love this one! Will get an FB when I thunk my purse spray.
I found my bottle at a price that was too good to pass up on one of the discount sites. I figured that was as good a time as any.
Sprayed on Vol de Nuit edt tonight. It’s a bit cooler out today so heavier frags are a welcome change. I think its short-lived as its supposed to warm up again this week ?
True fall weather isn’t here for me yet, but it is making its coming presence felt. (Literally!) ??
I am so happy the heat is gone in Montréal. It was 10C this morning with a high of 19. Yay for great perfume weather!
Spent the day in SL 5 O’clock au Gingembre and just topped up with Dame Black Flower Mexican Vanilla. Neither qualify as a force field, unless maybe you were going to a diet center.
I didn’t wear perfume back in my Weight Watchers days. Would you get a dirty look for smelling too deliciously gourmand? (Not that the above two scents are even on the sweetest end of the spectrum.)
I wouldn’t dare show up to WW in Profumum Vanitas.
