Amouage Rose Incense ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 27 June 2019 13 Comments

Amouage has launched Rose Incense, a new fragrance.

The very first fragrance from our exclusive ‘It’s all about…” collection, Amouage’s Rose Incense eau de parfum tells an olfactive tale of human emotions inspired by the ‘Rosebud’ enigma in Citizen Kane. Echoing life’s trials and celebrations, it combines a rose heart with myrrh and frankincense at the base, while the fresh, clean undertones of an elemi top note bring a sense of serenity to the fragrance.

Amouage Rose Incense is available now at Selfridges, £240 for 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Mmm. This sounds like it would make my nose very happy…my pocketbook, no so much…

And suddenly it occurs to me that it’s been a while since there was a Prix Eau Faux. . .

Christopher Chong is gone from Amouage so let the era of boring names begin…

I don’t like the newer bottles, either. Nothing about the brand seems to stand out right now, which I find disappointing.

What do you mean by newer bottles?
The one shown above is their Opus series bottle, no?

Yeah, guess I’m old. The Opus bottles still seem “newer” to me.

Sounds like it could be pleasant, but not interested at that price.

Not mad about the simple bottle. If it is not part of their Opus collection then why are they using the same bottle?! The name is also too simple.
That being said the notes do seem enticing.
