Happy Almost-Friday and happy International Carrot Day! What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm starting in on G with Gobin Daudé Sous Le Buis.
Reminder: on 4/5, wear a fragrance by Gallivant, Grès, Ginestet, Grossmith or Grandiflora, if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter G.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Sipping tea from a cup that says..”Its not shopping. It’s retail therapy”
I am in Omnia again today, perfect for spring time.
Such a great fragrance, and I like the mug
I like the mug too!
Mr L rolls his eyes every time I use it..
Omnia???
That sounds like a nice morning.
I think my loved ones would consider a mug with that motto as me rationalizing, but I like the saying.
I’m wearing Galop d”Hermes. Another favorite from Hermes.
You smell sooo good.
Beautiful !
I’m wearing Grandiflora Madagascan Jasmine. It is gorgeous. I’m afraid that I’m beginning to want a bottle.
Tea is MF Parsifal.
That is my favourite Grandiflora as well! (Though i havent smelled them all…) I have a sample, I think I will wear it tomorrow!
I’m actually very pleasantly surprised by the whole line. I want to try the 2 Magnolia’s again. It’s been awhile, and I can’t even remember whether I liked them.
I have a sample of the Sandrine Magnolia. I think I need to give it a try (again) in warmer weather. It has loads of citrus/grapefruit and is quite green-ish
Now I am not a big citrus fan but if we get another hot and dry summer like last year it may work!
We must be on the same Grandiflora wavelength since this is the second day in a row we’ve been wearing the same of their scents.
By chance, are you also planning to wear Queen of the Night tomorrow?
Yes! Sample is ready on my bedside table
So funny!
Great minds thinking alike!
I’m in copious lashings of Chanel 19 EDP today, for comfort. A philosophical aside: it seems most of us usually think of 19 as a strengthener, and it is … and after consideration I guess I’d have to say that, in some contexts, strength IS comfort, and comfort is strength.
I agree!
There are some perfumes that make you stand up straight and strut instead of walk..comfort you..and give you that oomph you need..make you feel feminine and elegant
For me, Chanel 19 is the scent that makes me feel most like “myself”. My mother gave me my first bottle when I was in high school in the 70s so it’s a scent that’s been with me most of my life. Don’t know whether that’s the reason I find it strengthening or because of that cool, level gaze of the iris and galbanum ?
Oh, I think I’d like your mother! She has great taste! And No. 19 is such a spine-straightener, isn’t it?
Oh how sweet <3
Hear, hear. I commented on someone else’s No.19 EDP post on Instagram that No.19 EDP is what I will save if U can only pick one perfume to save!
I am ridiculous in that I haven’t bought a bottle of No. 19 although I talk about it all the time. I wore it in the ‘80#s and have always loved it. But I don’t own it. Craziness.
Ah, if I’d known it was Carrot day I would have worn Iris Silver Mist! I’m in a different root today, Lubin’s perfect Le Vetyver. A bit more manly than I usually feel but absolutely lovely.
Yes! iSM would be the frag to wear for Carrot Day! ☺️
Heaven in a bottle for me. I rarely wear it but it’s a top ten.
Last year I wore I Love Carottes on carrot day, and I almost did again this year ???
That would have been cool.
I like seeing what days of celebrations or commemorations you find. Some are very cute.
That “dude” day, celebrating “dude” culture (sub-culture, I guess. lol) would have been a perfect day for my brother to celebrate. Perhaps he already knew about it. lol
I will confess, though, sometimes I’m just happy I know what day of the week it is. I think many people have days like that on occasion.
I accidentally celebrated Carrot Day by having beef stew that had carrots in it. I’m going to count that as a celebration. lol
I wish I’d gotten to smell that one! I don’t know if they still make it. Is probably buy it blind if I found it.
Wearing the remains of last night’s Organza, it makes a nice bedtime perfume. I’ll be putting Allure edt on top of it in a while because they have a similar feel. I’m hoping today’s April showers bring May flowers, c’mon spring!
Organza is so pretty! I do love Allure also, have to replace my bottle at some point.
I agree and sometimes a warm, pretty, feminine fragrance just hits the spot.
I do love Allure for bedtime.
My brain was foggy and lacking all direction this morning. Got ready for work on autopilot and my hand went directly for Nahema. Excellent choice, hand, Nahema never disappoints.
Nahema is always a good choice!
Nahema is an excellent choice for a holy grail rose.
I am wearing Guerlain AA Ginger Piccante and drinking a cup of Russian Country tea, on this very gray and rainy day.
OMG how have I never heard of this scent before?? It sounds like something I would LOVE!
That is so funny, when I read the perfume name, you immediately popped into my head!
It makes me feel so honored that you have come to know my perfume interests so well that you can gauge my expected excitement level! <3
Is that a new Guerlain AA, or an old one?
Partial credit – trying Gritti Aqua Incanta.
Fans of powdery florals, take notice. Aqua Incanta immediately reminded me of Lipstick Rose and Misia, although this perfume is heavier and ‘oilier’. According to Gritti’s website, it has only three notes – iris, rose and vanilla – but Fragrantica adds benzoin, amber, powder notes and woodsy notes, and my nose agrees. It’s a sweet and rich makeup smell, mostly lipstick during the first hour, and lots of powder later. I like it but do not love it – it’s a bit heavy for me (at least today). Misia, for example, is plushier and cosier. For me, AI is a cold weather scent.
Oh, this sounds really nice…
Hi all, SOTD is L’Arte di Gucci by Gucci. We’re almost to Friday! Woo-hoo!
It’s a good one! You smell amazing.
Thanks! I do love a deep thorny rose scent. One of my favorites.
Such a beautiful scent
Gorgeous SOTD!
Already had to get smart with an older, male, consistently irritating coworker insisting that I smile for him this morning, so we’re not off to a great start, but on the plus side, I smell amazing. SOTD is Gallivant London, a pretty watery rose-iris splashed over leather. Trying this line is making me need a vacation I can’t afford.
Might have to settle for a bottle of perfume. Much cheaper!
Good for you for getting smart! This is a pet peeve of mine. I have RBF, and my entire life men have been telling me to smile, as if it were any of their business what I did with my face. And when you tell them to stop, they get defensive and tell you to not be so “sensitive.” Grrr. There’s a lot more I could say here, but I won’t because then Robin would have to delete my comment.
Lol that one’s my favorite. I’m sensitive for not wanting to adjust my body language to be more appealing to you, but you, who are so offended by me minding my own business and not being chipper at 7 am that you felt the need to comment on it, are not too sensitive.
Boy, bye!
Touché! You tell ‘em.
Excellent! I want that for a screen saver on my phone so I could just flash it at people who did this annoying and ubiquitous behavior.
LOL at RBF ???
Took me a minute to recall that specific malady! ?
I admit I had to google the acronym.
Don’t you just hate that? Good job getting back at him! My own RBF has caused total strangers of both sexes to ask me if I’m ok in concerned voices. When I was wearing makeup and nice clothing ? I’ve tried to work on it but the older you get, the more your face kind of…sets. Lol!
Yeah, I’ve gotten that one, too.?
Ditto here… November Rose. Don’t even think about telling me to smile.
I fully support you in this endeavor.
“I’ll smile when I see back of you, thanks”
Now that comment made me laugh out loud. Oy.
Excellent.
It’s never bad to show them how sharp your teeth are.
In the past, I’ve said something like.
“I am sure it’s not your intention, but I get the impression I exist solely for your pleasure; as we are coworkers, that wouldn’t be appropriate now would it?”
That usually stops them dead cold in their tracks.
I feel like I’d get frustrated and start dumping coffee on people before I got it all out
Oh, that’s where my smart-alec (Gemini) self gets in trouble, too easy with the snark. I’m constantly biting my tongue!
Sign twin ?
I can come up with with great comebacks, but like 2 days later, lol.
Elisa P: like George Castanza “jerk store” LOL
Lillyjo, I just YouTubed that scene and I can’t stop laughing???? Brilliant!!!
SmokeyToes, that’s genius! I need to remember that line and modify to fit various situations.
It’s worked is so many different situations, feel free to modify and use!
Oh, that’s a good one!
I may have used a phrase like “promise you’ll never ask/tell me to smile again, and I almost certainly will” once or twice in my life…
Please tell us what you said when you got smart with him!
I told him something like I can’t participate in forced banter before 10 o’clock, too close to the HR office to go off the way I want lol
Ah! Good for you!
My favorite — “you’d be prettier if you were smiling”. OMG, don’t get me started.
I once had a co-worker call me sugar but it was meant in a deprecating way. I answered, no problem sweet-cheeks. I think he got the message. ?
HA! Good one!
UGH! I’ve had those same wretched comments about smiling. And I have hated every one of them. However, as I get older, they have become less frequent.
Eau by Andy Tauer. A fragrance that grew on me with time and no it is one of my favourite scents, very comforting and easy to wear for every occasion. I love its soft and gentle character and it last all day!
That one is so wonderful. A very kind NSTer sent me a bit of it recently, and I’ve really enjoyed it. ?
Since I now know it’s Carrot Day, I dug around in my stash and excavated my decant of L’Artisan Fleur de Carrotte. It is indeed flowery and smells like carrot juice, too. A rooty floral. I have two other related perfumes also by Olivia Giacobetti, Honore des Pres I love Carrots and Hermes Hiris. They are all wonderful.
I wish l’Artisan would bring back Fleur de Carrotte!
Drole de Rose for me today. This scent makes me happy.
I woke up this morning and looked at my newly painted walls and finally could say I like the color we chose. Since painted I’ve waffled on the “light green” feeling too bright almost boarding on garish for a bedroom space. It’s quite challenging to get color on walls right. How it will look in it’s entirety in that particular space and light is hard to tell until it’s actually done. It has grown on me, however, and I especially find it lovely in the early morning light. Now to figure out wall and other decor!
Oh boy, I hear you on this! I’ve also been getting light green paint on some of my walls, and I too am still undecided about whether it’s too green or too bright! It’s in my living room, and really brightens things up a whole lot in comparison to the sort of pale pink adobe that used to be there. Afternoon light reflects a lot of pink into my house from the neighbours’ brick facades and so overall I’m happy to tone down the pinks. Part of my new decor is pale pale blue (Behr White Sapphire) and part is this light green (Behr Signs of Spring). I’m thinking they look good together and to have it all green would’ve been too much.
The light-factor is huge. Your colors sound gorgeous! I love pale pale blue and green is beautiful with practically everything.
I think my accent for the bedroom will be yellow, although not sure what kind of yellow just yet. I also like the palm tree motif which is still quite trendy (not that I like it for this reason).
Sounds like a good color scheme. My go-to light green is Benjamin Moore Par Four #470. Green but subtle.
I like that. My LR/DR is a similar color at the moment.
Ooh, that led me into a fun search through their colors. I like your pale green, it’s quite icy, somewhat more comparable to the blue I’ve now got. I think my light green is closer to the Benjamin Moore one called Silken Pine Pistachio. What names they come up with! Now that walls are closer to completion, I’ve got to decide on color for closet doors and baseboards and other trim. They’re way to yellow now (an off white) and yet I don’t want the utterly chill effect of a pure white, so have to begin the search for some kind of eggshell white. It might come out like Wedgwood and I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.
That sounds really pretty. My bedroom is already green and I want to paint the kitchen apple green this summer.
My husband says Benjamin Moore paint samples are a waste of money, but I think they are worth every penny!
And at the moment there are 5-6 colors on the walls of my hall because I cannot make up my mind, ha.
Seconding that paint samples are worth it! I hate the color that I picked for the laundry room, but didn’t get a sample. I just chose it from a swatch. Repainting around the washer and dryer would be a very big PiTA.
Yes it would!
My bedroom is a light apple green! Yours sound delightful too!
Eau des Sens again today, as it was so pleasing earlier this week.
Oh, and I will be putting carrots into a veggie curry tonight, so acknowledging international carrot day!
Smelling so Spring-like!
Bois des Isles E called my name this morning.
Iles EDT…fat fingers..
Fat fingers or no, you smell fab!
I always answer that call.
Smelling great, you are.
Puredistance Aenotus for today, so no G again.
Thursday!

Adding my Congratulations! Very well done!
PG Un Crime Exotique is my SOTD.n Lots of good spices here. There’s even a gingerbread note that is so nice.
That fragrance is one of my all-time favorites. You smell delicious.
Ah! I didn’t realize it was carrot day, but luckily, I’ve worn a lovely iris scent–the lovely Fleur de Peau! A very kind NSTer swapped me a decant of it, which means I can use up the sample a different very kind NSTer sent me with abandon.
Also, you may recall me wearing FdP while I had a sinus infection, and mentioning that FdP was very light on me indeed. I think I had used 6 or 8 sprays of the stuff and people told me I must smell nuclear. Well…you were all right, I think
Today I put on 3 sprays of it and I smell quite strongly indeed.
? Pretty I was one of yhe people who mentioned that to you. You are a good sport.
Hehehe. When you’re as silly as I am, you have to be!
I sampled this recently, and my first thought was of you wearing 9 sprays.?
Aww
well I hope you enjoyed it, and that you thought about how much the people around me must’ve loved (or “loved”) how much I reeked that day!
I am wearing and older formulation of New York, by Nicolaï and loving it from A-Z!
I read that the current version of the ‘normal’ New York’ is not what it used to be, is it true?
And does anyone know if the New York Intense comes close to the older/better version?
I tried the Intense last week. It’s very good as well, but to me it hasn’t got quite the magic that the “original” New York has. But; your mileage may vary. I read in the Sentir, Ressentir book that Patricia de Nicolaï had already composed New York before she founded her own perfume house. I think whe she was still working with one of the big fragrance companies.
Oh, and I didn’t notice the current New York eau de toilette in the shop on Rue des Archives.
Thanks for the reply!
How is the Sentir Ressentir book?!
I’m loving it. It’s quite expensive for what it is, but I love reading the interviews with Patricia de Nicolaï, Isabelle Doyen, Jean-Claude Elléna and all the others.
As per ususal, I’m out of step with the community project in Tauer’s PHI. Happy to say that I’m finally adjusting to the time change and waking at a normal hour.
And the weather! It’s been sunny, bright, warm to cool ever since I got here. I was expecting grey skies and rain, but it’s been pretty near to perfect??.
You were welcomed with open arms!
You smell great!
You smell fabulous!
I am having a very angry day, and nothing is soothing.
Wearing Guerlain’s Vetiver, and even that doesn’t help.
I’ve had those and they’re really…maddening! Hope things start looking up soon.
I had a moment earlier today when 1 person in the elevator spoke AT TOP VOLUME. Listen, first of all, the damn elevator is small; secondly, I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS nor am I impressed because IT SOUNDED LIKE NONSENSE TALK; thirdly, you better get your hearing checked because you have been hearing yourself speaking at that volume and your hearing is probably damaged.
Someone needs to learn to use their inside voice.
Yep!
Mr. Jalapeno used to work with someone like that who talked loudly on his cell phone. That person ended up getting a very rude nickname that can’t be posted on NST.
Now I want to know what it is!
I suppose I could email you the nickname, but do you want that kind of stuff in your Inbox?
That was me on Monday. Grumpy! My husband gave me a wide berth as I was working from home but not pleasant to be around.
Hope tomorrow, or even later today (!), is better.
sometimes you just gotta be angry.
I had an angry day Tuesday and I’m still feeling residual crankiness. Hope you are able to find your calm soon. I went to a killer yoga class this morning to get my aggression out. The teacher was talking about how women’s power is situated in their nipples, we were supposed to meditate on that. All I could think of was that spoof movie where the evil German barmaid had giant drill bits pop out of her boobs. LOL!
LOL! Did you bust out laughing?! I don’t think I’d be able to help myself ?
The Austin Powers fembots!!!
https://youtu.be/zTv9AhCuSU4
I managed to keep quiet but I was grinning.
+1!
I understand angry days. Hoping you find your center.
Sorry about your angry day <3 hope it mellows out.
I feel ya and agree, sometimes you just gotta be angry.
I’ve had “angry days” too. Fighting them seems to only make it worse. Just gotta roll with it.
I was flying under the radar this AM in a dab of Hove Louis XIV solid… this afternoon I have meetings and I’m grumpy about the meetings so I’m putting on a little Tea for Two.
Hope the meetings were tolerable!
Did the perfume help?
Wearing CdG Peppermint. I am so glad I finally understood how good this stuff is; a hidden gem!
Argh, and I can’t even remember now if I tried it! But still lots of hidden gems in the old CdG series scents.
Yves Rocher Neroli- a little extra from the swap meet (thanks Laura!). Very cheerful and smells ever so slightly like Froot Loops ?
Yves Rocher is totally underrated in the fragrance world imo. They’ve had some real beauties over the years!
I haven’t tried many at all. I had the Pur desire de Lilas which was nice, but too sweet for me. I guess the lack of availability of their range in the US is a factor for me.
Aww. That’s a shame, and with the good value the American dollar would bring you… I liked the lilac one, also was gifted the rose version. So many decent frags from them!
SOTD = Prada Olfactories Purple Rain
Love this – it’s an elevated more polished mix of Infusion d’Iris EDT and EDP!
Now back to work!
Have you thought about getting a T-shirt that says “Moar iris!”
Yesterday morning I could see my breath for the first time this year so autumn is well and truly here . Brrr. Bois de vanille today, I think. The night sky has been lovely and dark these past few nights and I have been looking at the Milky Way…i think I would like a Milky Way perfume if someone wants to make it.
Kanuka, I really admire the way you see mother nature.
That’s a fascinating idea! What notes could give that sense of wonder, though, of distance and multitudes of stars? Or of light in deep endless dark? Who would be the ideal perfumer for your milky way? What would it feel like?
(sorry, spilling heaps of questions as you’ve got my brain spinning…)
It’s still only 2C in Montréal, we can definitely see our breath.
I can imagine how magnificent your night sky is, I got to experience that last summer when we went camping on the tip of the Gaspé peninsula, far from any city lights. I would love a milky way scent. Say hello to the Southern Cross for me!
It’s been a few years since I’ve been able to see the Milky Way. Too much light pollution where I live.
Day off so I’m wearing Velvet Gardenia and headed to the MFA for a Toulouse Lautrec exhibit
Wish I was doing that—have a nice time at the exhibit.
Enjoy that exhibit!
That sounds lovely!
I’ve had 2 days off and pretty much just resting and fighting off this bug that keeps hanging around. It’s cold here, so wore EA Green Tea to hurry spring along. I got samples of The Harmonist Yin something and Mutiny in my beauty bag. Yin was nice until I looked at the price. Mutiny was o.k., then boring, pretty much like Jessica said.
The ludicrous prices of those Harmonist frags just make me laugh.
I actually did laugh. It is a pretty scent, for sure, but no reason to be that pricey.
I’m getting warm weather for the weekend, so maybe you are too? Hope you can kiss the crud goodbye very soon!
It will be warming up briefly for the weekend.
Oy! Kick that crud to the curb!
I’m wearing Stash topped with a little Mohur extrait.
Same wavelength with layering with Mohur Extrait (will do it with Herve Gambs Hotel Particulier)!
SOTD is a sample of Stem that was in my Barneys love yourself bag.
How is that one?
Meh…
Thanks, won’t bother then!
Grandiflora Madigascan Jasmine for a nice, sunny day, even if I’m only enjoying it through the windows at work.
Even though my car repairs were costly, it’s been so nice to drive it since I picked it up yesterday. I can remember the last time it’s driven this smooth.
Good to hear the car turned out repair-able and I hope it will run for a long, long time.
Good for you on your car! And I must admit we smell pretty great today.
Glad the car is all better.
It’s a great feeling to drive a car without worry.
Would you recommend the shop? I would like to get a thorough going over before I head up to Alaska. Hard to know where to go to have this done since I’m such a vagabond…
Well, so far I would. Let’s see how it keeps driving, plus there may be other work needed still. I’m planning to take it to the same place for the additional work. I’ve had great experiences with the people working there. They’ve been friendly, knowledgable, explain things in ways I understand, and don’t talk down to me. I also overheard that they do all the work on the local state patrol cars, so it sounds like they’re really reputable and established. Bonus for me is that they’re a 30 minute walk or 10 minute drive from work.
Also, my coworker in Tacoma, closer to where you’ll be (are you in Lakewood already?), has a mechanic she likes. If you send me an email, I can get some details from her and tell you the name of my shop.
That was quite the repair bill you had, but it sounds like it was worth every cent.
Massive surprise hailstorm here today–petit pois sized lumps, at least–which put a serious chill into the air. I was planning to wear something else, but had a bit of a blocked nozzle explosion with a vintage Miss Dior perfume, so, slathered it on rather than wasting it.
Yes! Vintage is gold.
Ugh, sorry about the hail!
Yikes on getting hail! Not at all fun.
Jasmins Marzipane for me today. Need something that will be very quiet as we head to King Lear. I spent time reading a study guide, so I’m at least clear on plot and characters. I didn’t realize tonight is opening night…thus the early (5 pm) curtain.
Have a great time!
Smart idea! My sister is getting deeper into Shakespeare and this will make the viewing more pleasurable!
I hope it’s great!
Perles de Mousse, Ann Ggggerard. I made Bolognese with tons of carrots in it yesterday (Husband, eying the plate: “Does Bolognese usually have carrots in it?” Me: “Yes.”), just ate the leftovers which were particularly rich in carrot – Happy Carrot Day!
I love me some carrots in Bolognese.
Arquiste Anima Dulcis today – desperately trying to thunk this bottle as it is a bit leaky and I fear it will go bad soon from oxydation.
Maybe seal it with parafilm?
Plumbers tape?
It’s leaking around the neck, but due to the shape of the bottle might be tricky to seal. I think I’m going to decant it into an atomizer as there are less than 15mls left.
Ah! I see there isn’t much of a neck in that bottle. I’m the most sloppy decanter ever. Always overspray & dribble everywhere & end up smearing it on myself in an attempt not to waste
Good luck decanting your leaky bottle!
No G today …Bulgari Black for a grey and drizzly day. Feeling better After 24h awake time from osaka to Stuttgart. A bit unpacking and a First homecooked meal after two weeks, a seabream with zucchini and some nice wine. And got my nails redone.
Welcome home! Looking forward to reading how your trip went.
I loved your pics on IG!
Snow & ice rain mix today on the Canadian prairies. Wind is terrible.
Didn’t give any consideration when selecting SOTD.
Wanted to test my cheap thrills from yesterday. Shopper’s Drug $19.99 frag special revealed a lone bottle of Burberry Brit Body Tender edt 35ml.
So it had to come home with me.
On me, it seems the same as Rythym edt. Another cheap thrill from Shoppers. Can’t resist that price point in Canadian dollars ???
What town are you in? My mom is from Hudson Bay, SK.
Practically neighbors!
South of Winnipeg, MB.
Hope the weather in Hudson’s Bay, SK is less dreary than here!
And you’re in Montreal?
My brother is stationed in Valcartier Quebec
Yes, I’m in Montréal.
Carrot Day??? No, thank you! I am allergic to raw carrots and have to wear gloves while preparing them
I love iris note in perfumes, but don’t like carroty irises for obvious reason. Strangely enough I fell for SL Bas De Soie and enjoying my bottle:)
SOTD- Chanel Cristalle edt. I got another (the third!) decant in a swapmeet and once I finish it I have no excuse not to buy a FB!
Interesting! I’ve heard of many food allergies, but never to carrots. I’m sorry you have to wear gloves!
Food allergies are a bummer.
It’s a lovely sunny day here. ??? My neighbor’s forsythia bushes are fully in bloom now… the buds opened either on Monday or Tuesday. The crab apple tree by the front door has tiny leaves on it, and the flowers can’t be far off. ????
Foxbins: THANK YOU!!! I tried your suggestion of mixing Spooky kitty’s medicine into her wet food this morning. She ate most of it, which is an epic win considering her refusal to have anything to do with said medicine yesterday.
SOTD = back in Silences today. Getting some different facets today now that the weather is warmer than my prior wearings. I do have some options for the CP tomorrow.
I’m so glad that worked for you! Here’s hoping Spooky kitty gets better fast now.
Already seeing some improvement!
Yay for Spooky kitty getting the medicine down! My poor Sherbert kitty almost took my fingers off a few times when giving him medicine.
Here’s hoping that she will take the rest of the medicine. The vet gave her a weeks’ worth. ?
That’s great news! Glad you found something that worked.
Celebrating International Carrot Day with baby carrots and hummus for a late lunch.
Smelling oh, so right in House of Matriarch Devotion and Solstice Scents White Feather. ❤️
Several people I know favor baby carrots and hummus as a snack. ?
Like Coumarin above, I would have worn ISM if I’d known it was International Carrot Day! Alas, I did not. I wore Carta Moena, which was also lovely. I did eat some carrots today!
My dental appointment was this afternoon. The Doctor was from the same province as me, and he even knew some people that i knew growing up. Crazy, small world at times.
I may have to get 2 implants, but I’m not getting the ‘friends and family’ rate..lol. If I didn’t have dental insurance through work, it would cost the same as my new roof! I’m going to see how much is covered before committing.
Decided to walk up to the pub for Burger Nite to catch my breath afterwards. I wanted to put on ISM before knowing about Carrot Day, but Chanel No. 19 edp was closer at hand.
Sorry about the dentist. Even with dental insurance, the work is so expensive. Enjoy the burger nite?
Aww. Implants are prohibitively expensive! Hope yiur insurance pixks up a hefty portion… and mull it over. Sometimes our bodies reject them. Just had 2 two molars side ny each capped & had to pay for one out of pocket. Feeling your pain!
Commando perfume-wise today. I think I’m starting to get a cold. It’s sometimes hard for me to tell if it’s a cold or allergies this time of year. I’m allergic to several sorts of tree pollen, and it’s that time of year. On the bright side, our magnolia is starting to bloom, and in the area cherry or plum trees or the like — ornamental stone fruit trees, anyway, because I can’t tell them apart by the flowers — are blooming.
The winter honeysuckle out back is in full bloom, and very lovely, and our early daffodils are blooming. I like what I suppose are what people typically think of when they hear the word “daffodil” — the yellow trumpet daffodils. I find them very cheerful flowers. But we’ve got many different varieties. I remember a friend in a Goth phase being disgusted when I said that the little double daffodils that were blooming when she visited were named ‘Yellow Cheerfulness.’ Nothing wrong with cultivars with happy names, in my opinion.
