Update: we will be down for part of the day tomorrow for scheduled maintenance. Hopefully the scent of the day poll will appear eventually, but it will probably be several hours later than usual.
Happy International Men’s Day! It's also, unfortunately for everybody, another Monday. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm celebrating the holiday in (old) Dior Eau Sauvage.
Reminder: on 11/23, pick your Black Friday poison: wear the last fragrance you bought, wear a cheap thrill, or wear a fragrance you love but refuse to buy in a full size because it's too expensive.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2018, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: top image is Robert Pattison for Dior Homme Fall 2018.
You smell wonderful Robin!
I’m wearing Patou 1000, which smells pleasantly opulent and elegant. It’s quite cold here today, but great for walking!
You smell gorgeous!
Cold here too, and looks like it will be all week. Blech.
Robin, you smell great!
Today I’m fighting the dry, wintry air in L’Occitane Amande body oil + The Body Shop Red Musk perfume oil.
So. Moisturized.
Love that body oil! ????????
I love body oil
That is the best body oil. The shower oil is great for removing unwanted perfume.
That sounds wonderful! Wish I had some of that aalmond oil right now myself.
cazaubon, are you in the US? I have a little sample-size packet of the amande shower oil that I’d be happy to send you! shoot me an email at shelp 216 [at] gmail (no spaces) if you’re interested.
That is so sweet, but I have easy access to a L’Occitane store, I can pop over and get some for myself. I’m just visiting at my parents’ house right now and didn’t bring any liquids/gels due to traveling light.
I’m wearing Santal Massoïa, from a spray sample. It is almost minty to my nose. First time to wear it, but I’ve had it for awhile, so I don’t know if I fit the CP.
One of my favorites! You smell wonderful.
I wasn’t familiar with SM, so I looked it up. I will have to check it out next time I’m shopping.
Lili Bermuda Frangipani
Twinnings Earl Grey Tea
I am drinking cheater coffee — Peets cold brew something from a bottle, mixed with milk.
I had some cheater coffee this morning too – Starbucks iced coffee from a bottle, with a splash of egg nog.
Oh, splash of egg nog sounds great.
there is Peets on the east coast?
I have seen at least one of their stores in the Philly airport. I can’t remember which concourse it was on/at now.
You can buy the coffee (beans or ready made in bottles) in many local grocery stores. I can’t get a “fresh” Peets near me, though.
I have the sampler set of a few Lili Bermuda scents, and have enjoyed most of them. One of them, Lili Bermuda Paradise, I loved so much that I bought a full bottle 🙂
You smell lovely !!
Dear Barqs, I loved Paradise too.
I tried a few and Frangapani just blooms on my skin. Songes by AG does the same, but this one is more classical, more elegant white floral chore. Even Mr L loves it, who is normally a perfume grinch. He bought me a travel spray of that one. So lovely.
Good to know that Lili Bermuda offers travel size bottles. What size/weight are the travel size bottles?
I am not sure the amount, and I can’t find the weight online
I wish I bought a full bottle of this, I am going through this one fast
Not wearing anything yet because I had to get up at the A** Crack of dawn to get my windshield replaced. I have big plans for Naja as soon as I get back in the van.
This link is for hajusuuri and all the poor souls who have to suffer commuting woes on the daily. This needs to be a real thing:
https://youtu.be/rm8ozTRSI9w
And it’s not just NYC. i’m in Seattle and I travel regularly on the bus with some “interesting” people. I have to say that most of the drivers have the patience of a saint.
Anywhere people mass, they create a mess. Sad to say. ????????
Sorry about your windshield. On the video: people are just awful. I’m sorry, but it’s true. It was nice to see some of them get confronted.
The windshield is no problem. Don’t even have to pay deductible, just hang around while it’s being replaced. I’m just not great at waiting, but that’s just one of my many personal flaws.
Oops, this was meant for SP above!
Lilyjo, I often wonder why I’m a nurse for that very same reason. Sometimes people are very hard to like. I was complaining to an old friend about people in general, and she imparted these words of wisdom: “The people that are the most difficult to love are the ones who need it the most.” I very much agree with her, but still…sometimes it just “Ugh!”
That’s a lovely sentiment. I saw that in the young man who said he didn’t care because no one else cares, I am paraphrasing. The woman shaving her legs, that’s just beyond gross…
When it comes to loving difficult people, I am a pro!???? what really gets me is the lack of basic social skills and manners. I feel like if you’re a careless pig, fine… just don’t be one in public.
Argh that youtube movie….. ???????????? i commuted for more than a decade and met some weird folks and situations, but i have never seen stuff like that. A woman shaving her legs…wtf!
Wtf, indeed! ????
I had to laugh at your description of oh dark too early!
I’m a regular poet????
Thanks for the link, Deva. The only thing I have not seen is open shaving but the rest, child’s play. Feet on seat – try BARE FEET on seat!
I am wearing Lush The Olive Branch body spray. It is the last FB I bought, and it is cheap.
I went looking for this but it wasn’t in our Lush. I tried one with a name like Snow Candy (?) that was sweet instead.
I do not know where you are, but I can see that The Olive Branch is not on Lush UK website anymore, so maybe it sold out (it was available for a limited time only).
You probably mean Snow Fairy. Yes, that one is very sweet.
Olive branch… does it smell like olives? Sorry if this is a dumb question…
Not at all! It does not really smell like olives (at least salty canned ones), but it smells a bit like olive oil and some herbs and vegetables you could find in a salad. But predominantly it smells of citrus – zesty and warm citrus scent, a nice pick-me-up in winter.
It’s 24 Faubourg for me today. Gotta run – have a happy Monday everyone. 🙂
You smell soooo good.
Very nice !
You smell fantastic!
Very classy!
Every year I say I’m not making a turkey and every year my son says, but mom, it’s thanksgiving….
Sotd is MJ Decadence, I really should have worn this for last weeks cp. Anyway, off to get a turkey now????????????
Aww, you are such a kind and wonderful mom!! Thanksgiving with turkey and all the trimmings is a boat load of work. I’m calling dibs on leftovers????
Hey.. I didn’t say anything about all the trimmings ????
You’re a good mom. Your son appreciates you, I’m sure!
Thanks KellyC, I think he does.
I never manage to get out of it either, even though I don’t even like turkey.
This year we are going out of town so all I have to do is make brussel sprouts with bacon.
Oh I love brussel sprouts. How do you make them with bacon?
I have been assigned this recipe — have never made it before and it probably isn’t what I’d pick:
https://www.thechunkychef.com/cheesy-brussels-sprouts-bacon/
Yum, that sounds good! I’m doing Brussels sprouts too but with caramelized shallots… this recipe is divine if anyone wants to try it. It is heavy on chopping labor, but worth it.
https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/brussels-sprout-hash-with-caramelized-shallots-240411
That looks like a wonderful recipe. Thanks for posting!
That looks fantastic and probably better than what I’m doing!
I love brussel sprouts with bacon! ????
Is your son going to help with the turkey this year? ????????
You know, I actually hadn’t thought of that, but now, I think he will! Thanks ????????
I’m in an old favorite: PG Bois Blond. Working today and tomorrow and then off to cook and clean and be home with my lovely pupkins (13 year old Golden Retriever).
Lol at pupkins! So cute????????
😀 She’s been the “pupkins” ever since we got her at 8 weeks old.
I love Bois Blond! I’m waiting for temperatures to be down in the 40s to start rocking it.
Yep. 36 this morning when I walked the pupkins.
You smell great. I’m anxiously looking forward to being home with my own pupkins tomorrow!
Yay!
Good morning….at least it’s a short work week, so we’ve got that going for us!
I’ve been spending the last few evening cleaning, organizing, and decluttering my perfume collection. Last night I found a forgotten gem, so I’m wearing it today: Scent Trunk “Aromatic Chypre 1”. Scent Trunk sent it to me based on a list of notes that I listed as loves, and they absolutely nailed it. It’s GLORIOUS! It was blended by Sarah McCartney, so it’s a little bit magical! 🙂
https://www.instagram.com/p/BqWW3tJhSz5/
So far I’ve given about 15 bottles of perfume away to coworkers….I no longer want to keep bottles that I don’t reach for. If I haven’t reached for it in a year, it’s G-O-N-E. Feels so good to rehome these lonely forgotten bottles! 🙂
Wow, you go girl! Too many bottles start to get nerve wracking after a while.
I did the same thing, I think I gave away 30 bottles. It feels good to find homes where perfumes will be loved and worn instead of neglected.
I should really jump on this bandwagon… I keep telling myself I’ll sell them online but a day must come where I admit to myself this isn’t happening.
This is me, as well. I really need a little money for future perfume purchases but I don’t know if the online selling plan I have in my head will ever become reality.
Selling is a pain, I prefer to just give them away to people who will love and wear them.
🙂
I could not be smeling better on my birthday in SSS Amber incense. A present from a very dear friend of mine. I really appreciate her kindness and friendship and I am loving this beauty to the max!
It is going to be a long, crazy day for me today. I came to work at 5:30am. I am out at one of the sites most of the day and later I will take my dog to the vet. He has been doing pretty bad for the past month and needs a gallbladder surgery. The surgeon will evaluate him today. Positive and healthy vibes for him are appreciated.
I will not do anything especial today. Just be thankful for the gift of another year and be quiet at home for the rest of the evening. I will meet my family on Thanksgiving day instead!
Have a happy and peaceful Monday everyone!
Happy Birthday perfumelover67!
Many more.

Happy birthday and best wishes for the pup <3
Good morning NST! I’m testing Olympic Orchids Devilscent #3. It’s a very good spiced incense, and for some reason despite nothing on the notes list to suggest it, it reminds me of some dark cherries soaked in brandy I once got to throw into drinks. I like.
Oh, that reminds me of a drink I had once with a special friend. It was so amazing with layers of flavor and fragrance, thanks to the cherries soaked in brandy.
Oh, now I need that!
It sounds wonderful! To my sample list it goes!
In Patou’s Joy parfum from a lovely NSTer. Oh the search for more of this beauty.
House twins! I love Joy, snatchep a bottle of old extrait de parfum from eBay years ago.
Hi twin!! ????Wow what a find!!
HI Flopper, I may be able to help you.
I sent you an email.
I’m wearing Mojave Ghost. The ambrette is really prominent today, and I am enjoying it greatly. Three students complimented me first thing this morning, which was a lovely way to start the day.
Have a great Monday – it’s really like Thursday because tomorrow is my last work day this week. Woo hoo!
Compliments are always so nice! Those students have great sensibilities!
Wahoo. Same here with tomorrow being my last day at work this week.
Milk of Flowers is an easy companion for air travel, especially since we had to leave the house early this morning. Will be landing shortly in Fort Myers.
Vacation?
Yep, my parents live in Fort Myers so we’re here until Thanksgiving night. So nice to dip in the gulf as the sun was setting and then have really good rum runners, conch fritters and blackened local grouper
Oh gosh but that sounds soooo nice!
How was your trip to Texas?
SOTD is Music for a While. As usual, I can’t identify any of the notes mentioned (discernible pineapple? nope) but I like how I smell.
I have been supplying (substituting to my American friends) quite a bit this fall in various school libraries. On the automated call out system, it warns you to “refrain from scented products due to allergy situations” but I dared to wear a bit of Fresh Cream body souffle one day. A little boy was looking at a book with me and said “Ohhh, you smell soooo good! Guys, she smells so good! She smells like marshmallows!” Whereupon the entire class had to crowd around and sniff me. Their teacher was admonishing, “Be polite! Be polite!” but of course, I loved it.
How adorable! The body cream is really nice.????????
How sweet! I just got some of that body cream myself.
That is fantastic!
How great! That body creme is so good.
So cute! I guess the kids don’t care about those rules, either ????
Beautiful!
This made my day, ScentSpirit!
Hey friends, I’m wearing my version of liquid courage to get through this morning’s flight from CA to Boise for work: Rose Flash! It’s kind of in keeping with the CP, in that it’s not terribly expensive?
I’ve got less than a two-hour flight, but still stressful: the airport sure was busy this morning. I’ve never seen a TSA Precheck line that long! Too many professionals in the Bay Area who need to fly regularly >:o My flight back to CA on Wednesday afternoon is sure to be a misery due to Thanksgiving.
Good luck with all the traveling this week!
Bon courage! I’m flying tomorrow morning and hoping it goes well. Hate flying.
I have to drive on Wednesday — good luck to us both!
Hoping that your travels are safe and with a minimum of aggro.
It may be worth it to fly back on T-day.
Mohur for Monday. Smells so good. Not feeling being at work this morning, but it’s a short week, so I’m trying to hang in there!
One more day and four days off, you can do it! 🙂
Hang in there KellyC!
You can do it, KellyC.
Hey guys!
1) In Aromatics Elixir shower gel and Carol’s Daughter Karite Coco cream, with Boucheron at pulse points.
2) I am doing T day this year (10 people!) so I bought a turkey, broke it down, and did a dry rub on it. Got two frozen pies to bake in the oven, acorn squash, greens from the garden, mushrooms from the woods, rolls from the bakery and people will bring wine. It is gonna be lit, and I will be expecting to see YOU at 6 pm SHARP.
What sort of mushrooms do you find? I have been foraging for morelles but have had no luck this spring.
Chanterelles! I went foraging with a skilled guide and we found a entire forest full of them. I have about 3 pounds of these!
That’s pretty cool! I’ll be there at 6!
There is gonna be so much wine to drink and ***** to smoke/inhale.
Wow, that is a good harvest.
If you haven’t seen this film I can recommend it
https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/now-forager-a-film-about-love-and-fungi-2012
Lucky you, finding chanterelles! ????????????
Can I bring 14 people 😉
We’ve had a bit of a cold blast, even had a dash of snow on the hill yesterday but all washed off now. The peony growers have lost most of their crop due to snow. I saw some electric neon pink peonies at the weekend and what a colour! Tuesday…so missed men’s day. So happy post-men’s day!! Or men’s plus one day! Or men: the day after, day! Or men, so yesterday day! Seriously, happy men’s day. You know who you are.
SL Bapteme de Feu. Guests here all week so I am back on the couch. Go well!
Mmm, love Baptême du Feu!
Men, so yesterday day — this made me choke on my tea.
Feeling bad for peonies, boo.
In Sacrebleu Intense. Got it through an NST swap a while back. This is one I must remember smells very different on my skin. Quick sniffs of the bottle usually leave me cold, but on my skin, warm, it is lovely.
(Air quality update: Weather people are promising rain this week. Fingers crossed we’ll have better air quality by Wed!)
International Men’s Day? Why not? This month is a big deal for women’s rights activists. 16 Days of Activism starts on November 25–it is the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The last day, Dec. 10, is International Human Rights Day. (International Women’s Day is March 8).
I hope you get your rain. The photos are so grim
The entire West Coast needs rain- I hope we all get a good shower or ten.
Trying to use up partial bottles (with only a spritz or two left) so I have to pack less perfumes for our upcoming move. Wearing Aveda’s Purefume spray and matching body oil. I wish Aveda still made these – they’re wonderful! I don’t remember the name, but it’s the one that smells like a combo of Brilliance and Confixor. Spices & resins. 😀
Oooh, where are you moving to? My brother lived in an apartment off Parnasus when he was attending UCSF.
Ocean Beach! And I can’t wait!
Traveling with just sample vials, today s Ex Nihilo Love and Crime. Pleasant and unremarkable.
That’s to bad. With a name like that, it should smell remarkable.
Not to mention the exorbitant price.
Was going to start finishing off a bottle of no 19 today but Zagorsk called my name. I will start no 19 tomorrow.
Looks like we have a community project coming up that features numbers, so you’ll have a perfect fit! I’m excited for that one – didn’t realize I’d have so many that fit the bill.
You gotta go with the perfume that calls to you!
Moschino by Moschino today.
I don’t often see Moschino mentioned here, although I love some of their fragrances, including Funny! and Oh de Moschino.
Hello Yasmina: Glad you like Moschino offerings too! Funny! is lovely in summer, I love its citrus, and I consider the original Moschino a smoother version of CK Obsession, and it has great longevity on my skin. I’ve never tried Oh, I’ll put it on my sample list.
I smell amazing in Cuir de Lancome, which I should really wear more often. It’s gorgeous. I decided to wear from my neglected bottles this week. I tend to wear from samples and decants more often as I try to use them up. But I have so many good bottles that deserve love and wear.
Boyfriend is going back in for a CT scan of his abdomen today. He’s had a 101 fever since since yesterday and belly pain. Hoping it’s just inflammation post surgery or an infection that antibiotics will cure. Really don’t want him to have an abcess…
Oh dear. Here’s hoping antibiotics take care of it.
And you smell gorgeous! CdL is incomparable.
Oh, dear ???? I hope it’s an easy fix for him. And you do smell amazing, twin!
All best to your bf. That sounds miserable 🙁
Oh no! I hope everything goes fine for him and he starts feeling better soon!
oh geez, so sorry your BF is having complications. Wishing you both the best…????
Sending mega healing vibes for your bf!
Yes. best wishes to your BF!
I am sending you gobs of good vibes.
Keep up the positivity and great perfumery!
Oy vey! Your poor bf. I hope that things get resolved soon and easily.
I hope he gets the help he needs and starts to feel better soon!
Yikes. Sending healing thoughts to your BF!
Do let us know what happens!
I’m in the cheapest of the cheap thrills I own. Old Spice Amber body spray. Sprayed it about two hours ago on my wrist, and it’s nice and soft. I really need to wear this more often.
Nice! I have the regular Old Spice cologne spray (also the cheapest of my cheap thrills!) and now I’ll have to wear it this week.
Such good stuff.
I don’t know the Amber spray LizzieB, is it very different?
I’m wearing Promesse de l’Aube for a grocery trip and then I have to fix the lights on the outdoor Christmas tree. Last year I noticed a branch was out. Also, I’m trying to grow out my hair a little bit, from super short to cover-the-ears short. It’s at the terrible stick-out-all-over stage and the hairdresser is in the same shopping complex as the grocery store. Must remain strong.
Foxbins, I believe in you! Growing out short hair is no joke (so I’m keeping my pixie cut forever! ????)
Hair that’s “sticking out all over” is very hip right now (says the homeless looking fashionista!) I’m sure it will work out great. Go rogue and let it be wild, free, and unfettered!
I’m doing the same thing with my hair and suffering from the same in-between frustrations. We must remain strong!
Best of luck with the hair!
I lived through the awkward grow-out phase so I know exactly what you are talking about!
I used pins, barrettes, products and pretty much anything I could get my hands on. Finally I have a stylist who ‘gets’ my hair; its down past my shoulders now. Hang in there!
Tip from the Dr. Oz show: instead of using a towel to dry your hair, use a 100% cotton T-shirt.
That’s a standard curly hair girl move!
Winter is back again – grrr! At least I can comfort myself with Chambre Noir, a winter favourite that I didn’t wear much this year.
That’s a lovely one, I need to wear it again soon too.
Wearing Cuir de Lancome today since I was tired this am after a busy, somewhat stressful weekend. CdL is a no-brainer for me.
Hope it’s a less stressful week for you.
You smell great! Hope you can get some relief from the stress!
I hope your week goes better than your weekend. You smell very lovely !
Hope the CdL does the trick!
Aww, thanks for the love, peeps! It wasn’t a bad weekend, just needed to get something done that was labor intensive and involved a fair amount of coordination, so stressful that way. But it was all towards a good cause so happy ending!
Glad to hear that your weekend was just busy crazy, and not crazy crazy.
I have been absent from NST for a week. I was in Orlando for a week on vacation, where I bought some perfumed souvenirs. One of them I am wearing today, AdP Magnolia Nobile. I have been admiring this scent for a while and I have gone through two decants.
Also, I am on my third cup of Shalimar tea.
Is there a good perfumery in Orlando?
I shopped in Disneyworld EPCOT, in the world showcase section 🙂 In France –Guerlain, Givenchy, Dior, Mugler and Kenzo are sold. In United Kingdom — Penhaligons and Yardley are sold. In Italy — Acqua di Parma, Bvlgari and Prada are sold.
That was my guess!
But my favorite store there was Japan — all those cool dishes.
Did you get the edp or the edt? I found them quite different but both lovely.
I bought a bottle of the EDP
Thanks for the shopping report on EPCOT. I never made it there when I visited Disney World.
Oh wow – I have been to Epcot several times and never thought to look for perfume! That’s awesome
My sister and brother-in-law just returned from Disneyworld last night. They were there from Tuesday to Sunday.
Sotd was Ormonde Woman
I visited Vienna last weekend and had a blast. I put two sets of photos on ny Insta
Main reason for me to go was the big Bruegel exhibition in the Kunsthistorisches Museum.
The Beethoven frieze by Klimt in the Secession building was gorgeous as well, but not very photogenic.
Not sure if you see this but wondering who modeled for the pic of a cute girl on the broom with a cat on board? Glad you had a nice weekend. It sounds amazing.
No model was used.
Just my imagination. 🙂
Neat Ruhr Museum photo.
Thank you!
The museum is nice but a bit of a mash up (three local museum collections thrown together in one huge building). They offered some interesting displays though.
The whole industrial complex of the Zollverein is amazing though. And there is a coal museum as well in another building and that was a neat and modern exhibition of everything coal mining related.
Beautiful!
It’s MDCI’s Invasion Barbare for me today.
I haven’t worn this one in a long time
Rough Monday.!
I think maybe a rich luxurious Amber tomorrow would pull me along….
So sorry it was a rough day!
I heard on one of the newscasts that I watch that today is also World Toilet Day. Could be appropriate, depending on how your Monday is going.
SOTD = Knize Ten, from the sample stash. This waited far too long for me to try it. It’s pretty darn good!
YUP! that would just about match MY Monday 🙁
That’s a bummer!
????????
World toilet day is a fitting description for my day. I’m sure you smell fantastic but I am not familiar with KT.
Knize Ten starts off as LEATHER!! Spicy, heavy, some smoke and a little oily, but not masculine to my nose. Definitely unisex or shared. It calms down quite a bit after an hour or so, and eventually becomes a skin scent on me. It is definitely a leather scent the whole time I wear it.
Everybody calls Knize Ten a leather but I’ve never perceived that. I wear it because it’s the best carnation fragrance I know of. I’m definitely the odd man out here.
I also get mostly carnation in KT, so I’ll be the odd woman out with you.
Toilet Day for me today ????
????, ????????, or ?????????????
All of the above ????
2018 has pretty much been Toilet Year for me, so sorry I missed the chance to honor the day 🙂
SotD = Tam Dao
Bleargh, cold and cloudy here, Tam Dao is comfort and strength.
I didn’t know there is an International Men’s Day. Let’s hear it for the boys! 😀
LOVE Eau Sauvage. I sneak sniffs and spritzes when I see a tester bottle and I’m not already overly scented.
Same weather here. ???? The only nice thing about it is being able to pull out and enjoy some cozy, cuddly scents.
yes to cozy and cuddly! 😀
My husband decided to celebrate the day by coming down with a serious Man Cold. So he is on the couch and I am fetching the ginger tea at regular intervals 🙂
Sampled BF Vetiverissimo and really liked it. i have liked a lot of the vetivers that I have come across.
Vetiver is good stuff!
I’m wearing some vintage Diorissimo tonight. Made it through the busy day at work today.
We are off to Orlando tomorrow for almost a month! Woohoo!
Wow, you smell great and have a blast!
Thank you Petunia. I certainly will! Its been a long wait for this trip!
Vintage Diorissimo is drop dead gorgeous! Enjoy your trip!
Thank you.. I will. There’s 4 of us going together; we always have so much fun!
Good for you!
Another late day for me. Work is really cutting into my social life. SOTD was Fetes Persane by MDCI. So glad Monday is over!
Hopefully you have a short work week?
Rude, isn’t it? ???? You smelled delish, though!
SOTD = Chanel No. 19 EDP
OMG, little did I know it turned out to be one of the days that only No.19 can save the day. Let me count the ways:
1) I left my cell phone at home. Yep, I did. I survived, but barely.
2) Commuting Woes galore – my commute in the morning was 30 minutes longer than usual and I almost missed a meeting! We were told it’s because of signal problem. I think it’s because it’s Monday.
3) I read an email wrong and made a stupid comment.
Banking Woes:
✅ The good news: I was able to transact moving moving funds from matured CDs to my checking account. Yay!
❎ The bad news: it will take 3 business days for the funds to be credited to my account. Say what? ????????????. Same bank, all accounts under my name. What the what? The CSR said he will file a complaint on my behalf and I said OK, but I expect a call back from someone acknowledging receipt of my complaint and an explanation of why it would take 3 business days.
Weekend – woohoo! Chopard Casmir was cheap and a thrill, a no brainer office friendly perfume. ???? lillyjo!
Pet Peeves:
– I was behind a police car. It made 2 turns and changed lanes twice and the driver never used any turn signals! I bet if it was behind a car where the driver did not use turn signals, the cop would have found an excuse to snag the driver.
– I bought two papayas at Wegmans. The cashier looked at them and asked me what they were. What else are they not teaching kids these days?
– Why do people insist on tailgating me during a snowstorm when I am going just a little bit under the speed limit in a 2 lane road that had not been plowed?
– Why are people so impatient that they will maneuver over a bank of snow to go on their way while a smaller car was clearly in trouble with wheels spinning and digging itself further into the snow , angled diagonally on above 2 lane road and partially blocking both directions? I stopped 20 feet from the car and thank God a Good Samaritan plow truck driver pushed the car out of the rut.
Sounds like you had a Monday to beat all Mondays! Bleah!
Bleah is right!
Banks are too much. A couple of weeks ago, the ATM at the main bank malfunctioned & didn’t dispense my cash. The bank gave me a “provisional” credit whilst they “investigate.” Grrr.
Have you ever popped by the Chanel boutique? Wondering if you’ll get a chance to try out 1957 one of these days and report back to us.
Oooh, maybe I’ll do that on Wednesday but may need to wait until December 21st unless I take another day off earlier in December. I have a first world problem of having vacation days I cannot use up in a year.
Wow, the nerve of the bank!
And I meant to mention transact over the phone vs having to show up at a branch
I can beat you on that one — I had to identify a pear for cashier a few weeks ago! Not even an Asian pear or a Bosc pear or anything unusual, just a regular green pear.
That’s crazy.
Hi everyone, I’m very late tonight but have enjoyed reading through ALL the comments and hearing about many people’s bad days and some good things and scent choices. I’m back in Michigan for another two-week visit to help look after my mom. We took her for a follow-up at the memory care unit today and it seems her medication has really helped some–she scored higher on the cognitive test! We had thick snow Sunday morning but it’s mostly gone now. It was kind of pretty but I did not enjoy having to clean off my car in the morning for the first time in 30+ years! SoTD was MFK Oud Satin Mood. Not a particular reason to wear it except it’s so smooth and comfortable and pretty and I don’t have a lot with me to choose from–I find it hard to select perfumes to have with me when I travel. We’ll be having Thanksgiving dinner out with relatives at a restaurant in Ann Arbor and I’m glad that no one has to get stressed out over cooking and cleanup, though I do love cooking parts of the dinner myself. This should be relaxing and the weather forecast does NOT include snow and ice this week so that’s good too.
Hurray for good news about your mom!
That’s wonderful news, Calypso! I hope you have a great week. ????
Boo on the snow, but that’s great news about your Mom.
Welcome to Michigan and that’s great news about your mom. Which restaurant if you don’t mind sharing?
I was in Musc Ravageur early in the day, with an added spritz of Chanel Eau Premiere this evening.
