Hump Day, plus Stress Awareness Day (check) plus Bittersweet Chocolate with Almonds Day (to help with the stress). What fragrance are you wearing?
Me: off season again, in CB I Hate Perfume On A Clear Day You Can See Forever. I smell fantastic.
Reminder: on 11/9, wear a fragrance by Carthusia, CB I Hate Perfume, Comptoir Sud Pacifique or Czech & Speake, if you have one. Partial credit for any other small-ish brand that starts with the letter C.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2018, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

In OJ Woman today – take THAT, Stress! 😉
Rock on sista
Yeah!
You smell amazing!
You smell great!
Good one!
I wore Woman this weekend. It is so good. You smell fab.
Considered CSP Abricot Vanille but then went for Boucheron Jaipur, the better apricot.
And hey, I’m aware of stress every day!
You smell lovely! I have a mini of Jaipur and am always happy when I dab some on.
Same! I’ve had a mini that has lasted me years and still smells good.
Wonderful choice, I have a bottle of Jaipur, it really is lovely.
I really like Jaipur as well! You smell amazing!
I am not familiar with your scent, Robin, but this picture fits the scent’s name perfectly.
I am wearing Carthusia Capri Forget Me Not for the first time.
It is a very fresh and green blend of aromatic and citrus notes. The opening is brilliant – it smells as if I took a handful of grass, aromatic herbs and lemon peel and rubbed all of this against my skin. Sadly the scent loses a lot of its juiciness as it dries. Very nice, although I still prefer Mediterraneo.
I don’t think I ever got around to trying Forget Me Not, so glad if Mediterraneo is better.
Hiris today, from an older bottle. I didn’t like this one the first few times I tried it, but I’ve warmed to it now.
Blessedly off from work today but sadly didn’t get to sleep in. I’ll have to find time for a nap later. 🙂
You can come nap with my little ones if you want..there is room 😉
Ha, sounds wonderful! ????
Can I come too?
Yes..do you want a snack first?
Hiris isn’t my fav iris either. I like it but there are definitely others I prefer.
Hey Twin–Hiris it is…mixed with a little leftover Kelly Caleche on yesterday’s sweatshirt. Shower and dress up later with something entirely new!
Happy Diwali to all those who celebrate. May the divine light of Diwali spread into your life Peace, Prosperity, Happiness and Good Health!
I am torn on my SOTD since I got my split package yesterday and I want to pick one for Diwali tonight.
I have Jul et Mad Nin-Sha on one wrist
and Mendittorosa Le Mat on the other.
I will decide later but am more than happy if anyone wants to chose for me.
Bittersweet chocolate is the best! with Almonds or plain or with anything. I have a bar in my fridge always! 2-4 squares a day!
Merry Diwali, Lovestosmellgood! ????????????????
I’m wearing Chanel No 5 EDP Red. ????????❤
????????????✌
????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????????⚪????⚪????
Red?
Just the bottle, but it smells better on and to me than the EDP I purchased in the early’90s. Which I cannot locate………
Organization (Serenity) NOW! !!!!! ????????????
Oh! One of the red bottles. Beautiful. And you smell gorgeous.
You smell great and thank you for all the balls!
I’m jealous ltsg. I never get that many balls????????????????
Oh darn, sorry I missed Diwali again.
Darn, me too. I remember one year I had attended a Diwali/Indian cultural festival at our local library and witnessed an amazing dance performance from a very gifted native dancer. And young, she was still in high school, but quite talented.
Happy Diwali!
Thank you!
Happy Diwali. Enjoy your evening
Diwali! I will be lighting candles, making kurd/yogurt rice, spicy chickpea/tomato stew, a bright green salad and plenty of fried treats!
Happy Diwali!
Happy Diwali! Enjoy!
Happy Diwali! And I am 100% with you on the bittersweet chocolate. Yum!
Happy Diwali, Lovestosmellgood!
Happy Diwali! I hope you’re having a wonderful evening.
Another seldom-worn favorite today, Passage d’Enfer. It’s so perfect.
I love Passage d’Enfer, you smell great!
Just poking around online and seeing a lot of listings for “Passage d’Enfer Eau d’Encens” – is that different or just like a subtitle, anybody know? I’m guessing it’s the same?
Yes, same thing.
Mmmm. You smell wonderful.
CBIHP North Atlantic.
As someone who lives in the middle of the North Atlantic, I originally ordered this decant out of idle curiosity. This scent actually does quite a good job of representing the cold, grey Atlantic Ocean.
Curiosity piqued!
Ditto.
Must try
How cool, never heard of that one!
SotD = Eau de Guerlain
Gorgeous photo!
EdG feels icy cool this morning, bracing, very refreshing.
I always have dark chocolate covered almonds from Trader Joe’s on hand. They do help with stress, unless I eat too many, then the chocolate makes my heart race. Too much is never enough with some things!
Everything in moderation..
Wish I could say the same thing about perfume though 😉
Yeah, that never works for me with perfume. 😉
ha! moderation is not why we’re here. 😀
I love Eau de Guerlain. You smell great.
thank you, KellyC, I love it too. It’s one of a few perfumes I smell and always think everyone needs to try it at least once.
You smell so elegant.
thanks, Aurora! I think EdG is perfect, and elegant is exactly right. 🙂
I am wearing Aedes de Venustas. I love rhubarb scents.
I will have to try my sample that again. I did not get rhubarb.
On my skin it started off with a sharp rhubarb scent, which has dried down to a vague spice.
Me too! I just bought some B*Men (partly on Bear’s recommendation and partially because RHUBARB!) and it smells terrific.
????????Excellent, Coumarin! ????????????✌
Then you have to try Parfums de Marly Delina
The non Exclusif / non Extrait version.
SOT(Y)D was JM’s English Pear and Freesia. I was a bit hesitant to wear it because freesia is one of my least favorite notes, but I was pleasantly surprised with it, it was actually one of the nicer scents I have used in a while. The other notes blended nicely together with the freesia, it was very well done.
Not sure what I will wear today. Perhaps some Euphoria? It depends on my mood. 🙂
How’s the pear note? Juicy pear or more dried pear?
I find it more like tinned pears, kind of syrupy
Ok, maybe that better describes it. Juicy it is then!
Hmm, dried pear, maybe? I’m not really familiar with pear (I don’t eat them either, lol), but the fragrance had a nice sultry-floral ‘feel’ to it, perfect for our yucky rainy weather yesterday too.
I am wearing Sisley Eau de 2 and drinking a cup of black tea
I have had no tea today…must change this!
I am just sitting down with a nice cup of Mariage Freres Lune Rouge.
Wearing AC Silver Iris just because…….
Oh, you smell lovely!
Thank you Lillyjo! ????
You smell great! That was my wedding scent.
Thank you! You chose an amazing perfume for your wedding.
Chocolate helps everything. And aren’t we all aware of stress?
Opium today, found a mini recently. Not sure of it’s age but it smells great, the weather is cold and rainy here. Beautiful photo, R!
Haha. Yes. Something to celebrate is when we are less aware of our stress! But it is true that whole communities live under massive levels of stress that is hardly acknowledged by themselves or anyone else. Sigh! And now I just feel stressed . . .
I’m sure the craziness that was Election Day didn’t help either. Hope you feel better, tho!
I don’t know. I think some of us get so used to a certain level of stress that we aren’t totally aware of it?
Not speaking for myself, as I am aware I am completely stressed 🙂
Bottega Veneta for me this morning. Such a perfect fragrance for a day of travel. I find it calming and elegant.
You smell wonderful.
Thank you! ????
You smell wonderful, calming and elegant. Think I’ll wear this tomorrow.
Agreed! You smell great!
Gorgeous scent! ????????
I started the day in Iris Nazarena for a lunch date.
And now, after a 5 km run in the rain followed by a hot shower, I am wearing Jasmin Rouge.
5 PM and it is already dark outside argh. ????
You have smelled wonderful the whole day! Two amazing, beautiful perfumes!
Two of my favourite scents!
Mainstream Wednesday here in Oakland: Donna Karan Cashmere Aura. Like this one but wish it were just a titch less sweet and less laundry musky.
Hey ratbag, missed your birthday last week so happy birthday ( overdue reminder) and have a good year
Today I’m wearing Narcisco Eau de Poudree.
I really like that one. You smell good!
Wearing Portrait of a lady on a very rainy grey day. Contemplating what to wear this evening for a work meal.
You smell terrific! I need to find my decant of PoAL asap!
Lovely photo, Robin. I do miss fall colors, we don’t really have them here where I live. Except for one lone aspen that someone planted way across the canyons, it is a lovely spike of gold in a sea of dark green.
Happy Birthday to me! That’s more of a wish than a reality. Taking kitty to the vet for chemo this morning, taking husband in to the doctor for checkup & PT this afternoon. 2018 can’t end fast enough. Yeah I’m aware of stress. And I’ll take some dark chocolate for that later, though I’ll pass on the almonds.
I think I’ll declare a second birthday in a few months. When it might actually be fun 🙂
No scent yet with all these medical visits. Maybe this evening.
Happy Birthday Pixel! ????????????????????????
????????????????????
Happy Birthday!
Many more, pixel!
????????????✌
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday anyway. We’ll just celebrate that you are you!
Happy Birthday, Pixel. I’m sorry your day is filled with appointments. Hope you wear something beautiful this evening and enjoy some chocolate.
Many happy returns, Pixel, such a shame you can’t enjoy it properly today, maybe things will look up later on though, the day is not over.
Happy Birthday 🙂
Monthly birthdays ! Have a happy day today, anyway.
Happy birthday!????
Happy birthday, Pixel! Cheering for your kittycat thru her/his chemo and hubby thru PT. Please try to treat yourself to something a little fun today, even if it’s a laugh-out-loud re-run of your fave sit-com.
Happy birthday, dear pixel! Yes! Spray with abandon this evening.
Happy Birthday, and DO celebrate it later on when it can be more fun. Good luck with both kitty and husband.
Happy birthday Pixel!
Happy Birthday!
Happy birthday! ????
Happy Birthday! Hope your day is epicly awesome! Any birthday scents for yourself on your shopping list?
I hope you’ll find some time today to make yourself feel a little special!
Happy birthday – although I agree you deserve a re-do, maybe in a few months?
Happy Birthday, even if it is a stressful one. I think a 2nd birthday is a great idea!
A very happy birthday to you! But do reschedule it, why not?
Scented Birthday wishes headed your way, Pixel! ???????????????? Hope that all those appointments turned out OK.
Happy birthday Pixel! For all the times you celebrate it this year.
Happy Birthday pixel! I hope you were able to take a few moments for yourself today.
In honor of Bittersweet chocolate day – I’m wearing Serge Luten’s Borneo 1834. 🙂
In celebration, I’m making GF bittersweet dark chocolate torte (it’s made with Gluten-free lady fingers, soaked in Grand Mariner liqueur). Happy Hump day everyone! 🙂
Can I come over and have some torte?
If anyone wants the recipe, please pm me at
ldetrich in the land of yahoo.
Although I generally pride myself on healthy recipes, I don’t skimp on chocolate, of any kind and I am happy to share. 🙂
The torte sounds delish and I bet you smell wonderful, it’s one SL I haven’t tried but I hope to some day.
Do you want to come over and celebrate Diwali with us..you can bring that chocolate torte
Sure! Happy to! With or without whipped cream? I’ll bring the Cuban coffee… 😀
Wow, that does sound good.
Glorious day here: 59 and sunny. Morning got off to a bumpy start when I grabbed my work bag, got halfway to the subway and kept smelling cat pee, realized it was coming from me!! My boy cat peed in my work bag ???? Had to go back home and find the only other bag that fits my stuff which is a messenger bag I take to the beach, so it had some sand in the bottom and the remnants of some chocolate that melted in there. I’m a one bag kinda person, but I think I need to invest in BUBs.
Anyway, SOTD is MDCI CIO Cio San, cheerful cherry blossom that smells like Rose candy and matches my heathered raspberry sweater.
Haha, I’m not happy that it happened to you, but I AM glad to hear these kinds of things happen to others besides me!
Ha! Yes, it’s good to have company ????
No fun! Hope the rest of the day is less eventful.
Thanks! It was actually a pretty stressful workday, too, but that’s rare for me, so no complaints here.
Cat pee is the worst smell..
It isn’t a great smell, agreed.
The wrong kind of surprise, glad you realized before starting your commute, the kitty should be ashamed, maybe use some deterrent spray for a little while.
Well, we’d have to spray the whole apartment! He’s very creative about where he chooses to leave his business. He does it when he’s anxious so not a regular occurrence, fortunately.
We recently acquired my FILs dog and I made the mistake of putting the dog treats in the same cabinet as the cat food. My cat, who is normally very good, sprayed my lower cabinets when I wasn’t looking. I doused the cabinets with Nature’s Miracle and washed everything with white vinegar. I learned my lesson moved the dog treats to another room entirely. It sounds funny but I feel your pain. ????????
Oh, dear! They’re very territorial, these creatures!
Echoing SpringPansy in that *boo-hiss* for the cat pee in bag, but I’m glad to know mine isn’t the only cat who relieves herself in strange places.
It’s their thang, I guess. Though my female cat doesn’t do that, thankfully!
Your actual scent sounds lovely. Cherry blossom!
I feel your pain…your bag brings back memories of my husband’s cat Fiona. She peed on anything left on the floor. We had to warn all visitors. She ruined many bags and suitcases before we figured it out. (She was basically telling him that he travelled too much).
But…because I adored Fiona (even when she’d give me these looks saying “he’s mine” as she sat on my husband’s chest) this made me smile. So thanks for that. But I am sorry….
Awww, our girl cat (my avatar) is Fiona, Fifi for short!
We’ve had the same suitcase issue. Amazing the connections they make, isn’t it?
this made me laugh – sorry. Our cat growing up would pee in suitcases when my mother would lay them out to pack for summer vacation. He also peed on new rugs (which is why we never got any).
Ugh, I’m so glad he doesn’t pee on rugs!
Thanks for reminding me that cleaning up hairballs and cat barf isn’t nearly as bad as dealing with cat pee.
Our cat once peed on my shoes, but it was cold enough that I didn’t catch the smell until I was at work. I had to wear my gym flip flops all day.
I’m definitely very aware of my stress. I have been fairly successful in dealing with it lately by working to stay hydrated and finding time for exercise (even if only 20 minutes). Although, I still eat too many cookies…
Scent today: Mure et Musc solid. It’s fairly wafty for a solid and comes in such nice packaging.
All very good ways of helping to deal with stress. Especially cookies. 😉
I had a sample of that in the regular ‘juice’ form. I remember it was a nice floral-y scent but it also did not last very long.
The only Cs I have right now are Chanel and Comme des Garcons. I’m in Avignon today and loving it.
I think Chanel is the only house I have with the letter C
That just gave me an idea because I too am very low on C perfumes. But I can wear CdG Concrete and get double credit! or at least, double partial credit. 😉
I just had to put on some MH Fleurs de Sel today and it smells so good! I think it will take care of any stress that comes along. I also had some dark chocolate (Chocolove with Ginger – 65% maybe? Don’t have the wrapper any more) earlier. It’s dark, but not bitter and there were no almonds.
I like that bar, and the Chocolove with dried cherries too.
Celebrating a rare sunny day in Chanel No 22. Partial credit for the cp.
You smell so wonderful. I was considering No. 22 for my wedding in January but it’s not my fiance’s fav…too many aldehydes lol. Gonna go with something wintry and sultry- just gotta decide what haha.
My vote would be Noir de Noir even though I’ve never smelled it. Lol.
I know you’ve mentioned your guy likes that one and it would be a lovely scent association for your special day.????
That’s definitely in the running. He also comments every time I wear Geisha Noire so that’s a possibility too.
I vote for GN. It reminds me so much of Shalimar.
What I really want to wear is Baccarat Rouge 540 but I don’t have any haha and probably can’t afford it before January. I may can get my hands on a little decant though.
KellyC, I have a 5 ml manufacturer’s sample of Baccarat 540 that I’d love to send to you. Please shoot me an e-mail at payne underscore cm at the yahoo if you’re interested.
Oh my gosh, I’m happy to pay you for it! I’ll email you!
Enjoy your sunny day!!????????
Its been dreary for so long now that I actually feel gitty today. Really, it is a relief. ????
Oops..giddy!
I considered no 22 today, myself, but I hadn’t worn this MDCI since last Spring. You smell lovely!
Seeing the sun today did wonders, didn’t it? ????????????????
One of the lovely things about walking in the graveyard is that at this time of year the birds are staking out territories so you walk through very specific sound zones from top to bottom. In the native bush at the top is a shining cuckoo with a long rise and fall whistle. Next comes the kingfisher high up in a pine tree making a sharp peeping. The kowhai trees below belong to the nectar feeders, the tui and bellbird. Chafffinches and seed feeders are in the silver birch. As i get closer to the grass there are thrush and blackbirds…all singing loudly. I hardly ever see some of the birds…have only seen a shining cuckoo once in my life…but I hear their calls and it is such a pleasure to map out my walk in terms of bird calls. So e days is is loud, a real chorus. It’s a bit of a shame that so many people keep their ear buds in and don’t pause and listen. A small dab of The Yard Next Door , dark morning, heavy rain.
Lovely. Enjoying your bird sounds vicariously.
This is a very good reminder for one to just stop and listen to the environment that is all around. Sometimes i forget to do that.
Now I must look up shining cuckoo! Your description really is evocative. I heard bellbirds for the first time ever when I visited the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne last summer. They sound wonderful and are so aptly named.
Your descriptions of walks and nature in NZ make me want to visit – I’ve only made it as far as Australia.
Sounds like quite the chorus! I love sitting around listening to the sounds of nature.
What a lovely image. It reminded me of being out for a walk the other day and passing by some bushes where there must have been hundreds of birds singing away. It was so loud and cheerful it made me giggle and smile at strangers. I couldn’t see a single bird in there though, just heard them. I do wish I was more knowledgeable about our feathered friends, I have no idea what type they were.
Wow. I really need to take more walks and appreciate what’s around me.
Casmir! Day 2. It smelled so good yesterday, I decided to wear it again today. I may just wear it again tomorrow. I’m down to the last couple mls in my bottle, and I gotta say, that bottle design is a very poor one for trying to spray the last few drops. I’ve tried to take the sprayer completely off, but it is tight. Might need some pliers.
It is dreary here. Again.???? I was off work yesterday and basically drank coffee and tea all day. I finished reading Gone Girl (I know, late to the party on that one) and then binge watched some amazon prime. Feeling equally uninspired today. I need some sun. Bad!
Well, at least I smell good.????
I feel your pain. I hope the rest of the week is endless sunshine! ????
I use those flat rubber-y disks that one uses for opening jars and such for those stubborn spray toppers that are tough to remove. Because I am just more stubborn, lol. 😉
when it comes to books you are never late to the party, in my opinion.
Thank you for the wonderful description of the concert of birds.
The graveyard is on a steep hill next to the botanic gardens on one side and a big hill reserve on the other ( where I also walk in the pines) so lots of trees
http://nzbirdsonline.org.nz/species/shining-cuckoo
Thanks for the link!
Thank you for the link! Those stripes! My mother is an avid birder and is almost never without her binoculars. I’m slowly getting more interested – at least looking around more when I hear stuff, but not going out just to bird yet! It is thrilling to see something new and try to figure out what it is.
What a cool-looking bird! Thanks for posting the link.
Continuing with Cacharel, after Loulou, yesterday, it’s Anais Anais Premier Delice today which has a nice chocolate note skillfully blended with pear on a bed of flowers, it could have been horrible instead it’s really well done.
Huh, never heard of that one. Sounds interesting!
Late today! My computer decided to crash and burn, but my IT guy has brought it back…. 🙂
Wearing Jessica Simpson Vintage Bloom today…..I smell of peonies and lemons. The sprayer on my bottle acts more like a squirt gun, so I got a bigger dose than I wanted, but it has dried down quite nicely a few hours in….
That’s a very nice one, actually! You smell great!
Late to this!
1) Diwali! I am making a small scale feast tonight for Diwali, and will be lighting the house with loads of votive candles and fairy lights!
2) Am in Boucheron- perfect for this gray day!
Happy Diwali! Blessed wishes for you and your family
Happy Diwali!
Pawed through but couldn’t find the Carthusia sample I was seeking. I know there is one hiding somewhere around here. I’ll keep looking.
So, I finished a sample of Bas de Soie but then followed up with Boyfriend. Just not feeling it.
Minor stress… Asked the husband to go online to get our tickets to see Trouble With Angels on the big screen this weekend (fabulous Hayley Mills, Roz Russell movie.). Site was showing it was sold out! I was so disappointed. But as he looked further, we decided it was a glitch so called box office. Not sold out. Tried again. Got ‘em! I love this movie and have never seen it in a theater.
Saw “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” With Melissa McCarthy yesterday. It was good but a bit difficult. She plays someone quite unlikeable. McCarthy was very, very good in it. Most good comedians can do straight roles.
Okay…I realize that doesn’t even count as stress… just silly disappointment….
I’ve heard good things about that Melissa McCarthy movie! Sounds interesting.
It is. But it is also uncomfortable. Which is not a bad thing.
I get weepy every time Rosalind Russell hugs the casket.
Excellent movie.
????????????✌
Excellent film….Hey Bear, you know that they filmed it in our neck of the woods at one of the schools on the Main Line.
I forgot that, but you are correct, jepster. Thanks for jostling my memory! ????????????✌
Oh yes. My husband has never seen it, so I’m sure he’ll be surprised by that and will be full on crying. He’ll be mad I didn’t warn him. ????????
L’Attesa from Masque Milano today. And this sample is thunk!
RIP L’Attesa! 😀
a moment of silence.
Congrats on your THUNK!
I’m still commando but got an idea from up above. It’s ridiculously warm still here in Houston–got up to 86 yesterday, with the same predicted for today. A big front will come through tomorrow, bringing rain and perhaps hail, and cool things down by 20 or 30 degrees. Nothing moderate for Texas! At least it’s pretty and sunny out. It’s got the plants deceived though—I’m seeing magnolia trees in bloom again, and azaleas, too.
I guess that’s ridiculous but I would take it happily!
Hello all! On theme again today – CSP Matin Calin from a very old sample that must have come with a swap. Smells like caramel, slightly milky.
I always enjoy my chocolate dark and with almonds, but not quite bittersweet (though lately it has been the kids’ Halloween candy, which is more milk chocolate 😉 Don’t tell!) . Favorite is Chocolove Almonds & Sea Salt in dark chocolate (55%). 65% is probably my dark chocolate limit.
That is my husband’s favorite bar, and we buy them by the case 🙂
I probably should too! I always end up trying new things or buying stuff because it’s on sale – save more money buying in bulk the things I actually like!
Hello all. Tam Dao today, because I just needed its steadiness and serenity. Got romantically rejected once again this past weekend, and just feeling ready to give up on trying in that area of my life (dating in New York is miserable). So the comfort of Tam Dao is doing what it can, and I appreciate it.
I hope everyone has a good day.
(((hugs))) on the dating issues. Hope Tam Dao gives you peace.
You smell peaceful and lovely. Sending hugs.
Whoever rejected you, is clearly an idiot. You are awesome! ????❤
I’ve heard that. My husband’s niece lived in NYC for several years. She said the same about dating. Hugs to you.
Dating in New York is the worst; I did it for a decade. I don’t know what it is about that place, but it isn’t you. Sending love.
Good luck. You are lovely and charming! You’ll find a great match when you least expect it!
Oh Sweetie, nothing has changed….I was young and lovely in NYC in the late 80’s and dating sucked. It’s not you, trust me it will get better, keep an open heart.
My theory is that there is so much selection in NY that people have ridiculously over the top expectations, which leads to perfectly wonderful people like you being rejected. It’s not you, that’s for sure. You are smelling wonderful in Tam Dao.
Oh dear. I’m sorry. NYC is really bad that way. Hopefully no selfies involved. ????. You are beautiful and lovely and a catch. Men here are stupid.
UGH, so sorry!
Sorry to hear that.
Sorry to hear about your disappointment. You smell wonderful, if that’s any consolation.
Wearing Oeillet Louis XV by Oriza L Legrand. It’s really lovely, and I wouldn’t mind a full bottle.
I’ve been sipping mint tea with lavender today, and those two work just great together.
Your SOTD is a pretty one.
Checking in , wearing Alien leather version. I doubled up on sprays, so today I smell me instead of light blue lady. ????????
????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????⚪????????????⚪????????⚪????????????⚪????????????⚪????????????⚪????????????????????????⚪????????????????????????????????????????????✌
Ha! Thanks Bear! Like Ralph Mouth… ” I still got it ” lol???????? and, I’m kinda a dork????????❤
That’s kind of scary someone wearing Light Blue could out power a Mugler scent!
She wears two perfumes. Light blue and Versace bright crystal. No matter what i wear i smell her everywhere. They both smell great on her, but I want to smell me, dang it! So I’ve taken to extra sprays.
Given some of the perfumes that you wear, I can see why you’d want to appreciate them!
How much Light Blue was she wearing???
To much! Maybe she has the matching body products?
I got a “c” in the name. I need to be very chill today. SOTD is AT La Maroc pour Elle. Ahhh…
Still using up my decants i brought for vacation. Getting tired of guerlain vetiver extreme. Just 2ml left! Am beginning to despise it. no fan of this….Tomorrow we planned a drive through the North of Gran Canaria. Have a Fiat500 Cabrio, so fun driving!
Sounds wonderful – have a great time!
In Cuir de Nacre, which gets me perhaps minuscule credit.
I have decided to combat my stress by purchasing a Hermes scarf. I blame NST since I would have never set foot in the Hermes boutique had it not been for the perfumes! Since I can’t justify buying new, it’s my fun, de-stressing distraction to hunt around online.
I heavily approve of your method of de-stressing
Wearing MdO Santal Nabataea from the swapmeet. Lovely stuff. Waiting for the Godiva Dark Chocolate ganache hearts to go on sale at Costco on Nov. 16 to stock up. In the meantime, bought a fantastic Italian pannettone and a big Toblerone bar. 🙂 Yay Costco!
I really need to join Costco.
Uh oh. Godiva is at Costco??? That’s dangerous info to know.
Just put on some Pulp after volunteering at the humane society this morning. One of the kittens had a very upset stomach and I got covered in poo. So did his littermates, the kennel, and the cat bed. I came home and took a shower but the odor is still in my nose ( I already checked my shoes and they are clean).
Poor little kitten and poor you! ????
Oh no. What a terrible way to be rewarded for a good deed.
A couple of the stressors that had been bothering me are gone today! Just to be sure, though, I tucked into some dark chocolate with almonds that I happened to have in my chocolate stash. Hopefully a few more things that have been bothering me will be dealt with in the next week or so. ????????????
SOTD = back to playing in the sample stash with FM Superstitious and a swap partner here at NST. This definitely smells like a “grown-up” perfume to me. I seem to have grown into liking aldehydes during my sniffing explorations. I did NOT like them at all in the beginning.
Glad the stressors are gone for the day. I love Superstitious so much. It’s very Grand!
Superstitious is definitely more dressed up than I was today. It made my sweats smell great, though. ????
Wearing Auphorie Mayura. I actually like it a lot more than other big animalic/floral chypres I’ve tried like Au Dela and Vol de Nuit — to me the freshness/sweet-tropical aspect of the flowers and even the overthe top skankiness make it feel more modern and wearable. Or maybe it’s just skin chemistry. Anyway highly recommended try for anyone who likes that kind of thing.
I am curious about this one. will read up on the notes again.
Are you getting tuberose, or tiara or a fruit like pineapple?
Ah I’m not sophisticated enough to be sure, I’d say more like tiare or pineapple but I’d have to wear it again. You should definitely try it!
Late to the party!
SOTD = CSP Vanille Abricot
Woohoo- full credit today. I forgot I have several of this small brand! 5 sprays from a travel spray and I’ve been wafting vanilla all day! This made me realize I don’t have a staple gourmand in my suitcase and need to remedy that soon.
I’ve heard good things about Vanille Abricot.
I wore Bois Farine today, and sampled Room 1015’s Hollyrose tonight. Hollyrose is incredible – the leather/ rose/ patchouli/ cement combo smells amazing. Very happy over here!
Eau des Baux is my SOTN tonight. i haven’t worn this in ages and forgot how lovely it is. I had my bf try it a while ago and when I asked for his impression, he said “Willie Wonka!”
That was so adorable.
Iris Nazarena for me today as someone here mentioned it yesterday and another the day before- not quite a lemming…..but maybe a “paste”? I want to resample it so I can compare it with Le Cri when my sample arrives later this week.
