Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2017, part 14

Posted by Robin on 29 September 2017 7 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes special edition bottles from Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs and Paco Rabanne, plus new concentrations of Chloé and Aroma M Geisha Marron.

Jean Paul Gaultier snow globes 2017

Jean Paul Gaultier does holiday snow globes for Classique ("Turn over the Classique collector's snow globe: the iconic glass bust will appear through the snowflakes, revealing a glossy red corset, perfect for the holidays.") and Le Mâle ("Turn over the Le Mâle collector's snow globe: the iconic glass torso will appear through the snowflakes, revealing a red-striped marinière, perfect for the holidays.") At John Lewis in the UK in 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Marc Jacobs Decadence Rouge Noir

From Marc Jacobs, the Rouge Noir edition of Decadence: "The new limited edition Decadence Rouge Noir flacon houses the original decadence fragrance: a luxurious woody scent that is an invitation to indulge in temptation." At The Fragrance Shop in the UK in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Paco Rabanne Million holiday 2017

Paco Rabanne's holiday collector bottles of Lady Million ("The perfect gift, this Golding collector holds the original best-selling Lady Million EDP 80ml.") and 1 Million ("The perfect gift for that one in a million man, this Golding collector holds the original best-selling 1 Million EDT 100ml.") At Debenhams in the UK.

Chloé Absolu de Parfum

Chloé Signature in a limited edition Absolu de Parfum: "The iconic Chloe Signature's rose scent enhanced with flower absolutes and top quality ingredients, for a richer & sublimated variation of the original Signature Eau de Parfum." 75 ml for $145 at Lord & Taylor.

Aroma M Geisha Marron EdP

From Aroma M, a new Eau de Parfum version of Geisha Marron: "Notes of muguet, which joins forces with white Japanese magnolia and white chestnut blossom. But brown needs some sparkle to bring out the depth of its tones hence the balancing addition of mandarin, bergamot, and grapefruit, tempered with leather and musk." $95 at Aroma M.

That Jpg bottle is cute enough to make me want to finally buy Classique, but still not because of the price.

I want Classique in a snowglobe! :) I have Fragile which is a snowglobe also. What I don’t see is how does it spray if it’s inside of the globe.???

My guess (they don’t make it clear) is that the outer packaging has two layers (sort of like those double walled plastic cups that prevent condensation), with snow in between, and so the bottle itself is not, in fact, sitting in liquid with snow — does that make sense? But it’s just a guess.

You are right Robin. You take the dome off to get to the bottle. I like JPG male, but I think my time has passed for this, but those bottles are so cute.

I remember years ago I bought a limited edition in duty free at JFK that was in the shape of a hand excerciser (you know the thing that you squeeze together that is held together by springs). It was refillable, (refill included) and the scent was held in the middle. I wish I hadn’t gifted it away.

He did used to make some amazing and unusual bottles.
