Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit! Welcome to June. It's also Morgan Freeman's birthday, World Milk Day and Go Barefoot Day. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in Comme des Garçons + Stephen Jones, the first one, by Antoine Maisondieu.
Reminder: 6/2 will be Antoine Friday...wear a fragrance by perfumer Antoine Lie or Antoine Maisondieu, if you have one.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2017, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the Comme des Garçons bunny caps in wool and leather are from the Fall 2013 menswear collection. I am pretty sure these were made by Stephen Jones. He did a women's version back in 2007.
Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit
I am wearing the wonderful Amouge Bracken Woman. I smell like damp ferns and tiny brooks. This is the first Amouage since Dia that has bowled me over.
I’d love to smell this on you!
I fell in love at first sniff.
Oooh, I’ve been thinking about getting a sample of that.
When I tried this I liked it too. Journey is still my favorite
I love this too. You smell great!
MUST try this
Burberry Brit Rhythm for For, from a sample. I periodically chide myself for not buying a bottle.
for Her, of course…
I will finally try this one tomorrow!
Depending where you live, I have a 30ml bottle I never wear that I’d be happy to send along to you. Email me at bonanza 29 at hot-you-know-the-rest (no spaces) if you’d like it.
What a kind offer!! I’ll email you to discuss.
TJ Maxx always has this one deeply discounted.
Smells like grape juice to me.
Yes…saw this recently at TJ, which is where I got mine. It’s funny…on me I mostly get dusky lavender.
SOTD is Acqua di Parma Magnolia Nobile by Antoine Maisondieu.
It’s wearable, but it’s another magnolia scent that does not really capture the charm of real magnolia flowers. It has that elegance of AdP Nobile line, and the citrus floral opening is nice. But eventually it just turns pale and… well… not really interesting. At least on me.
(Robin, I checked your review of this scent. It seems that are opinions are similar.)
Yeah. Another not-quite-there-yet magnolia — too bad!
Triple strength coffee.
Vierges et Toreros LOTV.
Carpe Diem. Peace.
Poetry that covers all the bases
Rats..forgot to say Rabbit …
Rats Rats Rats!
My sotd is Besos by Carner Barcelona.
It’s a little spicy and quite powdery with a nice feeling to it.
On my skin the drydown is similar to how classic Nivea cream smells like.
and now I will need to try this one because the smell of classic thick gooey white Nivea cream takes me back to my childhood (along with the scents of Ponds Dry Skin cream, Vitabath, 4711 and Jean Nate)
Then you should really give this a try!
Chocolatematzipan I can send you some Nivea EDT. Ping me at marianna_r in the yahooooo
That Nivea smell is so distinctive, isn’t it?
That sounds really nice. The only Carner Barcelona I’ve smelled is Tardes, which I quite liked.
I like Tardes too. Wore it yesterday.
Their new trio in White Collection is quite fab
Looks like decants might be hard to come by in the US
Vrai Blonde for me today, the last of Antoine M.’s ELDO scents I have.
Hey, did you see you won the giveaway??
I did and I’ve sent a reply with my mailing address. BIG thanks Robin. First time I’ve ever won a fragrance. So exciting!
That’s my favourite ELdO, saving it for tomorrow!
Needing comfort scent for working on reports today, so Samsara it is.
Good luck on the reports!
Also, I really like those bunny ears. Great photo today.
Yesterday I sent this comic to my bf, who was also working on reports. I don’t think he found it as funny as I do, but maybe you will
LOL, that was cute.
Our reports are submitted electronically but it kinda feels like that’s still what happens to them when the clients get them.
You smell blissful!
Coromandel. One of the classes that comes to the library on Thursdaysloves Coromandel, and since I do too I am happy to wear it.
Hooray for library workers and for Coromandel! You smell fabulous.
Thanks everyone! I have the best job in the world. This class is just finishing grade 6 so I will be able to see them again next year. I just typed “play with them again next year” but that didn’t sound good.
Yay! Every kid should have a kind, great-smelling librarian in her/his life…
Puredistance Black on one arm and Puredistance I on the other.
I woke up at 3am….mumbled “rabbit rabbit rabbit” ….and then fell back asleep until 430am.
And did you wake up at 4:30 on purpose?
No…but I am always up at the crack of dawn…..
Nothing yet, maybe my Ashoka sample…
Applied. Lovely, but my favorite part is the fig (and I already have Philosykos).
Dang it! I was determined to remember rabbit rabbit rabbit this time, but woke up thinking it was still the 31st. Argh. Perhaps I should stop believing in luck.
Anyway, SOTD is Le Dix. At least I smell good.
I’ve never remembered to say it. My first thoughts when I wake up and realize it’s the the first of each month is always, “*&$%, it’s reports week….” :p
rabbit rabbit rabbit!
SOTD is Hermes Eau des Merveilles. I’m boring, I know. But I smell good
That is not boring at all. You smell great. I almost put this one on this morning.
EdM is a winner! You smell great.
I agree with Jenkr, not boring at all. You smell so good!
Said my rabbit blessings at midnight AND first thing this morning. Time to buy some scratch-offs.
This is my long work day so I’m powering through in Mitsouko EdP. Gorgeous!
You smell great — hang in there!
I am wearing Violette Noyée, by Sultan Pasha Attars (from a sample).
I have got it into my head that I NEED to get the sampler set of these. Tell it to me straight…do I?
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Seriously. Its one of my favourite ‘brands’/discoveries!
Now this guy does everything by himself (filling the vials), so it might take a few weeks before your order arrives. Oh and the sample sets sell like hot cakes.
I am not affiliated at all by the way, but just like at least 1000 other perfume lovers (thats how big his facebook group is) a bit of a fan
Enabler pin for you! Made my order and filled with anticipation!
Yay this one is a keeper!!!
Yeah. Its uncanny. SP makes me fall for genres I normally dont like or avoid. Also, he keeps getting better.
I mean, vanilla and powdery is scrubber material for me 9 out of 10 times. But here it is so elegant and well done, I could not stop smelling my wrist today.
You are seriously tempting me!
Oh and about Violette Noyée itself. It starts out with a whole orchestra of flowers, led by iris and violets and even something green. On my skin it turns sweeter and warmer after 4-5 hours (vanilla, resins…).
Longevity 8-10 hours (and I can still detect it now, after 14 hours, when I press my nose to my wrist).
Sillage is very modest.
Kafka did an amazing review of that one, right before she decided to take a break from reviewing.
Marni, layered with Tauer Rose Delight body oil.
Ooh, I’ll bet that’s a great combination!
SOTD J’adore Dior
Went to central park this morning with the little ones, they had just mowed the grass..such a great scent. And this weather..gorgeous!
SipOTD Hammam green tea from PdT
Such a beautiful day for the park, especially early morning.
It was, very quiet and the babies really had a blast. Was planning on stopping by Oslo but I made tea to go instead
Dang it, dang it, dang it! Forgot again! Beautiful day today, I broke out my MK Sexy Rio de Janeiro. This smells much better than you would expect. I’m starting a new job tomorrow. It’s not a dream job, a little less pay, and the hours stink, but it’s steady work. I’m going to miss having the extra time with my kids.
Good luck! Transitions are always hard.
Thank you!, transitions are not my strong suit.
I forgot too! Dang it!
We are in good company, then:)
Best of luck to you, lillyjo!
Some people say ‘Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” on the first of the month, the rest of us say “Dang it, Dang it, Dang it” on the day after the last day of the month. To each his own!
Ha!, ain’t that the truth!
Good luck! I hope you enjoy it more than you expect to!
Thanks, I’m sure it will be fine. I just was hoping to not have had to settle. I just have to remember, that I don’t have to stay, and plan on continuing to look for more options.
I forgot to do the rabbit thing this morning, too. I hope that your new job works out for you. First day jitters can be the worst!!
Good luck with the new job, hope it turns out better than expected.
Good luck with the new job, lillyjo!
I went to bed last night feeling queasy and woke up this morning feeling little better, but I seem to be on the mend already and feel now well enough to wear the Lie-Maisondieu production Eau de Protection which I always just call Rossy. It’s a glorious rose, and full of character!
You smell divine. Such a great rose and still one of my favorites.
I actually remembered my “rabbits” this morning for the first time. Yay, June! SOTD is Shalimar Light- love it so much! Have a work cocktail party this evening, if this wears off, I brought my Shalimar edp to spray over. I’ll be smelling good!
I was in Shalimar yesterday..such a fantastic scent
yay for layering! I think I’ll wear Shalimar EdC later today.
I love the EdC this time of year. The Shalimar Light is so work friendly I think, but still close to the original which I love.
Wearing large amounts of my sample of Arielle Shoshana EDP, and swooning over the occasional whiffs I’m getting of myself
June 1. How can we almost be half-way thru 2017?
I’m wearing a few dabs of Cuir de Lancôme. So beautiful this one. Don’t think I’ll ever do a FB as a decant lasts a long time on this one.
Three cheers for blue sky!
Right!? 2017 just started!
Why didn’t time go this fast when I was young & without responsibility? Le sigh
It’s a shocker. Feels especially weird because the spring weather here was so strange.
Yay, it means half-Christmas is just around the corner!
SotM = Dzing! I hope it will play nicely with another scent later today.
Love the SJ bunny hats. I remembered to say rabbit x 3 this morning because I put Dormili, my son’s old Steiff bunny, next to my alarm clock last night.
now that is an excellent visual cue!
That’s what I need to do to remember! I have a tiny rabbit that was knitted as a baby present by a nearly blind patient for my older son. It is very old-fashioned looking.
That rabbit sounds cute. I adore knitted toys.
Everything about this post and its consequent comments is adorable.
Good idea because I forgot to do say rabbit rabbit rabbit upon waking up this morning. I “borrowed” a little bunny my nephew got on Easter way back when he was 3 years old (he is now 17) and I ummm still have it. It has poseable arms, legs and head. I considered returning it a few weeks ago but I now have a new use for it so, I am keeping it
yes! An army of NST bunnies can change the world (or at least cheer us on once a month).
Wearing a combo of Gaiac 10 and Vanille 44 in this foggy June gloom.
That is a nice combo, you smell great.
Wow, I’ve never tried this combo!
I highly recommend!
This beautiful day called for lots of jasmine: Lush Lust (dupe)flavored hair conditioner which really lingers and ELDO Jasmin et Cigarette.
Yesterday was like xmas as all my bday perfume gifts to self arrived(OJ Champaca travel sprays and Piguet Calypso) plus a generous decant of OJ Tolu from a swap with LizzieB. I wore Tolu out last night to a book launch/reading held in a beautiful church sanctuary. The combo of church smells(old wood and books) and Tolu was so comforting.
Enjoy your birthday bottle celebration
That reading sounds wonderful. I’m not a churchgoer anymore, but there is something that I find very comforting about church sanctuaries.
I was never a church-goer so don’t have any religious associations with them but they are peaceful and smell good. The bookstore across the street uses it as a venue for their events.
Glad you’ve received your bday treats!
Me too ???? And just like you said, the OJ just showed up. It did come from England so am also surprised it took less than a week.
I overslept and in the rush to get out of the house today forgot to put on perfume. Extra sad, because I could really use the pick me up today. Boo.
I hope everyone else is smelling great!
You need to keep some EBP!
Extra Bag Perfumes? Exterior Body Protection?
Emergency Backup Perfume!
Yes! I keep a couple of little samples in my desk at work for just such an emergency.
Robin, you smell great!
Why thank you!
Today I’m wearing MFK’s Oud Silk Mood.
Oh, I was staring at a bottle of that at the store yesterday but ended up sampling the plain Oud instead.
Feerie for me. Glad I remembered I had a sample to try. Just two quick spritzes, but I think I need to go heavier.
Trying to get outside…hopefully after a bit of vacuuming. A friend will be cat sitting this weekend as we head out of town to a wedding. The big boy cat heard the closet door open and the hoses and canister coming out….bam! He’s under the bed.
We ended up having a very nice time with the young woman who stayed with us this past week. My husband got to play serious tour guide, which he loves. Thankfully, she was a little slip of a thing so when we realized our air mattress had developed leaks beyond repair, she could fit on the couch. Tossed the air mattress…no plans to replace it at this time.
I think cats are genetically programmed to hate vacuums. I’ve always wondered how people get their cats to ride around on Roombas… Do Roombas not make any noise?
Glad you had a good time with your visitor. Enjoy your upcoming out-of-town weekend!
SOTD so far is Ashoka, which mostly smells like fig to me. Only sprayed once since I may want to change scents later. Had to take my older son to the orthodontist’s because he accidentally lost his upper retainer. He put his retainers in a napkin at a restaurant and left them on the table. The restaurant found the lower one, but not the upper one-go figure. At least I only had to pay for one replacement.
Twins! Sorry about the retainer.
This is why i have a permanent retainer! Teeth stay straight and i never lose it.
(20 years post-braces, fyi)
I appear to have no regard for the community project this week, as today’s scent is the gorgeous, sparkling, wonderful, rich Champagne de Bois. Probably my best blind swap (though I doubted an SSS could go wrong).
I am now joining you…I have the decant in my purse…gosh, it is glorious! I am in sandalwood heaven!
I don’t have anything for this weeks community project. I will write a haiku instead
Ahah! I drained my travel spray of CdB last night, and for good measure added a drop of Traversee du Bosphore on each wrist. It was the perfect sleep aid combo–I’m not usually one for combos, but the perfumes fit the moment. Love CdB!
Dame Perfumery Pear, Water Lily & Amber.
Lurve it, very clean, floral sweet and pretty. Note: i like shampoo scents, ymmv
I like that one too…but I am a big fan of Dame Perfumery
I also find Bergamot, Jasmine and Labdanum to be clean, floral sweet and pretty….very accessible and nice for the office.
Ooh, i will have to try that one!
Getting ready for a retirement lunch party for one of our dearest co-workers. After 50 years of service she is ready, but not happy to go. She says that one of the main reasons that kept her going on in her life was the motivation of feeling herself still useful on her profession. But the work load was already too much to handle. Wearing Chanel No.5 EdT on this warm, beautiful day.
You and No. 5 smell wonderful today.
Congratulations to your retiring co-worker, that’s marvelous, and bittersweet too. A co-worker of mine celebrated a birthday a few days ago. She turned 70! I was floored because I would have guessed 55 at most.
Thank you! My co-worker turned 75, but has the energy of a young person. She looks fabulous. I wish I could age like that. You also smell wonderful on Dzing!
Third day for Puredistance M. Finished the sample! Spritzed TF Orchid Soleil at Sephora this morning. It’s beachy. Bought the new David Sedaris book at BN – “Theft by Finding”. The first book I ever read written by him was “Me Talk Pretty One Day”, and I had no idea who he was, or that the book was a series of essays. I was really baffled as to how this was a “novel”. ???? I figured it out, and was in tears with laughter by the time I finished the book.
Terry Gross interviewed him on Fresh Air yesterday–obviously he is in the thick of a book tour. I really do not know anyone like him, and that makes him all the more fun!
Oh wow thanks – I will search for the broadcast/interview online.
I heard that Fresh Air interview too! Worth listening via podcast for anyone who missed it.
I vividly remember hearing David Sedaris’ voice for the first time on NPR Morning Edition while listening in my car. It must have been decades ago. Unforgettably funny.
David Sedaris is hilarious and thoughtful. Love his writing.
OMG I LOVE David Sedaris
I was reading Me Talk Pretty One Day on the train on the way home February in the early 2000s. It was hysterically funny but since there were people around me, I couldn’t laugh out loud but my body couldn’t stop shaking, there were tears coming out of my eyes and I peed a little. Of course I missed my stop and had to wait out in the cold for the next train going the other direction. The aforementioned liquids did not mix well with the freezing cold! Lesson learned – only read David Sedaris in the comfort of your home
Ha! He would definitely appreciate that story????
I saw him when he was touring Me Talk Pretty One Day before it was published (testing the stories on the road.) Everyone in the audience was doubled over and crying from laughing so hard. One thing about David Sedaris, I think, is that his stories are better read by him than by me, though I’ve heard him enough that when I do read I can hear it in his voice. I was intro’d to him via Santaland Diaries which I listen to pretty much every xmas now. He’s a gem.
Oh yay, did not know he had a new one out. Thanks!
More wind, sun and occasional thundershowers. Wearing Armani Cuir Noir.
In Bendelirious because I have some. Fun, but not quite as fun as the PR promises… So much in life.
I know, I wasn’t that thrilled with it, either. And a second application seemed to concentrate it and make it even less appealing. ????
SOTD is PdN Vetyver, which is a great buy in th 30 ml size. Very easy to wear fragrance.
On a dill pickle kick for some reason, paired with grilled turkey and cheese with sliced tomato on the side. Yum!
Happy Almost Friday Day✌????
I have been on a very serious pickle kick myself… I’ve been going through nearly a jar a week of Bubbies Bread and Butter pickles. . . they are so addicting. I swore by only dill pickles for my whole life, until I discovered these: http://bubbies.com/bread_and_butter_pickles
They make everything I eat happy!
You can beat Happy! I’ve never tried bread and butter pickles. Somehow, the name doesn’t make sense to me. Are they crisp and tart like dill pickles?
If you can find these, give ’em a whirl! They go great in grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken salad, with hard-boiled eggs…. I eat them straight out of the jar at times, truth be told! So I have no idea where the name “Bread and butter” comes from. Wikipedia offers this explanation–you have to scroll down to the entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickled_cucumber
But bread and butter pickles should be crisp, crunchy, tart, very slightly spiced, and just a little sweet. They are not “sweet pickles” like you used to be served on burgers in the school cafeteria–not that sweet, but the brine includes sugar so there is sweetness along with the tartness. Not sure how authentic are Bubbies, despite the marketing, but the pickles are really fabulous.
Bread and butter pickle slices between peanut butter and toast…yum!
I almost bought some of those the other day but my H insisted that last time I had some I didn’t like them. You have offered up proof that he is wrong, I was right, and should have bought some!
He should know the wife is always right????
I love pickles. My favorite sandwich growing up was cheddar cheese and pickles. Still eat them. And, I put pickles in my cottage cheese. Usually dill, but I think I’ll need to get some bread and butter ones.
If you have access to Claussen dill pickles, do try them! They are crisp and wonderful, and the brine is great to pickle other veggies when the dills are gone.
OMG, dill pickles. Haven’t met a bad one yet! A co-worker makes a version of potato salad she calls Russian Salad. She puts in 1/2 a jar of mini dills. It’s sooo good; the pickles make it amazing!
We also make a salad we call a ‘Big Salad’ (a nod to Elaine on Seinfeld). Lots of pickles in that one too. Taco chips, beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, olives, dill pickles, salsa, green onions and ranch dressing. It sounds weird but so good.
SOTD is Sycomore.
Counting down 4.5 hours left of work…
Mmm Sycomore, you smell great!!!
I missed that one a lot when i was on vacation (next time i have to make a sample vial to take with me)!
SOTD is ELdO “Fat Electrician”, by Antoine M.
Notes are vetiver, olive leaf, opoponax, myrrh, vanilla, marron glace and whipped cream.
Hello, scent twin!
Trying Ambre Nuit today…
Kind of a skin scent on me…low sillage and not much oomph…disappointed I am.
Is it a current formulation? I have a bottle from the original release and it’s got good longevity on me, but I’ve heard they have been weakened.
It is from 2014…not original.
Sampling LL Neroli 36 today. It’s very nice, and if it were priced right I’d probably get some, but LL is too $$$ for what they are.
I never remember that rabbit thing, I have to write down the first of the month’s tasks–dog meds and nail trim, washer clean, weigh myself, hose out the wastebaskets. I do like those rabbit hats, though, especially on guys.
I have decided to invest in some sticky notes myself. My memory is shot, plus I’m one of those lazy people that feels “why exert the energy to remember something if I can look it up?” This has become a more pronounced trait with the advent of google and smartphones, which are really making me stupid. It’s a conspiracy ????
What does LL stand for? Lolita Lempicka? See, told you I wasn’t too bright????
Le Labo. I hear a store opened here in Portland but I haven’t been. Does anybody know if they are generous with samples?
They sell their samples in the boutiques for $6 each. So not generous with free samples.
Ahh. GTK. I’ve been meaning to stop by the counter here.
I live by sticky notes! I put a reminder on each one and when the task has been accomplished, I toss the note. They are stuck on my calender or on my monitor.
Thank you, foxbins, for mentioning your first-day-of-the-month tasks. Your list reminded me that I needed to run the cleaning cycle on my clothes washer today, too. I totally spaced that.
Eeek, no time to read the comments now. SOTD is Deprofundis. Happy Thursday all!
You smell absolutely gorgeous. Hope you got caught up!
I’m never caught up but you made my day!
Hello, hello, hello–it’s vintage Joy for me this morning, because DAKKIE MADE IT!!!!!
What’s more, he has turned the corner so decisively that we now feel we can leave for the States after all. We had agreed that we could cancel our trip if he needed intensive nursing, because we didn’t feel we could get a car sitter to trek out to the vet at need and administer daily meds (Dakkie is adept at spitting out pills). If I were lots younger, I’d turn cartwheels; if I were just a bit younger, I’d hug anyone who would let me; because I’m the age and disposition that I am, I’ve dabbed myself liberally with skanky Joy-ous flowers and I’m settling down to finish marking my pile of assignments. I had better guard against handing out an over-abundance of A grates….
Thank you all for your best Dakkie wishes yesterday–clearly, they worked ???? I was too distraught and distracted to respond, but I deeply appreciated your thoughts. You all smell delicious today; the whole world does. It’s very cold; it’s raining hard; the world is beautiful. Be well.
That’s great news! I didn’t see your post yesterday, but I’m so glad to hear your Dakkie is ok.
Wonderful news! And maybe just one hug so I can sniff your Joy? (Vintage Joy is my favorite — I have extras squirreled away!)
By all means: one hug on its way!
I’ve just given 1 A, 1 B- and a D (=fail)…I don’t think my general euphoria is in danger of inflating my grading after all. Phew!
Good news! Yay Dakkie cat!
Fabulous news! Continued good health to him.
Whoo hoo and huzzah for Dakkie-cat! Great news!
What a relief! Best wishes for Dakkie Cat’s continued good health!
Yay! Glad to hear that
Hadn’t seen your post yesterday. So sorry you had such a tough time worrying…and so glad to hear Dakkie has turned the corner to recovery. Cartwheels indeed!
That’s wonderful!!!! I’m so happy to read this!!!
Way to go Dakkie!!
Oh I am so happy and relieved for you!
What a relief! So glad Dakkie will be fine!
I didn’t catch your post yesterday, was out until all hours, but I’m so glad Dakkie-kitty is going to be okay. Keep it up, Dakkie! ????
That is such great news..gave me goosebumps. Enjoy your much-deserved vacation.
I missed the Dakkie scare, too. So glad he’s okay. I’m very attached to him in spite of never having met him.
Yay Dakkie is okay! Sending continued well wishes to you & your fuzzer
I’m wearing a 1-Antoine perfume today, that being Vraie Blonde and the Antoine being Maisondieu. I’m saving Rossy for tomorrow since that one is a 2-Antoine perfume.
I also kind of love that Antoine Maisondieu’s surname translates to “housegod”.
With that name, he’d have to end up either a Nose or a Butler.
More Amyris for me today. I spent the week working on a presentation for lab (figures and statistics and citations!), only to find out that it’s been postponed for next week. Kind of bummed, but at least I love how I smell!
No it’s great–now you don’t have to rush to do it next week!
Yeah! And my advisor thinks my data and figures are significant enough that I can finally publish them! So EXCITED!
Thought I’d give Coco edp another shot today. It took me a while to come around to No 19, even longer with Cristalle, and Coco… Not there yet.
Try Coco again in the winter, it’s so nice when it dries down on a coat or scarf.
SOTD = ELdO’s Fat Electrician. I’m testing 2 samples of it, one a dabber, and the other a spray. The spray is a little smokier than the dab. Also listening to Aerosmith’s “Permanent Vacation” and thinking it goes very well with Fat Electrician. A great but accidental match!
I might need to finally buy a little bottle of FE.
Winter is definitely here in southern Oz so I’ve pulled out one of the Big Guns and am waftingva carefully targeted single spritz of Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille. I smell like a gorgeous rum-laced xmas pudding
I’m so sorry to sound ignorant, but where is Southern Oz? And you do smell wonderful.
South Australia but I’m just too lazy to type all those extra letters
And surprisingly for me, Tobacco Vanille is a whimper on me.
Wow! A single spritz of Tobacco Vanille is still noticable for me the next day.
I didn’t Antoine today …
SOTD = AG Heure Exquise EDP
It’s Chanel No.19 EDP with aldehydes and vntagey feel instead of the nracing spine-stiffener.
A few weeks back, I mentioned unauthorized removal (although not theft since they went to another of the company’s buildings) furnishing and equipment. At that time, I had pretty much honed in on which group / person may have been involved, but everyone pretended to be surprised. When someone becomes evasive and brash, it is very telling. Today, one person nailed himself by including me in a message because he wanted me to be around at an uneeasonable time tomorrow. I said Nope, you figure it out the same way you managed to direct the unauthorized work to be done. I can’t wait for him to back himself to a corner. If he had been honest with me from the get go, I would have accommodated.
Hello hajusuuri !!
How did the seedless grapes work in your Sangria ?
Thumbs up, down sideways ? LOL
They were a hit! I took the grapes off the vine and filled a gallon baggie so that it is one layer of grapes laid flat. My initial thought was a do it yourself as we are a so casual at these gatherings that we use, gasp, red Solo cups for every drink, including vino. I cut up 2 large apples into cubes, soaked them in lemon juice and 3 oranges sliced into thin rounds. The hostess had another idea and so we ended up using a large acrylic beverage dispenser with spigot so my 2 bottles of sangria base barely covered a fifth of the container. What to do? She dumped in half a bottle of white and a full bottle of red and added the apples and oranges and voila! We stuck with the Solo cups and used the grapes as ice! Thanks for the suggestion!
You are very welcome, I’m glad everyone liked them.
I’ve been in quite the assortment today:
VCA Muguet Blanc: meh, but it’s an Antoine
Fat Electrician: both thumbs way up!
Burberry Brit Rhythm for her: meh
Armani Code Profumo: will give it a little time; probable scrubber
Fun day with the samples!
