Thank you Robin for this giveaway. I was able to sample a while ago Nite Surf and Bel Epoq. Considering that I love beachy scents I definitely like Nite Surf. It is a light orange blossom fragrance. The neroli note is very prominent and it has that salty-marine vibe that it is very, very nice. Bel Epoq was just ok. A Clean, fresh flowery scent. I got mostly jasmine. Looking forward to trying more from this line.

I really enjoy guaiac wood on a perfume. I also enjoy a good, classy sandalwood.

Never had the opportunity to sample a Regime des Fleurs fragrance… I like just about everything woody (oud, sandalwood, incense, etc, etc, etc).
As always, thanks for the giveaways! 🙂

I really like sandalwood, although in a supporting role, not as the main note. Rose and sandalwood is one of my favorite combinations.

  6. Jemi says:
    4 January 2017 at 1:46 pm

I love cedar, although I’ve learned that what I thought was cedar might actually be Iso E Super, ha ha.

Thank you so much for this contest!

Hi Robin. Is this giveaway US only or can people from other countries participate too?

  8. solanace says:

I’m really fond of sandalwood, as in vintage Samsara and Lutens’ renditions, my favorite being Santal Majuscule. Also, I just visited Régime des Fleurs website, and the fumes sound awesome. Lots of tonka and orris. Yummy!!

  9. Querelle 3 says:

I like Willows and I love sandalwood bathed in amber.
Many thanks for the contest! Cheers!

I think my favorite wood perfume is #3 Notes of Cabernet by Kelly and Jones. I’ve heard it called a leather perfume but to me it smells like a wood pipe stuffed full of rich tobacco, and a cherry drink in hand.

  11. Masha says:
    4 January 2017 at 2:55 pm

I love Siam Wood and Hiba Cedar in particular, though I’ve recently found some Palo Santo resin and it’s unbelievable. I’ve never tried any of this loine, though I’d probably prefer Falling Trees. It’s a sad perfume, like Woodcut, I’m guessing?

  12. Jenkr says:
    4 January 2017 at 3:07 pm

I like woody perfumes that throw in a bit of incense and this one seems to fit that bill.

  13. redskyatnight says:
    4 January 2017 at 3:08 pm

I’m a big fan of sandalwood, especially loving what Amouage did with it in Interlude Woman. Thanks for the chance!

  14. ACgreens says:

I have not tried any fragrances from the Regime des Fleurs house but am interested in trying and hopeful to win:) Favorite woody notes include: agarwood, guaiac wood, sandalwood and cedar.
One of the fragrances that comes to mind when thinking about one that legitimately smelling like wood is Imaginary Authors ‘Memoirs of a Trespasser’. Oak barrel in a bottle:) I layer it with other fragrances that are lacking woody notes or not as pronounced woody notes.
    Cheers and thanks for opportunity:)

I don’t have a favorite scent from the line yet.

Well after years of being annoyed by my lack of understanding of the Vetiver note,I can finally appreciate its woody aspect in some perfumes like Encre Noire. So I’d say vetiver, but when used to amp up/accentuate a good woody fragrance.Dsquared did some great woodies as well.If the give-away is US only can I nominate a winner on my behalf from NST that is in the US?( a give- away of a give-away should I win…lol)

  19. Amy says:
    4 January 2017 at 3:43 pm

I really like guiac and cedar and pine, used in just the right way. Also the burning wood of something like Bois d’Ascese, one of my all time favorites.

  20. skalolazka says:
    4 January 2017 at 3:49 pm

My favorite woody note is cedar. (Does iris root count as woody?)

Anyway, it would be great funnto win this, so I will cross my fingers.

  21. cazaubon says:

I love agarwood and vetiver. Thanks!

  23. Isolar says:
    4 January 2017 at 4:36 pm

Thanks for doing the drawing! My favorite woody note is cedar, now that the weather is cooling off in Brooklyn I’ve been reaching for Ormonde Woman and Timbuktu. Also loving the sandalwood in 10 Corso Como, some days it’s hard to know what to wear!

  24. Mary Carol says:
    4 January 2017 at 4:45 pm

i do love Regime des Fleurs’ Turquoise. That one is a summery kind of scent. However, I’ve worn it a couple of times recently because it takes my mind off of our super cold temps, ice and all of the other winter things going on right now where I live. Falling Trees, with its wood notes, sounds great,

  25. Gary says:
    4 January 2017 at 5:00 pm

Thanks for the drawing! My favorite woody perfume note is good old fashioned oud.

  26. pyramus says:

I’m just a sucker for a well-done sandalwood: vintage Samsara, Demeter Sandalwood, SL Santal Blanc and Jeux de Peau, and Jacques Fath Pour l’Homme, to name a few favourites. And I can’t resist a good shave cream like Taylor of Old Bond Street Sandalwood or Crabtree & Evelyn Indian Sandalwood.

  27. caffeinequeen says:

My favorite woody note is sandalwood.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  33. missyl says:
    4 January 2017 at 7:00 pm

I like rosewood and sandalwood. I like some cedar.
I’ve been dying to find out why happened with Guerlain Terra-cotta Le Parfum. It was in stock at Nordstroms and Bergdorff. Now it’s gone! The only place I can find it is eBay.
Has anyone heard if it’ll be back? I’m so sad! I love this and I’ve only got a half a bottle left.

  34. Elisa P says:
    4 January 2017 at 8:06 pm

I’m very particular about synthetic wood notes but I do like pencil shavings, some cedar, some sandalwood, and some Oud.

  35. eswift83 says:

  40. gerbick says:

Hello and thanks for the opportunity to win, NST. My favorite woody note would have to be cedar. I gravitate towards it almost each and every time without fail.

I live in the US, I don’t mind being contacted if I win… or even if I do not. Take care and thanks for the blog.

  41. Hera says:

  43. John says:
    4 January 2017 at 10:05 pm

Thanks for this draw! I am new to this house, but for ‘woody’ notes, I love vetiver, oak moss, sandalwood and cedar (though not ISO, as I seem to be allergic).

  44. therabbitsflower says:
    4 January 2017 at 10:17 pm

Hmm it’s hard to pick a favorite wood note, but I really love sandalwood and most woods paired with incense.

  45. thescentfactory says:

My favorite woody note is mahogany!!

  46. Kelly says:

Thanks for the opportunity! I’ve not tried the line, though I’ve admired the bottles. My favorite wood note is hands down vetiver. I’ve been wearing a lot of Escentric Molecules 03 lately.

  48. Anna Stromberg says:

Thank you fot the opportunity Robin!
My favorite woody note is cedar. (Second is pine).

  49. m3000 says:
    5 January 2017 at 3:12 am

These are two of my favourite woody scents, highly distinctive:
    – Ormonde Jayne’s Montabaco, transparent and elegant.
    – Nasomatto’s Duro, the wooden mallet.

Is it possible at all to win living in the Old World?

  50. ringthing says:

This sounds good! Guaiac, agar, resins, sandlewood, cedar…love them all and more. Thanks for the chance!

  51. Sydscents says:
    5 January 2017 at 9:20 am

I never had the opportunity to smell a Regime des Fleurs fragrance. I do love wood notes though. Favorites include cedar, guaiac and oud/agarwood. Thanks for the draw!

  52. Kathryn says:
    5 January 2017 at 9:27 am

I have a weakness for the juniper note in Gin Fizz because a beloved aunt wore it back in the day. Juniper Sling is pretty good, too, although better on my husband than on me. I like the hemlock in OJ Woman, love the sandalwood in Bois des Isles, and totally adore the balsam poplar in Seve Exquise. For a complete photo realistic forest accord, CB I Hate Perfume’s Wild Hunt is pretty amazing. I wear it sometimes in this dry, snow covered weather just to remember what the woods surrounding my house smell like in the spring.

  53. irving says:
    5 January 2017 at 9:39 am

My favorite woody note is vetiver, but I also love sandalwood. I’ve naver had an opportinity to try anything from Regime des Fleurs! I am in Europe. Thanks a lot for the draw!

  54. Koyel says:
    5 January 2017 at 10:02 am

Thanks for the draw, Robin! I haven’t tried anything from this house, but I do love woody scents, so sign me up for this one. Like half the people on this list, I love sandalwood. I love the scent of real cedar, but have yet to sniff a cedar perfume I like. I also love the scent of pine, but that may be sap and needles more than wood? And others’ comments suggest that vetiver counts as a woody note, so I’ll toss that in as one of my beloved scents!

  55. ta says:
    5 January 2017 at 10:07 am

    Sandalwood is my favourite.

  56. sarcon says:

    cool giveaway!

  57. jjlook says:

I love cedar (like in original FdB) and pencil shavings (Chene) and birch tar (patch 24) and I haven’t tried anything from this line…

  58. bluebellgirl says:

I love most woods, especially cedar, oud and guacwood

  59. JadainGA says:
    5 January 2017 at 1:46 pm

I love cedar the most, but a teeny bit of oud is pretty awesome too!

I’m new to Regime de Fleurs…never heard of it until today?? GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! 🙂

  60. Gennyleigh says:

I’m a vetiver fan and my go-to fragrance is Guerlain Vetiver in the EDT. Classic, dry, and earthy. Thanks for the opportunity and happy new year!

  61. samberg says:
    5 January 2017 at 4:21 pm

I’ve adored most perfumes that I come across based on rosewood. Probably Montana 80 is my favorite perfume featuring rosewood.

Regime de Fleurs is entirely new to me, thanks for introducing them and for the generous opportunity to try Falling Trees.

  62. aswalls2000 says:
    5 January 2017 at 6:24 pm

My favorite of the few Regime des Fleurs fragrances I’ve tried is Nitesurf. It’s a gorgeous marine neroli scent. Thank you for the giveaway!

  63. tiffanie says:
    5 January 2017 at 10:06 pm

I’m a cedar fan. After thinking about Falling Trees I feel like re-reading Hope Jahren’s book Lab Girl. I think she said there are more than 200 trees per human in the United States.

Thank you for the draw, and good luck to everyone.

  64. Cynthia says:

One of my favorite fragrances is Tam Dao which is a veritable forest; sandalwood, myrtle, cedar, cypress and rosewood. I’ve never tried Regime de Fleur perfumes but the descriptions sound amazing! You can use my email address.

  67. COSMICSCENTS says:
    6 January 2017 at 11:08 am

I never heard of this brand either but I am willing to experience their fragrances. I would say my favorite woody note is sandalwood since that is a note in Samsara which was my first expensive perfume 🙂

  68. EmilyinCA says:
    6 January 2017 at 11:59 am

Thank you for the giveaway! I am loving woody, resinous fragrances this winter. Cedar is particularly doing it for me! I’m interested to see if this love will continue into the spring/summer.

  69. meredifay says:
    6 January 2017 at 12:17 pm

Sandalwood and balsam fir are my favorite woody scents. I’m in the US, you can use my name, and I was intrigued by Falling Trees when I read a review, but I have not encountered any of this line. Thanks for the draw, Robin!

  70. lindeberg38 says:
    6 January 2017 at 3:36 pm

I love anything sandalwood, sequoia, oak, always deep real oud. I live in the US and you have permission to use my name.

  71. Laila says:
    6 January 2017 at 7:23 pm

Thank you for this lovely opportunity, Robin; I’ve never tried any fragrances from this line.

I never met a woody note I didn’t like! But cedar is my definite favorite, and, also, palisander and guaiac.

  72. tejas says:
    7 January 2017 at 1:38 am

I love the pine scent is Seve de pin by DSH and cedar. Thanks for the draw. I haven’t had the opportunity to try anything from this line due to my limited perfume availability in my rural area.

  73. hemabelle says:
    7 January 2017 at 3:08 pm

Thank you for the giveaway! My grandmother wears so much sandalwood that I can’t wear it without think of temples in India. My personal favorite woody note is cedar, and guaiac is a close second.

Feel free to use my name and email address!

  74. Barqs says:

I love the pine and fir notes in AG Nuit Etoilee.

  75. unseencenser says:
    10 January 2017 at 12:26 am

Yay! I’m entering by saying sandalwood is my favorite wood note (mmm, Samsara), but I love the trees in general. I don’t think there’s a wood note I’d dislike. (Though I’m ready to give oud a rest.)

  76. BobH says:
    10 January 2017 at 2:53 pm

Sandalwood, cedar, guaiac, oud… I don’t think there’s a wood/woody note I don’t like. The problems usually arise with the notes that surround them!

  77. Iso Be Super says:
    11 January 2017 at 12:57 am

I live in the US (You forgot to request it this time 🙂

Favorite wood is IsoEsuper, of course. Straight up. Twist of oud.
