The (almost) daily lemming
I have been painting my kitchen this week and too distracted to lemm anything (other than having someone else paint my kitchen), but an email from Arielle Shoshana this morning took care of that: "Régime des Fleurs' new Acanthus candle smells like sticking your head into a lilac bush and breathing deeply. House of Cherry Bomb Iris Oud, Alchemologie Nethermead, Regime des Fleurs Willows ~ short fragrance reviews
Although I tend to wear rose fragrances of all kinds when I’m “off-duty” and not testing something to review here, I also keep an eye and a nose out for interesting violet perfumes. Well, if you were trying to come up with a fragrance that would sound irresistible to me, you couldn’t do much better than that. I’m a life-long lover of rose perfumes and a former Catholic schoolgirl still deeply influenced by my religion’s iconography. I’ve also been following Chloë Sevigny’s work (and style) ever since her 1994 profile in The New Yorker, so I already know that she’s a serious perfume fan who used to wear Comme des Garçons Rose…
