Yves Saint Laurent Cuir, Vinyle & Velours ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 6 September 2016 4 Comments

Yves Saint Laurent Le Vestiaire des Parfums Collection de Nuit Cuir, Vinyle and Velours

Yves Saint Laurent will launch Cuir, Vinyle and Velours this fall. The trio of unisex fragrances, inspired by "materials eternally associated with the night", joins Tuxedo, Caban, Saharienne, Trench and Caftan in Le Vestiaire des Parfums.

Cuir ~ developed by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis, and capturing the "animal, chic and rock ‘n' roll aspects of leather". With guaiac wood, saffron, rum, tobacco, ginger, black tea, osmanthus and oud wood.

Vinyle ~ developed by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou, and capturing the "sensuality, modernity and brazenness of vinyl". With immortelle, myrrh, pink pepper, bergamot, anise and vanilla.

Velours ~ developed by perfumer Carlos Benaïm, and capturing the "dual personality of velvet -- between soft comfort and erotic power". With vanilla and amber wood.

Yves Saint Laurent Le Vestiaire des Parfums Collection de Nuit Cuir, Vinyle and Velours will be available in 125 ml.

This line needs a mini coffret, and I imagine the packaging could be really fun and fabulous if done properly.

I’d love to try Vinyle, though I doubt it will actually have a vinyl accord.

I doubt it too, but you never know.
