Le Galion Cologne & Cologne Nocturne ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 13 April 2016 7 Comments

Le Galion Cologne and Cologne Nocturne

French perfume house Le Galion has launched two new fragrances, Cologne and Cologne Nocturne.

Cologne ~ "COLOGNE is a beautiful olfactory interpretation of an imaginary meeting between Paul Vacher and [perfumer] Rodrigo Flores-Roux, sharing a cocktail and a cigar in the gardens of the Mansion house of Le Galion on a summers afternoon in the shade of blossoming orange trees. Rodrigo Flores-Roux was inspired to create this olfactory portrait by both the thought of this deliciously ideal and carefree moment." With bitter orange, bergamot, lemon, orange blossom, juniper berries, angelica, eau de brouts (similar to petitgrain), clary sage, honeysuckle and galbanum.

Cologne Nocturne ~ "Historically, Colognes are essentially composed of citrus oils, pungent Lavender, Rosemary, Thyme ... and sometimes with a base of Amber. Cologne Nocturne reverses this ratio in its composition, and offers a refined fragrance, elegant and subtle, a fragrance for the evening and the night. For Le Galion, Rodrigo Flores-Roux has created a wonderful amber water, sitting on a wealth of Wood (Modern Cedar, abstract Wood, Patchouli) for the persistent note, dressed with Lavender, Clary Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, with a spicy touch that makes it intriguing and addictive. The peak of Cologne Nocturne is an explosion of Bergamot and Lemon, subtly mixed with a touch of Rose Wood."

Le Galion Cologne and Cologne Nocturne are available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Whip and Eau Noble are great. I’d like to try Aesthete and these two!

Looking forward to these, also that beautiful photograph is by Roberto Greco, a fantastic photographic artist who does a lot of work for perfume companies.
