Yves Rocher Rose Oud ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 November 2015 17 Comments

Yves Rocher Rose Oud

Yves Rocher will launch Rose Oud, a new fragrance in their Secrets D'Essences line, in January. The first rose in the collection, Rose Absolue, is now discontinued, but others in the series include Vanille Noire, Voile d’Ambre, Tendre Jasmin and Neroli.

Rose Oud was developed by perfumer Annick Menardo, and the notes feature rose, oud, cumin and labdanum.

Yves Rocher Rose Oud will be available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

    Rose Absolue was really nice.

But it’s hard to get hold of Yves Rocher stuff here in the US, at least where I am. Sigh.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I think they closed all their US stores. The one nice thing is that they frequently release very small trial sizes of their perfumes early on, and they’re usually cheap.

And adding…plus, their free shipping threshold is usually reasonable and they usually have coupon codes floating around.

Back to Nice in a few weeks. Should I procure a sample or bottle for you? I can walk to the mall where the YR store is.

You are so sweet to offer, but I don’t think it will be out yet!

Robin, I’m there until mid-January. No harm in looking as I pass the store each time I pick up groceries. Same little shopping center.

Wow, lucky you — have a great trip!

Their online services are pretty good (and this is from a fairly reluctant online shopper). There is also no need to pay full price on their already-reasonable goods – just wait a month or two for the next round of sales. The only problem is blind-buying on the perfume goods…

Sounds interesting. The rose and the amber Sd’E are among my staples since their releases. This I imagine to be a more thorny rose. Frankly, Im curious now.

They’ve mostly done a good job on this series (Jasmin & Neroli weren’t as good as I hoped). Could be quite good and reasonably priced.

Can’t beat the price! I like their Vanille Noir too, only layered with something more “noir” though.

It seems the oud craze still has a few years to go 😉
Just smelled H&ms “the new noir”, oud in there too!

I got enabled yesterday and ended up spending half a benjamin On a wholelotof bath & body products and perfumes. Part of it was holiday gift shopping.

I was crushed when Rose Absolue was discontinued. I hope this YR take on rose will work as a replacement, though the notes seem a little darker. Still haven’t found a good replacement for Rose Absolue. Good thing I stocked up on multiple bottles when they put it on clearance.
