The Fragrance Foundation of France has announced the winners of Les Fifis 2015, the French version of the Fragrance Foundation / Fifi Awards. And the winners are:
Best women’s fragrance: Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium
Best men’s fragrance: Valentino Uomo
Best women's fragrance, prestige, consumer choice: Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir Couture
Best men's fragrance, prestige, consumer choice: Guerlain L'Homme Idéal
Prix des Experts, Collection from a Large Brand: Hermès Cuir d'Ange
Prix des Experts, Niche: Parfum d'Empire Corsica Furiosa

How odd! Wasnt black opium one of the most derided fragrances in living memory – can’t remember seeing a single positive review of it ?
The Fifi awards, other than the specialist ones shown above (consumer & experts) are given by professionals in the industry. They rarely mesh with what perfumistas would pick, and they also consider factors other than just the juice itself.
Yay for Valentino Uomo – a nice, relatively inexpensive maintream fragrance.
I am clapping for Corsica Furiosa 🙂
