Slumberhouse Kiste ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 March 2015 16 Comments

Slumberhouse Kiste

Indie brand Slumberhouse has launched Kiste, a new fragrance.

Inspired by the relentless heat of the dog days of Savannah in August, Kiste is a saturated composite of honeysuckle blossoms, sweet tea and bourbon, sticky pipe tobacco and mashed peach meat suffocated in star thistle honey and baked under the sweltering sun until all that’s left is a million hues of orange, pink and bronze.

Additional notes include Scotch heather, tonka bean, henna, elderberry and patchouli.

Slumberhouse Kiste is available now at Twisted Lily, 30 ml Parfum for $160.

I hope this is wonderful. I love honeysuckle and peach tea but Slumberhouse can be very hit or miss on me

I am way behind on testing, but so far, they’re mostly miss for me. Will keep trying though!

A rather unfortunate name in French… kyste means cyst and that`s what I think of when I say this name. LOL.

I have yet to try any Slumberhouse, but this one I’m curious about.

(Sadanne sounded interesting, from the notes, but I just couldn’t get past the name to be honest. Sad Anne? No thanks.)

This sounds really interesting, but it also sounds like it is going to be very sweet.

You’ve got my interest. I really like a lot of Slumberhouse perfumes and the notes in this are right up my alley.

As for me I say when, WHEN is he going to leave off with the fruit? Granted, fruit in Josh’s hands is marginally better than most other people’s fruit – but still. And peaches of all things.

I really, really disliked both Zahd and the other allegedly-rose one. And to think that when I discovered Slumberhouse, before this fruitomanie, it was like finding my soul delineated in fragrance. My soul, however, dislikes fruit almost as much as “clean” “musk”.

Ooh, this one is sample-worthy, at least, for me! I have yet to try Sadanne, as I am leery of the strawberry note, but I do love Jeke, Norne, and Pear & Olive.

The description of Kiste is reminiscent of several of the Hynds fragrances, of which I am wholly enamored, so I will add this one to my sample wishlist.
