Lalique Living Lalique ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 5 February 2015 11 Comments

Lalique Living Lalique

Lalique will launch Living Lalique, a new "modern powdery iris" fragrance for women.

A moment of emotion. A flight of swallows. A window opening onto a world of timeless luxury.

The quintessence of the Lalique lifestyle is expressed in a new perfume, Living Lalique.

A bold fragrance, reflecting the urban, contemporary, active life of the Lalique woman. A dream-like fragrance, sculpted from materials as luminous as crystal.

A soaring fragrance, inspired by the elegant swallow Lalique has chosen as its emblem.

The notes feature bergamot, black pepper, nutmeg, iris, tonka bean, vanilla, vetiver, cashmeran and sandalwood.

Lalique Living Lalique will debut in March; I will update with sizes and concentration when I can.

Update: Living Lalique will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, or in Extrait de Parfum (£1,000, or £9,500 for a special presentation bottle with gold leaf).

Well the notes read as nice- sounding, and the bottle is nice, as Lalique’s usually are… but nothing from the line has ever wowed me unfortunately.

Encre Noire is the only one, so far, that I love. This bottle is gorgeous, I will be hopeful.

Waaaay back in the day, they did two incredibly good scents, Nilang (1995) and Lalique Pour Homme (1997). I haven’t been interested in anything they’ve done since, to be honest.

That bottle is stunning (there’s also an extrait which is even more so), and their bottles are almost unfailingly great, which we would expect, since they started out as glassmakers and would make extraordinarily gorgeous bottles that people would buy to pour scents into, back when perfumes came in plain glass bottles.

I like Flora Bella and Lalique White very much, though Encre Noir is far and away my favorite from the line.

I loved Lalique Le Parfum – lovely vanilla, heliotrope, and sandalwood. And I have been very fond of a few others. I have high hopes for this one. Of course, my hopes will probably be dashed when the price is revealed.

I’m always interested in a new iris, but ‘luminous as crystal’ puts me off more than just a little. Gorgous bottle, anyway.

I love iris, but prefer it a little earthy to “soaring”? I love the bottle, and if I love the juice then I will probably be horrified at the price. Oh, well, everything balances out in the end…but that bottle is really very nice, isn’t it?

The notes make me think fall, not spring Or summer scents. I know I won’t run across this, but look forward to readin reviews.
