Curve Sport ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 January 2015 8 Comments

Curve Sport

Elizabeth Arden's Curve Fragrances brand has launched Curve Sport, a new flanker to 1996's Curve for Men:

Charismatic and unforgettable, this fast-paced fragrance is for the man on the move, who loves the thrill of the chase – and being chased. Get in the game with Curve Sport. Curve… see where it takes you.

The notes include red apple, bergamot, rosemary, cardamom, clary sage, lavender, vetiver, sandalwood, tobacco and sea moss.

Curve Sport is available in sizes from 15 to 125 ml Cologne.

When did they drop the Liz Claiborne from Curve brand?

Even when the Liz Claiborne brand was still active, I don’t think the name Liz Claiborne appeared on the packaging…but can’t swear to that. Can’t see the name anywhere on any of the “vintage” advertising either.

The first men’s Claiborne scent was called just Claiborne for Men, no Liz: that was in 1989. The first Curve scents in 1996 had Liz Claiborne and Claiborne under the name on the tin, but not the bottle. By 2003, the first flankers of Curve showed up and the Claiborne name had disappeared from the tins.

I used to wear the LC “Realities” perfume way back in the day. It came in a square very architechtural bottle. I wonder if it’s still being made?

I think the Curve stuff is all that remains of Liz Claiborne’s line…

But you can still buy Realities, btw.
