It's Friday At The Mall! Our community project for today: wear something from a mall chain (Lush, The Body Shop, Victoria's Secret, L'Occitane, etc & etc). What did you pick?
As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you aren’t participating in the community project.
I'm wearing L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse.
Reminder: next Friday, 12/12, wear something from Christian Dior. On 12/19, we'll do De-stress Friday...as we approach the holidays, wear something that keeps you tranquil and relaxed.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2014, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
SOTD is L’Occitane Vetyver layered over Vanilla Bergamont body butter (Bliss). Spicy and yummy!
I need some Bliss body butters!
TJ Max – I was there the other day and they had lemon sage, blood orange and white pepper, and vanilla bergamont. Good deal … between that and the body shop buy two get one free, I think I have enough lotion for three or four years 😕
Ah, I’ll check mine, thanks!
I’ve seen them at Marshall’s or Ross.
I just went to TJ Maxx yesterday and stocked up — got another vanilla and bergamot (my favorite! the only vanilla scented lotion I’ve ever loved) plus a lemon and sage. I also got some nice scented candles. Apparently early December is when they get all the good stuff — I spotted bottles of Sensuous Nude and Noir, a Reem Acra set ….
Most vanilla lotion smells like frosting with caramel. This smells like custard – the real kind with cream, the flecks from vanilla beans, and only a hint of sweet. Really nice.
Yep, and with the bergamot it’s almost like a very simplified version of Shalimar.
I don’t own any mall brands, so I’ve gone for Le Noir by Lyn Harris for Marks & Spencer (there’s an M&S in the nearby shopping centre, so that’s good enough for me). Hot spice over patchouli and amber with a faint dash of citrus. Unfortunately it, and the others in the line, seems to have gone the way of the dodo. Shame really, they were pretty good for the money.
Close enough! I remember that set, too bad it is gone.
I thought I had a bunch of Lush samples but couldn’t find them so I’m wearing the one I did find, Voice of Reason. Hoping my co-workers don’t think I just started out with scotch this morning. I actually like this a lot once it gets past the first part. The drydown reminds me a little of CB I Hate Perfume 7 Billion Hearts.
I like that one too!
I’m wearing Victoria’s Secret Heavenly. Peak mall! I shall glowingly review it as not the very worst of the world’s excess of shampoo-scented fragrances.
That really is peak mall — you are the winner so far!
Hahaha, best laugh so far as well! 🙂
My scent of the day, and probably into tomorrow, is Lush Potion. My decant of this seems to have evaporated awfully fast.
Uh oh.
It’s so strong that I can’t wear it if I’m working and when I do wear it, it’s only one spray at a time so I definitely haven’t used almost 4ml.
I had the Potion lotion and I still have the solid perfume. Awesome scent!!!
I’m wearing The Body Shop White Musk. This was one of my favorite perfumes in high school, when I couldn’t afford (and wasn’t aware of) much else. These days I use it most often for layering, and will probably add a little dab of something else (maybe Angel) later today.
And it’s still going strong! Wish their new Red Musk was better.
Lots of memories of this one! Actually, I’m not sure I could wear it now, might bring back the experience of being 17 a little too viscerally!
Smelling it reminds me of specific clothing items I had c. 1990, which is odd because I didn’t wear it that much.
Egad – being 17 WAS the worst, wasn’t it. Well, maybe second to being 15. 🙂
I snagged a coffret of two bottles of White Musk at TJ Maxx over the summer, and have been looking for an excuse to break them out. Today’s the day! Finally a Friday scent-of-the-day in which I can take part! It’s an almost aggressively pleasant scent, isn’t it?
That was a high school favorite for me as well – that and their Dewberry. Yum.
L’Occitane Ambre & Santal from La Collection de Grasse.
(Still drooling over the Yog Nog…)
I’m wearing this one as well (second outing this week). I was surprised to realize this morning that this is my only ‘mall chain’ fragrance (though I’ve owned other L’Occitanes before, and TBS and BBW ones in the distant past). I think Ambre & Santal is a very well-crafted fragrance that can hold its ground against niche offerings in this genre. It’s a very easy-to-wear scent and is becoming a go-to on colder mornings when I can’t quite decide what fragrance to wear. The shower gel in the scent is surprisingly long-lasting, too.
I went for it today and am wearing Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy, which is vanilla, clementine and blackberry. I don’t think it’s bad for what it is, and I actually like the residual smell on fabric.
I tried layering it with some floral musk oil to give it more depth, but the musk got completely overpowered. Hence, I shouldn’t have been surprised when someone at work asked “Is that perfume?” I wear fragrance every single day, so I’m pretty mortified that apparently this one drew attention. Feeling a little self-conscious now that I either smell terrible, or I wore waaaaay too much.
Should’a gone with my Williams Sonoma spiced chestnut lotion…
Yeah, I am mortified if someone says “I smell perfume.”
One of my coworkers asked me one day if she was smelling perfume or air freshener… I was pretty put off, as I was wearing a $240 bottle of Profumum Vanitas. (!)
I realise that I must be a terrific fragrance snob as I don’t have any Mall chain fragrance in my collection. So I decided to move as far away as possible from those scents in wearing Chanel’s Cuir de Russie in extrait.
I do enjoy these community projects though and next week I will be a better perfumista and join in the fun more seriously 🙂
I bought a bottle of the CdR edt and cannot wait for it to get here!
The edt is smokier and not as lush as the extrait, although extremely beautiful as well. I have a decant of the EDT and a full bottle of the extrait. I hope you enjoy your Cuir de Russie!
I wavered between getting the extrait or the edt for a while, but since I’ve already splurged on other FBs (Journey Woman and Nuit Rouge by Antonio Alessandria) I figured I’d go with the cheaper edt bottle. I’ve never actually tried the extrait and just read what reviews I could find about the current version. I did have a decant of the dt though and fell completely in love with it. I like smoky notes.
We’re both in Chanel!
You’re not the only snob as I’m wearing 31 Rue Cambon and very happy to smell so lovely! 🙂
Well, if you are going to go snob you might as well go Chanel!
Nice!!! I don’t have any mall scents, either, so I chose Coromandel!
Nor do I, though I own plenty of Lush and Body Shop body products, just no perfumes. I haven’t chosen my SOTD yet. I like your approach …
Oh thank goodness there are others who have no mall perfume. I had a few things but gave or swapped them away, one I left in the lady’s room at the library when no one else was in there. Since it takes time to use up a whole bottle, And there are only so many days in a lifetime, I decided to use only what I love best.
I had a hard day and traveling to house calls by bus in the cold takes its toll. Tonight I had a clove cigarette and 2 sprays of Ambre Sultan, wrapped up in my wool shawl and now luxuriate on the couch.
That is not the first time you have abandoned perfume in public 🙂 It reminds me of a community that I heard about where people leave excess zucchinis on their neighbor’s porches. Clove cigarettes do smell good.
Layered L’Occitane White Tea (discontinued) over Atelier Vetiver Fatale. It’s an interesting mix and the White Tea ended up being much warmer as a result.
I don’t own any scents from these stores but it less a matter of snobbery and more an issue of never/rarely going in these stores. The idea of Lush intrigues me – are these perfumes everyone is wearing or more body spray type of things?
Another sample package arrived so I couldn’t resist trying something new anyway! SOTD is 24 Faubourg which started kind of HUGE on me but after an hour I am mostly getting that salty ambergris feeling from another Hermes I already own, Eau des Merveilles. I will have to try this one a few times to see what I really think. This was totally not a casual ‘quick errands with no makeup’ kind of perfume 😀
Most of the Lush frags I’ve seen mentioned today are not body sprays. They’re mostly liquid perfumes or solids and are stronger than a body spray. I don’t think that they usually list concentrations, like EDT or EDP, but I would put Rose Jam and Sikkim Girls in the EDP category.
Oops, that was meant to be a stand-alone comment, sorry! But I did want to say that I love Vetiver Fatale and while I’ve never smelled White Tea I’m sure you smell great!
Haha, no worries. It’s a shame L’Occitane doesn’t make White Tea anymore because it really is a very beautiful tea perfume. I like wearing it most in the summer time. It’s like that ice-cold-tea-on-a-hot-day sort of scent 🙂
I had forgotten all about today’s theme, but it so happens that SOTD is Korres’ Iris Cotton Lily of the Valley. I was out for drinks yesterday and when I woke up, well, I wasn’t in the mood for anything complicated. I had underestimated this scent, it turns out that I quite like it after all.
L’occitane Neroli today. I bought this about 9 years ago, but I don’t think it’s the original drooled over one. It is however, pretty damn good! I liked the older L’occitane scents- they had a bit more depth and darkness to them. This is the one in the travel range, and I have the 3 minis in a little gold compass travel holder.
I too have gone with Close Enough, and am wearing MAC’s Naked Honey.
I don’t have a Lush. L’Occitane or TBS anywhere near me… we do have a B&BW and a Victoria’s Secret, but I’m bitter over the direction VS has gone with regards to their fragrances. (I still miss the original Victoria, and every ebay bottle I’ve found has been unwearably degraded – which might have been why it was d/c in the first place, but NO MATTER, I miss the days when VS was classy. I do still have a bottle of Pink, the old peony-green floral one, but it’s too cold and wet for that today.)
My options would be a sample of Lush’s The Scent of Weather Turning, which is fascinating but sort of weird, and my old standby B&BW Velvet Tuberose, which has been relegated to bathroom deodorizer lately… Hmm. I might have to punt this Friday challenge. L’Arte di Gucci is calling my name.
Scent of weather turning is weird and wonderful!
I do like it after the first 30-40 minutes or so, but wasn’t up to the weirdness this morning. The drydown’s lovely.
LUSH Imogen Rose!
L’Occitane Orange Leaves
I have this eau de cologne in the travel size and love it; it’s like the whole orange fruit, tree, leaves, twigs, etc.
My SOTD is Rose Jam perfume by Lush. It is very sweet and very strong, so I apply it with a cotton ball. One tiny spritz on a cotton ball that I dab once behind each ear. I am careful not to get it on my shirt, because I don’t like the way it smells on fabric.
My husband sniffed me this morning and said that he was undecided on it. He thinks it’s too sour. It does have a lot of lemon up top.
I keep it in the fridge because it is so potent that it take me forever to use it up.
I never got to try the perfume, but I love Rose Jam in its other forms and really can’t get enough of it! (I think I’m experiencing mall-scent envy.)
Scent twin!
I apply one spritz on my low back before getting dressed and I find it plenty enough to last me all day (I can still smell it almost just as much 11 hours later!)
You smell great! When my husband picked me up today from work, I had him sniff behind my ears. He liked it much more at the end of the day than 10 minutes after application.
Today, I am wearing Victoria’s Secret “Bombshell”. This is the only perfume I will wear from them. And, it has to be the original. I don’t like any of the million of flankers they have out.
My only complaint is that it doesn’t last as long as I would like for it to. But, it is a nice scent.
I’m wearing some Plumeria body spray from B&BW that was part of a secret Santa gift from a co-worker back in 2001. Surprisingly, it still smells pretty much as it always did – no degradation from age. Maybe it’s like the cockroach….still alive and kicking after the apocalypse! lol
Oh wow, this one brought back memories. My mom and sister love Plumeria.
Oh, Plu-MER-ia! The world went cold and dark the day B&BW discontinued that scent. Luckily, I bought as many lotions and creams as I could get my hot little hands on during the seasonal sales. Love that stuff.
Lush Sikkim Girls
Love that one too.
Me too!
That one is my favorite of the Gorilla perfumes. You smell great!
Bath and Body Works Rice Flower and Shea. Probably the last unsugared BBW scent they put put and sadly discontinued. I love it. Very smooth clean beige scent. 🙂
I miss their P.S. I Love You… a very nice affordable ambery-rose. 🙁
Hi perfume people. Today I’ve gone for my favourite Lush perfume – Lust. It’s big, it’s brash, it’s indolic – I love it. The other half did come into the dining room though where I’d just sprayed it and commented on the very strange smell in the room. He said there was something that smelt like nail polish and wood!
That’s my favorite Lush scent too!
I can’t believe I’m the first person to comment wearing L’Occitane Eau des Baux. I wanted this for years and finally bought a bottle this year as a birthday gift for my hubs, after discovering that he likes it too.
I’m buying it for my husband for Christmas! We both like it.
A gift for him/them is a gift for me/us 🙂
I almost wore that today — good stuff!
Scent twins! I really like this one–great comfort scent, and really LASTS on my skin 😀
I *have* smelled that one! (on, of all things, a band trip where the kids and chaperones got two hours at Tysons Corner) Considered buying it, wish I had.
EdB is still being sold, so it’s not too late 🙂
Yeah… would have to order online, though. Unless they’ve got free shipping or a massive discount thing I probably won’t bother. 🙁
I just checked — free shipping on all orders of $25+ 🙂
For years I thought “I don’t need another amber” but it doesn’t smell like my other ambers! It has a pleasant herbal/aromatic/medicinal thing going on.
You can always order it online! They are always having sales and discount codes.
2 hours at Tysons corner?? Best trip ever 🙂
I am wearing L’Occitane Ruban D’Orange; a very nice orange cologne. I wish they would bring this one back in the lotion.
Me, too, bright and fresh and spicy with a nice vetiver note!
Ditto! (I mean, I wish they’d bring it back)
Well, I was dreading this challenge. I don’ t have anything that qualifies, although many years ago I did have a Body
Shop Lilac fragrance oil.
My SOTD is something I bought a long time ago at a mall when mall shopping was the only game anywhere: Clarins Eau Dynamisante.
Cheers!!
I completely forgot that one, it’s gorgeous and I own a bottle of it.
We are total scent twins!!!
SOTD for me is Philosophy Snow Angel. It has kind of a minty and frosty smell.
Vintage Chanel N. 5, because I needed a mood lifter, but I’m layering it over The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit body butter, which I like very much.
I was wondering which Chanel you had chosen, I actually like to layer perfume with scented lotion but had to get up too early this morning to achieve any kind of successful layering so I just stuck to Cuir and non perfumed lotion. You smell great I’m sure.
I think the grapefruit lotion works very nicely with Shalimar, but with N. 5 there was no common ground for the two scents to merge, so they were just kind of superposed. But, of course, No. 5 won the battle, and it’s aldehydes were all I needed to feel alive again! I’m sure you smell great, Cuir de Russie in EdT is so beautiful already, I can only imagine how wonderful the extrait must be.
It is! Subtle and lush. Glad you are feeling better.
I’m wearing L’Occitane Wild Honey and Vanilla. It was a tough decision and I had a hard time choosing between that, B&BW Vanilla Noir, A VS scent with lots of cranberry and vanilla and L’Occitane Delice des Fleurs. There are a lot of mall scents in my wardrobe. 😉 Even some vintage VS Tranquil Breezes, but I like to save that one for warm weather.
Oh, the days when I could just be satisfied with perfume shopping at the mall…
Oh man, Tranquil Breezes was ALL THE RAGE when I was in 6th grade. That smells is burned on my brain.
Yep. Same here and I remember feeling so grown up when I got some of it and Pear Glace as body splashes right around seventh or eigth grade. I splurged on the edt my junior year of high school and thought I was hot stuff strutting around school. lol
Oh, and while I didn’t appreciate it back then, a friend of mine in junior high used to drench herself in a VS Vanille Caramel perfume which, in moderation, would probably be really nice now. I think there was an entire line of them. Too bad they’ll probably never be brought back.
Yeah I had a little coffret of VS mini’s back then — I remember liking the freesia one too.
L’Occitane Delice des Fleurs = Mmmmm, macarons . . . .
I won’t disclose just how many Delice des Fleurs gift sets I bought back when beauty.com had them and ran their 20% off sales. They came with a full size edt, full size shower gelee that’s fantastic, little lotion, 30ml scented shea hand cream and tin of rose or violet flavored lip balm. And I “may” have gone on a little stocking up spree on Evilbay, too. I simply can’t get over how much I love that stuff. It is totally like macarons in a bottle. Swoon…
VS used to really have some great perfumes. I always loved Enchanted Apple, Tender Orchid, Tranquil Breeze and some blend of peach and hyacinth that was the perfect mix of both, and still always keep bottles of Rapture around since it’s one of Mr. Ab. Scent’s favorites and what he wanted me to wear for our small, simple wedding since I wore it when we dated. 😉
Yes, I have that same Delice des Fleurs gift set (but only one!). It’s so lovely and always reminds me of a trip to Paris and the beautiful Laduree macarons!
Tranquil Breezes! Ah, the memories. We would go crazy buying the little trial sizes of the shower gel and lotion in all the flavors: Sparkling Cassis, Something Apple, and a pink flowery one I can’t recall. Loved those.
I really miss B&BW Freesia. Sheer Freesia is not at all the same thing. SIGH.
Mals, B&BW’s Freesia was really nice, as was their Plumeria and the Tuberose that came out some years back. I wish they’d try to make some nice soliflores again. The last flowery one I tried was Butterfly Garden and it just smelled like pollin-dipped violet candies on my skin.
I’m traveling, and the only thing I brought with me that qualifies for today’s theme is L’Occitane’s Green Tea & Bigarade shower gel. It’s nice in the shower, but the scent doesn’t linger at all. Not sure what I’ll wear later – brought a small decant of Santa Maria Novella Eva with me and might go with that.
Indulging my inner child’s love of Christmas cookies today, I’m wearing two of my favorite mall scents: the original L’Occitane Vanille (1996?) in parfum extrait form dabbed over a thin veil of BBW’s Vanilla Bean Noel body lotion. I hear “Mmmm, you smell good” whenever I wear these, often from perfect strangers standing in a grocery store line..
When L’Occitane opened their first boutique near me (in mid-to-late 90’s), their fragrances were simple yet rich and long-lasting, especially in the delightfully tiny extrait bottles that could tuck into the smallest of pockets: the deep, caramelly Vanille, orange-cinnamon Canelle, the classic warmth of Ambre, and (swoonworthy on men) original Vetyver. By the early 2000’s these had all been d/c or morphed into something ‘less-than’ and were clearanced out. Luckily, I picked up numerous extraits, edt’s and small wax solids; gave some as gifts and still wear and have some today – they’ve lasted well. The original Vanille is my very favorite vanilla scent and I will cry when it’s all gone – but I still have 1 edt and 1 extrait in my stash – whew!
Extraits from L’Occitane? I don’t think we had L’Occitanes out here until well into the 2000s. Those sound delicious.
Yes, I remember it from the 90s as more luxurious than it is now. I still have some incense from then.
I am wearing Fruits& Passion Rose, it was a gift and I am not sure if I love it.
I’m a big ol’ Lush bomb today. I’m wearing Rose Jam layered with Lust. It’s a nice combo, but you can’t go too wrong with rose and jasmine. I guess I must be more sillage-y than normal, though, because I work with two guys who never notice perfume, and they both did today. Luckily they both commented positively, with one saying it was soothing. He also said it smelled kind of like incense to him, which was interesting.
I also don’t wear the Rose Jam perfume all that much.. I think I’ve given more of it away than I actually wear. I love the shower gel, and I absolutely adore Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, but the perfume is sharper and more lemony, which I’m not always thrilled about. But layering with Lust seems to be helping cut the sharpness a bit.
Rose Jam perfume AND Lust? I’ve only read about Lust, but holy cow, you must be a Lush bomb today!
Yes, the perfume is a bit too sharp for me for the first hour or so, but if I only apply it to my skin, then the sharpness fades after an hour or so. If I get it on my clothing, then it’s sharp all day 🙁
SOTD = Lush Rose Jam
Kindcrow will probably pass out if she knows how many times I pressed the sprayer and I am not telling.
I almost wore L’Occitane Immortelle di Corse but decided against it since I searched heaven and earth for it and finally found it while on vacation in Brussels 3 years ago.
Oh … my … I can smell you all the way in California and you smell good. I bow to your olfactory fortitude — one spray is too much for me.
Our local L’Occitane had an immortelle perfume a few years ago, but they only had a tester that they brought out from the back room for me to smell. I liked it, and I should have purchased it when it was on-line 🙁
Haha!
Wearing Gap Sugarsnap body mist. I have a huge 8.4 oz glass bottle that I got for a whopping $5.97. Think it was from a set they did about 5 years ago and I have another one that is kind of tropical called Islandhop. According to the label, it is a “tantalizing blend of pear flower and dew-drenched lotus, founded by creamy white woods and a dash of musk.” I don’t know about the woods and musk, but it is a very sweet green fruity floral. More apple-y than pear to me. And I’m sure it will disappear in time for me to put something different on this afternoon – maybe one of the B&BW body sprays I got on clearance – White Citrus or Lemon Vanilla.
whoops – that should be grounded, not founded!
I like White Citrus, at least in the shower gel.
That shower gel is the best, isn’t it? All that tart citrus really wakes you up.
I used to have an adorable set of Gap purse sprays, in little metal canisters, called “Heaven”, “Dream”, “Grass”, etc. I really enjoyed them, don’t know what I would think of the scents now that I am a bit more sophisticated about fragrance.
Those were the best! Had Heaven and Dream, my bro wore Grass and a boyfriend wore Earth.
I loved the Peony oil they were making for a while.
LUSH for me today too. Flower’s Barrow. I also have Devil’s Nightcap, but that is SOOOOOO strong, and SOOOOOO animalic, I thought it wouldn’t go over too well at work.
I still have a bottle of Tranquil Breezes body spray. Still going strong and smells great.
Today I went total Bath and Bodyworks. I used Vanilla Bean Noel bodywash in the shower, then followed up with Apricot Vanilla body lotion. I may do a light spritz of Tresor later tonight. Believe it or not, these two actually work well together. I wish they would bring this scent back. I am almost out of lotion and body spray 🙁
Yes, I also enjoy a spritz of Tresor over the apricot/vanilla. The BBW lemon vanilla also makes for nice layering with many scents.
@Laila I will have to try layering lemon vanilla with things. Thank you for the tip!
Apricot is listed as a note in Tresor, so that sounds like a great layering combo. Tresor doesn’t grab me when I wear it, but on a friend at work, it reads as the most heavenly violet fragrance.
Although I think the only mall perfumes I own would be Chanel and Annick Goutal–do those count?–because I’ve been selling some of Tama Blough’s perfumes for her, I have a whole box of mall perfumes in my house that I’ve never tried. So because of today’s theme, I decided to test two Gorilla perfumes of hers, Sikkim Girls and Furze. I’m liking the Sikkim Girls, though it does remind of me Songes, which I already own.
Also wearing Lush Rose Jam! It was a highly successful blind buy last year when everyone was bemoaning its limited edition status. It’s strong stuff and I have to be in the right mood for its rosy baby powder goodness.
I don’t actually have many mall perfume choices. Right off, I only thought of that coconut lime verbena one and the original Breath of God (which shouldn’t count, I guess). I might have worn Aveda Yatra, had I not forgotten it was tucked away in the fridge. I’m sometimes tempted by the pretty L’Occitaines but don’t have any currently.
Wow, that photo, Robin — really beautiful!
Another L’Occitane brand shot, from their website!
Forgot about the Friday Project today and put on MFK Cologne pour le Soir, which I have been wearing pretty steadily for the past several days, thanks to a Fumie Friend Swap (Tipping my hat to AnnS)! I have a nice size spritz sample and if a full bottle were to come knocking at my door I wouldn’t turn it away. However, methinks this is only available in a 200ml bottle and I didn’t even bother to check the price because that is just way TOO much juice for me.
After some yard work later, I will be showering with Rose Jam and scenting myself up with Vanillery Solid from LUSH so I guess I get points for partial participation 😉
Hope you all have a Fab Friday!
In a little late, but I’m wearing Cocktail by Lush. My fave ylang ylang.
Delice d’Fleurs for me, layered over Khiel’s musk… Even this way, it’s just too girly for me. I did wear a spray of it once to complement Jolie Madame and that worked quite well. Basically just added violet-sweetness 🙂
I had a hard time deciding between Lush Lust and L’Occitane Labdanum, but finally Lust won out 😉 so I’m scent twins with meganinstmaxime and sort of scent twins with sweetgrass (I’d love to try that Rose Jam/Lust combo!).
L’Occitane’s verbena for me today. I have a small bottle in my swimming bag and as I went straight from swimming to work it’s my go to fragrance on those days. It doesn’t last long so I put it on with a heavy hand and it makes me all nostalgic for holidays in the south of France!
Using up a sample of L’Occitane Neroli Orchidee. It’s rather pleasant really!
I really need to branch out and try some L’occitane and Lush. The way everyone has described them, I must try.
They are both very much worth trying – hope you find one (or more) that you love!
It seems that L’occitane and Lush are the most popular around here. BBW, Body Shop and Victoria Secret probably next and then others mentioned: Philosophy, Korres…
Not that I actually tallied them up!
I am rather late to the game today, but I am wearing the Arquiste for J. Crew No. 57 and it is delightful! I have to say, I really enjoy it, and it’s not what I expected, but in a good way. It’s got a burst of citrus in the beginning (lime?) and then LOTS of booze, and then it turns into a lovely, warm, almost gourmand fragrance. I got the rollerball during their 30% off Black Friday sale and now I am tempted to get the other one.
Oh wow those were eligible?? Sorry I missed that, honestly I might have gotten the bottle. I think it’s great stuff.
It is so nice! They were eligible, which was great. I really wish I had gotten the other fragrance too, or a FB of the 57, because it is SO nice. I got a bunch of compliments on it last night, too. It’s been a really great winter scent. I bet that these will go on sale after Christmas though. That seems to be what happens with the J. Crew beauty products.
I would have liked to wear Eau des Missions from Couvent des Minimes today but my bottle hasn’t arrived yet. So I wore Papillon Anubis. Love the tobacco in that one.
