Joya Foxglove ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 31 October 2014 16 Comments

Joya Foxglove

New York-based indie line Joya has launched Foxglove, the brand's fifth fragrance.

"Central Park was my initial muse, and then it became an exploration of the entire botanical history of all the parks and wetlands here," says Joya owner Frederick Bouchardy of the studio's latest 'FoxGlove' perfume oil. Inspired by the scents of New York City and named for a 19th century odorless plant, this fragrance is a fresh blend of Saltmeadow Cordgrass, Hyacinth Leaves, Jasmine and White Cedar.

Joya Foxglove is available now at Net-A-Porter, $112 for 75 ml Parfum. The handcrafted porcelain bottle features a 22-karat gold-dipped wand applicator.

Update: additional notes include blood orange, camellia, jonquil, oak and musk.

It’s really pretty in that green shade! Their first two were black and white, this is much nicer.

My reaction…”I could make that!” or I could just buy it. Not too sure about the juice, tho…but the bottle would look great next to the Shalimar and N. 5…..

Someday I will own one of their porcelain bottles; but will most likely get this in the roll-on, whenever that’s available.

And wherever. Am sad that I won’t be able to just go get it at Henri Bendel!

    Foxglove? Digitalis?

A poison by any other name (I suppose) would smell as sweet!
