Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles (& some other stuff) 2014, part 20

Posted by Robin on 24 September 2014 13 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes collector items from Guerlain, Hello Kitty, Yves Saint Laurent and Aramis; plus new packaging from Keiko Mecheri.

Guerlain + Macon & Lesquoy La Petite Robe Noire

From Guerlain, La Petite Robe Noire in black Baccarat crystal with embroidered flowers by Macon & Lesquoy. In 250 ml Extrait de Parfum. (via maconetlesquoy, found via Monsieur Guerlain at Facebook)

Hello Kitty Ruby 2014

From the Hello Kitty collection at Sephora, a Ruby Solid Perfume Cocktail Ring ($29) and a 10 ml Ruby Roller Girl ($26), both in the original Hello Kitty fragrance.

Yves Saint Laurent Opium collector edition 2014

From Yves Saint Laurent, Opium in a collector edition for Holiday 2014, with white and yellow gold accents. 50 ml Eau de Parfum, £67. (via diarydirectory)

Aramis Classic Anniversary Edition

From Aramis, the Aramis Classic Anniversary Edition: "Celebrating 50 years of Aramis, the Exclusive Harrods Anniversary Edition is wrapped in a soft and luxurious faux leather sleeve. Classic, yet distinctly masculine, this warm woody fragrance will set you apart from the crowd." £60 for 110 ml Eau de Toilette at Harrods.

Keiko Mecheri new packaging 2014

New packaging (really, just new caps) for the 75 ml bottles from niche line Keiko Mecheri. (via Keiko Mecheri at Facebook)

Oh dear goodness..that Guerlain bottle, I looooooove it. Oh dear Santa..I know I am a pain in the neck most of the time but please come down the chimney..ok I don’t have one..but do drop off that Guerlain bottle at my place. I will put homemade cookies out this time, not the cheapo store bought ones with organic milk. Ok? Thanks Santa.

It’s thousands of dollars, isn’t it?

I think many thousands, and suspect only 1 was made.

And it contains 250 mL of extrait de parfum. A cup. A cup of extrait.

I guess the contents aren’t really the point, though. That bottle is the point.

It costs 12,000 euros, by the way, something over 15 grand in US dollars. Time to splurge!

There was a fair amount of internet hyperventilation recently when Sanrio asserted that Hello Kitty is NOT a cartoon kitty, but rather a cartoon little girl who lives near London.

I saw that. It’s crazy. I don’t care what Sanrio thinks, Hello Kitty is a kitty.
