B Balenciaga ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 6 June 2014 14 Comments

b-balenciaga-s

Balenciaga will launch B Balenciaga, a new fragrance for women and the first from the brand under designer Alexander Wang. Per Mr. Wang,

I’ve always been attracted to scents with strong green notes, and we also added a darker woody flair to it.

B Balenciaga was developed by perfumer Domitille Bertier. The notes include lily of the valley, violet, green leaves accord, edamame accord, iris, cedar, ambrette seeds and cashmeran wood.

B Balenciaga will debut in October. I will update with sizes and concentration when I can.

Update: B Balenciaga is available in 50 ($110) and 75 ($145) ml Eau de Parfum.

Nice that Balenciaga don’t seem to be doing the whole pink and fruity thing, I’m looking forward to trying it to see how green it is.
Still, it’s a rather pink looking bottle for a green fragrance…

Mostly at the moment disappointed in the bottle…not nearly as nice as Balenciaga Paris or Florabotanica. But we’ll see! I hope it’s VERY green.

Agree about the bottle, but hopefully the way it smells will sell it…

edamame accord, is this quite a novelty? In any case B sounds interesting, being a “B” myself 🙂

Avon had a Soy Edamame fragrance ages ago…haven’t seen it in anything else I can think of.

I thought of B by Boucheron…which isn’t a bad scent. Soy accord is interesting, edamame beans are so bland, but perhaps an accord might be alright.

I will give this a sniff. Not crazy about these new Balenciaga fragrances. I love vintage Michelle which is hard to find.

P.S. I HATE HATE HATE HATED Those WhatchaBotanica Bottles and the fragrances were GOD AWFUL as well! That FloraBotanica thing gave me a THROBBING, SPLITTING headache upon first whiff. NASTY DRECK!
