Bond no. 9 Hudson Yards ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 24 February 2014 10 Comments

Bond no. 9 Hudson Yards

Bond no. 9 will launch Hudson Yards, a new spring fragrance named for the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project in New York City. The last scent from the brand was Saks New York Oud.

We are talking about Hudson Yards, the massive abandoned area at the western edge of Manhattan, adjacent to Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen, and to a modest extent, the tip of the Hudson River. Imagine how new, towering skyscrapers will emerge in the westernmost Midtown area (the highest with 408 m will even tower above the Empire State Building). Imagine a bustling mini-metropolis of ultra modern apartment buildings, large office complexes, new cultural facilities and luxury hotels, shops and markets and an underground station for the extended No. 7 line and also a ferry terminal. And you are still in New York!

The notes include lily of the valley, freesia, pink pepper, peony, rose, lychee, orange blossom, iris and white musk.

Bond no. 9 Hudson Yards will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum; look for it in April.

Update: Hudson Yards was developed by perfumer Aurélien Guichard.

Yet another Bond…..can people actually tell them apart?

I admit I am having trouble keeping them straight…it’s a huge line at this point.

Even the sales people can’t tell them apart! There’s a rep devoted to the Bond No. 9 counter at the department store I frequent, and I’m pretty sure that no matter what people say they like, he sprays them with Chinatown.

I admit I have not smelled all the new releases from the last couple years, still, that makes sense to me: I’d think it’s the most likely sell.

Perhaps I would like if it were the late eighties, I did jump on the day-glo wagon for a short while. lol. Not when the trend resurfaced recently though, did we really need that one back? lol.

It’s big the last two years…I’d expect the next one to be bright orange.

I received a sample of this from the Bond rep I know and I must say, it’s awesome!!!! I love it! It reminds me of Jadore but better!! I love the bond Saks for her, but this is my second fav! Way to go Bond!! I hope the longevity is there. Will wait to see on that.
