A long time ago, I read a novel that I’ve mostly forgotten now, except for a minor character, a woman named Lloyd. The one detail I remember about Lloyd — a detail even more chic than her name — is that all the accessories in her purse were made of green leather. Today we’re helping Florence. What is it: the first two fragrances from Fragrance Republic, a new “club” that sends out original fragrances (I think they are projecting 10 a year) to its members. Their tag line: “in nose we trust”. 01/01 is an iris fragrance by perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer, and 01/02 is a tuberose fragrance by perfumer Julie Massé. Both are in 15 ml and were tested lightly; larger sizes are available for sale at the Fragrance Republic website.
