Elizabeth Arden Untold

Elizabeth Arden has launched Untold, a new fragrance for women celebrating "downtown New York cool".

Untold was developed by perfumer Clément Gavarry; the notes include pink pepper, bergamot, pear, blackcurrant, gardenia, jasmine, patchouli, sandalwood, amber and musk.

Elizabeth Arden Untold is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching bath & body products.

Hello medieval princess in the city! Lol! That ad is a no no for me. -_-

Right? Downtown cool is now looking like the Rennaisance Faire?

I find the dress interesting…it looks like 50’s Couture mixed with a futuristic element (the “V” on the bodice) and a dollop of Medieval romance in the sleeves…

Interested in the dress. Do you have information where to buy. Doesn’t
Have to be couture. Look a like is good also.

The dress looks sort of cool, but not what I think of as “New York Cool” — and there is something odd about the way the bridge cables seem to be holding her up at the shoulder, isn’t there? Or is that just me?

I didn’t notice the positioning of the cables until you pointed it out…but unless it was meant as a subliminal message of some sort, it strikes me as poor design.

Lol, the notes don’t look promising either.

The notes are certainly nothing unique…no more pink pepper, please!

To me she looks like a bride at her rooftop reception that just realized she married the wrong man.
I don’t know what notes compromise regret, but from her expression I believe she just caught a whiff.

@juicejones – so funny! Maybe Elizabeth Arden is intentionally going for the bridal segment already mired in doubt. “If you don’t like ”
    Beautiful”, maybe you’ll like “Doubtful”.

The Bottle Looks Very Pretty. The Notes… they sound Perfectly Pretty as well… not going to set the world on Fire with originality, but then again it doesn’t need to if it simply smells good! Not every fragrance has to have the Serge Lutens Seal Of Approval for Uniqueness….

EA isn’t known for daring or original scents. Actually, I thought the patchouli, amber, and musk seemed pretty daring for them! Still, Green Tea and Honeysuckle was nice…and inexpensive!

I work right next to the Brooklyn Bridge, and no one on the street looks like that. The dress is perfectly ridiculous as an expression of downtown NYC and would get filthy in a NY minute. So is the hair, makeup, everything. Downtown is full of people covered in tats and with piercings in their noses and lips. Soho and Tribeca, which I guess is the downtown to which the ad refers, are full of chain stores catering to foreign tourists. Maybe EA thinks Manhattan is Camelot?

Do downtown New Yorkers wear such archaic costumes?

Well I bought it and what a nice surprise!! Fresh, creamy, really nice scent! Modern also. I expected some classy neutral scent, this isn’t the case, this has a pretty creamy sweetness..lovely!!
