Posted by Robin on 27 June 2013 8 Comments

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Gold Essence

Donna Karan has launched Cashmere Mist Gold Essence, a new limited edition flanker to 1994′s Cashmere Mist. Cashmere Mist Gold Essence follows last year's Cashmere Mist Pearl Essence.

Inspired by the mesmerizing halo of gold, indulge in the caress of Cashmere Mist Gold Essence, a warm veil of pure luxury and sensuality. The fragrance opens with the natural freshness of crisp crushed ivy leaves, sublimated by the intoxicating bouquet of Lotus Flower, and Jasmine Absolute. As the fragrance unwraps, it reveals a rich background of woods, for a fragrant celebration of a modern and confident femininity.A seductive new way to indulge. Experience the warm sensuality of cashmere in a whole new light. Introducing the latest limited edition fragrance Cashmere Mist Gold Essence, where the light of gold meets the luxe of Cashmere.

Additional notes include cassis, bergamot, gardenia, sandalwood, amber and teak wood.

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Gold Essence is available now at Macy's, 50 ml Eau de Parfum for $82.

Cashmere Mist was one of my first loves and will always have a special place in my heart….but enough already! CM is looking to set a record for flankers, yet Gold got about five minutes of distribution. This blatant lack of creativity makes me grumpy.

Well, you got to be grumpy at consumers, too, right? Obviously they did not respond to Gold — I thought it was a fabulous scent, but it apparently did not find much of an audience.

Yes, but I’m used to being grumpy with consumers. :)

Worth a sniff, I think. I also loved Cashmere Mist at one time (though it seems boring to me today) and Pearl Essence wasn’t bad.
